Years ago, Morgan and his team entered the Tower of Power, by the time they left, their raid group was reduced to only a handful of its members. They had faced the Tower and forces that they were never supposed to know about, and they had paid a high price to survive, but they had prevailed. They faced the enemy of the Great Lord, Oxylus, and they had defeated them.
Within the Tower they had learned the secrets and achieved great power. But now, they were longer in the Tower, and the world on the outside was different than what they had faced in the Tower. Morgan had been given a choice, to stay in the Tower or to leave the World and join his father—Oxylus. He had chosen to stay with his friends, to try and inspire the world to achieve the same power that he had. The power that the Great Lord had created this entire World to find.
Now, a new threat comes for the Guilds, and Morgan and his friends are thrown straight into it. Morgan might not have been able to find a way to achieve his goal, but with a new threat on the horizon, perhaps there would be more opportunities for him to show them what all of them could achieve.

Reading this was as simple as it should have been. It’s been ~18 months since the previous novel, which I thought was the end. I didn’t recognize most of the characters until partway through, and the real story didn’t get started until ~40%. This was a weird form of postscript on the Tower of Power series and setup for a new series. Which doesn’t really make for a great *novel*.
Clean prose.
If you’ve read the series, then you should finish it. But you might want to re-read the last half of the previous book to get you better prepared.
I really enjoyed this book as I did not want to put it down. The world building is interesting and the story development is very interesting. Overall I enjoyed it very much.
Other series by this author were a total letdown when later in the series the author changed writing styles abruptly and went from normal LITRPG to LGBTQ fanfic. Changing the sexuality of most of the characters in a series after portraying them as straight for the previous books in the series is messed up.
So while they/them/their didn't do that yet in this series, I'm just gonna quit while I'm ahead, since there has been plenty of hints that it may go that direction, and I have plenty of other LITRPG to read from authors I trust.
I wasn’t sure how this series would continue after the last book and I figured we would see the characters again but this book was a good way to continue by skipping some time and introducing new threats. This series could probably go a few more books but looks like it will be resolved soon
This book isn't quite short enough to be a novella, but it's quite short by the standards of LitRPG. The protagonist has diverged so far from human as to be unrelatable. The plot is rudimentary. And the action is difficult to follow.
I won't speculate as to why this series has gone downhill so fast, but I see no reason to continue.
While I have enjoyed the series between this book and its predecessor there's too much random death and over all character misery to really be enjoyable anymore.
This book is more of a half-step to lay the framework for the next novel. After the previous book, the rules changed and it becomes necessary for everyone to adapt to what is coming.
I enjoyed this book. I was a little surprised it was written though. At the end of the last book I thought everything was wrapped up nicely. It left room for another book but there didn't need to be one. It was a little slow getting back into the series. The story picks up 5 years after the group left the tower and it had been almost 2 years since the last book came out so it took a while to get back into it. Since the group knows about the purpose of the tower and the MC has achieved this purpose he has spent the last 5 years trying to get the other people of the world to achieve this same goal with no luck. The experiment has now changed and things are happening in this new world. The monsters are getting bolder and the other lands that were blocked off from each other are now open. One such group has arrived from another continent and is trying to invade. The rules they lived under for their experiment are different from the rules the people on this continent lived by. The group is the highest level on the continent and they are sent to figure out about the situation. Overall I enjoyed the book by the end. It did feel like it should have been a post Towers of Power new series than a continuation of the Towers of Power.
More of the same and what more could you ask for. More compelling story more exciting adventures you don’t see a lot of Leveling in this book like you did previously but there’s a reason for that and you will read it and it makes sense. When I can say is the story definitely unfolds I mean from the beginning way back at book number one we did not see things go in this way perhaps that is what is most likable about this book in the story overall things don’t go the way you would expect them to go things don’t follow the usual tropes the usual ideas we have been presented with. Remember we were told early on anyone can die that’s not a spoiler we were just presented with the idea that strong characters can be killed by weaker characters you don’t see that in many books. Just strap yourself and you will plow through this one and enjoy it can’t wait for the next.
This book was kind of a disappointment, I don't really know about this series anymore. It has so much promise, so much potential, the best way to describe this would be edging , you almost get there but not quite...and on top of that it was short AF...I started reading when I woke up (@ 4.30am) and went to drop kid and wife off, I was still done before work started at 9am...Ill read 1 more book and abandon the series if it keeps the same momentum. I swear, I feel the author was tied to a chair and forced to write this before being allowed to get up.
Book 6 of the Tower of Power series. This bridge book opens the new threat, introduces us to them and sets our heroes into a position where they can compete with a new and worse threat. That said there is plenty of action and we do get a little more insight into the bigger picture. The stat blocks are kept to a minimum but are enough to keep the flavor of LitRPG. Excited to see where this series takes us moving forward.
It's been 5 years since the events of the last novel. Monsters have gotten stronger, but Morgan et al are the strongest on their continent. Invaders have come to the coast and so they go
Morgan learns a soul attack and accidentally triggers the 7th step on his friends and some enemies. Oh and the secret bad guy hiding inside someone starts to regain power, but it is still a mystery
Meh

Good next installment of Morgan's journey. Other nations invade, blah blah. Morgan has new powers and forms and the fight scenes are cool. Oh someone's soul is devoured.
I had just started to think about this series and if another book had come out. Non stop action and more forms. Can’t ask for more than that. Well maybe for the books to be longer lol
The series continues to deliver in massive ways! I love the character growth, the ch ages and twists that came with the chaos aspect and the power increases and forms of Morgan! Can’t wait for the next!!
Nicely done. I have to admit I was feeling like this series had lost it's way in previous offerings but I think this gets right back on track; I can't wait to read the next one and hope the author keeps this metaverse going in some form.
A 7hr audio book. Understanding the bigger picture of that the most powerful people in this series are after makes little sense. The little gods are not very smart for ppl who have lived for longer then a universe of time. But overall I did enjoy this part, is this the last book of the series?
Things are changing up. And that is a good thing. Takes the story in a bit of a different direction. And sets up the next book as well. Still enjoying the story. Still following the progression. I want to see what comes next.
Another good entry. The story and pace change a bit here. The direction that I thought the series was taking ended up being wrong. Things might end up going on a lot longer than I expected with these changes.
Besides the really long wait for this book ,it was very enjoyable, I look forward to reading the next book in the series even though it is going to be the last .
Morgan continues to try to awaken the spirit warrior in his companions when some surprises come his way. Lots of action, some more background info about Oxylus... Enjoyable!
