Theophilus Monroe is a fantasy author with a knack for real-life characters whose supernatural experiences speak to the pangs of ordinary life. After earning his Ph.D. in Theology, he decided that academic treatises that no one will read (beyond other academics) was a dull way to spend his life. So, he began using his background in religious studies to create new worlds and forms of magic-informed by religious myths, ancient and modern-that would intrigue readers, inspire imaginations, and speak to real-world problems in fantastical ways.

Quite the deviation from Theo's previous books but I loved it! It hooked me from the very 1st paragraph, reeling me in and didn't let me go until the end! Theo's penmanship is second to none! He has a knack of creating a world so vivid, that it feels real. So engrossed was I when reading this book, that an IED could have gone off and I wouldn't have noticed it( no pun intended!) It follows a former soldier, Brian, who, together with his company, is seriously injured by an IED in Iraq. He survives only by having nanotechs injected into him. But this nanotech is like no other, it is linked to an algorithm, which, in effect, controls the nanobots, which in turn, control the person. A riveting tale, very cleverly written to make the story completely believable. I enjoyed each and every character, even Dr Flat, the very misguided and quite frankly, obviously not of sound mind, creator of the nanobots. The entire story is brilliantly paced, so well rounded and thought out. Lately my reading has consistently been fantasy, so it was quite the rush to read this book! It reminded me how much I also enjoy sci-fi/ futuristic tales! So thrilled this will be a series, but, sigh, now I have to try be patient awaiting book 2!

Wow, this is so different then what I have read of Theophilus Monroe books. We have the future technology. Is it really what they say? Will it really help us? Brian Goff is the first to get injected after his injuries in war. But what are they really doing to him? Now everyone has them. They can live without diseases or other life threating stuff. But what is this Algorithm, can it really detected a threat in people? Follow Brian and the resistance as they figure it out.

This is book one of the Nanoverse series and the main character is a former Marine, Lieutenant Brian Goff, who was injected with an experimental drug called Nanovax after being badly injured in an IED explosion. He was healed from his injuries by this new drug, which was infused with nanobots and meant to be mankind’s salvation. Nanovax can cure almost any injury f disease, making doctors, nurses and heaps of others obsolete. Brian was made the face of Nanovax, hailed by the President as being a miracle cure, but whilst it may have healed his brain, it never stopped his PTSD from surfacing. He lost his wife the year before this came out and is now a single parent to his young daughter Susie. After a series of coordinated terrorist attacks destroy fifteen cities all in one day, the doctor behind Nanovax, goes to the President of the USA and offers him the Algorithm, using the same technology that created the Nanovax, it could now use the nanobots that every citizen was encouraged to be injected with, to track and predict human behaviours.
Dr Archimedes Flat wasn’t the man who created the Algorithm, that was a Dr Larson, but when Dr Larson had doubts about the technology and its use, they separated and somehow Dr Flat kept a version of the Algorithm which he then took to President Neuhaus, saying it could be used to identify the fifteen terrorists involved in the Fifteen Cities attacks and bring them to justice. This resorted in fifteen people being locked up in Leavenworth serving life for the attacks, crimes none of them actually carried out! When Brian is out in the park with his daughter, he blacks out and finds his body has been taken over by his nanobots and e is under arrest as a terror suspect, accused of planning an attack in a park in Kansas City, Missouri. As he is being forced away from Susie, someone grabs him and takes him away in a van. These are the resistance, only a small group led by Dr Larson and his wife, as well as Liza the sister of Carlos, one of the men imprisoned for the Fifteen Cities attacks, a priest called Father Ezra and also a former Marine called Bonecrusher, who was injured in the same IED attack as he was back in Mosul, Iraq. He thought Bonecrusher was KIA and presumed dead, but it seems after he was given the injection he ran out into the desert and laid low, not knowing what had happened to him.
Brian has been identified as a threat to his country and now he and this small resistance group must stop Dr Flat and his control over their country with his nanobots, before he can take over control completely. He already has the President in his control and most of the former departments in government were no longer needed after the Nanovax was created, leaving him as the President’s personal advisor. He has been playing God with his creation of Nanovax and the Algorithm, taking control of all the citizens and being able to identify any that he sees as threats, such as Brian. Brian was injected with the first ever dose of Nanovax and this made his nanobots slightly different to those the rest of the country received. Because of his PTSD episodes, his nanobots react in a different manner and he finds out he has some control over them and those in other people! No wonder Dr Flat wants to get him locked up and out of sight somewhere. All Brian wants is to get his daughter back, as he is all she has left, but someone high up is using her as a pawn and a desperate attempt to get her back, could be playing right into their hands! A dangerous new technology has changed the world as they know it and one man in particular has decided to remove free will from all and is looking to rule the world in the image he foresees. Crazy alert! The book is set in the not too distant future and shows a worrying trend for nanobots and new technology being forced on people without proper testing and certainly with no regulation over the one man in charge of it all! Frightening stuff and so much more to come I hope. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.

ALGORITHM
by Theophilus Monroe

Nanovax was supposed to be our salvation.
Death and disease, now obsolete.

Until the terrorist attack. Fifteen cities in a single day.

Again, they said Nanovax was the answer. The same technology meant to heal us could now be used, through an algorithm, to track us, to predict human behaviors… To thwart future terrorists.

I'm Lieutenant Brian Goff. I received the first injection. It healed my wounds in the war. I became the face of Nanovax... Then, the algorithm identified me as a threat... a terrorist. Now, I'm on the run and fighting against the very technology that once saved my life and if that wasn't frightening enough the government has my daughter.

Algorithm is the first book in Theophilus Monroe's Nanoverse, an action-packed dystopian sci fi thriller series. As a former soldier, suffering from PTSD, Brian Goff is not only a threat to the new system, but his very injury has given him control over the nanobots. Like Neo, in The Matrix, Goff is an unlikely hero whose "technomagic" makes him the last hope for human liberty, freedom, and justice.
Go up and click 'Read for Free' or 'Buy Now' to find out how Brian Goff and the resistance rise up to challenge the algorithm!

This story is set in the future in Kansas City Missouri where everyone is injected with the “Nanovax” that cures diseases with an algorithm that is embedded in it that is the perfect executor of preventative justice.

The algorithm would be levied only against the most imminent and gravest terrorist threats.

The main characters of the “Resistance”
Brian Goff soldier and first injected with Nanovax
“Bonecrusher” Keith Koontz fellow soldier
Dr. John Larson co-inventor of the Nanovax
Seneca Willms, I.T. extraordinaire
Dr. Eloise Larson wife of Dr. Larson and the one who found the flaw in the algorithm
Liza Rodriguez Spec-Ops soldier
Father Ezra Pulowski who has a natural immunity to nanobots
Carlos Rodriguez convicted Navy Seal in Leavenworth
Susie Goff daughter of Brian

President Harrison Neuhaus
Rowland Fuentes Chief of Staff
Dr. Archimedes Flat co-inventor of Nanovax

That’s all I’m telling about the story except for my favorite lines of the story.

“Brian Jefferson Goff. You have been marked by the algorithm as a threat to national security. By the authority of the President of the United States, you are under arrest. Do not attempt to resist. Your peripheral nervous system is now under the jurisdiction of the United States Bureau of Prisons. You have been charged with attempted terrorism and found guilty. The judgment of the algorithm is final. You are hereby sentenced to life in prison without parole. Your motor control will be returned to you upon your arrival at Leavenworth Federal Penitentiary. You are not entitled to an appeal.”

But Dr. Flat knows… this is what he intended. The algorithm is more than a code to predict crime. It’s like a religion, a law more absolute than the Ten Commandments. Flat claims it’s scientific, based on proof, and he’s done well to convince most of the country and the government that this is the case. But the fact of the matter is it’s based on inferences from things like heart rates and blood pressure that are too human to be confined to any kind of formula. The algorithm doesn’t root out crimes. It roots out threats… threats to the nanonetwork.”

None of us need to define ourselves as victims of circumstance. Horrible things happen. But these things need not define us. When we cling to others, when we allow love to flow through our hearts, we can find ourselves again.

Wow…just wow.

I really love this story. It took me back to the movie “The Matrix.” It has that science fiction, the fourth dimension, planes of reality what is real kinda feel to it. It was action packed and full of page turning angst that kept me awake while reading it.

I would highly recommend it to everyone because it crosses many genres and is an interesting and entertaining read.

This title will be released on October 28, 2021.

It is deemed successful and our MC Brian is the first test subject after life threatening injuries during military maneuvers. But what did they really do to Brian? And what was the real purpose of this nanotechnology?

That's what our MC Brian believes right up until they come for him.

In the midst of all this chaos the military and scientist have worked together to develop an additional use for the nanobots. The same technology meant to heal huminity could now be used, through an algorithm, to track and predict human behavior. But are they really using it to find the terrorists?

Follow Brian and his rag tag team as they try to find out! This is an amazing read. It is so we'll written story-line is fraught with drama, action and tension from start to finish.

“Algorithm” by Theophilus Monroe marks the start into a brand-new dystopian/sci-fi series, that manages to integrate very pressing modern-day issues with futuristic dystopian tropes into a story that is both, highly entertaining and easy to read while being eerie accurate in shining a light into our modern world and some of the dangers we might encounter in our ever-faster-going race for technological prowess. But don’t make mistakes, this is first and foremost an entertaining tale, which mixes tropes from ‘Minority Report’, ‘Surrogates’ and ‘Matrix” to a 100%-original Theophilus Monroe story. If you are already acquainted with this author, you know what to expect: high-quality storytelling, perfect crafted-world, deep, interesting, and captivating characters, full entertainment, witty situations, a pinch of irreverence and in this particular case an extra-portion of fun bordering on occasion on the whimsical. Let me give you some prompts to enjoy the book at it fullest – yes, I know you are all already advanced fan, but allow me, nevertheless - you can schedule to read the book at any given time, but… should you schedule an evening lecture take some measures: re-schedule that job/zoom meeting in the morning, should you make it, you will not look your best, sleep is overrated but all-nighters left their signs, because… once you begin the book, you will be unable to put it down, is a fact, believe… and beware of spontaneous burst of shocked expressions, unexpected expletives, and even heartly laughs… it’ll happen, often… thus be cautious of sleepy neighbours. I refrain to give you an overview on the story, the aforeprinted blurb should suffice, believe when I tell you, you don’t want anybody to spoil this tale for you, thus happy reading and enjoy it to its fullest 😉

For those of you that are not acquainted with Monroe…. I refrain to ask under which rock have you be living all this time, because that is between you and your rock, but… really? Must have been a real big rock…. 😊 Monroe is a real master when it comes to organically blending modern urban fantasy, eternal tropes, mythology, religious tropes, while easily blurring boundaries between reality and legend and transform them into a veritable smørrebrød of action, yes ‘smørrebrød’ no other word would do, Monroe offers a multitude to choose from and let the decision to you, although…. Usually you will end up, having to have it all 😉

When it comes to Monroe, I have already learnt to always expect the unexpected, puzzling twists, wonderful characters, and mind-blowing descriptions, garnished with a good dose of magic some sprinkles of mythical lore and some paranormal romance on the side, and served with very well-crafted, with an accurate world building, interesting characters, captivating writing style and carefully editing. And still…. he gets me every single time, no matter whatever high my expectations are, Monroe manages to meet them with miles to spare. I can’t hardly wait for the next instalment… really… can’t…. must, but can’t 😉

This first book in a new series by Theophilus Monroe was so very different from all the other books of his I have read, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. While I do enjoy a good sci-fi, I haven't read one for a long time, but I really liked this futuristic take on how our world could really be if nanobots took over!

Brian Goff, a soldier, should have died when his armoured vehicle hit an IED, but survived with the new technology of Nanovax, an injection of nanobots that can cure all injuries and diseases. Seems like the perfect solution, right? Wrong! Whilst it does save millions of lives and extends everyone's life expectancy, there are, of course, consequences. Consequences that no-one had really thought of. No-one that is all except one of the men who designed it. And Archimedes Flat has other plans for his nanobot technology. Plans which will disrupt the whole of America, if not the world!

This book was a great read - it was fast paced, full of action and emotion. I loved the idea of the nano technology and it did make me wonder if in the future (or maybe not so distant future) how much of a reality this could become! The thought of these tiny robots in our blood system controlling our thoughts, our moves and our memories is a scary one and I think Theo showed this in a thrilling, exciting and at times nerve wracking way!

I received a copy of this book from the author, but this review is my own honest one!

Algorithm is the first book in Theophilus Monroe's Nanoverse Series. The world is in trouble. Death, disease, poverty rule. How will we survive. How do we care for humankind? A new technology has been developed. A method that can inject nano bites into the human blood system. It is successful. Nanovax, a technology using nanobots has been created and we no longer have death, disease poverty. No longer will our children die of starvation. Nanovax is to be the our salvation! It seemed that our world was now blessed until a terrorist attack!. Fifteen major cities through out the world have been hit. But scientists and the military have found another use for the nano technology. All of mankind has now received their injections. The war to end all wars. A terrorist attack! Fifteen cities in a single day! Our protagonist Lieutenant Brian Goff he served in the military and fought in the war. He fought the terrorists. He suffered and was severely injured. Once again there was so much death, disease, injury, poverty, will anyone survive? Have we solved the problem of poverty and disease only to be derailed by terrorist? In the midst of all this chaos the military and scientist have worked together to develop an additional use for the nanobots. The same technology meant to heal us could now be used, through an algorithm, to track us, to predict human behaviors. We can now predict who the “bad guys” will be. Picture the Matrix. Brian was healed. He received the first injection! He was the face of Nanovax. He was that guy, that soldier that stepped up and received the first shot. Would he now be the soldier that can track the terrorists?
Monroe has a home run once again. He hit it right out of the ballpark! This is a brilliant read ... well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable. Great suspense and action with and wonderful world building. This is a brilliant read! It pulled me in from beginning to end and held my attention. The world building is detailed and imaginative. This novel has strong, well developed characters and an interesting story line that keeps you turning the pages. I recommend this novel and would read more novels by this author. Moving at a blistering pace, Monroe takes you on a wild ride without a single dull moment. Infused with non-stop action, the narrative blows past in a whirlwind of acutely planned chaos that keeps you hooked from start to finish. I gave this honest, voluntary review after being given a free copy of the novel

Brian is given a 2nd chance when he is injected with Nanobots after an IED hits the humvee that he and his fellow soldiers were in. He struggles with PTSD and when he gets flashbacks, weird things happen, but when the algorithm deems him a terroist threat and targets him for arrest, all goes sideways. He is saved by the 'resistance', but that is far from the end of his ordeal, most important, getting his daughter back.

This brings some scary thoughts to mind to what could be in a different time, a different situation for even our own world one day. Brian has an uphill battle, must look inside himself to help get his daughter back and save many from some crazy ideas.

I really enjoy everything that Theophilus writes, this one was no different. I look forward to seeing where this story goes.

So I am not usually a big sci-fi reader or anything about robots clones stuff like that but this was an ARC I decided to give a try since I just recently joined Theophilus Monroe’s ARC team. And oddly enough I enjoyed it very much especially since the main characters were veterans of the military and such This book was a great read and has me intrigued to give more sci-fi books and authors a try. Hope you enjoy!!!

Received as a review copy from Story Origin, this is an honest review. Also received an audio review copy through Story Origin narrated by Miles Meili, who beautifully captures this complex narrative making this story even more captivating.

This is such an immersive, futuristic, harrowing journey that veteran Brian Goff faces; and you get thrown right into the action from the start. If it wasn't for Nanovax, Brian Goff would have died in another Iraq war and while Nanovax saved his life, war leaves upon a person wounds that no miracle drug can cure. Haunted by powerful flashbacks of his service, Brian struggles to find normalcy for himself and his daughter... then their world is shattered the algorithm that was sold as going to protect the public deems Brian Goff a terrorist. Now he finds himself caught in a strange web of secrets and lies surrounding Nanovax and its creation and a resistance group fighting to give back the freedom cruelly stolen. A wonderfully written first book that engages in such an impactful way, highly recommended.

New technology has been developed as a cure for all. The human race will live forever with this new technology called Nanoverse. There will be no more disease or life-threatening injuries all will be cured with Nanoverse.

Nanoverse was created to cure all illnesses but an algorithm has been found in the code that will also allow people to be tracked. It can also detect if a person is going to commit a crime. There is one problem with this new information, it does not work correctly as Brian Goff can attest to.

Terrorists have attacked fifteen cities in fifteen days. Brian is one of the people arrested for this crime. The thing is Brian did not commit this crime. He is innocent. Lieutenant Brian Goff was the first person to be injected with Nanoverse. Brian was injured by an IED explosion. Nanoverse saved his life. Brian lives alone with his daughter after the death of his wife about a year ago.

Brian is spending the day with his daughter in the park when he is arrested for terrorism. The same technology that saved his life is now holding him leaving him no control over his body he can’t even turn his head to look for his little girl who they are leaving in the park all alone. Just as Brian has been arrested and taken into custody he is whisked away by someone else, the resistance.

Now the government has his daughter. What do they want with his daughter? Maybe use her against Brian? Use her to get him back? Use her against Brian to get him to do what they want? All Brian wants to do is get his daughter back safely and he will do whatever it takes to get her back.

I wanted to read Algorithm for a while now. I have been thinking about Algorithm and the Nanoverse for days, weeks before finally giving in to read it and boy am I glad I did as it was everything I was expecting and so much more. It would not leave me alone staying in the back of my mind calling out to me ever so often until I finally gave in.

The world-building was spectacular. The characters were all just as wonderful. The descriptions were all so vividly written making it so easy for me to see it all in my head. I was pulled into Algorithm’s world from the first page. Algorithm was a fast-paced read as the action never let up. I can’t wait to dive into the next book Nanoswarm to see what is on the agenda for this wonderfully amazing world.

I enjoyed reading Algorithm so much that I would highly recommend it to science fiction and dystopian readers. One-click your copy of Algorithm today!

Misuse of a Miracle . . .

Nanovax was the panacea of the world, bringing hope to all citizens! There would be no more disease, injuries would quickly heal, life would be radically improved! Lieutenant Brian Goff was the first to be injected, and the miracle cure did everything it had promised. His war wounds healed. But while his daughter played in the park as he watched, something started happening to him. Extra code secretly had been added to enable Nanovax as a predictive resource for revealing potential terrorists. The code activated in Brian, the algorithm able to determine what an individual would do “with certainty”. This code would wipe out terrorists before they could harm society. The news reported AS FACT what “could have happened if not stopped by Nanovax”, as if it actually occurred. Questions were ignored as Nanovax was praised for saving so many lives. Brian Goff was just tagged as a terrorist and a threat. His nervous system was taken under control by his nanobots. He could no longer move any part of his body, nor turn his head to spot his daughter. There was no appeal process once this terrorist judgment was made. He was taken away to be dealt with, and even more frightening, his daughter has been taken by the government. How will he save her? And how will he save himself?

Then Dr. John Larson, co-creator of Nanovax, and Brian’s reportedly dead military comrade, Bone Crusher (“Keith”), rescued Brian, revised him, and told him the truth. This was a far bigger issue than anyone knew – and it was just beginning! This exciting “reading” experience is enhanced by the skillful narrator of the audiobook version, Miles Meili. He does a great job with the voices to personalize the story and make it easy for the listener to get an accurate impression of what each character is like. It helps to set the mood, engage the tension, familiarize the characters, and offers a pleasant way to “read” and enjoy the book.

I have so much respect for the author after hearing this book. It manages to be a SciFi read but is completely plausible, given current events and … the ‘fiction’ part could be debated if a few details were switched with current events.

Regardless of this and anyone’s beliefs pertaining to current events: this is an action-packed, thrilling read and the author manages to set up an entire world, but still keep it a pretty quick read. It’s fairly short, but also extremely fast-paced.

I recommend this author to everyone—I’ve now read a few different works and it seems Monroe can pull off any genre he wants to.

Very well done.
Am interested in reading on in this world, based on this installment.

4 stars.

Initially, I was struck by coarse language, both in expletives and 'unnecessary sexual discussion.' I wasn't sure I'd be able to continue. But I received a copy of Algorithm in exchange for an honest review, so I wanted to complete the story. I am glad I did (rare objectionable material aside).

The story premise, with a worldwide brain-infecting nanobot network, was amazing. The science and explanation behind the premise was intriguing. The characters were all unique and well-developed. I listened to the audiobook, and the voice narrator had original voices for each character as well. The listening experience was very pleasurable.

The story plot moved forward like an action movie, and the character motivations were flushed-out to integrate with the plot. If you like psychological sci-fi movies like Gattaca or Minority Report, you'll enjoy Algorithm.

What happens when the very technology that is meant to save you turns against you? If you are our hero you fight back as freedom for all humanity lies in the balance.

This is book one of the series. A really good place to start.

This is a science fiction story with a bit of cyberpunk and dystopia thrown in. The story is very well written and fairly easy to read. I say only fairly because there is a lot going on here and it occasionally takes some effort to keep things straight. Both the characters and the setting are well done with plenty of detail that brings things to life. The plot is fast paced and includes plenty of actions as well as twists and turns so there is never a dull moment. Overall, it was a very exciting read and I definitely look forward to seeing the next book.

Highly recommended

Lieutenant Brian Goff should have died in Mosul when an IED blew the lightly armored bus upside down that he and his Marine detail were in. After his wife died, Brian became a single parent to his now 7-year-old Susie. Dr. Flat also recently lost his wife and he is very bitter and angry, so angry that he wants to remove all emotion from everyone using the nanobots like a collective. When Brian is tagged as a terrorist due to a flashback, and his daughter disappearing, he decides to fight with all he has to save the country as well as himself and his daughter. This story has plenty of action of various kinds. Highly recommended.

Algorithm is the first book in dystopian, sci-fi, thriller series - Nanoverse. We're introduced to Brian who is an ex-soldier who experiences PTSD. In the span of several hours, 15 terrorist attacks take place. The Nanovax (nanobots that literally swim in your blood) was created to end death and disease and heal people but things take a different turn. The military has different plans for the Nanovax - they're predicting human behaviors and finding out who the "bad guys" are before they can do anything. They tell the public that they are using the tech to track terrorists using an algorithm. During a PTSD episode, Brian is thought to be a terrorist because of how the Nanos are interpreting his behavior. All in all, it's not a book I would typically pick for myself to read but I really did enjoy it and can't wait to read the second one!

In Algorithm by Theophilus Monroe that I received through StoryOrigin that I am willingly reviewing, Nanovax was supposed to be the worlds salvation, making Death and disease obsolete and through the same technology, through an algorithm, to thwart terrorists by predicting human behaviors. Lieutenant Brian Goff received the first injection and became the face of Nanovax, until the algorithm identified him, wrongly, as a potential terrorist. Also the one that caused this has his daughter. Will he be able to rescue his daughter and be able to prove his innocence? I loved this book and definitely recommend. This book is available on Amazon

Change a couple of details (RNA vaccines vs Nanobot vaccines) and this could be the future that some anti-vaxxers warn against. Abuse of power, false imprisonment, one-sided (biased) media, and out-of-control politicians and "scientists". Think it couldn't happen? Then your information sources are lying to you - the world is already 3/4 of the way to this scenario. Nanobots exist, DNA and RNA modifications exist. Read the book and think about how it relates to the events since Jan 2020 and if it doesn't frighten you, your brainwashing is mostly complete.

I thought the storyline was so well thought out and written that the whole thing was very well done in my opinon. When I received this book I was able to read it from the very beginning to the very end and thought this was a good read and I enjoyed it very much in my opinon. I thought the character built up as it was a very good fit to the overall story and made it a better read in my opinon. I receieved this book for free thru an Advanced Reveiw Copy, ARC, with an honest review freely given.

Are the Final Days upon us? This novel feels like the popular concept of the precursor to the End of Days, using nanotechnology instead of microchips or brands. The painful thing is that I can see how an otherwise good person would be inspired to aspire to usurp the powers of God. It is a good thing that otherwise normal flawed humans can also aspire to stand up against usurpers like that. I particularly like the character of Ezra - devout Catholic priest ninja. So cool!

I received an ARC from the author and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

🌐🤖 Good start to dystopia/sci fi series.

Kansas City , 2032 :

Brian had taken his daughter Susie to the park on a beautiful sunny day.

There was a detonation, then silence and darkness.
Brian no longer felt anything...

--------------

An action-packed dystopian/sci fi novel that reads quickly and in which the main character struggles with something beyond him...

I don’t know why, but I absolutely failed to get attached to the characters, yet the story was interesting.

I’m pleasantly surprised by the author’s great writing palette.

A book for fans of the genre.

Everyone has been vaccinated with nanobots that keep them healthy, but Brian Goff, retired marine, finds out that there is a sinister side to these nanobots.

A loud bang triggers a PTSD attack, which scrambles his nanobots and he's declared a terrorist and immediatley immobilised and detained.

He now has to prove his innocence with the help of the resistance and try to save his daughter from the mad scientist that has taken his daughter.

Fast paced and the storyline flows really well.

This is a new series by Monroe. It has a sort of Minority Report/Matrix vibe to it while mixing some modern issues in. Monroe is an excellent storyteller who can create complex characters that you would think you wouldn't relate with and then before you know it you've consumed the whole book and are begging for more. This dystopian does not disappoint. I volunteered to read this book via Booksprout.

Brian got a second chance at life but then everything goes wrong. I enjoyed this story set in a future where science has given everyone a golden future until something goes wrong. Brian goes from a father to a rebel fighting for his life and for the freedom of all. A great techno futuristic novel with suspense and action that grabbed my attention and kept me reading to see if Brian would end up saving himself and his daughter. It had great characters that kept me guessing and reading.

I enjoyed this dystopian Sci-Fi thriller. The premise was diverting. The characters were complicated. The story was action-filled. My only complaint was that it was too short. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. I recommend this series to others who enjoy this genre. Miles Meili's narration was fine and his voice was pleasant. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

This a great start to a new series. Certainly different that this authors previous work that’s for sure. Different but in a good way, this Is in the future whereas the other books were back in time. I enjoyed this immensely. If life hadn’t have intervened I wouldn’t have put it down at all till the end. Highly recommended.

The injection was supposed to improve things and he was the first to get it but now he is seen as the enemy. Why the change in attitude? What has he done? Is it the affects of the injection? See just what is going on

Future technology at it’s finest or is it? Death or immortality for all? So different from his other books but wow what a great futuristic story. I mean this all seems doable. Awesome characters with suspense, action and keeps you guessing.
