I really wasn't sure how Jessica Lemmon was going to be able to write a Hero that could live up to Reese's hotness, but she did it! Tag was very different from his brother, but those differences made him just as hot as Reese was and had me loving him just as hard. Reese is still my favorite, but damn did Tag make me swoon.
Taggart Crane is the partier of the family, the brother that doesn't take much seriously and lives his life free and uncaring. Being put in charge of the families hotel bars is just his thing, but he could still use help when it comes to the business side of things. So it's fate when the dog-sitter for his downstairs neighbor just happens to have a background in both marketing and bartending. Now if only her beauty wasn't such a distraction.
This book brought one of the best dialogues I've read this year. It was intriguing and humorous without trying too hard. There were many moments where I found myself laughing without even knowing the specific reason why because the humor was done in a subtle way. I liked that it wasn't an in-your-face kind of funny and it was a kind of hilarity that was in the background enough to make you laugh but not focus solely on the jokes.
It was fun to read about these two and both of their hang-ups over relationships. Rachel and Tag had their own issues with commitment so it was interesting to see two commitmentphobes try their hand at a relationship that was more than just a hook-up - no matter how many times they tried to convince themselves it was nothing more than that.
While I loved Tag in all his hottie glory, I liked Rachel's independence the best. Her ability to make Tag lose his mind because she refused to take his offers of help kept the book interesting and I enjoyed seeing them battle it out. I love heroines that are independent, and Rachel was definitely that, so I was very happy with her. And of course Tag too cause, you know, hotness and all that.
Overall, I'm loving this series and I never want it to end! Next up is Eli's book and I will definitely need to prepare myself for that because I have a feeling it will make me very emotional.

Delightfully sweet, sexy and entertaining as all get out.
On a regular day it’s easier to confuse Taggart Crane with the dog walker than to accuse him of being a billionaire executive. As the person in charge of the Guest and Restaurant services Tag’s job does involve lots of traveling and parties, but when he’s trying to concentrate on a way to reduce losses while his neighbor’s dog won’t stop barking Tag decides to take matters into his own hands never expecting to find an even bigger distraction, a gorgeous blond who doesn’t want his money or care about his almost royalty like status.
Living in the big city was Rachel Foster’s dream, but after a bad break up forces her to leave her marketing position and take on a bartending job it seems like she might have to go back home. Until a dog sitting job opens up an opportunity of a lifetime, to help out in the bar redesign at Crane Hotels alongside of the ridiculously handsome and consummate bachelor Tag Crane who makes her feel sexy and sure of herself, a complete contrast to the way her ex made her feel always insecure. But is it enough for her to risk her heart to when the player starts to pursue her?
There’s no way the image of a fun loving, sexy Tarzan-Thor-esque billionaire won’t get you fired up, but there was a lot more to like about this sweet and sexy lighthearted read. I really liked Rachel and Tag’s meet cute, it set the mood for the entire book. Tag runs down to see what’s wrong with his neighbor’s dog, and because of his lumbersexual vibe Rachel mistakes him for the dog walker. It takes a bit for them to know their real identities, but one thing is for sure, the attraction is unmistakable.
Neither is looking for anything more and a fun while it lasts sort of friendship and as they get to know each other we find out about Rachel’s borderline abusive ex-boyfriend who made her doubt herself and feel less than and we get to see Tag being sweet, thoughtful, considerate and patient with her. Even though Rachel does have some insecurities, she’s smart and set on keeping her independence.
The playful push and pull pacing between them felt right. As feelings develop they realize that being together is better than being apart but that means having to face their fears, and I liked that even though the book does have a happy ending it’s perfect for them without it feeling over the top. And for those of you wondering about the steam, Lemmon rights sexy like nobody’s business.
The friendship between Rachel and he bestie was really great and it was a kick to see Tag mixing it up with his best friend or his brother Reese (from book #1 in the series), both of which made Tag the butt of their couples jokes. I also liked getting to know the elusive Eli who’s book is up next.
Billionaire Bachelor is the second book in the Billionaire Bad Boys series by Jessica Lemmon. It is a standalone, full-length, contemporary romance with lots of sexiness, witty banter and sweet loving moments. Told from both points of view, with a happy ending.

I devoured this book in two or three sittings and I love it! Out of all the Crane brothers, Tag Crane is by far my favorite. He runs one of the most prestigious hotels in Chicago, Crane Hotels and added to his reputation around women, he's indeed a playboy billionaire. Concentrating to formulate a business strategy, he was distracted one night by a constant barking and decided to visit him to address such problem. Unexpectedly, he stumbles to a beautiful lady who temporarily takes care of his neighbor's pet, Rachel Foster. As much as possible, she doesn't want to date due to her previous relationship which turned out badly. Not only her ex made her feel not enough, but also taking full credits of her hardwork (Such a jerk move). Since then, she was scared of falling in love and she seeks out an approval of her partner's satisfaction. It lowered her self-confidence at some point.
I really love the chemistry between Tag and Rachel. It's sweet, sexy and hot. Tag may have a playboy reputation but he's such a sweet and sincere man. I love how he made Rachel feel confident with herself and appreciate for who she is. He worships and likely will do everything for her. Also, I adore Rachel. She's brilliant, hardworking and independent. Their story is simply romantic and fun to read and even made me giddy. If you're looking for billionaire romance novels, I definitely recommend this one.

Entertaining. Hot. Sweet. Sincere. It checked all my boxes of things I love. And Tag? Swoon worthy! I loved it!
From beginning to end I was all in. I loved Tag and Rachel's story. They were such wonderful characters. They had great chemistry and I loved that connection they shared and when sparks flew. It was so fun and sexy but also real and oh so sweet. Tag has the biggest heart ever and he’s so genuine. I really liked Rachel, she is sassy and spunky outwardly but also timed and nervous when it comes to certain things.
This was such a pleasure to read. I was smiling big time and totally enamored with Tag. Both he and Rachel had some issues they’re working on and it created these wonderful moments that made my stomach do flips. They were wonderful and real and I loved watching Rachel's growing confidence and really get back to herself. When Tag would have one of those moments, it made my heart melt!
I loved the secondary characters involved, everyone held their own and really added to the fullness of the story. I adored the sibling bonding between the brothers, I am a sucker for men sharing their emotions in that manly, quiet way they have. Some groundwork was put into place for the next book and I'm so excited for it. Some of that information was heartbreaking and sobering and I can't wait to see what the author does with it. I love that feeling of being excited and wanting more! I can't wait!
I thought this story had the best build. I think I wrote that 10 times in my notes. I was so hooked on everything, absorbing every detail. It was such a solid story with detailed and descriptive writing. I thought there was great development. I love an excellent build though because it leaves me wanting more, hanging on every word, making it impossible to put my Kindle down and that is exactly what happened.
Not only was this an entertaining read with great characters with a fantastic story, it also had the right mix of light drama, passion, and emotion and I love how it all mixed together. I enjoyed every single second!

The Billionaire Next Door was a slow start for me for two reasons
No 1
Tag's description was mentioned too much his long hair down to his elbows (no thanks) and his giant build, massive hands, circus-sized shoulders etc, don't get me wrong I liked him he has the biggest heart I just did not fancy him.
No 2
Rachel annoyed me for half of the story as she kept thinking about her ex boyfriend far too much Shaun did this Shaun did that GET OVER him he was a abusive douche bag.
After I got past these I started to enjoy the story more even liking Rachel and when they got together it got even better, they were cute and sexy together but their relationship wasn't easy as they were both scared of commitment they took their sweet time admitting their true feelings for each other.
It was nice catching up with Reese and finally meeting Eli even though it was under such tragic circumstances which made me cry and I can't wait to read his story next.

Once again Jessica Lemmon proves she’s a force in the contemporary romance world. The second book in the Billionaire Bad Boys series features the youngest of the Crane boys, Tag. The free spirited, no strings attached playboy meets his match in Rachel Foster, the serious, self-deprecating cute blonde bartender.
Tag Crane intrigued me from his cameos in book one of the series. His fun loving personality, his jokes, and his seemingly uncaring attitude mixed with the descriptions of his looks – well look no further because this is a billionaire I wanted to get to know. As it turns out, Tag is deeper than he comes off but his effortless charm and appeal never fades. Rachel Foster is a girl burnt badly once and she has no plans to stick her hands in the proverbial oven again anytime soon. Trying to put herself back together and regain a semblance of confidence she meets the uber confident Tag. Their story takes off in a fun and flirty manner from there. There were a few times that I wasn’t feeling their connection. Their passion at times was timid then almost forced it seemed like. Something about Rachel threw me off and even Tag at times I couldn’t justify. However, I think their individual issues just got in the way a bit more than expected and the manner in which their relationship evolved was still enjoyable to read.
With their respective best friends providing funny commentary and intelligent insight randomly throughout these two embark on an interesting relationship. Appearances from both older brother Reese and Merina happen as well. And we finally meet Eli Crane, the mysterious military man of a Crane brother – who I cannot wait read next in the The Bastard Billionaire. While The Billionaire Next Door can surely be read as a standalone I wouldn’t personally recommend you skipping book one of the series where Tag Crane is first introduced as a secondary character. If you love contemporary romance with hot alphas and the women that bring them to their knees you don’t want to miss Jessica Lemmon’s effortless writing and captivating story telling in the Billionaire Bad Boys series.

The Billionaire Next Door was a such fun and entertaining read, I really enjoyed it.
From the first chapter in I knew this book was going to be a winner for me, Rachel and Tag were characters that I instantly connected with.
I found them funny, passionate, smart, entertaining and their chemistry was off the charts!
Watching them connect, and come together had me turning the pages late into the night, then when I finished I wanted more! I seriously loved these two :)
I'm really enjoying watching these sexy Crane brothers find their soul mate, I'm especially looking forward to Eli's book next in The Bastard Billionaire which comes out in Feb 2017.
From what we saw both in Tag's book and the chapter tease at the end of The Billionaire Next Door it's going to be one awesome read!
Jessica Lemmon is a talented author that writes with passion and gives her readers storylines and characters that will entertain you and bring out all the feels.

I am absolutely in love with these Crane men! I thought it couldn’t get better than #ReesesRocket, but Tag may have just one upped him!
Tag is the ultimate player. But he is good at it, never hurting a girl’s feelings and always being their friend. But one look at Rachel, and he is suddenly thinking all kinds of distracting thoughts.
Rachel’s life hasn’t gone the way she expected and she is closed off because of it. But maybe some fun with Tag is just what she needs.

Tag wasn't Rachel's type - at all. He was a large, longhaired, overly muscled playboy, a sexy and charming player with the reputation to prove it. She was still reeling from a bad break-up with her hypercritical ex-boyfriend who had humiliated her, stripped her of her confidence, and left her feeling inadequate in most every way. She called him Tarzan or Thor. He called her Dimples. She presented a challenge as she had repeatedly shut him down and didn't fall at his feet the way every other woman always had, and he found himself actually chasing after a woman, a totally new and unsettling experience. Neither wanted or felt equipped to have a relationship, yet they were each unusually focused and overly attracted - and once together - they easily made a staggeringly dynamic and delectable couple. Tag helped her find her inner vixen and built back her confidence. I adored their sweet and sexy story. The characters were delightfully complicated, sweet, tenacious, and supportive. Ms. Lemmon's plot was well crafted golden from start to finish. Her writing was enjoyable, engaging, highly amusing, clever, and loaded with sizzling sensuality and snappy banter. It was Nirvana for this old cougar.

Here's the deal ... Jessica Lemmon is one of my absolute favorite authors that I've discovered this year. The three books that I've read by her have all been beyond fabulous and I know that when I pick up one of her books, I'm going to probably read it in one sitting, I'm going to fall in love with the handsome hero and I'm not going to want the book to end. This one was no exception.
I enjoyed the first book in this series (The Billionaire Bachelor) so very much that I didn't think anything would top it but this one did! I think that I loved it more because of Tag. Who would have thought that any dude could be better than Reese?!? I sure didn't. I absolutely adored that dude. But with Tag ... I worshiped the ground that this fictional character walked upon. I've been wracking my brain to figure out what was so different about Tag and I just don't know. The characters are both very well written and fully fleshed out, they are both stubborn and sweet and protective and just utterly perfect. Maybe it was just Tag's vibe. That has to be it.
Oh, Rachel. This lady ... I loved her spunk from the very beginning. I think that she's one of my favorite leading ladies that I've read about this year. And again, I can't put my finger on why ... maybe it's because she's so independent and wants to do things on her own to prove not to someone else but to herself that she can do it. I think all of us could use a little internal Rachel.
And here's the deal ... before you start rolling your eyes about this being a billionaire romance, you should give it a shot! This little sub-genre has gotten a bad wrap because of some authors that didn't do a very good job at conveying their story. Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater! If you give this one a shot and don't like it, I would be shocked because you just can't help but fall in love with Tag and Rachel and their story.
Anyway ... great book, even better series and a stellar author. I'd follow this lady off a cliff if she was dangling her books behind her.

Holy sex on a stick! Jessica Lemmon had me with her inspiration for her hero in The Billionaire Next Door even though it makes me feel like such a dirty old woman. High on fun, flirting, and sexy times and low on drama I loved every minute of this book.
Taking care of one of her regular bar customer’s Great Dane and living in his luxury high rise for a pretty nice paycheck is just what Rachel Foster needs so she can get completely back on her feet after her ex-boyfriend screwed her over royally. Meeting the upstairs neighbor Tag Crane becomes one hell of a bonus when she offers up her expertise to redesign one of his bars to be more efficient and he takes her to Hawaii so she can get a better feel for the place she’s helping him redesign.
There was much I loved about this book including the way these two met, the animosity between them even when sparks were flying all around, and the way neither one could stop thinking about the other one after that first encounter. With Tag being considered a player (but one with a conscience) and Rachel not trusting men and having a bit of a self esteem crisis they are an unlikely pair. The fact that Rachel doesn’t know who he is at first and even after she finds out she fights him every time he tries to buy her anything including dinner makes him realize she’s not only independent, but not after him for his money or what he can do for her. I liked that Rachel challenged Tag and that she often confused him and that was unusual for someone like Tag. It kept him in check, it made him have to work for her, and it made him realize that sometimes the best things are not always what is easiest.
Their relationship built at a good pace allowing Rachel to see all sides of Tag and to realize there was more to him than what he shows the world, they built trust, and there was no doubt that physically they were well matched.
I enjoyed Rachel’s spunky attitude, her need for independence and her business sense, but most of all I appreciated that she realized Tag was special. Tag impressed me with his patience, his understanding, and his ability to see that Rachel’s brain was just as sexy as her outside package. I’ll just add that in my eyes Tag is one of those perfect romance book heroes.
It was so easy to get wrapped up in this story, this couple’s journey, their self doubts and their growing feelings; which made it so easy to absolutely love The Billionaire Next Door (although if I’m being technical it should have been The Billionaire on Top of Me…LOL)!

The Billionaire Next Door

Unfortunately, this is a disappointing follow-up to the delightful first book, The Billionaire Bachelor.
Although there is tremendous potential in the premise and Lemmon's writing is very engaging and steamy, Rachel and Tag fail to resonate either as individuals or as a couple.
To begin with, Tag's physical appearance and the focus on his long hair and beard did not appeal to me. I do not find huge hairy heroes sexy, but that is just my personal preference. The more significant issue is his commitment phobia and love 'em and leave 'em attitude, which comes back to bite him. His actions toward the end do not reflect well on his character and his grovel at the end is not satisfying.
Rachel is just as bad if not worse. Her constant woe-is-me whining about her ex, her job, and her life is not at all endearing, and Tag has a point when he argues that she was just using him to gain back her confidence.
On the other hand, the secondary characters are delightful. Tag's best friend Lucas and his unique wife Gena are fantasitc, and I would much rather have read their story. There are also updates on Tag's older siblings, Reese and his soon-to-be wife Merina, and Eli whose traumatic experience makes me want to read his book sooner rather than later.
Overall, not one of Lemmon's better works, but her writing is very enjoyable. I am sure the next book will be better.

Fantastic!
The first book was extravagant, for me I believe I relisted to it 50 times or more I was sooooooo excited to know the next book was coming so soon. First thing is first let me just say I bow down to you Jessica Lemmon!!!! You are an amazing amazing author I cannot wait for your next book.
This was much needed after my last read! I was waiting for this book for month’s mixture of humor, romance, hotness and love!! The Billionaire Next Door. I enjoyed every word of this book and I devoured every single page. I loved the writing and I really loved Tag so no complains on those departments. Definitely, this will not be my last book by Jessica Lemmon! The plot was refreshing and the characters extremely lovable and relatable. Do not miss this book. I highly recommend it.

hmm, totally different vibe than book 1. This was more of a typical contemporary romance. Very sweet but less edgy.

Who doesn’t love bad boy billionaires? I loved reading about these Crane brothers and when it came time to read Tag’s story, I was on pins and needles to see what was “ his story”. Well, let me say, what a STORY! Taggart Crane is the party animal of the family- the one who goes out all the time, the one who doesn’t let life get him down or worry all the time. He lives life free and uncaring. He ends up being put in charge of the families hotel bars which is right up his alley but when it comes to the business side , he could still use a little help. So it's fate when the dog-sitter Rachel Foster for his downstairs neighbor just happens to have a background in both marketing and bartending. Only thing is, he finds her very attractive and that is something he doesn’t need, he can’t fight the attraction and business woes at the same time. Well, Rachael is single and quit her job due to her ex. She seriously isn’t looking for another boyfriend or even another relationship. Yet when she meets Tag, there is something electric that passes between them and she cannot help but wonder more about him and the undercurrents that pass. She knows nothing about who he is or even about how rich he is. Only thing she knows is he needs some help and she offers to help Tag design the new bars since she works in one and has a degree in marketing. The more time she spends with him, the more she comes to realize he isn’t at all who she thought he was when she first met him.
Their chemistry is fantastic, the plot line is good and oh wow, the banter between these MC is off the charts yummy good. Tag will have you swooning with not only hot how and sexy is but how caring he really is. Rachel will make you believe that love can happen again after a break up if you find that right person, billionaire or not. The buildup between Tag and Rachel was slow and while at times I may have mumbled to myself get together already in the end I think the relationship between them needed that slowness at first.
I am looking forward to the next book, I think it is going to be an emotional one based of the circumstances going into it. Jessica Lemmon is an author that I enjoy reading especially when I want something a tad bit lighter than my normal reads and I think you all will want a billionaire living next door to you especially if he is like Tag, I know I would. The Billionaire Next Door is a book that I think a lot will enjoy.

I was a bit scared when I started this book. I loved Reese so much in the first book of the series, I was afraid I’d be disappointed. My fear was unfounded. In fact, I loved Tag just as much.
Instead of the arrogant playboy from the previous book, the hero here is a confident but laid back… playboy. Don’t change a winning formula. Tag is a serial charmer who smother his victims with attention, and leaves them with a smile on their face. No pain, big gain. Until, of course, he meets Rachel, who challenges his views on relationships.
Rachel has just been burned. Her ex-boyfriend treated her like shit, and left her like shit too. She’s unsure of herself, and not ready to have a try at love so soon. But having Tag’s full focus on her might be the solution. And a new problem.
I loved how Rachel and Tag pushed each other boundaries, forced each other outside of their comfort zone. Tag’s learning to let a woman in–in his life and in his heart–while Rachel’s finding herself again, her inner self that her ex tried to destroy. Of course, neither is an easy task, and they meet with plenty of obstacles along the way. In that way, the romance was top notch. Affection, care, support, help, romantic moments, steamy moments… Despite some inner conflicts in both of them, their story was the sweetest.
The other characters in the story weren’t just background silhouettes just here for the decor. Between Tag’s family who comes to give him shit, or to add a little dramatic moment to the story–the hospital scene was amazing–and Rachel’s friends who push her in Tag’s direction, they’re all here to move the story forward. And sometimes set it back.

I loved how Rachel and Tag pushed each other boundaries, forced each other outside of their comfort zone. Tag’s learning to let a woman in–in his life and in his heart–while Rachel’s finding herself again, her inner self that her ex tried to destroy. Of course, neither is an easy task, and they meet with plenty of obstacles along the way. In that way, the romance was top notch. Affection, care, support, help, romantic moments, steamy moments… Despite some inner conflicts in both of them, their story was the sweetest.
The other characters in the story weren’t just background silhouettes just here for the decor. Between Tag’s family who comes to give him shit, or to add a little dramatic moment to the story–the hospital scene was amazing–and Rachel’s friends who push her in Tag’s direction, they’re all here to move the story forward. And sometimes set it back.
Can’t wait to start the next book!

I looovved Merina and Reese in The Billionaire Bachelor.It was one of those surprise reads that I found all of a sudden and fell in love with.It introduced me to Jessica Lemmon's wonderful writing and will forever be a fave.So, going into The Billionaire Next Door, I knew I would have a blast, but I didn't know whether I would love it as much as The Billionaire Bachelor.
And I am glad to say Jessica surprised me again!The Billionaire Next Door is a beautiful book and even better with Tag Crane-the hero!
Tag is the fun-loving,playboy brother who looks like a surfer and dresses like he belongs on the beach rather than a boardroom.He is hilarious,quick-witted and extremely sharp at the same time. As the head of Guest and Restaurant services at Crane Hotels,he takes his job seriously and works extremely hard,especially when the board members don't believe in him due to his beach bum outer persona.
Rachel Foster is working as a bartender now,after her ex-boyfriend stole her promotion and took credit for her work.Her roommate Bree is also engaged, leaving Rachel feeling like the third wheel.When she gets the opportunity to dogsit for one of her regulars-Oliver, she takes it.She'll be living in Oliver's apartment in Crane Tower for a month,taking care of his dog Adonis,while doing shifts at the bar at the same time.
When Adonis' constant barking threatens to drive Tag crazy as he tries to concentrate on his new redesign project, he goes down to Oliver's apartment to see what the issue is, only to find a blonde who doesn't fall at his feet like other woman do!He is intrigued by her and when he keeps running into her, he decides to spend more time with her.
Rachel has a hard time trusting men these days.When the sexy,hunk Tag Crane comes in, it doesn't mean she has to have a relationship with him right?A no strings attached fling might do!But that's what they think ;)
Tag and Crane were a brilliant couple in this novel.I loved how Tag helped Rachel regain her self-confidence and harness her sexuality while she remained independent.Rachel at the same time helped Tag feel and settle down in one place.These two have a relationship that's completely different from Reese and Merina's, with a lot less angst and drama.
The chemistry between them was super hot and certain scenes are panty-melting.Just sayin' ;)
I loved the way the author portrayed the characters and their slow development.Rachel's intelligence,creativity and ingenuity was wonderful.That's the thing I like about Jessica's heroines.They are never one-dimensional cardboard cutouts, and each are strong and intelligent in their own way.The supporting cast was also equally delightful.Loved seeing Merina and Reese again!

And we finally got to meet Eli!!So excited for his story in The Bastard Billionaire!!Can't wait for it! :D

The Billionaire Next Door shows how emotional damage stemming from family tragedy and a young age can have continuing subconscious repercussions as we get older.
A little slow to start, The Billionaire Next Door focuses on in-depth character analysis while detailing the incidents that have led Tag and Rachel to where they are today.
Tag is the ultimate good time guy, his carefully crafted image, and forthright attitude have ensured plenty of female companionship but without the messy emotional entanglements. Tag is very insistent that he isn't built for relationships, yet his actions contradict his words where Rachel is concerned. Unfortunately, Tag's party boy image also has a negative effect where his job is concerned, the board members are unable or unwilling to take his ideas seriously creating additional annoyance in Tag's life.
Rachel, on the other hand, has lost herself and her confidence due to a back-stabbing ex. Taking credit for her work and receiving the coveted promotion as a result, leaving Rachel without a job and a place to life. Taking a bar-tending job to make ends meet and a roommate. However, the most devastating aspect of her break-up is her loss of confidence, especially where her appeal to the opposite sex is concerned. The Billionaire Next Door touches on the long lasting effects and emotional damage caused by verbal/emotional abuse, constant criticism results in the negativity taking away the positive. It can also take a lot longer to recover from than any physical damage.
Rachel is understandably terrified of giving into her desire for Tag as a result of the damage to her confidence. While there is an undeniable connection and attraction between the two of them, Rachel is reluctant to embark on a fling with Tag. She is fully aware of his playboy status and self-aware enough to know she won't be able to stop her feelings from becoming involved.
Rachel is determined to be independent, much to Tag's surprise, he isn't used to anyone not being impressed by his money or his status. Rachel truly likes Tag for who he is not what he can provide her.
Watching Rachel regain her confidence and independence was empowering in a way. While Tag was finally able to confront his own fears with the help of his brothers. Don't you just love it when characters are able to understand themselves enough to confront their demons and move onto a happily ever after.
I especially liked the way in which the story has laid the foundation for The B Billionaire , I cannot wait for Eli's story, he seems like a multi-layered character just waiting to have his layers peeled away ;)

Rachel works as a waitress in order to get some money and one of her regulars wants her to babysit his dog. That particular regular happens to be a resident in the same building as the one Tag lives in (and owns it). As you can see they were bound to meet. They bond over plans for one of the hotels Tag is responsible for and the dog Rachel babysits. None of them wants a relationship when they decide to make their relationship status, something hotter than platonic, but as you know things change and one of them isn't willing to admit that.
If this was another novel, I might have found this situation a way to add more drama to the book even when it wasn't needed, but I feel like Tag had a solid reason for not wanting to do the whole 2.5 kids thing. Reese tries to make him see reason, but in the end, it's Tag the one who has to work out his problems. That was a good character development.
This book came after a period where I was trying to find the right book for me. Don't get me wrong, I liked enough books, but when I read TBBD I found it more enjoyable and I was more eager to read it than the others. Both, the hero and the heroine, are good characters and I enjoyed reading about them. I like a good heroine who can stand up for herself. And she is good at what he does.
I liked the writing style and the pacing was good. What I loved the most though is the cover because even if it's not very obvious, the model has long hair, like Tag. I really like it when whoever is responsible for the cover tries to find a model or setting that represents what's inside of the book. The next book is coming on February 2017 which is not too far away. I can't wait to read Eli's story after seeing what he went through in this book.
