a action filled book that deals with PTSD.

I wanted to love this book, I really did. I've read books from this author before, and absolutely loved it. But there a couple of things in this one that kinda ruined it for me. So I'm giving it a 3.5 star (Rounded up because I liked the plot.)
For instance, where are the character descriptions? Literally all I know is that Noah had a bit of a beard, and that Rose had green eyes and a heart-shaped face. That's it. The book goes into more detail about what the dog looks like than the people. Perhaps this was intentional? Maybe to allow the reader to make up their own idea of what the characters should look like, this I can overlook, but unfortunately the lack of character descriptions cost it half a star.
The other thing was the way it ended... That cost it another star, in my opinion.
Now not all of it was bad. The plot was really good, I loved the storyline and the change from making the vulnerable character the male character instead of the female character was a nice change. It was a very fast-paced plot line, which gave it a sort of action movie vibe. If you didn't pay attention, you would miss out on quite a few details. Oscar was adorable, and it nearly broke my heart when Noah was so so terrified of him. And of course the supporting characters were really fascinating, I remember reading the book and thinking to myself, I wonder if this character is going to have his own book?

Would I read this again? If I don't have something else to read and am looking for a fast paced story, then, yeah, probably.

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Tracing a Fugitive. This is book two in the series Boulder Creek Ranch. This story is well-written, action-packed, and full of drama. I know you are really going to love it.
Army Veteran Noah Greene is running from armed men. They are trying to find his best friend and they will torture him until they got the information they want. They believed his friend is a traitor to our country but Noah knows that isn't true. He's staked his life on it. He begins climbing up a rock wall to get away from the gunshots only to lose his concentration and fall.
Rose Rodgers is out testing her K-9 partner Oscar. She's hoping he will qualify for Search and rescue but fails the test badly. As she is leaving the area Oscar takes off after a scent. She's beyond embarrassed until the dog finds an injured man. hiding the injured man lands her in the midst of a manhunt.
A long hard journey trying to stay ahead of armed and dangerous men with an injured man with a fear of dogs. God has a plan for these two, a plan for hope and a future. God has a plan for you too even in this time of political unrest and chaos. Give Him your heart and watch Him move in your life.

Noah is on the run! His friend Thomas is deep trouble. the bad guys are chasing Noah. but who are the bad guys?
Noah is trying to find his friend, but the bad guys keep following him. He just knows Thomas would never sell secrets to the Russians. Thomas had saved him once so now its his turn. If only he could keep the panic at bay as-he hears the dogs.
Rose knew her dog had failed his SAR TEST but something has him distracted today so she finally gave up and called everyone off the mountain. She would just have to try again next time. Then her dog took off calling her to follow him He leads her to the mountain again and this time finds a man who is having a panic attack after falling off the mountain. Her rescue dog is causing the man to show such terror that it breaks her heart. This is a man needing help just the way she did after her sisters death. This is the start of how she gets involved in Noah’s troubles. This vet needs her calm voice and manners to bring him back to the present. To help him keep from getting killed by whoever it is chasing him.

This was on the sale shelf at my local library. It's rare I give Love Inspired Suspense more than an average rating.
The Pros:
*The story drew me in from early on.
*I liked that it started out with Rose being the strong one and Noah being the character who needed help. I also liked that this became more equal as the story progressed.
*Oscar
*The author let the romance develop at a realistic pace. By the end of the book, they're only agreeing to date (though we know that the author will have theirs be a true love and that they'll eventually be married). Hopefully the author will continue the realistic pace and let them move past the infatuation stage before they end up engaged/married.
*The supporting cast: There are many characters that I'd like more backstory on--Thomas, Michael, Chris, Willy, and Beau. I'd also like to see TJ's story continue and have him find someone.

This was not my favorite book by Hope White. The plot wasn't well developed; I didn't really understand what Noah's problem was except for some bad men chasing him and beating him up a couple of times. I didn't think the characters were well-developed except for Rose, whose character was very strong and overshadowed the other main characters. I had little connection with Noah except for his being hassled by the bad men. I kept hoping Rose would end up with T.J. instead of Noah. Then at the conclusion, Noah and Rose confess their love for each other, and I didn't remember them having any dramatic and romantic interludes. The cover of the book was attractive which is what enticed me to check it out, and I liked Rose's dog Oscar although he had skills that were hard to believe. I hope my next read from Hope White is better than this book.

Edge of your seat suspense
From the very first page this story is filled with suspense, learning about faith, learning to trust, friendships, and communication. Rose has a heart as big as Montana, but has issues with trust. Noah is a vet with PTSD who only truly trusts those he served with. He's a good guy trying to help a friend when he encounters Rose during one of her SAR missions with Oscar, her dog in training. Sparks fly and suspense ramps up.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was a one sitting read because I just couldn't put it down. The characters immediately pull you in and the plot keeps you guessing with each page turned. I would recommend this to anyone who loves suspense, a story with faith woven within, or just a good, clean read.

This is Hope White’s second book in a Boulder Creek Ranch Novel series.This story is full of suspense and action! It is well written with good characters, plot line, and an adorable dog!

Army veteran and IT man, Noah Greene, finds himself being hunted by numerous groups as they are all trying to find his friend, Thomas. Is Thomas guilty of selling special software to foreign spies? Rose and Oscar land right in the middle of helping save Noah from the Feds, Russian agents, and Stratosphere.

I really loved the action packed story line. It was fast paced & intriguing right from the start. I really like the fact Noah needed Rose and Oscar to work through his PTSD flashbacks. I had some issues with Rose's reaction to Noah's not including her in his plan to save her at the end as she really needed his intervention to end the situation and her reaction was ungrateful to say the least but it all came out right in the end. Overall loved the story (especially Oscar's part) and will read more of the author's stories as she pens them. Would like to see all of Noah's have their own stories told. I am a sucker for clean, exciting, action packed stories like this one.

She saved Noah from men chasing him, not once but several times! Men from his job, the FBI and men from a foreign country trying to get military secrets. Her dog, Oscar is drawn to Noah then so is Rose. Will he make it out alive? Will Rose?

Mystery and suspence overload!
Oh my goodness! I don't know how this author packed so much suspense mystery, excitement, and craziness all in one story! Just when I thought I was at the end, another event happened! Wow, I can't wait to read another.

Interesting story. In my opinion Noah was a little too easy to catch off guard. But the plot is good and keeps you involved. Good read.
