I, Alex Hartwell, just screwed up big-time.

Now the hockey team I was traded to, the Las Vegas Wolves, have me on a short leash.

You’d think a hotshot defenseman like me would have known better.

Guess not.

But I’m trying real hard to behave now.

Why else would I agree to stay at my teammate’s house for the next three months in order to keep the team happy?

It should be a breeze, as Sebastian Alderman is cool. Only problem is I didn’t count on his hot sister, Kelsi, staying there too.

FML, as Hockey Code 101 says sisters are off-limits.

Yeah, I can’t take the risk. Even if Kelsi and I are wildly attracted to each other. Not to mention, she’s pretty effing cool.

But I better behave.

Or not only will the Wolves be breathing down my neck, but Sebastian will be too.

Risk on Ice is the eleventh novel in the bestselling Boys of Winter hockey romance series.

This story was excellent, it was fun and flirty and a lot of fun, the story had me smiling and laughing throughout the entire story. The characters were awesome as we loved them all, especially Kelsi she was our favorite what a sense of humor she had in some instances I wish I was more like her. Love her new take on her new life, what a brave soul to finally get the things out of life you always wanted.

Alex, a bit of a playboy with a questionable past but, he is in a position now in this stage of his life that he is done with all the partying the puck bunnies he is ready to settle down and find the right girl for him low and behold one just happens to be living next store to him. We loved Alex as well, he too was fun and flirty with a wicked sense of humor but, most of all, just an all around nice guy.

Overall, the story was a home run for us, it was fun made us laugh had a cast of awesome characters with a couple that had amazing chemistry and an awesome connection. I light fun read that made us smile, and it was the perfect story to put a smile on my face made me laugh out loud and a perfect ending to a day that could have been better. Loving this author and series.

This is one of my favourite hockey romance series and Alex Hartwell and Kelsi’s story is the perfect addition to this great series.
Alex Hartwell has been traded to the Vegas Wolves after messing up again so his new team have decided to keep him on a short lease and suggested he move in with teammate Sebastian Alderman for a while. That shouldn’t be a problem after all Sebastian is cool but what he didn’t expect was to fall hard and fast for his hot sister Kelsi whois also new to town and staying with Sebastian. Well we all know teammates sisters are off limits so how is Alex going to cope for the next three months…. You need to one click to find that out.
Thus book has it all, I smiled, I swooned, I giggled and I fell hard and fast as I got to know Alex and Kelsi. The chemistry is sizzling, the banter is witty and natural but what made this a very special read was the bonds built as these two danced around their feelings. Catching up with some old characters was an added bonus to this well written, entertaining read.

5 Star Review Risk On Ice (Boys of Winter #11) by S.R.Grey

This is one of my favourite hockey series. I love S.R.Grey’s writing style, her characters are strong, have depth and I know when I pick up a book I will be treated to an entertaining, well written story with characters who you cannot help but fall for.

Although book eleven, you can easily read this as a stand alone. This is Alex and Kelsi’s story and from the first chapter I was hooked. Although it may not be a long book, it packed a mighty punch.

Alex’s career has been turbulent and when finds himself traded to the Las Vegas Wolves he
also ends up with a roommate, fellow teammate Sebastian. Complications arise when he
finds himself attracted to Sebastian’s sister. The chemistry between them sizzles, their
banter is witty and I quickly became invested in their journey.

I love this series and it was great to catch up with familiar faces and see what’s happening in their lives.

I have read a few books in this series but not all of them, so I can definitely this book does read as a stand-alone. I love to read sports romance novels, especially if that sport happens to be hockey. Alex & Kelsi are both great characters to read as individuals, but together they are something special. I thought going into this book the whole bro code would come into play, and as much as I love reading that, it was great to read Alex’s teammate Sebastian being cool with a relationship developing between the pair. So obviously the angst is basically non existent in this book and it was very refreshing for me.
I do hope that there will be even more books released as this is definitely one of the better hockey series I have read. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book

Alex is a professional hockey player who has just been traded in part due to his actions off the ice. When he joins his new team, they have decided that he will stay with Sebastian, his teammate and friend, to ensure he stays out of trouble but that is easier said than done when it comes to Sebastian’s sister.

After the way that her marriage ended Kelsi decides to spend some time with her brother so that she can have the emotional support she needs while she faces an uncertain future. There is no denying the attraction between her and Alex but are either of them ready for a relationship?

Alex and Kelsi were so much fun together as circumstances had them spending time together and realizing that the chemistry and connection between them was too strong to deny.

5 Starting Over and Finding Love Stars!

I LOVE this story so much!! I wasn't sure about Alex in the beginning and what a manwhore he was, but Kelsi absolutely brought out the best in him. I really adore how their chemistry is so immediate. Their story is really about being in the right place at the right time. It's clear they needed each other to make their lives complete. And the fact that Sebastian wasn't all growly big brother, but still protective, is perfect! And of course the sex scenes are super hot!! I love all these guys so much… I'm going to miss them!

You’d think by now I’d want to move on from these guys, but no, not even a little. I really love this series and SR Grey’s style. She always writes characters you root for and storylines you see yourself being a part of. This was a quick read with very little angst but a whole lot of heart. It made me smile from the very beginning and I had a lot of LOL moments! I highly recommend this series to any hockey romance junkies out there!

This was a good read. Alex is starting on a new team and trouble has already found him. He is living with Sebastian. Here he meets Kelsi and they hit it off right away. The problem is that her brother is his teammate. They are afraid he will be mad. Thankfully everything works out and they get their happy ending.

Risk on Ice is a quick but also entertaining read. I just love this series and Alex’s book is a fantastic addition. I found him to be a genuine, caring, sportsman, who would do anything for those he cares about.
As a high profile hockey player, he needs to maintain a good impression, however when a photo is released and shows him to be a playboy, he needs to lay low for a while.
He heads to his teammates place for some peace and quiet. What he doesn’t count on is meeting Sebastian’s sister. Alex and Kelsi meet in a funny way and strike up a wonderful easy friendship. Can these two resist temptation, especially considering they both don’t want to hurt Sebastian. I adored Kelsi and her attitude.
I really enjoyed this book and this series is one of my favourites! Loved it!

This is story with a quick moving plot. Alex is a professional hockey player trying to turn his life around. Kelsi is divorced and needs a reset for her life. Both characters converge at the same time in Las Vegas at Kelsi’s brother’s house. These two get hot and bothered as their attraction to each other rage. It is a wonderful story that shows the sweetness of the characters as they overcome and open their hearts to a happily ever after.

He’s the bad boy who had to redeem himself and she’s his team mates sister. While some may think that Alex and Kelsi’s relationship is going fast. Her brother did so until Kelsi pointed out that his relationship with his live in girlfriend did as well. While that may be true they did get to know one another by starting off as friends. That obviously only lasted for so long. They get their happy ending.

This is one hockey series I always look forward to reading. The storylines are enjoyable and are so much more than a sports romance. You can’t help but fall in love and root for these characters to beat their challenges and get that happily ever after we all want. You are missing out if you don’t click this book.

I like some angst in my stories. There’s no angst in this one but that’s ok because I like the characters and how connected they are, not only sexually but intellectually, emotionally and just in every way possible.

Kelsie Alderman is on a road trip to visit her brother in Vegas after her divorce from her cheating louse of a husband. Her life has been constant, non-stop work with little else to give her any joy. A visit to see her brother Sebastian is just what she needs. She’s looking forward to slowing down, enjoying life and all the moments it has to offer instead of working all the time.

Alex Hartwell is the new acquisition of the Las Vegas Wolves and almost immediately lands in hot water with the management of the team when some risqué pictures are posted on social media. His good friend and teammate, Sebastian Alderman suggests he come live in his house for a bit until the bad publicity dies down, which seems like a great idea to Alex. That is until he meets Seb’s sister. Wow! The connection between them is amazing and not to mention the chemistry is intense. But can Alex resist the pull he has for Kelsie and honor the Hockey Code 101, “sisters are off-limits”, or will he risk it all for the woman he is starting to fall for?

This is a very sweet, almost insta-love story between two likable characters. There’s really no drama or angst to speak of. It’s a tale about two people who instantly click and from there things take a quick turn to love. I like the fact that she’s older and is not really looking for love but finds it unexpectedly with the younger but certainly mature and handsome hockey player who’s stolen her heart. Definitely an enjoyable read.

RISK ON ICE is the perfect addition to S.R. Grey’s Boys of Winter series. Alex Hartwell was just traded from the Florida Panthers to the Las Vegas Wolves. At his going-away party, a picture was leaked that was not very favorable. A former Panther’s teammate who is a current Wolves’ teammate, Sebastian Alderman (DARE ON ICE, Boys of Winter #10), suggests to him and management that Alex moves in with Sebastian and his girlfriend, Bettina, to keep Alex from getting into further trouble. Meanwhile, Sebastian's sister, Kelsi, decides to surprise Sebastian with a visit and take him up on his offer to stay with him whenever she wanted. Kelsi and Alex immediately hit it off, but there’s that unwritten rule that teammate's sisters are off limits.

RISK ON ICE is the perfect book for anyone who is the mood for a sweet feel-good story. Kelsi and Alex are likeable characters. Kelsi has been recently divorced. She is a lawyer. She is older than Alex. Alex is a good guy who has gotten in trouble in the past. Kelsi is the first person that makes Alex want to settle down. The two are great together. They have some interesting obstacles. The story was believable and easy to read. It left me with a smile on my face. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

This is a light ice hockey romance in which the heroine is a bit older and divorced. She moved in order to start afresh and comes to visit her brother Sebastian who is an ice hockey player. His new teammate Alex lives with Sebastian temporarily and of course Kelsi and Alex are physically attracted to each other. They try to resist for a while because of some sort of bro code that supposedly makes a teammate's sister off limits but as they become more friendly it's a natural progression.

This story is recommended for those times you want a no-angst story in which everything comes together pretty easily. In the beginning Alex was in trouble with his team for some party photos but it gets forgotten. When one of them wants to move to the next stage in the relationship the other one is on board. Sebastian is cool with their relationship, Kelsi's ex causes no trouble and there is not a lot of ice hockey drama. Nobody dies and there are no contrived misunderstandings to necessitate a third act break-up. These are just two nice people who suit each other.

I voluntarily reviewed a Hidden Gems copy of this story.

I have read all of the Boys of Winter books by author S.R. Grey and while this can be read as a stand alone book, you will WANT to read them all once you have finished this one! The characters are fun, swoon worthy and the hotties you didn't know that you needed to meet! I am not a die hard hockey fan, but I love the series, I feel like I can relate to the game, the stats, the characters and the locations used in the book.

Alex is a former bad-boy, Kelsi is a former lawyer they both need a change and they don't expect to find that the change it a relationship...but can Sebastian get past that? Can Alex change? Is Kelsi ready to accept things? There are a roller coaster of emotions running through this one - and the reader is there for it! They will laugh, yell, curse, and at times even curse the author (#sorrynotsorry). This is one of those books that you zoom through the pages so quickly that you instantly need to go back to re-read it to see what you might have missed the first time.

Add this one and all of the others to your TBR list - you won't be sorry! It's a fun read for everyone!

I really like their story and the characters. Despite being a story where a guy falls for his teammates sister, it's low angst. There are concerns at different points in the relationship, but nothing becomes a huge drama, which is sometimes a nice change of pace. There is a little bit that does detract from the story though...mostly, many of the conversation notations are clunky- a lot of 'he said'/'she said' that could have been worded better. I kept wanting to pull out a red pen and make them better (not something that actually works when reading on your phone). Also...he has a concussion and drives the next day? Sure, it's a really minor one, but being released to drive and skate (though just skate, no actual playing) the very next day seems a stretch. Still, they couple is great together and it's a really cute, fun relationship. Definitely a decent read if you're looking for something light and quick to read.

Alex got traded to the Vegas Wolves hockey team after messing up again with his former team, and while the Wolves are willing to give him another shot, they aren't about to let him off his new leash. He ends up staying at a new teammate's house (Sebastian) & while he likes his new roommate, he doesn't count on the attraction for Sebastian's sister, Kelsi, who is also living there. Now we all know that bro code is very much a thing, and when it's a teammate's sister, well, it's even harder because of team dynamics but the sparks are flying between Alex & Kelsi, so it's a trainwreck in the making or is it?! I LOVE this author's writing style as it's not necessarily high on angst (everyone needs a break from the heavy), but her characters have depth, not to mention are relatable making them fun to experience, and Alex & Kelsi are no exception . And I don't want to forget about the fun, flirty, and witty banter that had me smiling & laughing making Risk On Ice a delightful story that I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Risk on ice (Boys of Winter 11)

This is ten eleventh book in this series by this author, these books just keep getting better and better the more they are. This is the story of Alex and Kelsi, these two characters are perfect for each other and have such intense chemistry between them from the start. This is an ice hockey romance at its best from this author. This story is filled with hot and steamy scenes, passion, romance, chemistry as well as plenty of witty banter. This is such a good read, once you start you just won't want to put this book down. An amazing addition to this incredible series of books by this author.

I was given an advanced reader copy of this book and this is my honest review

You want sweet? It doesn't really get sweeter than this story.
You want smooth? The love that blossomed between Alex and Kelsi couldn't have been easier.

The author made these characters seem genuine and realistic. What happened between them felt organic and necessary. There was absolutely no muss and no fuss. Imagine a story that is about what the couple shares, without the drama.

Risk on Ice was a sweet and beautiful story. It won me over with how utterly simple and natural it was.

So if you're looking for an adorable couple who do adorable things... look no further than this!

This was a sports romance.

Kelsi Alderman is a recently divorced attorney from Salt Lake City. Her younger brother Sebastian is a professional hockey player for the Las Vegas Wolves. She decided to temporarily relocate to visit her brother and to start over and learn to take life slower.

Alexander Hartwell has recently been traded to the Wolves. He made an error in judgement right before moving that has caused an issue with the new team management. To correct the problem he agrees to live with Sebastian for a few months.

Kelsi and Alex are immediately attracted to one another but don't do anything except flirt at first. She is concerned because he is younger and may not be mature enough for her. He is concerned because of the Bro Code - not dating a fellow player's sister. They eventually get together and quickly fall in love. They tell Sebastian, go public with their and and get their HEA.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. This is the 11th book in the Boys of Winter series. Each book in this series is a different hockey romance with a HEA ending.
Alex has just been traded but on his first day with his new team a risky photo hits the press and is getting all kinds of negative attention. The team wants to clean up his image but thank goodness he isn’t getting a life coach. Him and his BFF/teammate Sebastian come up with the solution for Alex to move in Sebastian’s garage apartment to keep an eye on him and help keep him out of trouble.
Kelsie is recently divorced and needs a change. A reset on her life. Her brother always told her she is welcome anytime. She just hopes showing up unannounced is a good surprise.
I love a good forbidden romance and this best friends sister romance was the perfect read. I have loved every book that I have read of this series. You can’t go wrong with these hot hockey guys.

Being traded is really never the words you want to hear but that is what Alexander Hartwell heard .. the Bad Boy of the Florida Panthers heard. He was traded to the Las Vegas Wolves where he said to himself he is going to change his image from the bad boy to the golden boy BUT one last night with Viv and Vee already has him in HOT WATER with his new team ….

Alex learns his fate with his new team and instead of a life couch, he gets to move in with Sebastain Alderman, which happens to be a friend and extends a branch to and for him to straighten out his old ways. Except …. a certain family member of Seb’s has the same idea….

Kelsi Alderman is coming off a bad divorce and decides the best thing for her to do is to go spend some time with family and figure out where her life will go now .. from being a topnotch lawyer she needs a break. But when Kelsi makes her way to her brother’s house in Las Vegas, Sebastian Alderman a ice hockey player on the Wolves, she finds there is no room in the inn.

Kelsi moves into the main house with her brother while Alex lives over the garage except the chemistry between these two from the first moment in the kitchen is off the charts and way baddddd for both of them. So when Alex gets hurt and his off the ice for a while they develop a friendship which they both can live with .. or can they ??

LOVED this installment of Boys of Winter !! Cant wait for more Hockey Men !!

Complications arise when Alex meets Kelsi, who is Sebastian sister, and she stays there are well. The chemistry between these two is sizzling and undeniable, and it is entertaining when they dance around their feeling for one another. This is a well written story which is humorous, and with family, friendships, witty banter, and love, which leads to an entertaining page turner.

Such a sweet heartfelt tory with lots of positive, cute, adorable and sexy moments. Not only does Alex have to adjust to being traded from the Florida Panthers NHL team to the Las Vegas Wolves, but he is going to be part of a documentary, plus the fact he's in hot water with the new team over some very inappropriate social media post that went viral. When the Wolves Management agree to several terms with Alex and his friend Sebastian, he isn't expecting to have to question Rule 101, when Seb's sister shows up unannounced. I loved how happy go lucky, sweet, patient and adorable Alex is in this story. I also loved how Kelsi isn't afraid to go after what she really wants and doesn't let her past experiences ruin her chances at happiness. My favorite part of this story is how sweet, patient, understanding and close both Seb and Kelsi are, and how they supported each other no matter what.

Risk on Ice is a fast moving, when you know you know connection, plus add in the teammate’s sister and hockey’s current player adventure that you will devour. Alex is starting fresh on a new team, but one last trouble has Alex in the hot seat. Now living with his teammate Sebastian in order to stay out of trouble, sounds good, but Sebastian’s sister - Kelsi, shows up and now we have a full house. Kelsi and Alex have that instant connection, but both deny it at first. Kelsi is trying to get away and figure out what she wants in life and then Alex walks in. Alex tries to avoid Kelsi, but fate has other plans. Kelsi and Alex will pull you in and have you hooked waiting to see what will happen between them! Don’t miss it!

I really enjoyed Alex and Kelsi’s story. He is staying with his teammate because of some trouble he got into and she asks to stay while she figures her life out. The chemistry between them is smoking and they have a lot in common. I appreciated how she owned up to judging him unfairly. He was probably one of the sweetest characters and I was rooting for them to get their HEA.
Their relationship moved fast, but they were all adults when the relationship was revealed. Her fear that he wouldn’t want to start a family was realistic and showed her vulnerability. His reaction was authentic as well. I really enjoyed their story and look forward to more in the series. I received an ARC and this is my honest, voluntary review.
