As a mother of two, I find this book very special because it teaches my kids how to accept and love themselves unconditionally. There are very few books out there that instill such values, and yet, I find them so crucial! Children need to learn to embrace who they are; every facet of who they are, and not be so harsh on themselves. I love how this book uses easy words that they can understand. It is really a gem, and a book that is so needed in our world!

Very sweet and sparked some good conversations with my 8.5 year old twin girls. We loved the pledge and the line “…be as YOU as you can be!”

My mom (huge fan of Anita Moorjani) wanted to check out this children's book to see what it would be like.

I was surprised by how thin the book was when we picked it up. (The paperback version is not on Goodreads though, only the Kindle version.) The illustrations are pretty good but the actual content is a bit lacking. The theme is pretty trite - it's basically the whole "love yourself no matter what".

One page said "Brushing you teeth" - this book was hand-lettered (although the lettering wasn't that clear), there was a mistake there.

The book was repetitious and didn't explain things it should've (e.g. Why you should love yourself even if you're doing bad things/failing/etc.)?

I expected more from Anita Moorjani; this book is very surface and basically says "love yourself", without explaining much. This book may be targeted towards younger kids (which would make sense of why it didn't go deeper), but it still could be improved.

The message is good and the book is good, but I don't think it deserves 5 stars.

To Begin- Do you need some love, like warm-kind-of-feelings love?
This book delivers.

One Synopsis- Anita takes the reader on a journey of love.
She describes different types of love- we appreciated the self-love section.
She talks about how everyone needs and feels love.
The illustrations are adorable and friendly and inviting.

One Opinion- Loved this book for multiple reasons, most importantly, who doesn't
love a book about love? I could see this book as a great help when kiddos are
feeling low or bad about themselves. This book is a literary cheerleader.

I actually read this in Spanish. It is a cute book telling you to love yourself first and then share that love with others.
