Now, I have completed the entire 14 book series. All cute easy to read storylines with a setting in DC. Neat to have seen a lot of these locations over the years. Great series.
I liked this book because it was interesting and awesome. The best part was at the end when K. C was ratting out everything about what Mr.Peeps did and that he was the thief who stole the Jefferson horses. The awesome part was when Arnold used his belt to trap Mr. Peep`s feet and his necktie trap his hands.
My favorite character is K. C because she is smart, quick, and a prankster{Just like Marshall}. I thought this because when she was tracking down Mr. peeps she was very resourceful.
I would recommend this book to somebody who likes mystery and action.

We've read most of the Capital Mysteries and have really enjoyed the series. This was one of our favorites. We enjoyed learning about Monticello and laughed at Spikes antics. The mystery was exciting and not overly dangerous for KC and Marshall. Now that we live in Virginia, it's wonderful to read about the various monuments and historical places that we can visit here.
KC and Marshall are painting a closet in the Whitehouse. They find a box of horses that belong to Thomas Jefferson so they go with KC's mom to Monticello. Soon after it is stolen, how could it be stolen? The box has only two keys. It has to be a worker, but which worker and how?
while painting k.c. and Marshall find a cubbyhole that was abandoned and they find Thomas jefforson's toys and take it to where jeffroson lived and then the next day its stolen.
Its about how KC and Marshall find a box of horses for Thomas Jefferson and its made in 1803.They soon deliver it in his house and then someone stole the horses without someone looking.
I liked it. They find some horses made by Thomas Jefferson's grandchildren in the white house. They have to return them to Monticello, but they get stolen right after they return them.
It took us about 2 months to read this but me and my reading pal finally finished this book!! My pal is so smart, but even he couldn't get the twist on this book. This was a GREAT book for my buddy...made him think. We will read another next fall, he has all ready asked me to go to the library before we meet again. :)
Someone stole a special treat that was found in the White House. The gift was in a closet for over 200 years!! Once the gift was given to Monticello, someone STOLE it! The crime will be solved by 2 kids that are very smart in history and not afraid of adventure. What out! There is also a spider on the loose.
