Galentine's Getaway

Romancing the Sheriff

Rate this book
Who meets the world’s hottest sheriff while wiping their rear with poison ivy? Me, that’s who.

Zoey

I’m Zoey. A romance writer, geeky girl, and hot mess extraordinaire. I’ve never met a situation I couldn’t make more awkward or a man I couldn’t embarrass myself in front of.

Case in point, I was relieving myself in the bushes after a really long trek up the mountain. Only to accuse the hot sheriff who stops to help of spying on me.

But Brock isn’t like everyone else. He looks at me and sees something he likes. Still, this thing between us is too good to be true, right? After all, I write fairytales. I don’t live them.

Brock

Zoey isn’t the typical tourist I meet. She’s young, adorkable, and so damn sweet. Definitely too sweet for the dirty things I have in mind when I see that cute derrière.

She’s just passing through which means this can only be a vacation getaway romance. Except that doesn’t sit right with me.

Before she leaves, I plan to show this beautiful novelist that I want to star in the love story of her life. Will she let me be her prince charming this Valentine’s Day?

What happens at the yearly writer's retreat stays at the retreat...except the bonds these authors forge and the stories they tell. But someone forgot to mention that to the men they find themselves falling for in stunning Lake Tahoe.

From the small-town sheriff to the hot, bossy cowboy to the grumpy, reclusive mountain man, these romance authors have stumbled upon real life trope-tastic heroes that sweep them off their feet. Sometimes literally.

Get ready to laugh, cry, and swoon this Valentine's Day when these six authors bring you on a Galentine's Getaway you won't forget. Galentine’s Getaway is a collection of steamy short romances brought to by six of your favorite instalove authors!

quick(ish) review

Love that it’s a “curvy” romance, not as big a fan that it’s so weight focused. I actually appreciate there’s an actual plot to this novella, but when the angst is 99% because of the size of their butt, it makes it more triggering than enjoyable. But that’s me and it may work for others, YMMV and all that.

I am loving this series featuring a plethora authors and Romancing the Sheriff is such a great start !
This is the tale of Zoey and Brock. While Zoey is on her way her Galentine's Day author retreat with her faithful furry dog pal. Nature soon calls and she makes a pit stop on the side of a snowy mountain road. Brock is our local sheriff, so he is used to the tourists getting lost in these woods. When he comes across a car and two set of footprints, he is hot on the trail. He is more than surprised when he sees a curvy young woman in a more than compromising situation but the moment, she looks at him he is a goner! Zoey is oh so embarrassed and is going out of her way to avoid the handsome sheriff but when he shows up on her doorstep all bets are off. Brock can be more than convincing when he sees something or someone he wants, and Zoey is the one. He will now make it his mission to woo her, court her and showing her that they are destined to be together. This couple is funny, have great banter, are sweet and sizzling!

I wonder if some people who write have friends and if those friends read because some people should be given the resources to publish on anything other than Wattpad.

“Freeze.”
I stop, my ass in the air and my heart pounding. Serial killers aren’t supposed to announce themselves, are they? Is that against the rules in a horror movie? I can’t remember.”

Romancing the Sheriff is another installment in the Galentines Getaway series and let me say that so far is my favorite!
It’s my first time reading a Mia Brody book and I absolutely loved her sense of humor!

“It sucks when no one wants you just because you’re a little bit different.”

Zoey is one of the romance authors doing a retreat on Big Bear Lodge in Lake Tahoe.
Her and her trusty friend Wofers, the tiny one eye chihuahua.

While on her way to the Lodge, because the snow is making the streets undrivable for a South Carolina girl, she and Wofers need to go.
So she stops mid way and moons the local sheriff.

“I can die a happy man now because I’ve seen the eighth wonder of the world, and it is spectacular.”

Brock the local sheriff, sees a car stopped in the middle of the road and decides to investigate.
The amount of times that tourists have been lost in the woods… might as well be careful.

Little did he know that he was about to meet the love of his life!

“Do you always butcher every seventies cover or was this a special occasion?”

I absolutely loved this book.
Despite being a short story, the characters have layers, the story is beautiful and layered and the Hero and the heroine have such beautiful hearts.

I loved Brock as a hero! How he was so sure of what he wanted from the very beginning and how he never stopped pursuing Zoey even when things seemed like they wouldn’t work.

“Little sweet cheeks thinks that she can just skip out on me. Hell to the no. I am claiming Zoey, the same way she claimed my heart.”

This is the first of a 6-book series featuring a group of six romance authors on a Galentine's Getaway/ writing retreat. While this is a working vacation each woman gets lucky in love.

Zoey and her one eyed chihuahua are freaking adorkable. In my mind, Zoey is a plus size Mrs. Frizzle. She is smart, funny, and marches to her own drumbeat. She is 1 of 4 virgins on the retreat. Just putting that bit of knowledge out there.

Lake Tahoe Sheriff Brock instantly falls for Zoey after catching her with her ass out... literally. He knows that she's destined to be his wife and mother of his 12 kids. But his fake ass, petty ex Amanda is a hater and tries to capsize their love boat.

This is a quick, cute, insta-love story that takes place over the course of 3-4 days. I loved the chemistry between Zoey and Brock. He is a sensitive alpha who has no second thoughts when it comes to pursuing our girl.

My ONLY complaint is in the epilogue the other 5 women and their beaus were listed with hints of how they met. I didn't like this. I like going into a story with minimal info and expectation. Since this is book 1 of 6 and the titles are pretty obvious as to the type of man each woman ends up with, I would have preferred if the epilogue ONLY focused on Zoey and Brock. JMO it took nothing away from my enjoyment or desire to continue the series.

This was a cute short story. I loved the humor in this one. I laughed out loud on how Brock first met Zoey. I also laughed all throughout the girls drinking night and the things they were talking about. 100% my type of night with the girls. This was an adorable book.

I honestly don't think novellas are ever amazing. I only ever read them(usually bc there's an author in the mix that I have read before, and if it's all connected I'll give it a go) as samples for new authors.

I'm leaning towards meh/no.

There wasn't much to it, but I didn't super enjoy the weak female lead. Or the cliché crap portrayal of whatshisname's ex- that didn't even really make sense when you thought about it. Or whatshisname's declaration of love. I dunno.

It's an all around eh.

Fabulous, I absolutely love this one. It was a nice, quick, short read.

Brock meets Zoey when she goes away on vacation for a Galentine's Getaway, he catches her with her pants down in the woods. Brock is the sheriff and he sees a car pulled over on the side of the road, he goes to check it out, he's had tourist get lost in the woods. He finds Zoey with her pants down about to touch poison ivy to wipe herself. Brock tells her to freeze and then explains to her what she's about to touch. He follows her to her car and asks her for her license, when he goes to his car to run it his sister, Piper tells him she a romance writer. Zoey gets to her cabin and settles in with her dog Woofer, then gets to writing. She spills an opens water bottle over her laptop, she takes it to a computer shop in town. Then she sees a bakery across the street, Brock walks in behind her and asks her to go on a date with him. She tells him her week is pretty full and he tells her it's just one date. He tells her he'll pick her up later tonight. Piper, Brock's sister gives him a book of Zoey's to read. Zoey goes to find one of her romance writer friends, Emmy in her cabin to tell her what happened. Emmy asks her what is she going to do, Zoey tells her she wants to call off the date. Emmy reminds her she doesn't have his number. Emmy encourages her to go out with him, so she goes and gets ready for her date with the sheriff. When she opens the door he's has her book in his hand and is asking her who the female character chose, she tells him he has to read it to find out. She notices he dog-eared the pages and she tells him he has three sticks agains him for that. He tells her that books are meant to be experienced and loved. He takes her on the gondola to experience Lake Tahoe, Zoey thinks it's a magical winter wonderland. He bends down and kisses her and tells her she taste better than he imagined. The next day he text her that he wants to take her out on Valentine's Day. Zoey gets ready to meet the girls for their Galentine's Dinner, they all get a little to drunk as they talk about how some of them write romance book and haven't lost their V-Card. When she gets back to her cabin Brock is sitting on her porch waiting for her. Brock can tell she is tipsy by the way she walks, he wishes she would have called him so he could look out for her. He scoops her up in his arms and takes her inside while she confesses she's a virgin. He tells her to change as he take her dog outside, while he waits he gets a text from his ex-girlfriend, he doesn't want to look at it. He puts her to bed and tells her to sleep tight. She tells him how alone she feels, then she asks him to stay tonight. He kicks off his shoes, and cuddles close to her. When Zoey wakes she feels something hard pressed against her, but doesn't remember what happened. She realizes its Brock's chest she is laying up against and she's drooling on him. He tells her morning and then he gets her some pain medicine and water. She remembers drinking with her girls last night, she asks him if they did it last night. He tells her they slept in the same bed but nothing more. He tells her he's taking her skating for their date night and to dress warm. She asks him even after her being a hot mess express. He leans in close and tells her he like this hot mess express. His phone rings and he tells her he has to go that's the station calling him in. She gets to writing her book, then gets ready for their date, Brock comes knocking at her door, she's made the decision she wants to go all in with him. He's still dressed in his uniform and tells her there's a change of plans, there's a storm coming in so he wants to take her back to his home, he's going to make her dinner. She tells him that sounds like fun, he tells her to pack an overnight bag and to grab Woofers. Brock make a point to make her feel comfortable in his home, they make dinner together, and enjoy talking to one another. He gets another text from his ex, and explains to Zoey who she is. He asks her who looks out for her and she tells him just Woofers, she tells him about her parents, nana and her twin sister, Zola. He tells her she deserves a man who will be faithful and has eyes only for her. She whispers she wants to find that man, he takes her into his arms and tells her she already has. Brock carries her up to his bedroom, he sits her on the edge and kneels in front of her, taking off her shoes. He lays her back on the bed, he presses kisses to her neck. She tells him she like the feeling of being here with him. He unbuttons her shirt, and flick the clasp on her bra. Then he licks and sucks on her nipples. When he looks down her legs are around his waist, he asks her if she wants to come. She nods her head yes, he quickly removes her jeans, he positions himself between her thighs and licks the cream from her body. He crawls up her body, and she reaches for his belt, he stands and removes his clothes. He tells her to touch herself, as he strokes himself. Soon she's spread over the bed, with him over her, he lines himself up and tells her she's his once this happens there no going back. She agrees with him and tells him to move. He slides into her, then pulls out, then thrust into all the way. He stills himself as she whimpers, he asks her if she okay. She tells him better, then starts to move her hips. They find a slow rhythm, they exploded together, then he rolls off of her. He asks her if she needs anything, then gets her a warm cloth. The next morning she wakes happy but sore, Brocks in the shower, so she heads downstairs. She shovels a path for Woofers, then starts a pot of coffee. She hears someone coming in the front door and sees a slim woman, the woman tells her she didn't realize she was still here. She tells Zoey not to feel uncomfortable, she never minded sharing him. Zoey asks her who she is and she says Amanda his girlfriend. Zoey tells her he told her they were broken up. Amanda asks her if she looked in the closet or use the master bathroom. Zoey tells her she has to go, Amanda offers to make her breakfast. Zoey realizes Brock would never choose her, she has curves and is clumsy. When Brock gets out of the shower he smells coffee, but he comes downstairs to find Zoey gone. He heads to her cabin but before he gets there he gets a phone call about a missing person. He's writing up the reports when he gets a voice message from Zoey, she tells him she's returning his call she's had fun these last three days, he was just a distraction she needed, it was a great vacation fling they should do it again sometime. When she gets back to her cabin she finishes her book and then heads to town to get a cookie from the bakery. Petty the owner asked her if she wouldn't mind signing some books. They had into the back where Zoey sees a stack of books. Patty returns to the front of the store to get her cookie. She hears someone come in and hears Amanda bragging about how she kicked her out of Brocks house. Patty argues with Amanda that she's not even dating him. Before Zoey goes marching out there she hears Brock asking Amanda if that's what happened this morning and why she won't return his calls. Amanda tells him he can do better than that whore, he tells her not to talk about her like that she's his future wife, they're over, done. Zoey stepped out from the back of the kitchen and he turns to see her, Patty says she'll give them a minute. Zoey says to him you said I'm your future wife, he says he's not raising their kids out of wedlock. She tells him she left his bed, she got spooked. He told her it's understandable but next time let's talk about it. He tells her he wants to be her hero in her love story she tells him she wants that too. They stay in bed together for the next two days Zoe calls her real estate agent about putting her Nana's house on the market. She sees a note on his fridge about cleaning she ask him what it is, he tells her it's the stuff he hast to do before he moves to Charleston to be with her. She tells him she doesn't want him to move with her she wants to move here. She tells him she likes where he lives she doesn't have family in her area she can write from anywhere plus he's got his career here. She tells him his mother and sister are here also, they are a built-in babysitter he scooped her up in his arms and carries her back upstairs. Later he picks her up at the resort to meet his mom and sister, when they arrive he kisses her and tells her he loves her and he wants forever with her. She asked him if he's asking her to marry him, he tells her no he's telling her that he wants to be married and soon. He asked her how does Vegas sound, she tells him it sounds great but he has to break it to his mom. They move into their new home and she carries one of the boxes, he tells her that too heavy for her, he takes it from her. He carries her upstairs he's the hero in her love story and she can't wait to discover all the sweet romantic chapters they're going to write together.

I don't know what I was expecting to read but this chick going to the bathroom outside during winter wasn't it. And the fact that she even gets a bit nervous with the hairs on the back of her neck standing up but she decides instead of running back to the safety of her car with her puppets, it's better to stay where she is and sing a song. I'm sorry, what? You literally were comparing the situation to a horror movie and your solution was to keep peeing while singing a song. I swear these dumb women in books are going to make every last one of the hairs on my head white. Let's not even talk about that she was just gonna use whatever vegetation to wipe her ass with after instead of a napkin or Kleenex or something... anything other than an unknown plant, but I'm supposed to believe she's been camping before? She nearly wiped her ass with poison ivy.

Daring 4 girls to lose their v cards over the weekend was also fucken stupid. Maybe they were waiting for the right guy instead of just Mr. Right Now. In my opinion, Mina is a huge bitch for saying that. She's both making fun of the other girls for still being virgins while also making it seem like it's nothing important, like they are talking about jumping in the snow to make a snow angel or something. It's just no big deal to her, and I know to some it isn't that big of a deal, but she doesn't know how her "friends" feel. And worse when her v card friends say no, she pressures them, insists it's a good idea. Bitch, they said No. Fuck you very much for pressuring them. Saying they'll never have to see the guys they fuck again so where's the harm? Seriously, what a shit friend and if she and Paige have their own books I will definitely not be reading either of them.

As much as I like Brock, I don't like that the author almost seemed to make him.. I don't know, too PC or something? With his reading romance novels and him talking about strong, independent women, etc. I mean I guess there isn't anything really wrong with it but it felt more like it was written on purpose to please the readers rather than it being something natural, you know? And while we are talking about Brock, that shit with his ex and him not putting his foot down is down right stupid. Guys don't normally keep letting their exes contact them constantly unless they have kids or eventually want to get back together or at the very least have the occasional bootie call. And you know, YOU KNOW the only reason his ex is in the book is to create some sort of other woman drama which will probably be something akin to a misunderstanding... and in a book this short it's not really worth the trouble. (No, I haven't finished it yet but I know it's coming)

Ah and now we get to the part about (of course) using protection and how he wants it bare. He says he's always been protected and never done it before. Uh huh, you know STDs are not just from a fuck in a vigana, right? I guess that's too complicated for authors to be bothered with. It's all about the claiming in these scenes and if the FMC isn't a virgin in pure white basic bra and undies and he's not going bare it's not romance apparently 🙄😒

Their scene itself is disappointing and short. Once she gets off, so does he and then he's already pulled out of her and onto the bed. Doesn't hold himself inside to enjoy the aftershocks, doesn't even pull her with him and hold her close. Just wham, bam, thank you ma'am. But I guess for everyone else the fact that he asks if she's ok and then cleans her up is better than cuddling and basking in the glow. To each their own but it almost made it feel like he couldn't get out of her fast enough.

And I called it about the other woman drama, just didn't think it would happen so soon. So let me ask you all this, in what world does a man who is no longer interested in his ex let her still have keys to his place? Yeah, nope, Brock can suck it. And this just dropped my rating of the book but I'll still be generous and give it a 2 because I haven't read any books from this author before and I did like some of it.

What I really hated about this book was the epilogue. You seriously had to ruin everyone else's books? I didn't want to know who her girlfriends ended up with, I wanted to read it for myself but nope, thanks for that. Guess I should be happy that I don't have to read about Mina and Paige (not that I would have but I still would have read about the others).

I write fairytales. I don’t live them.

Meet a hot guy and make a fool of myself in front of him immediately. This is why I don’t date. Fictional guys just think you’re cute when you’re quirky. Real life guys think you’re a weirdo.

It’s just that I’d like it if we could exist in a world where both of our bodies would be celebrated without comparison.
It’s my dream to see dobby positivity be more than just a trendy hashtag on social media. I want it to be a real thing that’s practiced by everyone. I think the world would be a kinder a place if we could all accept that we look different.

Men make up almost a third of erotic book buyers and one out of every five romance authors is a man. It always makes me sad that men can’t openly celebrate their love for the genre without someone spewing some toxic masculinity.

A rush of contentment fills me. It’s a peace I don’t even know that I’ve been looking for. But with her in my arms, I know I’ve found it. I’ve found the serenity I need. Now, I just have to find a way to convince her we’re meant to be together.

Little sweet cheeks thinks that she can just skin out on me. Hell to the no. I am claiming Zoey, the same way she claimed my heart.
“I want to be the hero in the love story of your life.”

Zoey
Zoey is a romance writer, geeky girl, and a hot mess extraordinaire. She has never met a situation that she couldn’t make more awkward or a man she couldn’t embarrass herself in front of.
For an example: Using the bushes in the mountain as a bathroom, only to accuse the hot sheriff who stood to help of spying on her.
But Brock isn’t like everyone else. He looks at her and sees something he likes. Still, this thing between them is too good to be true, right? After all, Zoey writes fairytales. She doesn’t live them.
Brock
Zoey isn’t the typical tourist that Brock met. She’s young, adorkable, and So damn sweet. To sweet for him. She’s just passing through which means this can only be a vacation getaway romance. Except that doesn't sit right with him. Before she leaves, he plans to show Zoey that he wants to star in the love story of her life. Will she let him be her prince charming this Valentine’s Day? And maybe forever?

This was a short story in the Galentine’s Getaway series. The story was sweet. I love that Brock and Zoey had layers in them. They both have baggage but they overcome those issues. I didn’t like how in the epilogue, it included the other five women and their beaus were listed with hints of how they met. I didn’t want to know how the other women met their other half because I wanted to go into their own stories not knowing. 3.75 stars.

Embrace your body everybody!!!

Brock and Zoey, I can relate to them both, I lost my parents as well, it's devastating to be alone, some of us people don't take life seriously, we take life for granted, that we are going stay young and live forever, that was my thinking, boy was I wrong, Brock still has his mother and sister, Zoey has her sister, but what her sister did to her was unforgivable, I think her sister was jealous of her, I don't why we do terrible things to the ones we are suppose to love, and family is so important. So Brock and Zoey found love, just because she is not thin, I don't understand why your body is so important, that you want to be like other people. Everybody is born the way they are born, I feel it's a mental issue, if somebody keep telling you are fat, ugly, you believe them and start to change yourself for what? You mean to tell me their stuff doesn't stink? Who are they? It's a form of bullying, embrace your body no matter what it looks like, because Zoey is a Beautiful you woman, Brock fell in love with her, because he saw something within her, besides her looks. I really enjoyed this story, Now Zoey, and Brock can live happily ever after.

Actively disliked this book for on-page fatphobia, and tons and tons and tons of internalized fatphobia. Also, Mia Brody proudly claims to write about "alpha men that fall in love with big, beautiful women" but then puts straight-sized women on every single cover of her books.

Not here for a story that pays lip service to body positivity, but then the author writes an entire book about how SHOCKING it is that this man would be into the MC. Writing things like "guys like him don't normally go for women like me" and gives our plus sized hero a fatphobic ex that cheats on her with the skinny, model sister.

Finally, ew virgin heroine story line (and multiple plus-sized virgin friend storylines) as though fat women have trouble being sexual until their alpha hero inexplicably shows interest.

BBW, insta-love

Zoey, a romance author, is at a yearly writer's retreat in Lake Tahoe. Brock is the local sheriff. He literally catches her with her pants down on the side of the road. Later on that day, he sees her in town and asks her out. Things progress from there.

As a bigger woman, I hate reading about curvy girls being so insecure that they don't have faith a man would want them. It gets old, fast. Especially when it's repeated.
There were a couple of places in the book that didn't make sense (she took her shoes off when she got to his house, but then he took them off when he took her to bed). Overall, I really did like the story. It just need a couple of things fixed.

This book is part of the Galentine’s Getaway Series. Zoey is geeky romance writer and a hot mess. She can make any situation awkward. Brock is the local sheriff. He meets Zoey when he sees a car on the side of the road and wants to make sure that whoever it is fine. Then he sees the most beautiful woman with her pants down about to wipe herself with poison ivy. There is something about Zoey that calls to Brock. She is too sweet for what he wants to do to her but she is just passing through. It could be a vacation fling for both of them. But after spending a bit of time together Brock realizes he wants way more than that with Zoey. Will Brock be able to convince Zoey that they should be more. This book is a great funny fast read. I am loving all the books in this series. Great job Mia.

I started this series by reading the last first (Nothing new there - For some reason, I can never start a series at the beginning, hah!) - This was my first read by Mia Brody and I can say it won't be my last.

Brock wasn't an OTT alpha but he knew what he wanted and didn't hesitate to go after it. My only complaint about him was that his ex still had a key to his house and he didn't try to get it back from her. He said that every time she was in between boyfriends she would constantly call him and text (which she did) all he did was ignore them. If it was reversed and the h's ex had a key to her house and was constantly texting and calling her he would lose his mind.

All in all, it was still a good read.

3 stars!

Love this series

I can honestly say that because at first I couldn't get your book so I hopped over to Khole's book. Both books have been great. Love how Brock and Zoey meet. You just have to laugh. Brock comes from a loving family but his city homicide life blurred that knowledge. Zoey not so much. Her mother favored her "beautiful" twin sister who couldn't hold a candle to Zoey. You won't like her or Brock's ex-girlfriend. Loved the descriptions of the girls, cabins, the lodge and the weather. Read how Brock wins her heart and that of her little dog. I really did enjoy this book and hop you will as well. Written by Cindy :)

Great start to a new series!

When a meet cute features poison ivy about to be in all the wrong places, you know you’re going to read a fun story. This is the first book I’ve read by Mia and it won’t be the last.

Brock and Zoey are perfect together. He falls instantly in love and spends his precious time with Zoey, convincing her in all the best ways they were meant to be together and have a dozen children.

This was a sweet and sexy story and I look forward to the rest of the series.

A Sheriff That Reads Romance

Sign me up!!!
I love this meet cute. It was freaking hilarious, seventies music sang off key while relieving one's self. Then almost using poison ivy to take care of yourself is just dangerous. I do hate that Zoey never dealt with her past pain with her horrible sister. So, that pain was always in the forefront of everything. She needed some deep therapy because of her sister's selfishness.
But my man Brock had all the time and was determined to see and love her.
I enjoyed this one !

Their meet cute was her mooning him

This was a fun instalove book. Sweet, light, romantic. You've got a curvy romance writer with her V card intact and a sheriff who reads romance books and doesn't hide it. Plus you've got other woman drama with an ex girlfriend who can't take a hint that it's over. 4.5 stars for this book. They were too nice to the ex.

Steamy standalone in an interconnected series about a group of romance writer friends on a retreat. Each author gets her own HEA. No cheating. No cliffhanger.

Zoey and Brock

Zoey is on her way to meet her friends in Tahoe when she has to make a pit stop for her dog. While answering the call of nature the Sheriff walks up on her. Brock is taken by the beauty in the woods and is not going to let her go.

The is a fun fast read that has a bit of family drama, clingy ex and strong man who knows what he wants. The passion is hot, the love is strong and romance is electric.

WOW!! So Good!!

Well written story and well developed characters! Zoey is on her way to the writers retreat. That is where she will meet up with her author pals. She has over ten miles to travel yet and her dog is whining that he has to go potty! Well so does she! She pulls off the side of the road to go in the bushes. After she pulls her pants down, a gruff voice shouts "Freeze!"

Zoey and Brock’s first meeting

Zoey and Brock’s first meeting is a unique one. He's a sheriff who finds her in a precarious position. Once he sets eyes on her, he knows she's his one.

Zoey is mesmerized by Brock and his scrumptiousness. She can't believe he wants her!

There are doubts in her head, then add a crazy ex of his that doesn’t get that he's done with her. I enjoyed how issues were resolved.

Absolutely loving the Galentine Getaway series. Mia has really brought us a funny, sweet Valentine read. Brock gets quite the eyeful when he meets Zoey, and their story truly proves that a good man can renew your faith in yourself. I love how Brock did that for Zoey. Love this series and can't wait for the next book.

Zoey a famous romance writer wanted what her books had and that is to fall in love and have her HEA. She meets Brock while on a friends writer retreat and fall head over heels for him. Zoey twin is a piece of work. Good read looking forward to reading the other books in this series. Also looking forward to reading Zoey’s friend Valentine’s book.

Galentine’s Getaway

I loved Zoey’s spunk from the very first page. The meet cute between her and Brock was anything but in her opinion but Brock had other plans. He set his eyes on Zoey and knew she was meant to be his. There is a good level of 🔥 and a snobby ex who tries to get in the way. Cute read, I’m ready for the next one.
