I really like this series because of how unique it is within the realm of game-centric Isekai. However, this volume seemed to slow a bit, and that could just be me getting tired of things, or the fact that the author is running out of steam. The main issue I have with this story is that we are now running into the trap of having to increase the threat to the protagonist and then find a way to solve it. It's power creep, and it it can make or break your normal Isekai book. Here, it's the introduction of more and more powerful units, and the protagonist trying to react to them. It also reads more like a RTS game more so than the previous novels, which, in all honesty, is kinda boring. Still, the overall storyline continues to be interesting. Bit by bit, you get more of a glimpse of what is going on behind the screen, and that is good. There is a mystery there that helps to move the story along, which is nice. If there is another English version released, I will probably get it. But in the end, I am starting to tire of this series, and hope it picks up and finds its second wind, because right now it's slowing badly, and almost feels like the author is losing interest in writing it. I hope that isn't the case, but I guess time will tell.
I wish I could give this book a higher rating. I actually really enjoyed the politicking, the diplomacy, and the various battles. What I don’t like is how the book basically ended on a cliffhanger, but also a kind of rushed ending of the entire series (?). Like, I don’t understand how that could be the end of the story when things are so obviously on a knife’s edge. I’m hoping there’s more, but it doesn’t really look like it for the moment
Her Majesty’s cruelty and blood thirsty nature was the best thing about this series, so it is disappointing that she’s getting soft and peace seeking. I miss the girl who delightfully kills everyone in a country and shoves bugs into kids’ heads. I wanted her to realize the world is real and she kills everyone anyway.
kinda feel like this is written like a dood. Because the woman is written low emotion. Just wondering in general. Read the whole thing interesting series kinda in that akria range type books. I'm not gonna recomend it but for what it was trying to be it's 5 out of 5 but never gonna read it again. not glad I read it and not mad I read it either weird zone.
Wished it was better. I'd love to elaborate, but Amazon likes to hide negative reviews for whatever reason. Unfortunately I can't give good feedback this way.
Took a shot but not in the dark. Youtuber placed it last at 5th...but I FIRST of female lead isekai. Being writer of its genre and more I can provide a perspective non writers may not.
Arachnea supremacy.
Can a consistent storyline and respectable plot maintained through four books? A feat less than you think can attest. Heck learned a word in volume 2 - camisole.
As volumes progress do a more than half decent job humanizing Grevillea without wholly dulling her edge. Harm those she admires, feel fangs. For details on volume 1-3 see my reviews.
Far as volume 4's traits passes itself off as a military campaign. Well and good. While Nyrnal puts up clear might, plot armor creeps in. Feels inept, like sending beasts without support and when done is scanty and late.
The empire chalks it up to leadership and experience.Red stained road ahead.Brought all 4 at once after reading reviews. A bet that in all but vol 2 hits the action spot. Character as stated progresses well.
Grevillea in the closing pages. Lets just say takes a leap in belief...is what I choose saying and not for the better.Volume 5 is set up in the above, clunky IMO. Its 2 years since last publishing.
COME ON UNLEASH 5 YESTERDAY.
In closing, you can find my own works embedded here and kindle.
