Ashley Sands likes to read and write about taboo stories full of romance and hot sex scenes. She enjoys telling stories of strong women and the men who aren’t afraid to support them and love them. When she isn’t writing, she likes to spend time exploring the out of doors with her rescue dog, Abby or enjoying a nice glass of wine. She currently lives in Southern California where she is working on her latest taboo romantic story.
So the hero is manwhor3 and said he had true love feelings for the heroine for years but fcked many woman in those years🥵 MANY AND HE DIDN'T DENIED IT... Not only he did that, but when the heroine moved away the hero never contact her or even chase or tell her EVER. NEVER.... When he feels that for the first time about the heroine when they first met, he didn't even chase her ever or get close to her or try to have a relationship with her.... WTF IS THIS CRAP??! I hate heroes like this. It's seriously not right and already fcked up🤢🤢🤢🤢
The heroine have to be the one who go to the hero first for something else she needs, then the stupid annoying hero magically decided hey I want you now in my life. What a crap. If i have some guy like that come up to me saying "I've had feelings for you so strongly for years" but fcked so many woman and take a long time to say that to me? I will never EVER IN A MILLION YEARS WILL I agree or be with that man. NOPE. EEWW.
Things get pretty hot between them because the hero offer the heroine to be with him just for business like not exclusively, just be the pretending girlfriend for him so he can takes her to the events for his business. She goes and play along with it as long as she can have something she wants too. The hero teasing the heroine and the heroine fell for it because both said they have been interested in each other for a long time so why not start now with those feelings. The hero of course became more and more obsessed with the heroine and always saying to himself how important the heroine is and all the great stuff about the heroine. Like he really want to spend his life with her. The s3x that they had is good too and very hot, considering the chemistry between them is stronger...
When finally they have this sort of relationship, the hero goes to a dinner meeting that his mother arrange for his business. When he got there, he meets this young woman that he described very well how pretty and beautiful she is. Which is annoying🤢🤢🥵 Like I don't like it when a hero describe other woman is beautiful with a full detailed description, like wtf.
When he meet that woman, the woman was obviously started to be flirting with him and even got close to him and touching his forearm like he was her. THE HERO LET THAT OTHER WOMAN GET CLOSE TO HIM AND DIDN'T EVE PUSH THAT WOMAN AWAY.... WTF. WHEN HE KNOWS THAT IT WAS A TRAP THAT HIS MOTHER SET UP WITH THAT OTHER WOMAN, HE STILL EATS DINNER AND EVEN DRIVE THAT WOMAN TO HER HOUSE. SERIOUSLY???! FCK YOU VERY MUCH HERO. THE HEROINE FOUND OUT AND THE HERO EVEN DEFENDING HIMSELF ACTING NOT A PROBLEM AND NOT A BIG DEAL. HE EVEN SAY IT WAS A BIG MISUNDERSTANDING. LIKE HE WASN'T EVEN FEEL BAD ABOUT THE DINNER WITH THE OTHER WOMAN, SERIOUSLY HERO? HOW STUPID COULD YOU BE??! HE EVEN DIDN'T CONTACT THE HEROINE AFTER THAT WHOLE THING WITH THE OTHER WOMAN. I'M SORRY BUT THIS HERO IS NOT LOYAL AND NOT A GOOD MAN. HE GIVES ME THE VIBE OF A MANIPULATOR AND SELF CENTERED PERSON 🤢
I IMMEDIATELY STOPPED AND JUST DELETED THE BOOK WHEN I READ THAT SCENE.
The heroine is also a doormat woman, such a bad character for her. I hate heroine like that🥵
SUCH A BAD HERO 🥵🥵🥵🤢🤢
👉🏽👉🏽👉🏽Thank you so much for reading my review❤️❤️ For you who loves my review and follow it, THANK YOU SO MUCH. I did not get paid or be told to do a review on a book. I’m here just to write review about a book so i can remember it. Its my honest opinion😚 I didn’t know at first people will find me and follow me and trust me to be honest, I was surprised myself to look at the notifications from people who reach out to me😆 So everything i write down here on a review is based on my personal opinion and based on my true writing. I DID NOT COPY SOMEONE’S REVIEW OR WRITING SKILL because at first when i was using this app for one year i didn’t know how to scroll down on a book and see the reviews from others😂😅🤣 I know, silly me but hey I finally learned my lesson 😛😛😛 Thats why when people assume i copy someone’s review i was like what? Because at first i didn’t know how to use this app properly and i didn’t know how to open someone’s review because for a year i never follow someone or add friends or someone😂😂😂🤣 (I’m laughing so hard) 🤪 AND I NEVER COPY SOMEONE’S REVIEW EVER. IF I WRITE SOMETHING WRONG OR DOESN’T MAKE SENSE PLEASE LET ME KNOW AND BE NICE OKAY. 👈🏽👈🏽👈🏽✋🏽✋🏽
I have a disclaimer down bellow if you have negative thoughts about my review😙😙😙
🌐🌐🌐➡️↘️⬇️➡️This is my own personal thoughts and opinion about the book so if thats not sit right with you or you feel I’m not being fair blablabla, please know that everybody in this world have their own different things that they like and don’t like. It may not be the same thing with you but thats okay because i am my own person and you cannot control me or tell me what to do. For example; i put ketchup (tomato sauce) on my fried chicken. You think that’s disgusting? For me its not and i’ve been eating it like that for many many years. You tell me to put another sauce and see if i like that better? I already did many many times in years but i still like the way i like it. It’s called differences between me and you and billions people in this world😊 be open minded😙 I respect people’s opinions about my opinions but in the end of the day if i say I don’t like it or i do like it, its up to me and its on me. And in the end of the day i always liked and show my respect to books and people’s opinions on books whenever that book is good or not good in my opinion 😊 Respect people’s opinions guys😙😙 I don’t want to write this down because its not really my thing to do it. To like address something like this when obviously i know the people who’s been reading my reviews many times and all the time, they are smart enough to understand and respect other people’s opinions no matter what their opinions on book or their point of view 😙😙 am i right? 💕 also there are people even though i already write “this book is different because i have my own taste of book” those people still comment my taste is this and that when HELLO… everybody have their own thoughts on books and what they want to read… why i read it then? I read it and give it a review because i have to read a book to give it a review… why not read the description book to understand before I’m going to read it? Hello just in case you haven’t notice, description books can be tricky because they write this amazing things about a book but turns out the story is so toxic. Maybe for me its toxic but not for you? YES HELLO THATS WHY US HUMAN BEING HAVE OUR DIFFERENCES, WHAT I LIKE IT DOESN’T MEAN YOU WILL LIKE IT AND EITHER WAY TOO. why i still write the review then if i just don’t like a book? Because I CAN and i want to, you cannot tell me what to do and not what to do🤪 if you still wants to be negative and be karens about my review on book after all of what i just write, i will never acknowledge you and simply ignore you because its not that hard🙏 I won’t respond to negativity comments🙏🏼🙏🏼 DON’T ASK ME AGAIN ABOUT WHY NOT RESPONDING TO YOUR NEGATIVE COMMENTS BECAUSE I ALREADY SAY IT HERE AND I WON’T BE EXPLAINING AGAIN BECAUSE WE’RE NOT CHILDREN SO ITS NOT HARD FOR YOU AN ADULT TO UNDERSTAND😌😌 YES MY REVIEW IS LONG BUT YOU READ IT ANYWAY AND ITS FINE ACTUALLY I CAN WRITE AS LONG AS I LIKE😎 YES MY GRAMMAR IS BAD SOMETIMES AND MAYBE ALL THE TIME BUT LUCKILY MANY PEOPLE CAN UNDERSTAND WHAT I’M SAYING🤪 ⬅️↖️↕️⬅️↩️⤴️
Ashley Sands is not a new author to me, and I have not been disappointed yet. This is the story of Hailey and Cody. Hailey and Cody were step-siblings as her father was married to his mother before he passed away of a heart attack. Supposedly, her father cheated on his mother, so she was a little vindictive. Cody’s mother is holding a painting that Hailey’s mother painted hostage and will not return it. Hailey decides to go to Cody to see if he can help get her painting back. Hailey has always thought that Cody was arrogant, self-centered and a playboy. Cody agrees to help, on the condition she accompanies him on a few dates to help make his image better, but in reality, he really wants her to be by his side permanently.
This story is full of drama, deceit, manipulations, misunderstandings, passion, happiness, and one conniving mother who likes to manipulate everyone and everything. Great story with great characters. I look forward to reading more from her.

Ashley Sands has written a 5-star book. This is the story of Hailey and Cody. Hailey has gone to a gallery show in the hopes of talking to Cody. She needs his help in getting something back from his mother. When she tells him what she needs him to do, he said that he needed her help with something also. She doesn't trust Cody since she thinks he is a rich playboy. He is never with the same woman twice. Cody is wanting to start a project but he needs to act like he is in a relationship and he wants Hailey to be his girlfriend for the time it takes to make the deal. He tells her that he would talk to his mother and try to get her property back for her. Cody has wanted Hailey for a while but she has never given him the time of day. Now is his chance to get her to admit she has feelings for him. The more time they spend together, the more their feelings grow. Hailey has really started to fall for Cody but she is scared that it is not real for him. Cody had told Hailey that he wants her in his bed and she tells him it is not going to happen. When she goes to the first business dinner with him, she sees a different man that she has seen before. He seems to care about what he wants to do for the community. After they have been seeing each other for a few weeks, she decides that since she doesn't know how long they will be together, she is going to enjoy her time with him and she sleeps with him. Cody wants her in his bed every night and also in his life but he knows it is too soon to tell her how he feels about her. Things are going well for them until his mother steps in to screw things up. She tells him that she has arranged a dinner with the person he needs to talk to about his project for that night. Cody had plans to take Hailey out for dinner but he goes to see her and tells her what is going on. She tells him that she understands and tells him to go. Things don't turn out the way he thinks they will since his mother Carla and Susan don't show up for dinner. Susan's daughter Alexi shows up and tells him that something came up and her mother had to cancel. Cody tells her that he would just reschedule the meeting. Alexi tells him he doesn't want to do that and anything he was going to say to her mother he could say to her. When he tells her what he was going to talk about, she said she didn't want to hear any of it. Cody tries to leave and Alexi tells him that if he does then he would never get the meeting with her mother. Cody doesn't feel right having dinner with Alexi but his project is important to him. Cody ends up taking Alexi home and their picture is taken and put in the paper along with a story. Carla goes to see Hailey the next morning and she is mad about the painting that Cody had gotten from her that was Hailey's mother's and turned around and sold it to Hailey. Carla shows Hailey the picture of Cody and Alexi together at the restaurant the night before and it said they went home together. After Carla leaves, Hailey goes to see Cody and she lets him have it. He tries to explain but she tells him that he chose to stay and have dinner with Alexi and then left with her. He said he didn't realize there were going to be cameras there. She tells him that she knows he is lying because of who his mother or even he is. She tells him that she didn't think that he would ever lie to her but she was wrong. She tells him that she doesn't want to see him anymore and walks out. Carla wants to control Cody and she wants to pick out who he dates but after what she just did, Cody's not having it. He calls his mother and tells her that he doesn't want to see or talk to her again. Will Hailey and Cody work things out between them? Will Carla get what is coming her way> This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

Ashley Sands is a new author to me and I listened to the audiobook of this story. Which I did enjoy very much. The narrators Natalie Armstrong and Christian Turner are also new voice actors to me and I have to say they were really great at telling this story...and I loved listening to their performance. This is a step sibling romance between Cody and Hailey. Cody's mother had married Hailey's father for a brief time until her father passed away and Carla took something from them,a painting that Hailey wants which holds sentimental value for Hailey. But her evil step mother Carla has it captive and won't give it back she hates Hailey. The only way Hailey has the opportunity to get it back was through her step-brother Cody who was Carla's favourite child. Cody is a playboy billionaire who has had a crush on Hailey since they met.He also has a bad reputation with woman, which makes people not take him seriously..Cody needs to be seen as a legitimate buisness man in order to get his new venture up and running. So when Hailey meets him at a function and asks him to help her get the painting from his mother, they make a deal.He will buy the painting from his mother if she will attend a few buisness dinners with him...which will hopefully help mend his reputation and also for Hailey to see him in a different light. He wants her in his bed ,in his life as his partner..But Hailey does not trust him or like him and he will do anything to change her mind. Cody and Hailey have so much chemistry and they are clearly attracted to eachother. Cody slowly chips away at the walls Hailey has built up until they finally come down just for him,and they are so good together...very steamy. But if Carla found out about their secret relationship she could destroy the good thing that Cody and Hailey have found. This is a very intriguing story and it can be read/listened to without reading/listening to the previous books.I thought it was well written and kept me entertained through-out and I will happily listen to the other books in this series. great story. 4.5 Stars.
'The Billionaire's Prize' by Ashley Sands is the first book in her new series The Possessive Billionaires and tells the story of Hailey Brown and Cody Moore. Hailey and Cody used to be step siblings as her father and his mother were married to each other. However, they were in the middle of a divorce when Hailey's father died. Cody's mom was holding a painting that Hailey's mother had purchased and she wanted it back. But but her ex-stepmother was being vindictive and refused to give it to her. Therefore Hailey went to Cody to see if he could convince his mother to return the painting to her. Cody said he would try as long as Hailey did him a favor. Cody wanted Hayley to pretend to be his girlfriend in order to update his playboy image. But what he really wanted was a chance to win her over as Cody has been infatuated with Hailey since first meeting her.
Ms. Sands has written a stellar beginning to her new series. The story has laughs, secrets, family issues, passion, and plenty of steam. I enjoyed this book and recommend them to anyone who likes some drama with their romance. I am looking forward to the next one.

Hailey's father was in the process of getting a divorce, but unfortunately, he passed away before everything was final. Her vindictive and controlling "step-mother" won't give her a painting that was Hailey's real mother's so she decided to enlist the help of her step-brother (for a minute) Cody. Cody needs Hailey's help for a business deal, but he is also intensely attracted to her and has been for some time. They come to an agreement, she will be his "presentable" gf and he will get the painting from his mother. As they "date", they get to know each other better, there is sizzling chemistry, and more. The book is well paced, has interesting characters, drama, and a ton of steam. This book is part of The Possessive Billionaires series by Ashley Sands and this books and more of her's are available to read for free with Kindle Unlimited.

I listened to the audiobook version of this title I was given a free copy of this in exchange for my review.
I haven’t read the previous titles in this series (& I don’t know if that makes a difference), but this trope is not really interesting or engaging.
The male lead comes across as arrogant, egocentric and unlikeable, even when you persevere through it. I honestly didn’t see how the relationship (purely sexual) developed into a romantic loving one, because that aspect was never brought out in the telling. All of their encounters were one sex scene after another!
As for the narration. These were not my favourite paring, I didn’t feel as if any (or enough) emotion was put into the narrative. To begin with, the man sounded as if he was doing the voice over for a documentary!! It got better as the tale moved on, but I felt that neither of them helped to drive the story.
Haileys father had married Cody’s mother but it doesn’t go well. They were getting a divorce but her father died before it was final. Cody’s mother doesn’t like Hailey and didn’t let her take a painting that her mother had bought. Now she runs into Cody at an event and asks his help to get the picture back. He agrees if she will agree to being with him so that he can get backing for a special project. She’s not sure she can trust him as he’s a billionaire and a known playboy. But she wants her mothers picture and agrees. They are around each other and have had an attraction for a long time and agree to be together. As things are going great his mother steps in and comes up with a plan to break them apart. Will she succeed?

Hailey and Cody were step siblings for a few minutes but her dad passed and now she wants a painting that her mother had that is now in the step-mothers hands. Cody agrees to get it back to her if she will help him by being a fake girlfriend while he works a deal. She agrees and they start the relationship and it goes really well until the step-mother messes it all up with betrayal, underhand planning to split them and set Cody up with a woman of her choosing. The characters are well developed, strong and determined. It is standing up to her that turns the tables on things. Loved their chemistry and support, and even their patience as they try to work things out. The ending brought it all together nicely.

I rated this three and a half stars. Hailey and Cody used to be stepsiblings for a short while. Her father is dead now, and his mother, Carla is a witch of the first order. Hailey wants Cody to help her get a painting with sentimental value that used to belong to her parents. It is not clear why Carla wants it, other than to be mean, but she won't let Hailey have it. Cody asks Hailey to come on a series of dates with him because he's trying to convince her that they could be good together. Hailey is sceptical because Cody is not a commitment type sort of person. But he wears the opposition down and sex is awesome for a while, until Carla causes some trouble again. This was all right, a bit indifferent read to me. I didn't hate it and I didn't love it. I ended up skimming some of the sex scenes. I got a copy of this book from Booksprout and this is a voluntary review.
I simply devoured The billionaires Prize by Ashley Sands. The chemistry between Hailey and Cody was off the charts intense. Hailey is determined to the painting that once belonged to her mother before she died. However, her stepmother who has it refuses to even return her calls. So she goes to the one person who could possibly help and that's her ex stepbrother Cody. Cody has wanted Hailey for years so this is the perfect opportunity to finally claim the woman he knows belongs with him. He agrees to talk to his mom if Hailey pretends to be his girlfriend. Can Cody finally earn Hailey's trust and prove they belong together? And will Hailey get her mom's beloved painting back? Great story.
I absolutely fell in love with this book. Cody had a reputation as a player and his ex step-sister needed his help in getting a painting back from his mother. Hailey’s father was married to Carla for a few years but were in the process of getting divorced when he suddenly passed away. Carla held Hailey’s mother’s painting hostage even though she hated it. What an evil and manipulative women. Cody and Hailey came to an agreement; he would get the painting for her and she would help him with a project he was planning to do in Harlem. Soon the two of them were inseparable until Carla tried to break then up. A good storyline and wonderful and intriguing characters.

Hailey's father was married to Cody's mother for a short time, but he died before their divorce was final. Hailey just wants one thing - a painting that belonged to her deceased mother - but Carla has refused to give it back. Cody is the one person who can help her, but he needs something in return. Their deal includes fake dating to help his business deal. It's just a temporary deal. Nobody's falling in love. Until they do. This book has drama, steam, lies and deceit, more steam, a few misunderstandings, and a wicked stepmother. This is my first book from this author, and it's a wonderful introduction, with two more books in coming months. This is Book 1 in the Possessive Billionaires Series and my first read by this author, and I must say that I quite enjoyed the storyline and the characters. It is an enemies to lovers romance between former stepsiblings, Hailey and Cody. These likeable characters and the unique plot make for an intriguing read. What starts out as a pretend relationship turns into something more. It is a wild ride filled with drama, steam, frustrating moments, family dynamic, unexpected twists, and passion, plus appealing secondary characters to keep the reader interested. The main characters share an undeniable chemistry and connection. An engaging page turner.

I loved the dual narration of Natalie Armstrong and Christian Turner, who bring the characters, emotions and
Hailey and Cody are step-siblings, her father married his mother before he passed away of a heart attack. Cody's mother is holding on to painting that Hailey’s mother painted hostage and will not return it. As she believes her husband had cheated. Hailey decides to go to Cody to see if he can help get her painting back. Even though Hailey believes Cody is arrogant and a play boy she goes and askes for his help. He agrees on the condition she accompanies him on a few dates to help make his image better. Cody wants this to be permanent.
This story is full of drama, manipulations, misunderstandings, and romance.
My first read by this author and … I think probably my last. The writing style was just not for me—I prefer things like
Character development, sound continuity, an actual plot, at least one likable lead.
The lack thereof combined with the weak writing and the ‘telling’ style made it extremely dull.
It does pack some popular tropes:
He’s a billionaire. They’re former step-siblings. Tit for tat. Fake relationship.
Not the worst I’ve read/heard but not good by any means.
2 stars.
🎙️ Audio: The audio was okay. Overall smooth sound quality, so I’d say this was a professional production. The narrators weren’t bad per se, but they weren’t good, opting mostly for dictation-style reading, rather than voice-acting. 3 stars.
entertaining, well-written story. steamy scenes, real love, fun characters, A playboy who wants to show his ex stepsister how much he's willing to to for her, a mean stepmother, a well-meaning stepsister and of course the lady in question. In terms of story it is a bit thin, not much happens. It mainly focuses on the relationship between Hailey and Cody, how they come together, how things almost go wrong because of stepmother Carla, and how they find each other again at the hands of stepsister Candace. Tried and tested concept. 3.5 stars

Not so much a forbidden romance as in stepsiblings but in the twisted bitter sense that her formerly-stepmother hated her. Reeling from the death of her father and wishing to obtain a painting that was her mother's favourite possession, Hailey agrees to act as Cody's +1 for business deals not realising that was an excuse to get to know her, and in the process falling for her. The twists in the tails that occur leading to a good well-rounded tail of love and "betrayal". I listened to this on audible and enjoyed the narration.

I liked this story. Cody and Hailey were ex-step siblings. When Hailey's father died, he was in the midst of divorcing Cody's mother. She had a painting that Hailey wanted back as it was her mothers . Carla (the step-mother) was a b..ch and wouldn't give it back just because. There was a lot of wrangling but Cody finally got it back to Hailey, but then his mother sabotaged his relaetionship with her. The had a huge attraction to each other, but it took awhile to act on it. A good HEA.

Hailey father was divorce Cody other when her dad died before it is final. Her mother never like Hailey and is holding a painting a that her mother had bought and she wants it back. She meet up with Cody at a event and he realize that he wants her in his life again for long turn. Cody asked her to date him so he can get people to see him in a different light. Hailey contacts Cody for his assistance in getting something of hers from his mother. Cody agrees to help, if she'll help him with a situation he's having. But...is Cody manipulating Hailey? He's wanted her for a long time. Is this a way for him to finally have her or does he really need her help? Can Hailey trust Cody to help her without any ulterior motives? What does the future look like for these two? Do they even have a future? Another really great book from this fantastic author. I recommend this book.
Hailey’s father was married to Cody’s mother. Her father passed away in the middle of the divorce, Cody’s mother is the evil step mom that won’t return a painting that belonged to Hailey’s mom..She is manipulative, controlling and vindictive. Cody wants to change his playboy image and promised Hailey he would get her painting if she pretends to be his girlfriend. But his busybody mom has other ideas for him. This story has it all. Drama, passion, lies and happiness. The narrators did a great job in performing this story
The author has given us a wonderful story that pulls us into the lives of Hailey and Cody and does not let go. At one point in time, they were stepsiblings, but never had much contact. Now she needs his help and he sees this as his opportunity to bring her into his life. Will he be able to get what he wants most?

It is authors like Ashley Sands that got me hooked on reading romantic love stories all those years ago and why I continue to this day. A book that you forget your worries and concerns and lose yourself in the main characters and their words. Although Hailey and Cody's parents had been married, they had not seen eye to eye at the time. Their being together now revolves around a painting and getting to know each other better. A happy ending and start to a future together.
I enjoyed reading this storyline which follows two adults whose parents were once married. As adults they spent very little time together during that marriage. Once they meet again they feel an attraction to one another. Can they move past the ex step sibling title?

Hailey needed a favor and the only person that could help her was her ex-stepbrother, Cody. Even though they were step siblings for a short time, Cody respected and cared for Hailey. Loved this slow burn between them. Couldn’t help being captivated by Hailey and Cody.
