About the author

Adaline Winters

25 books702 followers
Adaline Winters writes heroines who bite back and the alpha males who fall to their knees because of it. Known for weaving sizzling tension with deadly twists, she delights in leading readers through stories full of betrayal, desire, and the kind of cliffhangers that leave you cursing her name—and still begging for more. If there’s one promise she makes, it’s this: her heroines will never go quietly, and her heroes will never come out unscathed.

She lives in England’s Lake District, where the scenery is dramatic, the weather is stubbornly grey, and the dog in her house is somehow even more chaotic than her characters. Her husband and daughter are used to conversations being interrupted by sudden mutterings about plot twists or declarations like, “What if I just kill him instead?”

When she’s not plotting new ways to make her readers scream (and swoon), Adaline is probably crocheting blankets that never turn out quite square, or losing precious writing time to her daily Wordle obsession. She claims it’s brain training for crafting fiendish plot twists—but in truth, she just likes to win.

Romance novels are her first love, especially those where strong, sharp-tongued heroines drive alpha males to the brink of madness. That’s the energy she channels into every book she writes: sharp, sexy, a little ruthless, and completely addictive.
If you like your stories dangerous, your tension sizzling, and your heroes utterly undone by the women who refuse to bow… welcome to her worlds.

Natia is a bit too quick to forgive for my taste

I would've made them all work a bit harder before deciding to be the bigger person. Maybe I'm just that petty.

The only complaint I have is that the final battle feels like it was resolved too quickly. All that suspension throughout the book and all we get are two paragraphs and it's all done?!

The end does promise another book (kind of hoping it's already published, I hate waiting), but I'd really like them all to have their own stories to tell.

2.5 stars

The most dominant feelings I had while reading this book were exasperation and eye rolls. It actually hurts me to say this cuz I LOVED the previous two books in this series...but I didn't like this one. In fact, it annoyed me more than anything.

1) Too poetic and fluffy dialogues. They took the most away from the story...it came to the point that near 70%, I started skimming over the dialogue bit by bit. Everytime someone spoke, it was like they were speaking from a poem book...or a "gods' most flowery sentence forming technique" guide. I was thoroughly done with this book at 75% and wanted it to be over just because of the dialogue style.😬

2) Archan's dominance was just too much. I loved him with all of me in the first two books and I still love him but.....and it's the first time this has happened that... Lucifer's understanding and support, his gentleness and teasing won me over more than Archan's Alpha assholishness and smothering. I guess I would have a brother like Lucifer over a lover like Archan any time of any day (and thay says something considering I don't have an incest kink but I also really like sex🙃)

3)I cried at the scene with Duncan in Greed and just couldn't forgive Archan for what happened next. Plus, he was constantly asking Natia to trust him but he didn't deserve that trust. At Fucking All.😒😒

4)Natia gives this whole ass amazing speech in chapter 31 about control, freedom and love. I was proud of her for standing up to Archan and his overprotective ass plus the Cadre for their heavy handed ways and I was excited for the groveling that was bound to come after this speech. Unfortunately, there was no fucking groveling!!!! ( Yes I am fucking pissed remembering it all again) In chapter 31, Natia is like... "don't talk to me buddy, in fact don't even look at me". And then in chapter 32, she goes all " I am yours and you are mine, let's mate" and goes ahead with the soul bonding. What the everloving fuck!! Guess It wasn't just exasperation this book incited in me but an unhealthy dose of rage too.😑

5) I figured Archan's true identity somewhere near 30% so it wasn't much of a surprise anymore.

6) Natia said that her grand plan in the last chapters hinged on Archan reacting the natural and right way to her actions...and thus she wouldn't tell him her plans. Okay, considerably intelligent of her, I accept.
But where in the goddamn hell was Archan's reaction when the time came?! The whole thing was over in fucking seconds, I can't for the life of me understand what was even the need to hide everything from Archan when he wasn't even given the time to show his reaction to any audience (whether it was the book characters or the audience) ?!😤 It was clear that this whole thing was orchestrated by the author just to maintain mystery and nothing else. It pissed me off. AGAIN!!

The things that were truly fun to read were the sex scenes (which were unbearably hot ....if we manage to ignore all the flowery dialogues in between), Lucifer's every move😏 and the different dimensions of hell. I really enjoyed the various dimensions, the punishments they had and the tax required to pass them.

Although this book was okayish, that cliffhanger was intriguing and considering that the next book will be predominantly about Lucifer, I am looking forward to reading it.

Ever read these PNR books that's filed with reprehensible fuck nuts whose family trees are wreaths? This ain't it. This is a fucking ride. Book 1 had me brain dead. Book 2 comes and fucking hell if I don't have a hard on for Ant. I have a lot of book boyfriends, but this is my husband. Ant is so fucking delicious. I was beyond obsessed with him. If it wasn't for the goddamn talent this author has in weaving together such a fucking amazing world and story, I would have guaranfuckingteed been lost in Ant and not paid attention to shit else.

This book, has several fucking villains all working harder than an ugly stripper at getting to be the top dog. These undeserving fuck chimps were nothing more than a bunch of taint biters trying to outdo eachother on being the worst of them all. As entertaining as the villains were, it held nothing against Natia and Archan’s story. Goddamn author poured some emotional shit on this that had me fucked.

I'm upset the series is over. Natia is the best fucking FMC ever written. Archan is pure fucking gold. He's perfectly perfect and wrong all at once. I cannot stress how good this author is. I get headaches just thinking about reading PNR. This book was thrilling, nail biting, addictive and action packed. The sex was fucking Grade A shit, the sarcasm and humor was top notch, the comraderie and relationships were second to none. Top book of 2021 for me. Oh, and that bonus scene at the end?!!!!!! Fuck yes!!!!!!!

sigh, I'm honestly glad i'm done reading this trilogy. I am exhausted from it. The joking and poetry dialogue was overused again in the third book that was bothering me from the second. I definitely found myself skimming over dialogue cause I was just tired in reading some of it.

There is a review I commented on from "V" and they really pin point every single issue I had with this book. ESPECIALLY the wholeeee speech on Natia talking about freedom and love and not letting Archan control her and as soon as you blink a couple pages further they are fucking and creating their bond. Like what?

Although this seems that I hated the book, I didn't completely hate it/dislike it. I think the concept was great. I enjoyed being able to see the different levels of hell and what they each had to sacrifice to get through them. I especially enjoyed the spicy scenes & specifically the one on the Lust circle, iykyk

I am stilllll thinking to myself why wasn't this a reverse harem LOL I can't get over that it wasn't because it would of been awesome to have that with all the men she loved so much throughout the books and how much they loved her. It made my head spin.

The end of the epilogue spiked my interest and I see that Lulu's book is going to be in the works so I will 100% be interested in following his storyline.

*just to clarify, when I read this, I was in an extremely bad place mentally and had a hard time rating this properly. So that’s why I’m now just reviewing it.*

Adaline Winters has a good wonderful way of writing her stories, characters, and telling a unique tale to her readers. This book was no exception.

The writing style, the sass, the possessiveness, the unique plot all tied together to create a read that concluded Natia’s story in a satisfying way. It was almost bittersweet reading this third installment because I was excited to see where this story led, but sad to see it end. Natia & Archan have so much intense chemistry, crazy hot sex, and they make such a strong & powerful team. And Natia’s team/friends truly added to this story as always, especially Lucifer, who is one of my absolute favorites with his personality.

The only reason I gave this 4/5 stars was because I do wish that Archan was slightly less possessive and needed to grovel more. But other than that, it was a great end to Natia’s story. Definitely recommend for PNR readers looking for something fresh.

First thing I have to say is that I absolutely love the cover. It is gorgeous and probably my favourite out of the three books.

I was really looking forward to this book, as I loved Seducing Hope and Surrendering Hope . While I didn't love the third installment, it was still pretty decent.

Surviving Hope follows few weeks after Natia has died in the previous book. Natia has reunited with her Gran in heaven but she left her loved ones to deal with the aftermath of her death. She has touched all of them with her love and friendship and none of them will ever be the same.

Of course Natia doesn't stay dead too long and is soon reunited with Archan and their friends to help fight in the war against Zeus.

The sexy times were super scorching! 🔥 Adaline really heated things up for Archan and Natia in the bedroom. Some of the best sex scenes I've ever read.

I loved Natia's relationships with her friends especially Lucifer, or Lulu as Natia calls him. They are really charismatic duo and scenes with them in it made me really happy.
I'm also delighted that Zac has found the stick that was lodged in his behind and finally surrended to Natia's charm (at least partially).

However there were few things that annoyed me a little. I love Archan and Natia's relationship, and deep down I know that Archan loves her deeply, but sometimes it came across as he only has her around to be his sexual toy. All he ever wants to do is have sex with her. And when they're not having sex, he is trying to dominate and control her. I think that he sometimes deserved a fine kick where the sun does not shine. I love alpha asshole as much as the next girl, but there are boundaries and Archan kept on crossing them.

As much as I love Natia, she really needs to learn to think before she acts. She kept on making bad decisions which then affected the whole gang. I know that she always acts with best interests in heart, but sometimes it did not work out in her favour.

But the ending was the biggest disappointment. The whole book we are preparing for this epic battle against Zeus, and then it's over within two paragraphs. Not to mention that Natia kept on saying that she cannot tell Archan her plan because it banks on his natural reaction, but then there was no reaction to be had. He didn't even have time to react really because the war was over in no time at all. So I guess it was for dramatisation purposes only.

Too bad that it didn't have a strong ending. This book held so much promise, but even though it didn't quite meet my expectations, I still greatly enjoyed reading it. The plot with the different levels of hell and having to pay tax in order to get to the next level is very unique and cool idea.

I would recommend to read this series as a whole.

Pictures are not mine, I downloaded them from Adaline's FB page.

Ummm.. just when I thought this book would be better than its predecessor. Natia the dumb goddess had to go and do it again. 😵‍💫
This happens in chapter 30 when Natia breaks ties with Archan for making her forget her BFF.
"My heart shatters into a billion pieces. They scatter to the corners of the universe so there’s no hope of putting it back together. If he was ever to break into it again, he would find nothing but an empty husk."
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand this happens in chapter 32
"I will marry you, bond with you, mate with you—whatever you want to title it. I am yours and you are mine.”
Seriously wtf??? He doesn't even grovel or Apologize properly. She just forgives him and agrees to mate with him just cz she's horny!?!?! That too after such dramatic proclamations of how she's done with all of them. 😂
I seriously don't know wtf was this author thinking while writing this.🤦‍♀️
Also the ending seems very anticlimactic.🤷‍♀️

Book 3 in the hope legacy
✨𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙙𝙚𝙘𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧 𝟐𝟐✨

-book 1 (seducing hope) ends in cliffhanger
-book 2 (surrendering hope) ends in a bigger cliffhanger

In the first 40% of the book I couldn’t stop laughing, then I started hurting and crying. But finally we got our HEA.

The thing that I loved the most ( maybe after the relationship between Natia with Archan) was Natia’s relationship with her friends, especially with Lulu (Lucifer) .

Now all I hope for is getting some books about the side characters, their story not even close to an end, especially Lucifer and Duncan .

What a book!! I didn’t know how much I missed Natia and crew until I read the first few chapters! Then from there you simply can’t stop! I love Archan’s possessive ass so much and Lucifer crept up on me as well! Honestly I want books on all the side characters here as they all make such an impact!! The characters have such amazing bonds that it makes you want your own crew like Natias! Fantastic ending!

I loved this series so much and I recommend to any PNr fans out there as you will NOT be disappointed!

UPDATE: After ruminating on this book for the last couple of hours, I realize the true reason I stopped reading this book and why I didn’t like this series is because Archan truly disgusts me. Natia also, but to a lesser, less visceral degree. Archan is an arrogant, selfish pig. What he feels for Natia isn’t love. It’s possession. And, yes, he admitted he couldn’t feel love. But that’s not what I signed up for when I chose to read this book - or any book touted as a romance.

Lastly, the domination and kinkiness of the sex scenes was disturbing, not enticing or engaging. And I think a LOT of it comes from the fact that it was only done to Natia. It was done without her consent. It is further proof of Archan’s lustful possessiveness. We also never saw that she enjoyed being dominated or had masochistic tendencies. (In one part of this book, we see him essentially sodomize her and she reflects that she now enjoys pain as part of sex because of how much he’d programmed her to enjoy said pain. WTF?!! That’s psychological manipulation. Not love!!)

We got more care, tenderness, supportiveness from every single one of Natia’s platonic friends than we ever got from Archan. It just made zero sense why she chose this man. (And the opposite is true as well. What REALLY drew him to her? He said she brought light into his life. Guy…this girl is just a basket case who constantly makes jokes, but isn’t even funny. There’s no LIGHT. (Also, that whole ‘embodiment of hope’ business? Didn’t see it exemplified in her. Her entire personality and character should have been totally different if she was the living embodiment of hope.)

In the end, I’m disturbed and disgusted by this series and I won’t touch another of this author’s books even if you pay me.

Oh, also…major spoiler (kind of?) I looked EVERYWHERE even after quitting this book and no one spelled it out who Archan really was. I had to skim the entire damn book to finally find the part where Natia says who he is/what he is the god of. If you’re like me and just want to know what this huge secret is? He’s Erebus, the ‘brother of Night’?! So I suppose Archan is “darkness personified” (contrasted with Natia who is “hope personified.” It was supposed to be like this big secret/revelation and here’s how I felt about it: Meh. Had it been done well, I could’ve been all in for it. It could have had a Hades/Persephone feel to it. Instead it was just dumb and anticlimactic. Also, if Lucifer is a redeemable character in this series, Erebus should be even moreso. And he’s not. He’s a douche canoe.
***

Truth time. I quit at about 22% in. I have so so so many reasons for it, but suffice it to say I just couldn’t stomach this version of ‘love.’ Nor could I any longer handle the specialness that is apparently Natia.

Resurrected and altered on an atomic level, Natia reunites with the gang. Who are all understandably as angry as they are relieved.

But there’s no time to dwell on all their personal issues as Tartarus is open, and a lot of very, very bad creatures, demons, and gods are making their break from Hell.

Can our heroes shove the bad guys back in and close the gates to Tartarus for good?

I was enthralled with the ups and downs of this ragtag group of gods and such.

On surface level, quite a lot happens in this book. They have to battle each level of Hell to get through to the next. No one really knows who they can trust outside of their group. And I have to say I was second guessing the whole way through.

Now normally I’m saying the opposite of this but I actually feel this could’ve been extended into a fourth book! There is so much that we barely touched on. Archan’s true identity is revealed fairly late on and we still haven’t really seen what he can do.

We find out Nathan’s true identity right at the very end and have barely seen anything of him and his powers. And we still don’t even know who Michael is yet!

Why was the Duchess playing double agent? It was mentioned in passing that Zeus had something on her but then it was never expanded on.

I just felt a bit like there was all this build up for an epic battle at the end but then it was just…over. And I’m not saying it was easy or not well planned out. It was actually very clever and I didn’t see it coming. But it just felt too fast. I needed a bit more. Plus the fact that they seemed to have a lot more trouble in some of the earlier levels of Hell, and the last few were just there for the sake of it. Perhaps expounding the last few levels could’ve made for more of a crescendo to the end.

All in all I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this series and I’m so glad to have found a new author to stalk.

She’s left it open for potential spin offs so I’m rreeaalllyyyy hoping that’s going to be a thing!

Renewed Hope

I had given up hope on this series. I didn’t enjoy Book 2 - i thought it was very complicated (unnecessarily so) and I didn’t really enjoy the whole Archan possession storyline.

This book blows all that away. Archan is back to his usual cocky, domineering, makes you want to slap him all the way self. Natia is back as a goddess, which makes her even more badass. She just has to contend against her self sacrificing nature. However I love the way she stands up for her self and her loved ones, and doesn’t take any bullshit from any of the guys.

I also love that we get more character development from the rest of the guys. Lulu is my absolute favourite and I’m hoping from that little snippet in the epilogue, this means he gets his own book. Duncan - ahhh love and tortured. Him speaking his truth cut me deep but I loved it as it is real and what would you expect if you find yourself in his situation.

My faith in the series has been restored and even though it’s wrapped up for Natia and Archan, I hope we get to revisit them and the rest of the guys in future books. I think the author did a great job of giving us an action filled storyline with an overarching arc that didn’t devolve into too many tangents. That she was able to do that with great world building, main character development AND ensuring the side characters weren’t flat ... kudos. Well deserved 5 stars and great conclusion to the series.

PS - I can’t believe I almost forgot about the spice in this book! Perfection - the icing on the cake. Natia would definitely be growling at me for eyeing her man. Lol

Okay I could tell you how amazing this book was, but I don’t want to spoil anything for the readers who have yet to read this amazing trilogy. I will say that if you like paranormal romances or even if you’re getting your toes wet with the world of fantasy you should give this trilogy a chance.

Wow that last cliffhanger in book 2, I was dying to know what was going to happen next. Of course, I should have been reading my ARCs but instead I had to know what was going to happen to our close group of family/friends. This book was wild, with a lot of twists and turns, great romance story, mythology, action and just very well written.

I am so happy I was introduced to this wonderful author. I cannot wait to see what else she has in store for us.

Natia is dead.
She sacrificed herself to save Archan and the world.

It has been months and the whole squad is mourning her loss. Until she comes back one day, not as a human but a goddess.

Kay the creator of the world decides to give Natia a second chance if she wants it and she does.

The war is not over, there are still evil gods just starting their plot to conquer the world/universe overall.

Natia and her team work together to destroy Zeus and the duchess as well as Lawrence.

But the duchess puts a curse on natia which turns her into a mortal.

In the end, a lot of things happen.

Duncan becomes the prince of greed.

Archan and Natia soul bond.

Zac becomes less mean.

And natia in order to kill Zeus, split her mortality and immortality in half and kills her mortal side killing zeus in the process (he drank her blood, thinking he will control her but it was the other way around).

Natia becomes a full bodied goddess and lives happily every after with Archan.

…… but the story doesn’t end? An extra scene showing Lucifer walk to her and talk to the duchess asking for what’s his back.

The thing in question? It’s his soul.

If I could give this book/series 10 stars, I would.

If you are looking for your first paranormal romance book to read, look no further. I’m going to make this short & sweet, to prevent myself from revealing too much of the book.

The epic conclusion to an epic trilogy! Once again, Adaline did not fail to deliver. I devoured this book. I loved the vulnerable side of Archan. Natia is still a badass, but this time with wings and a crown. More secrets are revealed and new characters are introduced. Another sacrifice was made. And to think the steamy scenes couldn’t get any hotter.

I pictured every scene that happened in this book. My favorite part was when Natia & Archan flew for the first time together before meeting Poseidon. This book belongs on the big screen or a Netflix series. I can’t possibly think of a better ending to a gut-wrenching, magical, and emotional trilogy. I can’t wait to read Adaline’s next book. Looking forward to taking another magical journey with her characters.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
As the final book in the series, Surviving Hope had a lot to live up to - and for the most part, it delivered. This was an emotional, fitting conclusion that stayed true to the heart of the story while giving the characters the space they needed to grow, heal, and face the consequences of everything that came before.

What I appreciated most was how much emphasis was placed on emotional resolution rather than just tying things up neatly. The journey felt earned, and the themes of survival, hope, and resilience were handled with care. I found myself genuinely invested in how things would end, and there were several moments that hit hard emotionally.

That said, there were some elements I would have loved to see explored a little more deeply, which is why this sits at four stars rather than five. Still, closing out a series is never easy, and Surviving Hope does a solid job of honouring the story and characters I’ve spent time with across the series.

Overall, this was a satisfying and emotional finale, and a strong end to a series I’ve enjoyed following.

Surviving Hope was exactly what I wanted and so much more. If you haven't read the first two books run to do so, but also know this review my contain some minor spoilers.

Once again Natia has to make some incredibly hard choices. Because of that there are so many twists on top of turns on top of twists you don't see coming.

Archan just isn't the same, he's so distraught with the loss of Natia he can barely function. The thought of her coming back is an impossibility to him. He just feels so lost and it is gut wrenching.

There are new relationships, changes in others, and truths revealed. It was just so perfect and once again Adaline Winters has made me cry in the best of ways.

Five 🌟 of course, I seriously don't know if there is anything of hers I won't read at this point. Everything she has written is so emotional and pulls you into the story. The spice is an added bonus. 5 🌶 on this one too. Natia and Archan are always 🔥 I so need more of all of these characters!

Good

Warning! There’s a small cliffhanger at the end, but it’s the start of another, very intriguing, story, and not actually related to this one.

Picking up where book two left us at the heartbreaking cliffhanger, we see the final battle for the people of earth play out, and find out what happens with Natia and Archan.

This book has so much happening in it, as our heroes face numerous trials and work their way through hell. There are a couple of rather devastating events, that actually adversely affect Natia’s relationships, and some positive ones too.
It’s a thrilling ride, and by the end you’re left wondering “whatever next?” as everyone has been changed so much by everything that has happened.

A fabulous ending to this five star trilogy, that’s well worth the time to read it for any urban fantasy fan.

Saved the best for last

I had mixed feelings about this series, I really wanted to like it, and I did enjoy parts of the books, but I didn't love them. The relationships between Pandora and her team were genuine, but her disregard for their feelings did not feel like she trusted or valued their opinion. True friendship considers the other person, and Pandora is always trying to protect those she loves as she can not lose them. It was not a balanced relationship. Archan does some questionable things that, despite his best intentions, are unforgivable, yet she forgives him so quickly. The road to hell is paved with good intentions, so the say. The ending felt rushed and kind of flat, I was expecting an epic battle, and I was disappointed. This last book was the best of the three, but overall, it was underwhelming.

WOW! 😱😍👏🏽🥹🥰

Adaline first off, Congratulations on writing a killer series! 👏🏽 Wow! I can’t express how much I have enjoyed this series! It has surprised me in its plot twists, turned me on in the spice scenes like 🥵 come on the men in this series are all 🔥 and made me laugh out loud with the witty as hell comebacks the characters throw at eachother 🤣 everything a perfect series needs! The way Adaline has combined Greek mythology and Christian religion is so damn cool and I am here for it all! I’m so not ready for these characters to be at their story end and I hope there is more to come especially following up from side characters especially after that epilogue! Lulu and Duncan I’m talking about you guys! I need their own stories told like yesterday! 🙏🏽
I can’t believe this series is not more well known yet! And doesn’t have thousands of reviews! It’s AMAZEBALLS!

This f*cking book.

Pg 63 First sex scene, pissed me off. This ain't no attractive level of possessive, this is bat shit crazy and I don't like Archan anymore.
And his confession of love on 72, did not have to mention her age. And that was not an apology!

The whole bond shtick is a load of shit. He better explain before she does it.

He took Duncan from her soul. Fuck this possessive asshole. Im over this book. 184

Natia forcing Duncan to be the prince of greed is fucking ridiculous. There was definitely another way without that cost. Not to mention, she didnt tell him so she literally forced it on him.

For a badass and primordials to walk off in the sunset with a literal white picket fence, was just another nail in this book's coffin. Haven't been this disappointed by a book in a while.

Adaline Winters - Surviving Hope

Natia and Archan

Back again for book 3 in the fight for survival.

Travelling through the realms of hell; Natia, Archan and the merry gang have to fight their temptations in order to succeed.

After all this time, archan should know not to underestimate Natia. That taking her control and input away from a situation will ultimately backfire. Causing her to take a step back, and hide away. Leaving those she loves in the dark.

Forgiveness isn't something that comes easily to her.

She's busy fighting the demons trying to save everyone. Her input is the only input that should matter.

Life and death are on the line. They need to work as a team in order to save the lives of thousands.

They need a leader. They need an army. They need a face to guide and a face of support. Pandora, Natia. She is the woman. The woman to ride into darkness, bringing back the light as she wins.

@adalinewinterswriter series had me hooked. It still has me hooked. I still cannot get over how amazing this couple are. How they are so perfect for eachother. Showing a woman doesn't need a man in order to succeed, but that he's just a factor she chooses to bring along. To enjoy her life with.

In the big house, with the white picket fence. The bbqs on the back porch and the meals with friends.

Not what I expected for the final battle but a really intricate dance of strategy. The 9 levels of hell thing might have been a bit protracted at points, but it was important to push through for the ending.

Duncan's situation was an interesting and welcome twist on the all too frequent Hallmark ending. Betrayed by a best friend, who imho never did quit rationalizing her decisions and self importance, cost him his soul in more ways than one. Katia went way down the character scale in my estimation, and yet, who among us isn't flawed? Clearly, the way to Hell is indeed, paved with good intentions. Or a martyr complex...

Great series. Must now go see if Lucifer could take care of his lonely in a new book...

I wanted to give this 1 star but I liked all the other characters except for the main Character. In book 1 her stubbornness was alright. In book 2 it started to annoy me and in this book it almost made it unreadable. I just found her character annoying and unlikeable. We get it. The entire story was of her being stubborn. The story line of Duncan was just so sad. It was the most gut wrenching and yet made me dislike her even more. I made myself read this book but every chapter got more and more frustrating and annoying for me personally. I never write reviews but I disliked her character so much I had to put it into words.

Outstanding!

I cannot say enough about this series. The writing, world building, characters, and emotional rollercoaster of a read make it my new favorite. The characters remain true to themselves throughout the entire books, but allow for growth and development. Who doesn’t love a great story about Gods, good vs. evil, friendship, LOVE, and the families that you make. It has it all! I highly recommend this series. Be prepared though for long reads into the night, some laugh out loud moments, Kleenex for tears moments, and some “boy it’s getting hot in here” steamy moments. What are you waiting for? ENJOY! ❤️

I am so happy with Natia and Archean’s happy ending but I couldn’t give it 5 stars because of how things ended with Natia and Duncan. His confession that he doesn’t have it in him to forgive her just broke my heart. Knowing he will continue to struggle and be in pain breaks my heart even more. And the ending with Lucifer kind of confused me.. when did the Duchess steal his soul? Is there going to be a spin off series maybe? I hope so because I really need Duncan and Lucifer to get their happily ever afters!

But the book was amazing and I have really loved how unique this story was!

This story gives starts a few months after the events of book 2’s big cliffhanger. The spice in this one increased significantly. I didn’t love their relationship in this book, to much “I’m mad at you and done” then “it’s all ok.” I also feel like there was some stuff the author built up through all books but didn’t clarify (such as the bonding and what happens), and finding out who the primodiordals are was all little references after being so elusive. Once again Natia makes snap decisions and has big repercussions (Duncan). I enjoyed the journey through hell and seeing each level.
