Her relationship started off in the most serendipitous way, a way I was so thankful to the universe for. The stars had aligned for Lizzy and it was so bloody good to see her excited and happy, and falling in love.

Felt like talking to a friend, so open and honest about their own experiences, sometime too honest in the chapter on sex, lol. But genuine helpful advice on everyday issues and an easy read.

'What turned out to be the pivotal thing for me at this time was that I didn't know myself without him. I didn't know my limits; what I needed in a friend; how to trust myself; what kind of sex I liked—I was a chameleon. I adapted like a social shapeshifter to please everyone but myself because, in essence, it was easier than trying to think about what my true thoughts or feelings were.'

Things You Can't Ask Yer Mum - Lizzie Hadfield and Lindsey Holland.

This book is the first publication from these two firm friends based on their eponymous chart-topping podcast.

The book filters the narrative voices of each Lizzy and Lindsey into six loose categories, in which they offer anecdotes, advice and support at a distance:

As you all know I'm a fan of tabbing and keep a log of quotes I love in literature - I will share just a single quote from each section below that resonated with me, although believe me there were many!
