Born in 1965, Robin Alexander grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where she still resides. An avid reader of Lesbian fiction, Robin decided to take the leap and try her hand at writing. It didn't take long for her favorite hobby to become a full-time author. Since her heritage is Scottish and Irish and she’s allergic to seafood, she’s considered an honorary Cajun. When she’s not writing, she’s exploring her state with the top off her Jeep in search of the small towns on the water that inspire her. Robin is awkward, sometimes shy, loaded with anxieties, accident prone, dangerous with power tools, and has been known to make idiotic decisions. She has been fortunate enough to turn her shortcomings into the hilarious characters you’ll find in her novels and short stories. Her passion is writing funny tales about falling in love, being imperfect and reveling in friendship. Robin is convinced she has the best job in the world, and she’s extremely grateful for her fans who support her and enable her to do what she loves.

I found this difficult to get into in the beginning but I think it was less the book and more my mood. By a third of the way in I found it difficult to put down.
Adrienne and Hayden are a few months into their relationship and working together at the inn is working out for both of them. There is a minor blip on the horizon in the form of a visit to New Orleans for them both to spend Christmas with Hayden's homophobic parents. Well, that is, until odd things start happening around the inn like noises and doors opening. And all just before a new group of guests is about to arrive.
Hayden's antics and mishaps are entertaining. Adrienne's gift makes this very gently paranormal and gives a really interesting dimension to their relationship. Christmas and Hayden's family relationships provided some poignant moments and some wonderfully happy ones. I had figured out the mysterious happenings fairly early but didn't think that it detracted from the unraveling of the story because my enjoyment came from the telling as much as from anticipation.
The only thing I was disappointed about was that Hayden and Adrienne should still have been in their honeymoon phase of their relationship and there wasn't much intimacy. Not necessarily sex but things like touching, flirting, kissing and a desire for each other seemed to be missing.
Yeah, this is a brilliant follow-up and I thoroughly enjoyed the intrigue and fun found aplenty in its pages. I will definitely be purchasing the next in the series to continue my Robin Alexander 'Gloria' marathon.
Wow, what a difference in writing style between book 1 (2004) and book 2 (2008). Book 1 was clumsy and unedited but book 2 was professionally edited and made it much more enjoyable to read. I did notice, however, that Adrienne's eye color changed from "clear blue" in book 1 to green in book 2.
Ok so had me in tears. Spoiler alert Hayden tries to quit smoking and oh dear Lord the stuff that happens when she's trying had me in tears. Now I'm off to read the next one.
I so loved the series this is the second book I read I laugh so hard I was crying I love to character the story line I haven't read something like this in a very long time I recommend this book hell I recommend the series
Fantastic and awesome story and read. This was a hilarious and sad at times. We meet Hayden and Andrienne, Iris, and Collie once again. They begin to have weird noises and muffled voices around the inn. This story by Robin Alexander was a blast with laughter as I read it. Also being the second one in this series it tackles, Hayden issues with her family , destruction, and much more. Robin Alexander did a superb job at writing this story and cannot wait to read the next one. RECOMMEND---- Yes Definitely
Just as solid as the first book in this series. Hayden and Adrienne grow together as a couple and really settle in. The trip home for Christmas brings everyone closer together in a great turn of events. This one has a bit more suspense in it then the first and is a little darker. But the fun witty banter between everyone is still there and will have you laughing
It was well written, amazing cast of characters. It had me laughing out loud and crying the next moment. I aware Robin gets better every time she puts her crazy mind to paper... I can't wait to see how this series ends.
If you are going to read this then I know you enjoyed the first book as much as I did. It has romance, sadness, suspense and sexy time You’ll enjoy every page turning bit. I’m on to the next!
Robin Alexander hits another one out of the park with the incredible story. I couldn't put it down! Loved it. Sure it could "stand alone" but reading book 1 first gives book 2 much more depth. I highly recommend this series.
Easy reading. Fynny. Entertaining. Light hearted and flowing. Very enjoyable and highly recomended. I enjoyed the humour and energy and was sad that it had to end.
Great...all I can say is Great. Would like another book in the series. Want to meet the baby that Addrieanne and Hayden have. Will she have Addrieanne's gift?
