I love fantasy. I love a touch of magic. I love a little otherworldly. But, apart from reading my other loves are numbers and science. Which means that I also really love sci-fi. So, when I was asked if I was willing to give a new sci-fi author a chance, I didn't doubt and said yes. I had no idea what to expect and what kind of story would come my way, but today I started reading this arc and it was love at first sight.
I mostly read science-fiction for the science elements and there were loads of amazing science elements in this story. The entire foundation of the story is a science experiment. One of the most horrible and inhuman sort, one that current laws luckily forbid and one that our heroine came up with, although she never meant for it to be used like this. I loved how thought out the science was and how believable it seemed and felt.
And although our heroine is royalty and on the brink of getting into an arranged marriage, I really loved that she was more than just a pretty face her dad could give away to the highest bidder. She was also smart, she was kind, she was loving and she was honest. It was therefore easy to like her and even easier to understand why our hero loved her, even though her barely knew her. She was not perfect, but she was beautifully human.
Just like the monsters. In this book it's quite clear who the real monster is. The lines are very clearly drawn and from the very first chapter we know who's on the right and who's on the wrong side of it. I love how, even though they all have some beast like traits, the men are still very human at their core. They've been through hell and they've been facing the worst and still they have it in them to forgive and to love.
I can't wait to get to know the other guys better in future books! At least, I assume the future books will be about them!

Raynia is an accomplished scientist and a Royal who is told what to do and who to marry by her father and isn't given much choice. Her guilt makes her comply even though she doesn't love the man she is to marry. The best thing, she thinks, is that they are cordial to one another and they will be working together and she can finally be her own scientist without the shadow of her father. On the day of her wedding, she calls her fiance and they are soon cut off so she goes to the ship he is on to investigate the problem. But to her dismay, she finds out that all her ideas and theories have been altered and used for something terrible. She has been betrayed by the one closest to her and her work has been warped into something evil. Once she meets 'the beasts' she learns that there is much more to life than she originally thought. And she will do anything to escape the evil of the world and make things right again.
I really loved this book from the get-go. Raynia and Ryker were quick to like characters for the reader and you soon get really attached to both of them as well. The action does not stop at any point, the characters are full-bodied and really grab you. The world-building is top-notch; you can see things unfolding as they go along and you can see the characters with perfect clarity. I am not normally a space fan but I found myself loving this book from the first page.
I really look forward to seeing what will happen and I can not wait for book 2!! A great read for those that love PNR RH, especially space-related.

I loved this book. The characters were unique and endearing. Rayina is about to marry a man she doesnt love. Deciding to visit him one day she finds out what he really is. Her life is completely changed when she meets "the beasts". This is a wonderful new world and I cant wait to see what the next book is about.

This is a fantastic first book. Ray and Ryker's story is how it all begginings. Ray's finance does human experiments and tourture on Ryker and his friends. He turned them in to beasts but in reality he is the true Monster. Amazing beggining and now I want to see his brothers stories.

Well as SF is teh brain child of 3 amazing established authors you knew it was going to be good - Enter Raynia who is an accomplished scientist and a Royal who to he dismay finds outthat she has been betrayed and her work basticised into something evil.
Ryker is a strong man and a leader of his team - all of which have been experimented on and mutilated all in teh name of science.
Beauty and the Beast meets sci-fi
Brilliant and entetaining storey which is fast paced, full of action and a reasonable amount of heat.
Really enjoyable easy read.

I love me a good beast story💖🔥💖🔥
I do so love a good beauty and the beast tale are in aliens and space and I'm all there! Starks fleet is a new author for me. It was and impulse download and I'm very happy I took the chance. This story takes place I believe many hundreds of years in the future of the human race when we have left earth and transformed other places. Ray is a royal with a sharp scientific mind who has done years worth of research to help humanity. She's been told her whole life that's she's useless and worth nothing let her than to be married off. Her intended has actually stolen all her research and has done horrible things with it . Ryker was Once a human soldier he and his men volunteered for a new program never thinking they were signing up to be tortured and turned into beasts. When a chance to save himself and his men arises he takes it and that when he meets Ray. The attraction is intense and immediate, when Ray realizes what's been done with her theories she devastated and wants to help make things right. The race is on to free these brave men cure them and give into the love growing between Ryker and Ray. Raynia is a royal who is getting married to a man of her fathers choosing for the status it will bring to the family. Her fiance doesnt really float her boat in a sexual way but she thinks that it could work between them, more a meeting of minds. A call to her fiance worries her so she sets off in a pod to his ship to investigate. Ryker was the commander of his men but isnt quite human anymore after being kept captive and subjected to some horrifying experiments. Escaping from his binds Raynia and Ryker are about meet as she boards the science ship.
Starla Fleet is a new author combining the talents of 3 amazing authors into one. I haven't really read anything like this before as the guys arent technically aliens but have been genetically modified into beast like creatures, but I love the originality. I loved the characters, for a book that isnt overly long we get to know the characters pretty well and I am hoping that the rest of the series follows the remaining crew members as I would love to see them all get a HEA!

An intriguing sci-fi space odyssey with steam.
Starla Fleet’s vivid writing makes you feel as if you are shooting through space on this futuristic spacecraft. As the first book in the Her Alien Beast series we meet Ryker and his men who have broken free of their prison and taken over the ship. The FMC Raynia rushes to try and save her fiancé Garreth only to be stranded on the ship with Ryker and crew. I enjoyed how though Raynia is surrounded by super soldier beasts that make her cautious, her courage and intellect prove she won’t be so easily intimidated. I’m new to the sci-fi romance genre but fell in love with this book but am delighted to continue the journey into the Her Alien Beast series.

I didn't know what to expect from this book, but it was a fantastic read. The author gave us sci-fi that was both intriguing and believable, as well as a romance that makes you swoon. I loved Ryker and felt for him when he was used as an experiment. I was rooting for his happiness and loved him getting together with Raynia.

This book I was not expecting! Ryker was once human and fought for the Royals in their military. They won the battle but Ryker and his men ended up on a prison ship where him and his men were mutated and tortured by Garreth who is a scientist ( Sociopath and scientist should never mix ever). Raynia is a royal and scientist, engaged to Garreth and in a few days time will be married. But after calling him and visiting him she realizes what exactly has been happening with her research. This is a quick instant love book but it was good and I cant wait to read more about the other men in Ryker’s group as well as where their adventure goes!

If you love Sci fi and you love romance, then you are going to love this book - I know I sure did! The technology and spaceships are believable and I thought those bits were really cool - especially the nano tech bits. Raynia is a royal, engaged to a man that doesn't do it for her, but the marriage is a good connection for her family. Ryker is a soldier that has been changed from a human man into what he believes is a monster. And then they meet, I mean there's more to it than that, much more but what I loved was the connection between these two - the heat, the almost Insta love. I can't wait to see what is next for this awesome new author!

Raynia, a Royal, has been emotionally abused by her father for her entire life. Believing she isn't worth anything but the value her marriage brings to the family name, it's wonderful to see her grow into a confident woman once out from under her father's control.
Ryker, a warrior who led his troops into a terrible situation where they have been tortured and mutated as a result of Raynia's own theories (without her knowledge), believes himself unworthy of love until he meets Raynia.
I loved all the side characters as well and look forward to reading more from these authors!

“Being complexly honest I started in blind this book. I knew I read the blurb and like it but by the time I’d the book my mind forgot about it. I’d like to applause my decision because this story was captivating to a no point of return. Who wouldn’t love a story about two pieces that are perfect for each other? Plus if the found each other in the least expected way, how romantic is that? The whole mix of royalty and sci-fi was a unique style. Different from the usual yet addictive. Raynia was a fantastic FMC! Strong, smart and with determination. Ryker, sweet Lord, how someone can be so perfect? I’m not lying, he was truly one of a kind. If you like smut don’t worry about it.”

Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect after the opening. I went in blind without reading the blurb and was entranced with how the story opened, wondering what would happen next. I love how the FMC is introduced and how smart she is. The story is sci-fi but I also think historical romance readers might like it because it has just a bit of that feel with the way the royals interact. This book is the definition of a romance, giving you the swishy aww feelings with some hot steam. The action and technology were icing and I can’t wait to see their battle resume!

Raynia is a smart, strong woman who has been used and neglected all her life. She doesn't understand her worth until she meets Ryker. Ryker is a man who was turned into a beast but only on the outside. Inside, Ryker is still the tough, loyal leader he has always been.
This is an insta-love story with a spicy scene. Ryker only wants to protect Raynia and vice versa. I highly recommend it!!

This was such an enjoyable read! I knew it was going to be good, but it surprised me in a few ways!
The characters are quick to like (or dislike, when you think about a certain someone), and all have very interesting dynamics that just fit which each relationship!
The plot and romance were great as I expected and I loved the emotional connection it was just awesome!
I am sooo incredibly excited for the rest of this series as I am a huge lover of this genre, but have been in a bit of a slump lately.

Pure romance and sci-fi aren’t my favorite genres, but when I found out a couple of my favorite authors were writing a series, and I had to give it a try. This was a fast-paced, well-written short book with a lovely romance. Raynia and Ryker are an adorable couple who find love when they least expect it. I read through this book pretty quickly, and I thought it would hit the spot for those who want a great romance but don’t have a lot of time. Nicely done. Recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

Wow! You need to read this! This story has everything! The plot of the story is strong. It's a series starter so there is exposition and a little repetition, but all of that doesn't even matter! Raynia is getting ready to marry the antagonist, but she doesn't know what he really is. So, there's tension. Then the beasts escape, and lots of action happens. Raynia and Ryker are an amazing couple, it just takes a while for them to figure it out. I'm looking forward to reading book two as soon as it comes out!

Love love LOVE Her Captive Beast! Rayna and Ryker were on fire! This page turning first book in the Her Alien Beast series is completely addicting and author Starla Fleet has created a fantastic world to draw readers into the stars! I enjoyed the action, the adventure, the dialogue, the characters and especially the heated moments between our two main characters. Out of this world fun and I cannot wait to see what is next for this series!

An amazing new world with some wonderful new characters to meet! Raynia, Ryker and crew take us on an emotional rollercoaster through space. Raynia Orion is a royal scientist who is meant to marry one Garreth Andromeda but instead she ends up stranded on the Inventio with Ryker and crew and everything is not as it seems. This first story in this new world pulls you in and a keeps you wanting more. I can't wait to find out what comes next!

Excellent action packed space adventure romance. Great beginning to a series. Characters are intriguing and world building is excellent. Fast paced and enjoyable read. Steamy and romantic with unique male characters. Each one seems likely to get their own book so we’ll be seeing more of these guys in the future. Definitely recommend.

This was a really really good story. First book I have read from Starla Fleet and definitely won’t be the last. Story really got my attention right in the beginning. Storyline was captivating. Plus I really enjoyed the characters. Not to mention the book cover was amazing. Really cannot wait to read more from this author. Definitely recommend.

OMG I loved this book, it was a fast paced sci-fi that had suspense and action. Raynia is a Royal and her fiance is a dick. She doesn't love him but is being forced to marry him...or what happens when she meets Ryker? An experiment that Garreth her horrible fiance has been working on. He's big, he's mean and he's a monster but is he? Find out in book 1.

Raynia was just trying to get by, keep her head down and stay hidden. Supply issues and a sleezy boss caught up with her though, and now she's up as the Grand Prize in an ultimate alien fight club. She's quickly learning that the devil she knows may just be her only chance, if Ryker can be convinced.

This is the first book I have read by Starla Fleet. I am officially addicted... loved this over the top fast paced steamy love story. I couldn't stop read. I read it in one setting. A great start to the series. Can't wait for the next book!!!!

A wonderful book by new author Starla Fleet. The characters were engaging.. the world in which the story is based intriguing. This introduction to the upcoming series was delightful.. I want to know more about this world & characters.. and am eagerly anticipating another book.
