Patrick Livingston Murphy Williams was an American sports executive, who served as senior vice president of the Orlando Magic. Williams began his career as a minor league baseball player, and later joined the front office of his team. In the late 1960s he moved into basketball, with his biggest achievements being the 1983 title of the Philadelphia 76'ers and being a partner in the creation of the Orlando Magic.
Jill comes across as an entitled whiner. Trade places with me. I'll gladly squeeze my own OJ for a chance to be able to stay at home and raise my kids, without having a full time job on top of it. I can see why they got divorced 2 years after this book came out.
I always enjoy Jerry Jenkins' craft. He was the ghost writer of this account of a marriage in deep trouble and how following some Biblical principles turned it around.
This is an interesting bio of how Williams restored a failing marriage. I enjoyed it, but being a stickler for good prose, I wish this book would have had less slang.
