Her self esteem had her trashed

Everyone in her life told her she couldn't do a dang thing but write songs and stick to that. With parents like Lena's, she didn't need enemies. They were leeches and did nothing to support their daughter and her career. Let's not talk about that ex of hers. Thank goodness she got some sense to get away from him. If you ask me, he was the reason her creativity was in a stall. It wasn't until she came to Texas hill country to get her groove back and fall in love with Gabriel Grey Wolf Townsend that everything started to click for her. It took her falling in real love for her writing juices to flow.

This was a great read. Poor Lena had been used by people that should have had her back. I loved reading how she transformed from a faltering woman to a confident self-assured woman under the love of her Wolf. My heart broke for Gabe when Lena left to protect him, unbeknownst to him. She tried her best to resist the Wolf, and everything to dissuade him, including meeting her crazy parents, but her muse was not giving in. He stood his ground, he wanted ALL of her. He did not want to be friends with benefits. He'd been there and done that in the past with other women. He knew what he wanted when he first saw her. He knew that she was his "future wife." They were so good for each other. They were each other's muses and Gabe wouldn't put up with NO ONE disrespecting her.

It's going to be interesting to read Ace and Savannah's story and why he's so grumpy. What happened to them? I can't wait to read it. Don't take too long Tiffany.

These Townsend men are the stuff of dreams and Grey Wolf was no different. Even when Lena was engaged to someone else, he was protective and devoted. And I couldn’t help but smile when he introduced her to his family as his future wife.

Lena was surrounded by so many snakes and leeches. She suffered mental and emotional abuse for so many years that it blocked her happiness and creativity. Then came an unapologetic alpha wolf saving her from being a person she no longer recognized.

I still don’t understand why she didn’t discuss the blackmailing with Gabriel.

I’m also upset that the engagement scene was skipped and in order to experience the moment I have to join a mailing list. 4 Stars.

Tiffany did it again!!!!!

I have been waiting for this story and Ms. Patterson did not disappoint.

Where do I begin….. the Townsend protectiveness is a thing to be reckoned with.

Lena and Gabe healed each other. They learned to trust and love again. Lena is beyond talented and had vultures around her but when she came into her power…. It was a thing of beauty.
Gabe wounded and holding on to grief but that didn’t stop him from being a wolf when it came to protecting the people he loves. In the process he healed.

Ace is up next……

Loved It!!!

I like this series. I love the brothers and their heritage. Although Lena seemed a little too clueless for a woman of her age (which was never really disclosed), I'm glad to see she came out on the top in the end

On the fence

So Jodi & micah book was much better. I liked Gabe, as usual the man is supportive, sexy & endearing. Lena on the other hand had about as much agency as a child bride. There's no way this woman pulled a lefteye on anybody. Pretending the damsel in distress is an interesting plot point is tough in 2021. As readers we are only allowed to adore the male leads because the women are always so needy & self loathing. Lena allowing EVERYBODY to bully her & laying down and taking it when nate showed up was so disappointing. Where was the growth? What did she learn about herself while in Texas? Knowing Gabe's brother is a P.I., she still allowed herself to blackmailed I guess, indefinitely, because she had no plan to fix. Gabe should've been turned off by that. Who wants a partner that although famous doesn't have an ounce of power & allow folks to manipulate her as they chose. She was incapable of solving any problems on her own. Maybe it's respectability politics but was is it OK for the men to be violent but not the women. Why didn't she smack that assistance? Who wants to be with a person who always needs rescuing?!

The Wolf And The Singer

Another wonderful series from Ms Patterson, keep them coming. I love Gabe ! One thing about the Townsends men, when they want something or someone they are relentless, they don’t stop until they get it, and they love hard.
Nate, you got what you deserved and that traitorous snake of a woman ( no name bc of spoilers).
As for her parents i am glad they finally get their crap together, kind of… they were a disgrace!
I want me a Townsend boo!
great read!!
Can’t wait for Ace’s story!

I think Gabe is my New WMB

Gabe, wow he is so alpha male unless he is dealing with Lena. Lena needed to grown a pair and woman-up to all the vultures in her life. I'm happy with the pace and the storyline. Gabe was alpha but he allowed his softer side to woo Lena into his Wolf snare... A good IR story

All of me

Lena being a superstar never knowing who she can trust not even her own parents. But after meeting the fiercely protective and oh so alpha Gabe she thinks because of her past she is incapable of love and having someone love her back. She found kind Gabe is not like anyone she had met or dated in the past and when he set is mind to claiming his woman nothing and no-one will stand in his way. I enjoyed reading this book and pretty much everything I read from this author so far. I am now waiting for the release of Ace's story.

such a great read

I throughly enjoyed this book, I just love this authors style of writing - it’s honestly perfection. The mix of emotion, detail, Native American aspects, curvy characters, the suspenseful scenes and the hot AF alpha men.
I was completely captivated from the very beginning and couldn’t put it down, was the perfect book to be reading on my holidays - thanks and I can’t wait to read Ace’s story next

We are back down south for our latest adventure courtesy of Texas Townsends. For the 2nd book, we dive in with Gabe “Wolf” Townsend. He makes his grand appearance in his older brother Micah’s story. Of course, his leading lady is Singer Lena Clarkson. I just knew Gabe would give Lena a run for her money and was happy to report I was correct. However, Lena did have apprehension at first especially in her last relationship with her toxic Ex-Fiancé and Manager Nate. As for Gabe, he has his own set of issues including in the relationship department. Lena begins to let her guard down with Gabe. Gabe begins to deal with past grief with the help of Lena. This dynamic is what makes their pairing interesting. Of course, there was a share of drama to resolve as well. Of course, I can’t forget about the appearance of some of our favorite characters from the 1st book along with new characters. I still have a few questions especially about Lena’s cousin Rayven. A few characters also made my “list”. Other than I enjoyed the story and looking forward to learning more about Ace’s story.

Y’all know what I hate as much (if not more) than the miscommunication trope? The "sacrifice" trope. And not sacrifice in the sense that I die for you bc that can be actually done in a good way.

No

The "i get blackmailed by someone to break up with your or they ruin your career and instead of talking to you I decide to leave you whereas you probably already even have a solution to this issue" type of sacrifice. And it’s always the fmc doing this kinda nonsense.

The 90% breakup is already something that annoys me beyond belief, but this is the worst way to do it and almost always make me detest the book.

This book first of all was so bad on itself. The mc’s had no chemistry it was so boring, the fmc was like a doormat and her trust issues (trusting other ppl) got on my damn nerves. The fact that the 🍆 was what cured her writer’s block is just so damn laughable. I hung on just long enough to see how the shit ends, imagine my profound disappointment when the "sacrifice" plot came up.
Like turn the lights off let’s just go to sleep

Didn’t even bother reading the rest.

I can see why Lena has no self confidence, between her parents and Nate she was fighting an uphill battle.

Gabriel was relentless but in a good way.

I’m still not sure what’s going on with Rayven and while she left so abruptly but something tells me there will be a book with her and Bass I n the future.

That fingering while driving bit was dangerous, I do not co-sign

Did I already mention how trash Lena’s parents are? They disgust me.

I didn’t like Gabe getting mad with her or Lena apologizing for speaking to Nate on the phone. She didn’t know it was him. Gave always want his gd way and it’s getting on my nerves.

She should’ve told Gabe instead of letting Nate blackmail her.

Something told me Demetria wasn’t shit. That she was linked up with Nate somehow.

Nate got that ass whooped like he needed. Demetria got away without hers.

I love the transformation in Lena. She gained confidence in herself. That was partly due to Gabe. A good partner builds you up, which what he always did. Lena brought out the softer side in Gabe. They complimented each other well.

Wolfs got you now

I enjoyed this book.

Lena was stuck in a jacked up relationship with a man who was her man, manager, and signed to his label. 3 strikes - locked up and he won’t let her out! She keeps putting herself in these embarrassing situations that ALWAYS gets exposed on social media. She’s out there doing the fool live and direct. Over this trash dude.
Gabe is the wolf that never lets you see him sweat. Cool, calm, and collected. He’s about his sports management and gym business. He trusts his gut instincts.
A declaration of “she’s my wife” and we are on this ride with the both of them to either make the declaration fact or fiction.

I personally was all in until she let the trash into her head. These women characters always get the notion of protecting my man by not telling him is better than just telling him. I became annoyed. Especially with the resources Wolf has at his disposal that she is aware of.
I still gave it 5 stars because the writing was amazing and I loved Gabe best of all them Townsends!

I was in love with Lena and Gabe's relationship. They were 2 successful, loyal, and driven individuals who's fate was intertwined the moment they met. They both suffered betrayals by someone who they believed they loved, and feared opening their hearts. However the moment the Grey Wolf encountered Cin the second time at his brothers wedding he knew that this woman would be his wife, and openly voiced this.
Gabe was very intuitive and trusted deep down that this woman was it for him, and once she was prepared to give him all of herself with no reservations he would prove that it was meant to be. Lena was sadly mistreated, bullied, and taken advantage of from her parents to her ex-fiancée. She had very little self worth and very few loyal and honest people in her corner. Opening her heart to Gabe gave her a complete new lease on life, and allowed her be loved the way she deserved.
Experiencing their journey to their HEA was beautiful with a few bumps in the road, but as always Tiffany Patterson gave us unforgettable characters and a beautiful story!

loved Gabe!

I’ve been a fan of the townsends since book one with the originals. Loved how Tiffany has branched off with the cousins. Gabe was dreamy and I expected nothing less. My 4 star rating came from Lena. A heavy sigh for her. Personally I’m really growing tired of heroines feeling like they deserve answers to everything. Like trust is something so easily to give. She trusted that snake Nate and her snake assistant but wanted to throw her weight when Gabe didn’t want to explain who the letter she found in his drawer came from. Then to force him to read it at his party. Yeah it brought closer but she’s too darn nosey for me. Like ma’am!! Where’s that same energy with your disrespectful mooching parents or with Nate. I truly hate the narrative of “miscommunication” and blackmail being the reason why heroines run because they’re “protecting” their lover 🙄😒hallmark has enough of those plots! And what happened with her cousin Ray?? She left and never came back. Overall I’m still a Tiffany Patterson fan❤️

I like Tiffany Patterson but this was disappointing…

If you like love stories with passion, joy and some hot scenes thrown in, don’t read this book. The writing isn’t terrible, but after reading the 1st book in this series, I didn’t really want to continue to the next, but I did. I shouldn’t have.
It was hard to get into it and relate to the main character.
I hate to think there are women actually this dumb? or vulnerable?when it comes to the opposite sex, friends and family. I thought it would get better but at 90% of the book completed she was still doing the same stupid crap. Then she got slapped by a man. I just can’t…this book is predictable, yet parts completely unbelievable and cringe worthy.
On another note…too bad b/c the male character was portrayed as “fine” with so much possibility that wasn’t written to its full potential.
Unlike the main character in this book, I learned my lesson…I will NOT be reading the 3rd installment in this series.

Yassss 👏👏👏 MS. Patterson, you did this one!!!

This was perfect and the bomb.
Only issue to me was the fact that Lena was supposed to be this superstar, and everything but she “NEVER” had security, “NEVER” had one paparazzi follow her or anything like that. She was just moving like any one of us “normal” person while she has had #1 songs and albums and go on tour, DUH 🙄!!!! And even Gabriel was low key… so what was it? Not enough research or not essential? But then if it’s any one of these questions, the most I can say is if you cant do the proper research then DO NOT write with a celebrity in mind, that’s all!!!!
Nevertheless this didn’t actually remove from how cute, nice, and wonderful the story was.

Townsend boys did it agian

"When a wolf locks his attention on you, there's very little you can do to get away from him"

This sentence is the most accurate words I've ever read when discussing Gabriel.

Gabriel who is known as Grey Wolf is literally a wolf following after his prey, Lena. Lena really had no chance getting away from him. As he said at his oldest brother wedding, she is his future wife.

Damn, and what a claim that was. Makes you wish you got a taste of that energy that he was putting out.

Now Lena she really gave Gabriel a run for his money. She had an attitude with him, snapping back at him when he push at her. And even told him that under no circumstances was he going to be with her.

Lol it was so much fun to watch Gabriel push boundaries with Lena, and watch her push back until he finally snag her.

Now I wanna discuss a couple people that left disliking them from day one. Let's start with Lena Assistant. Lena tells her under no circumstances to give her number to her parents, OR Nate her ex-fiancee/manager. But they all seems to have it and etc. This has made me very suspicious of her, as well as not like her at all. She's just give me bad vibes and I don't trust her.

2nd person is Nate himself. What a complete jerk! I kept looking for the day when Gabriel put hands on him. It seems to be the Townsend MO. They go hard for there Woman and family and I couldn't wait!

3rdly Lena Parents. They are some ignorant people and Lena should've cut them off a long time ago. I know people are like forgive and forget. But they should've had something happen to them so they understand their wrongs. But what do I know. Just that I believe in karma and I feel like they haven't gotten theirs at all!

Other then that I hope, hope, HOPE that Tiffany Patterson makes a book for Gabriel best friend/business partner Penton. As well as his older brother as well.

There is a juicy story there just waiting to come out. And I'm praying, PRAYING 🙏🏽 for them to have their own book. Please, PLEASE have a book for them.

So let's rap of this review, I really enjoy this book found myself trying to read it whenever I can. I really enjoy this book and I believe so will others.

Slow and Sweet

*****Spoilers*****

I'm on the fence but grudgingly tip this one to a 3. The book was slow going, skipping through time at the pace of weeks sometimes. Lena is a music artist who meets Gabe while out with her fiance and Gabe is knocked off his feet. Nine months later, after Lena dumps her no good boyfriend, they run into one another again at his brother's wedding to her former publicist. Lena is in town to stay for a while because she has writer's block and wants a change of scenery from LA to hopefully get her in a good place to finish her album. What she gets is the inspiration she's looking for and more in a relationship with Gabe.

At times I felt bad for Lena because even though she's a superstar, her self esteem is in the toilet after years with her verbally abusive fiance Nate. Nate planted seeds of doubt that Lena is slow to shed but Gabe is patient enough to deal with it and lift her up in the process. At one point, Nate comes back around to threaten Lena and she ends things with Gabe in an attempt to keep Gabe's business intact. Eye roll for me here when Lena could've spoken to Gabe about it. They unnecessarily spend time apart after she dumps Gabe but I couldn't help wondering where Lena's support system was. Even if it was just a few people here and there who were on her side she could've confided in, that would've been more realistic than her trying to go it alone against Nate's blackmail. The emotions aren't really felt I thought when it came to Lena and Gabe but the story was still sweet for the most part.

Good but 3.5 stars

The book was enjoyable as well as the love story. However a few things made it unbelievable to me.
Why do we always have to have this lack of trust and communication?
If Lena is such a known singer and has issues with her manager, it felt unbelievable to me that she wouldn’t have ask her lawyers for help. I understand that she might not want to involve Micah but Jodi or another PI firm would have been best placed to help her find “dirt” on her ex or a PR firm to spin the story with Gabe. For someone who has been in the business for 12 years and is almost 30 years old, she came across as too naive and gullible.
Secondly, as much as I enjoy the build up of their relationship, it seems to me that the true test would have been with them maintaining a relationship while she’s promoting her album and on tour. This part stayed unanswered with the fairytale ending of her returning to live in Texas.
Lastly I know it’s a novel, however the whole she was producing her music alone is unbelievable. It’s not how the music industry works, unless it’s an internet success.

Enjoyable

Great sequel in the series, which focuses on Gabe, Micah’s younger brother and Lena, a former PR client of Jodi. Lena is a singer who has just broken up with her scheming, no good manager/fiancé but owes him one more album in her contract with him. She goes to Texas to see if she can break her writers block. Gabe, being a true Townsend, declares Lena is gonna be his wife the first time he lays eyes on her. They have incredible chemistry but they first have to get thru the baggage they both have from prior relationships. The author does a good job developing the characters and the plot. My only complaint is Lena’s insecurities, while understandable, began to get on my nerves after awhile. She needed to stand up to Nate, her manager, and stop letting him emotionally abuse her and take advantage of her. Can’t wait to read Ace’s story.

⭐️⭐️⭐️

While I didn’t love this as much as previous works from this author, I also definitely didn’t hate it. I would say, this was a strong 3 stars. Chapter 1 really captured my attention, I love all the introductory stuff about the characters. The idea of a R&B star falling for a badass MMA fighter sounded great. Add it in the Townsend family swag and I just knew it would be a solid 5 star read.

However, something was missing. It could most definitely be a case of it’s me and not the book. But there was a missing element here. All the right ingredients were present and something about them didn’t mesh well.

It was great to have glimpses of Micah and Jodi. I love Joel!! And can’t wait to read Ace’s story.

Trust Issues

Lena Clarkson is trying her best to write the album that gets her out of her contract with her terrible ex. Gabriel Townsend is trying his best to be Lena’s muse. However, can they learn to trust each other enough to find happiness?

I was a bit hesitant to get back to the Townsends because I felt like I had overbinged with the first set. I’m happy I brought myself back to it.

I thought both Lena and Gabriel had trust issues, and I like that both sets were addressed adequately. I liked that Gabriel was serious about Lena from the jump. I like that Lena allowed herself to be happy with Gabriel. It was lovely.

If you like girls finding themselves and true love out in the country, this is for you.

Loved it

I love Tiffany Patterson's books and Gabe' story is another good one. Of course Aaron's Patience is my favorite and Gabe' s story has to be my 2nd favorite. Gabe was such an alpha male and I loved his swag and confidence. I liked Lena, but just wished she had more of a backbone when dealing with Nate and her parents. I didn't like how Lena gave everyone so much power over her to the point that no one knew who she really was especially her parents. I am glad that Gabe was patience with Lena and taught her how to have more confidence in herself along with taking charge of her life. This is definitely a reread because it was that good.

So I am reading this whole series so that I am caught up on all the mentions of Chael and Chance so that I am prepared for the release of Wanted in September. Lena and Gabriel may be my favorite couple so far when compared to Micah and Jodi. I liked that Wolf was an MMA fighter because that reminded me of No Consequences and the underground fighting done in the Townsends series. I also enjoyed how all the brothers have Apache names. Gabriel's nickname being wolf made me think of Chael and Chance. Overall, I enjoyed this book. I kinda wished that Nate got more of what was coming to him but hey everyone is Aaron Townsend, lol. On to the next book in the series.

Giving Your All!!!

This book was off the charts good!!! I absolutely love the chemistry between Gabriel and Lena, it was really hot!!! Gabriel knew that Lena was his future and he wouldn't be cheated with anything less than her all. Lena has been through alot in her life and in her career. She didn't know that she was willing to give all of herself to have a chance at having the love of a lifetime. However, she also knows that Gabriel would not settle anything less than her all!!
