Kendall Keating’s plans are turned upside down when her father orders her to spend two months in the Royal Territory to help him earn a spot on the Royal Council. Although she has no interest in werewolf politics, she reluctantly agrees.
However, she gets more than she expected when she meets her mate, King Finnian Cahill.
King Finnian acts the adoring mate one moment, and the strict, aloof king the next. She knows he is hiding something from her, and she is determined to find out what it is—no matter the cost.
The question is, will she survive the destruction that is to come? Will Kendall and Finnian change their disastrous fate?
Edited* OK I found the second and third books on wattpad app. Now I'm even more frustrated. Book 3 has not been updated since December 2021. WTF
Hate the ending. How can you leave on that note with no mention of when book 2 will be out or available. The book was great, I couldn't put it down til I was done. To my surprise when I tried to find the next in the trilogy, there is none out there. Not a great way to keep readers . I gave it 3 stars because I expect when I start reading a trilogy there will actually be more than one book.
I stopped reading at about 40%. The writing was good. The story was interesting. The female main character wasn't likable. The side characters were more interesting. If fact I wanted to know their stories and not the lead. The female lead was immature and a brat. I think the author was going for snarky and sassy but failed in my opinion.
Loved this series. Was officially my first werewolf / alpha kind of book. The main character took a minute to like but I was addicted soon enough. I found this one as it was advertised in the annoying insa ads. But glad I was able to find her on wattpad for book 1& 2 and the start of 3. You do have to find the book on Amz to read the final like 10 chapters. Her 2nd book is also edited and in publishing now. So that too should be ready soon!. Book 3 I have litterally been emotionally dying inside waiting for the updates! Definitely a favorite for sure. If you like a whole lot of sass, caring, tough love and misunderstandings. Give it a try. I am a slow reader and was able to read this in like a weekend. (Litterally to every minute I could)
Fated mates and condoms just don’t work for me. There’s also plot holes and bbs…I skimmed the excessive narrative. I enjoyed the banter but the traitors were obvious. 2 stars
i actually really enjoyed this and i kinda hate that i did cause the series isnt finished and hasnt been updated in years?! but ugh ok still gonna read book 2 now cause i am way too invested
I can’t give this book a full five stars due to several issues. At times, the reading experience feels choppy, and I noticed multiple grammar errors that detract from the overall clarity. Some sections are overly detailed, while others leave important context lacking. It feels like the writing hasn’t been professionally reviewed.
The portrayal of the heroine is also confusing. The author attempts to present her as strong, yet her childish behavior and bratty treatment of others undermine this characterization. This issue extends to the other characters as well; they exhibit immature behaviors that the author suggests are evolving, but they really aren’t. I found the same problems in the sequel.
These books have the potential to be much better with the help of a skilled editor.
Additionally, for readers who prefer complete series, be aware that this is not one. The second book ends on a cliffhanger, and there’s no mention of a follow-up. According to Amazon, there’s been a two-year gap between publications.
Lastly, I’ve noticed that these books have been copied on various foreign book apps, and I’ve seen mentions of them on Wattpad, which raises questions about their origin.
Decent read. I felt like the story line was pretty predictable. I guessed what was happening and who were the traitors pretty early on, BUT I was pleasantly surprised by a couple good twists at the end! For a new author it's decent. I've read some interesting stories but the actual writting is horrific. This one was done well. A few minor grammar or spelling errors and incongruencies but not too too many or any horrendous ones. Biggest incongruency being (SPOILER ALERT) how did Kendall &/or Nathan get into the safe room if only those of royal blood can enter, seeing as the blood bond to make Kendall of royal blood didn't actually happen. Maybe it was on purpose but this felt like an oversight to me. I could be wrong. Likely will read sequels. I hate leaving a story unfinished
H-King Finnian Cahill h-Kendall Taylor Keating So the King of all werewolves who is also in the council just found out his Mate (Kandall) but his main witch showed him a vision of Kandall dying/killed. So after like 20+ chapters of her pretty much begging for him to be with her and him rejecting her time and time again (so much that I was just tired of reading the same thing again and again) he finally gave him and now is pretty much all over her. But he is still looking for the killer before its too late. WoW this story takes you into soooo many turns.. it is truly a puzzle that was completely glued to it til the end. **SPOILERS** So we finally find out who the rebels were and at the end he gives her a potion that will mimic her death. Which means the links she has with her Mate, family and friends would all be cut off and she will go into amnesia and her wolf will go into a deep sleep. One thing I don't like about this book was that it was her point of view only.. then then having Tyler(her sister's mate- pov) I would have loved to read Finnian's POV.
I wish I could take the time it took to read this back. I could have used it on a book with a better thought out ending.
This book needs help. Honestly, calling it a book is a stretch. Throw this sucker back on watt pad and keep it moving.
And you’re telling me the head which couldn’t see the events in the last two chapters from a light year away? Really? Also, the sister’s relationship would have been a serious no contact by their age. They’re not bantering, they’re verbally abusing the heck out of each other.
I guess that’s the perk of the author telling you everything and not just showing you.
Hope Kendall gets her crap figured out, but I sure as heck won’t be returning to find out.
This book was below average overall with the plot. The dynamic between everyone being super snarky towards each other all the time made them all seem emotionally stunted. The FMC forgiving the MMC so easily after repeatedly being rejected was not believable. The plot twist was nonsensical, and killing off of multiple characters for the shock factor just made the ending very stilted. There's no lead up to the next book. There's no perspective other than Kendall's getting absolutely owned by the bad guys. There's just a shit ending with no proper cliffhanger. I do not recommend this book, I myself will not be reading the next book in the series if it ever gets released, nor will I bother reading anything this author writes
PROS - the female characters were great. The three sisters had such a fun and close relationship. They were strong willed, feisty, smart and very loyal. They were very easy to love and pull for. - always enjoy rejected mate stories - there was plenty of alpha jealousy which I love.
CONS - one of the main reasons I started this book was the description that appeared on Facebook promoting the book. It stated that the king had to have sex with his wife in front of a lot of alphas. I found this intriguing. However, this never happens. - it was longer than it needed to be. - the King was boring and I didn’t think he and Kendall had very good chemistry.
This is book one of the trilogy. I read the reviews so I already knew both book one and two end in cliffhangers and that didn’t bother me since I knew upfront. The story was well written and the cliffhanger was done well. I didn’t like the slow burn for the main couple especially when his Gamma found his mate and was loved up in the next scene. Once I figured out that the author was going to wait until basically the end, I was disappointed. I still rated four stars because the storyline was interesting and the secondary characters had major parts. Read On!
I feel like it was a waste of time. First of all I'm pissed with the end. I got there and I was like what on earth? did it finish? is that it? that's the end? Turns out that this is part of series (that nowhere in the description mentions it). It is book 1 in trilogy. The rest of the books are on wattpad where all started and the 3rd book is still ongoing from 2021. Thank you author for telling me this beforehand. As for the story? Well if the fmc was supposed to be strong and witty she was anything but. And the mmc was hot and cold for 20 whole chapters. It really drugged a lot.
I was griped from beginning to end! The characters are well thought out and I enjoyed the backstories, it made me feel like I really knew them. I’m a sucker for a love story that has a rocky start, I’m also a firm believer in happy endings so if that sounds like you then this is the book for you. There will be a cliffhanger in the end I must warn you but overall I was pleasantly surprised with all the twists and turns of fate I encountered. It’s a long book but it was so worth it! Every page matters and you get a great storyline. Will share with my friends
As someone who really likes books with a strong female, main character or characters at all, this series absolutely lives up to that the women in this book are not pushovers. The women in this book are fighters, warriors & witches she-wolves doing it BIG! The relationship aspect does give me major anxiety. There are points where you want to punch both main characters in the face for the things that they say in due to each other but overall a really great read, I’ve read both books in this series. I cannot wait for book 3 to finally be published!
Loved this book. Great characters, but a little sad in the end as events unfolded. But I wish there was a conclusion! How does our MFC get out of this and what happens to the kingdom! Great writer but need answers! This is to BEG our writer to continue, NOT to criticize! Get cracking girl! We need more!!
Great story, great character development and great conflicts throughout! I REALLY REALLY liked this book! Well done!!!
This book was good, pace is not bad, I actually really liked it. I would've given it more stars if not for the fact that I found out the third book is in limbo and the second book ends on a cliffhanger of sorts. The third book has basically been on hold without any updates since 2021 or 2022....At this point I don't see the point of reading the second book and getting sucked in without knowing if the third book will ever be finished as it ends on a cliffhanger...
Left with a cliffhanger. Doesn't say anything about 2 more books. I gave it 3 stars only because it claims to be a trilogy , but never says when or how long. Very disappointing . Not good for your readers. Should at least say something about when. It was a good story, interesting but leaves you with a million questions. Dislike books that leave the readers hanging.
Villain reveals are usually easy to decipher as the chapters go on, but THIS??!?! I can honestly say I did NOT see it being these two.... And I need to know why they're such backstabbing a-holes and how Finnian is going to get Kendall back!
Binged it and the second book, which you can find online (not idea format) in two days!! Great read in the Christmas downtime. I looked up the authors Instagram as i could only find 6 chapters of book 3 for any updates and her post from this month said she's hoping to finish book three soon! Look forward to it! Invested in their relationship now, hope the character growth continues.
The main character was insufferable, the exact sort of person that I can’t stand to be around in real life. The story was okay but I felt no desire to continue the series, which apparently is a good thing since it’s currently unfinished. Two stars because I at least finished the book, DNFs get one star.
I love when a WattPad story gets enough traction to be published. While the story retained that WattPad narrative style, telling me the smallest, unnecessary details and lacking emotional depth, I still enjoyed the read. When life is stressful, I enjoy easy fiction. Nothing too hard on the brain. So I can appreciate this story. Nothing too complicated. A little redundant. Perfect.
It was really a great book, but what kind of ending is that? No sequel,no closure for the characters, and the bad guys just win? Please write a sequel and ill change my review
I was hooked from start to to finish. But please please tell me the next part of the trilogy is available somewhere?? It’s like the biggest cliff hanger EVER. Absolutely brilliant! Give me moreeee!!!!
Oh man i could not put this book down!!!! It definitely is a must read but holy cliffhangers!!!!!! I mean come on!!!!!!!!!!!! Ugh can’t wait to read the next!!!! Oh there better be a NEXT!!!!!!
I liked the book, the storyline and characters. What I dislike are the asterisks on the swear words like it's not obvious this was probably on the Dreame app...fix that on the next two books and I'll give a better review. This is adulting for writers...(no *)
Story line is great. It keeps you guessing the whole way. You spend your time wondering who, what, when, were & why... By the nd of the book you are left wondering what next.can't wait for book 2
Absolutely loved the book! I could not put it down! The characters were well developed and I loved their personalities! I need to know if there will be a second ending though?! The ending made me cry so much!
I really like the book. The ending was a strange cliffhanger but finding the second book really helped. I read both books in one day. Now getting to the 3rd book.....hasn't been updated since 2021. Would really like to know how it ends. Really disappointed 😞
