Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, is a fun, innovative, and massive place with four main theme parks and an endless number of activities for the family. It’s incredibly easy to get overwhelmed with vacation planning, and for Floridians like me even planning a day trip is a daunting task.
Thankfully, Birnbaum’s 2023 Walt Disney World Official Vacation Guide has done the heavy lifting for us. This book has broken down activities, special events, theme parks, hotels, restaurants, costs, times, etc. Birnbaum’s provides sample itineraries and budgets that look FANTASTIC for someone wanting to maximize their magical day at the Parks.
Birnbaum’s is a must whenever I plan my vacation. I’ve read previous editions of this book, and I can honestly say that it helped create a magical theme park experience that continues to reside in my family’s hearts.
Walt Disney World in Orlando is so evolutionary, it’s ever evolving. I feel like I’m getting the inside scoop directly from a Disney cast member!

We are big fans of Birnbaum's Guides and have bought several over the years. Packed with helpful information, this guide is the gold standard for Disney vacation planning handbooks. It has everything you could imagine from accommodations and transportation to how to get the most out of each park. It also describes sports and recreation around the parks and where to find the best meals! The full-color pages are incredibly well organized and have maps of the properties to boot. It even includes coupons at end of the book, so it's absolutely worth every cent!
So if Disney World is in your future, don't hesitate to pick up one of these super helpful guides! And feel free to DM me with any questions - we're unabashedly seasoned Disney travelers!

Birnbaum essentially write the approved WDW guide book, so don’t expect to find anything negative about the Mouse. Personally, I read the Unofficial Guides books for the warts and all take, and Birnbaum for the rose tinted glasses version.
What Birnbaum does, it does very well. You get an exhaustive take on everything WDW, from the parks, to resorts, to restaurants, even cruises. The book is travel brochure size, and is chock full of photos and bonus tips as well as the standard lowdown you’d expect.
It’s written in a chatty style, and the only negative for me is that it can be a bit repetitive at times with constant direction towards Disney apps and website.
For an unabashed positive take on WDW, you can’t go wrong.

I am planning my 1st trip to Walt Disney World and I have purchased the appropriate year’s book each time. I love it. I like to have a book to look through instead of a screen. I think the information is always useful and a lot has changed at Disney. I supplement with YouTube videos, social media pages and online searches, but this is a great place to start. It lets us know which parks, rides, attractions, and restaurants interest them so they can help me plan the trip since we are bringing them with us. This book never disappoints!

Loved this comprehensive guide to DisneyWorld - from the varying kinds of hotels to the restaurants and the different parks this guide is a keeper and one I have referred to again and again as I have had the pleasure of visiting the park three times in the past year. The best one volume book on the park and all it has to offer. Enjoy!

Incredibly helpful with trying to plan a Disney trip. Got the most out of the possible itineraries, descriptions of things to do in each park, parking/transportation info and the “hot tips” for each park.
