A treasure map can spark the imagination and lead to great adventure. And dead a dead body.
The Murder Mystery Book Club has found a treasure map that might lead to Ernest Hemingway’s secret treasure. When they head out to uncover this priceless treasure, nothing will stand in their way. Even a dead body only motivates them further. Can they solve a murder mystery and find a long lost treasure?
I wish I could give this more stars but it was FILLED with errors, specifically a lot of using incorrect homophones. For example, at one point a character “dawned” their jacket, when it should have been “donned” their jacket. Also, one of the regular characters- Vicky, had her name spelled “Vicki” in two places, but “Vicky” everywhere else. It was almost like this book was written using a dictation software and no one ever edited it.
Eva Stewart finds a dead body in the library of her B&B. A Hemingway book the dead man 🚹 had is missing. The mystery book club take on assignments in the investigation. Detective Jerome Makos comes to the meeting and learns facts from the group. These lead to the truth and arrest of the killers. I would recommend this series and author to 👍 readers of romantic friends relationships mystery novels 👍🔰. 2023 👒😀😡🏡
The Hunt For Hemingway is the 4th book in the Florida Bed & Breakfast Mystery series and they continue to be great! The characters are likable and interesting and the cozy mystery is intriguing and kept me guessing until the end.. There is friendship, humor, and potential romance. The thing I like the most is the friendship among the mystery book club members. Eva owns the Key's B&B in Key West, FL. There are several things going on that keep the book interesting. A guest dies. There is a box and map said to belong to Hemingway. Eva's mystery book club gets a new member or 2. Detective Jerome Makos and Eva are finally becoming friends. He seems to understand Eva's curiosity and intelligence but doesn't want her or the book club to get hurt. It all keeps Eva very busy! There is room for some editing improvements but it isn't overly distracting. This was such an enjoyable book and series it still rates 5 stars! I can't wait for the next book!
Anyone interested in crime solving but I did fiind Something kind of against what I've learned about key west. I've always heard that the temperature in key west remains around 70 degrees! What do you think?
I love this series!!!! It is heading the way I really like it to go!!!!! Eva has guests come in for the Antique fair they have annually, this year there is an odd air to it. Especially when Geraldine came to Eva about her find at the antique auction. As she was showing Eva, one of her guest happened to see what she had and he gasped with great surprise.. Eva turned to see and he hid his face behind his newspaper. Eva talked Geraldine into putting it in the Keys B&B safe. A while later is when it really got strange, as Eva's burglar alarm went off. And it went off the next night that is when detective Makos got involved and Eva's guest expired in his room. Eva found a pin ( in the shape of a small magnifying glass) on the floor by the safe. As she looked into it, Willard saw it and told her about a group of men in a secret society called " the Holmes Society " they hunt for treasures. And who do you think belonged to that secret society? Now you have to get this book to find the answers like I did!!!!! YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!!
This is the fourth book in the series. The story kept me interested and company while I worked out. Characters are developing, Eva and Jerome are starting to talk, possibly becoming friends.
Sarah is introduced as a young woman who Uncle Sal befriended in the same manner as he had befriended Eva. She has a troubled past and needs a job.
I listened to this book from Hoopla through my library. I actually rate this 3.5 but there are no half points in this rating system. Fast paced read, I enjoyed it.
Another good read in this series and the pace seems to be picking up. I like the way the characters are developing and that the focus shifts from one to another, without ignoring anyone. The introduction of Sarah was a welcome part of the continuing storyline. I’m going on with the series to find out if my theories about some of the characters are correct, and because the writing is well done.
Once again Eva Sullivan is faced with a dead body. This time she also has a treasure map, an unknown "relative", and a possible career change added to the mix. In the end, with the help of the MMBC and the handsome Detective Makos, Eva figures it all out through coffee " dates", boat rides, and a racing heart with the gorgeous detective and her good friends.
Danielle Collins, is a great writer developing a group of characters in a Mystery Book Club, from various walks of life. They come alive and just as they are friends to each other they open their hearts to others. This Cozy caper is so believable. That is what draws you into the story and characters. If you like a good murder and mystery you have to this book and the others in the series. Enjoy and do not miss a thing!
I love this series sooooo much! I'm trying to pace myself because there are only two more books left but I'm pretty sure they'll be read this month...or even this week!!! Love Eva and her murder mystery club sidekicks. Plus, the romance I'm hoping for is finally taking off (fingers crossed!) and there's a personal mystery for Eva to delve into in future books...a cold case no less! I'm so excited!!!!
The Hunt for Hemingway : Florida Keys Bed & Breakfast book #4
So far I read the books 1-4 in the Florida Keys Bed & Breakfast Cozy Mystery, and I've gotta tell each book in the series was GREAT reading. This is the first time I've read anything by this author and I've got to admit each book grabbed my attention and held it to the end. You're gonna enjoy Eva her club and all the things they get into.
Lukijana Aida Reluzco.
I am glad we got to learn a little more about the main character's past, but I am still very curious about other things that have been mentioned and not yet explained. I have been greatly enjoying the development of the character's relationships. I look forward to seeing what happens next.
Eva and the MMBC gang welcome a new younger member to the group. When a body turns up in the B&B, It's all hands on deck as Eva, Jerome, and the MMBC try to track down the treasure and the killer.
I have enjoyed this series as it is interesting and clean with no foul language. Someone dies at Eva's bread and breakfast in this book and turns out to be murder!
I like this series and I enjoyed this book but the incorrect spelling of Hemingway throughout the entire book really annoyed me, seriously no one caught that before it went to readers?
I usually enjoy these cozy mysteries. But it feels more like being a proof reader. I wish they did the work before publishing. This book was way worse than the first 3 in this series.
Again this group of friends who start out to solve a mystery end up solving a real life murder. A man is murdered in the B and B. Why? What's the reason he is in the Keys
Eva is at it again. When one of the MMBC finds a treasure map in an antique box they bought at a fair things get to rolling. A guest is murdered in her B & B and that is no coincidence. Trad you will really like this.
I am really enjoying getting to know the characters in this series! This was a great story about stuff I am not acquainted with and told in an excellent way! Starting book #5 now!
This is a really good book! I like the characters and it is written well. If you want a good mystery without the bad language and sex this is for you. Although the main character likes the detective but doesn't want to admit it. It is very refreshing to read.
I enjoyed reading this book very much. The author is very talented. I have read all the others in the series and have enjoyed them all. She always makes the storyline interesting and the characters are enjoyable.
I really enjoyed this fast-moving and exciting murder mystery. The camaraderie between the book club members is amazing. I also love the antics of "Poirot".
I have read all the previous books and like the characters but the author does seem to really drag out the romance between the leading character and the policeman. The story is very drawn out and confusing but I will probably read the next one at a later date.
Even though it’s a cute story, I find it astounding that Hemingway’s name is misspelled throughout the book. Note it’s spelled correctly in the title. Significant typos.
