Watching Ruby build a life away from Reindeer Valley hasn’t been easy, but I had to let her spread her wings and find out what she really wants. I’ve known what I wanted from the moment I saw her in high school. But I was a jerk then, someone who didn’t understand what love truly meant. Now I do.

When I picked up this book, I wasn’t expecting dual virgins. I typically run fast away from that trope. Sometimes I can tolerate if the MCs are in high school, but mostly it’s a no-go for me. While I don’t think the MC’s ages were confirmed, the way they speak about the years since high school and their careers, it sounds like they’re in the 30s-40s. 👀😐 Their conversations, attitudes, actions (or in this case total LACK of action 🙈) made them seem like early 20’s, at most. 👀 This was super cringe for me. 🙈🤷🏼♀️
Also… the H was supposedly in love with the h all these years and never went after her. He just waited around in their hometown for her to decide to come home. What a dud. 😐
Bottom Line? This book wasn’t for me and the story/characterization was just objectively not good. 🤷🏼♀️ ⭐️⭐️

I love that Knoxs was obessedddd with Ruby from the start even in high school but he made some mistakes and it did cost him, but he made a vow to let his girl grow under his eye and when the time is right he'll move in. And it's time. He uses some fun dirty tricks like buy many cookies from her grandma bakery to make her come home to help. And their first encounter was kinda frosty but the sizzles was there. Ruby kept her guard up since she didn't really trust Knox. But his sweet mouth made her melt like a puddle.. but with a small town some "bullies" from their high school come a knocking making their relationship alittle rocky. And with all the secerts Knox is hiding is uncovered Ruby should have made him grovel alittle more but she gave it to easy.

This is a silly, smutty, and sweet Christmas novella.

I like this little story a lot because the town of Reindeer Valley comes to life with quaint shops, delicious food, motley characters and a lovely second chance romance.
Ruby comes to town a bit disillusioned from city life. She wants to help grandma in her bakery because Christmas orders have shot up and the old lady can't cope. What she doesn't know is that the culprit is the same man who was her high school crush, the rich man in town.
In this sweet and hot story, I enjoyed the sage cat, the funny characters, the main couple who have never loved anyone else, the banquet of delicious food, Knox and his relentless sense of possessiveness and love for Ruby, and the snippet we get of another little romance in the making with Merry, Ruby's best friend.

Christmas Crush is book one in the Reindeer Valley series. It's a christmas-themed, slow-burn romance novella.
Our FMC is Ruby, and our male MC is Knox. I had no idea this was a virgin trope, so it was a big surprise that BOTH mcs were virgins. It was a sweet trope to read honestly, as I've never experienced both MCS being virgins before.
Knox was a sweet, likeable character, as was Ruby. But I definitely have a soft spot for Knox. It's definitely a slow-burn book. And my pet peeve with the storyline was the major lack of communication all around. So much could have been avoided if there was proper communication. lol.
It was a sweet book, but I'm not totally sure how many more books I'd like to read in this style.

Super quick fast paced romance with two virgins and a second chance romance. The hero Knox has always loved Ruby but never did anything about it. For years since high school Knox has devoted his life to becoming a man worthy of Ruby. The time has finally come for him to claim his girl. With the holidays looming Knox devises a plan with her grandmother who owns the local bakery. He bombards her with orders to the point she needs to call Ruby back home to help. Ruby had gone away to college and now has a fancy job in the city, something she’s learning isn’t her thing; it lacks that small town charm and the people are mean. Of course Ruby comes home but Knox’s goal to win her heart won’t be easy. As the spoiled rich kid in the town Knox didn’t have the best reputation or behavior in highschool, something Ruby has not forgotten. The book takes place over a few days and flies by super quick and has a super sweet holiday ending.

Argumento:
Ver a Ruby construirse una vida lejos de Reindeer Valley no ha sido fácil, pero tuve que dejar que extendiera sus alas y descubriera lo que realmente quiere.
Supe lo que quería desde el momento en que la vi en la escuela secundaria.
Pero yo era un idiota entonces, alguien que no entendía lo que realmente significaba el amor. Ahora lo hago.
Y ahora es el momento de que Ruby vuelva a casa. La panadería de su abuela se ha visto abrumada (misteriosamente) con pedidos para las fiestas durante la semana pasada, y la abuela necesita ayuda. Solo puede llamar a una persona, una persona con los conocimientos necesarios para hornear la montaña de pasteles y galletas navideñas.
Rubí.

Mí humilde opinión:
🎄Un romance estilo MINK! Un mecánico alfa y totalmente obsesionado y una dulce panadera con curvas traen momentos sexys y divertidos en este librito navideño.
Me gustaron los protagonistas y la conexión inmediata que tenían, que tuvieran que solucionar un tema del pasado fue entretenido. Estaba totalmente boquiabierta con todo lo que hacía Knox para demostrarle a Ruby que ya no era el idiota de la secundaria.
Siempre me quedo asombrada por lo que son capaces de hacer los héroes de las historias de Mink. Madre mía, Knox cruzó todos los límites para traer de vuelta a Ruby al pueblo de dónde se fue para convencerla de que pertenece allí y principalmente a él! Estaba loco y exagerado por amor pero pensaba que era dulce como planeó todo para que se enamorara de él.
Disfruté esta pequeña historia, aprecié los detalles de navidad y adoré al gato de Knox!🎄

Knox was an idiot back in high school and let the girl he loved get away. But not too far since he always had tabs on her. Now that he got ruby back in their town, he has to convince her that he’s the one and she belongs in Reindeer Valley!!

Aaahh heck I freaking loved how obssessed and in love Knox was. He wanted to give Ruby time to spread her wings in the big city. But now is the time to show his woman who she really belongs to.😍😍 A little trick and a whole lot of ordering for her grandma's bakery give him finally the chance😉😉 He will do everything to get his woman that he loved for like forever 😍😍😍 Sweet, romantic, safe and with a great HEA. 😍😍😍 Can't wait for the next story and the next couple 🥰🥰🥰

Commentary: This was a little different in that it was a spoiled rich boy instead of a spoiled rich girl (the latter is one of my least favorite tropes, and I didn't like it any better when gender-swapped). Knox had to overcome family prejudices but he's a changed person and he still wants Ruby. He'll use his money for good instead of for reputation this time around.

This book was absolute Christmas perfection! The way Knox had been crushing on Ruby for so long and then decided to get his girl was literally the sweetest thing ever & he really went all out. I love the trope of dual virgins that have always been crushing on each other and then realizing they both are into each other so much! This Christmas crush was so sweet, safe, steamy, and satisfying to read. I can’t wait for Merry’s book because MINK really knows how to write hot alpha men and amazing curvy women.

Classic mink/ small town/ 2 v cards
I love mink .. her storylines are always written so well and have a great steamy vs storyline balance. This was cute.
The things:
-DOUBLE V CARDS 😱😱😱 I know right?! Loved that
-H and h meet in HS but she overhears him talking bad about her and she leaves town once she graduates. They never get together or have any moments than the first bc he’s a rich kid, and she’s just a local townie. BUT, little did she’s know. Our H always knew she was his.
-Mild stalking but it’s not part of the H story here it’s just discovered. Our H has been watching h since he knew she was his, for YEARS, while she was at college and then living in the city.
-Manipulative H…. He basically has a friend buy huge orders from the h’s grandmas bakery so she will be so swamped she will call Ruby for help bringing her back home and then he’d make his move.
-As soon as Ruby is back Knox is there. Picking her up, taking her to the bakery, telling her she’s gonna stay with him, calling her his girlfriend lol. It’s adorable
-a cute little black car named Greasy (as usual for Mink to have in her stories)
-Steamy that your used to from Mink
-misconstrued OW drama… she sees something that isn’t full concept and the H shuts that shot down ✋🏼
-Jealous Possessive moments more talked then action… but it was ok with me bc the story was good and I wasn’t looking for a OTT JP H from this going into.

So I want to start off by saying that this was definitely not Christmasy enough for me but that wasn't the only problem I had with the book. I really did not like the relationship in the book and honestly I kind of feel like Knox came off as kind of a creep or stalker. He has kept tabs on Ruby since high school, he orchestrates this whole scheme to get Ruby to come back into town, he hires someone to beat up her boss, and he doesn't propose to her but basically gives her an engagement ring and says she's his now. I'm confused if all of this is supposed to come across as sweet and romantic because it comes across as obsessive and creepy. And honestly I've read books where the main love interest is obsessive or stalker-like but those have been dark romances. This is supposed to be a light and fluffy holiday romance and I just don't think that behavior is cute in this type of setting. I don't know it just felt borderline uncomfortable because Knox was just too much and Ruby just accepts it. I just wanted more Christmas cheer and less obsessive man behavior.

This was a sweet read with a good redemption stalkerish vibe and a nice balance of steamy times. I love smut but I also like some story to and this had both.
If you want a story we’re the H will go to any extreme to get his girl then this is for you.
I especially loved the NO Cheating and since there is years separation I think that’s important. They are BOTH Virgins cause he waits for her and ONLY wants her. Is it realistic? No….. but damn if I’m not ❤️ loving this to an extreme. I wish all H were faithful to their hearts like this especially in romance. 🤭❤️🔥
