***** A message From To address reviews received. This book was thoroughly and completely re-edited and republished on 2-2-2022. This book reads smooth as silk and purrs softer than a kitten. The ebb and flow is flawless. It rumbles like a motor boat, in just the right way. It will tickle your deepest desires and fantasies.
This is a stand alone steamy science fiction romance. No cliffhangers, no cheating, HEA happily-ever-after ending included. Steamy scenes Included.
I received a free copy of this book and held it for a while. I wasn’t sure if I would like it because the writing style was so different from what I’m used to. Today I picked it up and said I would just power through because after all, the writer put herself out there and has to expect good and bad reviews. I honestly thought I wouldn’t like it, probably wouldn’t finish it either. But as I read I became invested in the story and the main characters. It has action, an antagonist, lots of sexy times and a HEA. I actually enjoyed it very much and would read more by the writer based on the content and not the writing style.
Blutb: I hate to say I’m right. Aliens exist. I’m not crazy. I’m also not fooled by this artificial camouflage. My name is Brittany Kekoa. I’ve been studying the sky for years. I’m the last one working at the Mauna Kea observatory in Hawaii. My best friend June thinks I’m spending too much time alone staring at the sky all night repeatedly. She’s right about that. But when she tells me I captured pictures of random floating ‘space junk’, I laugh out loud. They are some sort of space ships. I can almost see the faces behind the windshield. I try selling the pictures to the tabloid’s. And made some aliens really mad. So mad, they came for me. There is something ‘off’ to say the least about me hero. He looks like a clean cut baby face military guy. He’s supposed to be saving me from these bad lizard alien jerks that are looking for me and my research. Instead, we are hiding in a closet, and kissing, They are breaking down doors trying to find us. Something falls off the shelf and my world goes black, but not before seeing a big blue naked alien. With huge horns. Might I also mention add he has rippling stomach muscles for days. And a V that leads directly to his rock hard you-know-what. Some might find him terrifying, I think he’s sexy. I wake up in a hospital. No one will tell me where I am. I want to know the truth. I want to see that big blue hunk again, I’m disappointed when he doesn’t show up. Did I suffer a head injury and imagine the whole thing? Once I get all the answers I need, I refuse to go home. I’m a missing person on Earth now. Everything that happens next is all my fault. My hero, his best friend and I are all held against our will on the elder’s ship, more accurately, a floating city. I watch the alien version of news. A prince has been arrested for the same crimes as my hero. Except he isn’t a prince. Is he? You think I would notice he is the highest crown prince.
I bought the entire series before reading the first book...
BIG mistake. I really like the world building and the story's plot, but please stop with the unnecessary sex scenes!! I enjoy a well written love scene that happens organically and moves the story, as well as character development, forward. But gratuitous sex for the sake of gratuitous sex interrupts the flow of the story and is just boring. When I can skip over entire sections of the story without losing the plotline, then those scenes were an interruption to the story. This author is not the only one writing superfluous sex scenes; however, it is a trend I really wish would go away. Without the distraction of the myriad sex scenes I would have given this 4 stars. As it is, I have these other ebooks in the series I'm not sure they are worth the effort to read... I'm still debating...
I almost stopped reading this book. At first it was annoying. A lot of repeats. Ragnar would tell his version and then Brittany would tell her version. The excitement finally picked up about mid story. Ragnar proved he wasn’t some spoiled prince. He treated his crew with respect and didn’t let them them treat him as a prince but a commanding officer. Loved when they put his mom to shame. I thought he recognize Brittany by pure attraction not the sound of her shoes. Good read
I enjoyed the idea of this book, but was disappointed in the number of typos and the way in which different segments ended and a new paragraph started that was meant to be a day or two later. It was somewhat disjointed because of that. Also, the author wrote in very short sentences. Some were only around four or five words long. I feel that the author could have spent a little longer fine-tuning the book, which would have improved it greatly. However, I did enjoy it.
This is a Great story but way too long winded 😕. I truly enjoyed reading this story, there's just too much unnecessary context, so I plan on reading one more of these books, hoping that Snow gets a better editor 😁. Thanks Snow, I truly believe you're a Great writer, but you need to edit out some of the extended conversations 🤓.
From looking at the stars to finding love and laughter to friendship. To becoming queen of a planet to finding out that you are to become a mother as well as queen what a girl to do but love her man.I would like to say thank you for all your hard work and may fortune smile 😃on you always 😁
DNF'd it. The writing style is kinda weird, and also... When it says she called the tabloids, It meant The Tabloids, like all of them are a big company or something, and there's a boss who decides what all of them publish. AND they don't want UFO pictures because Fake. WTF? If everything else Is written like that, I won't waste my time.
What a feel good story !! I often found myself smiling while reading it. No abduction, no slavery, and no human treated like a Neanderthal. There is humor, angst, joy and fear to celebrate while reading. I want to read more of Ms Morningstar !!!!!
I had many problems and nearly gave up reading this book. Even though the story was good the sentences were short and choppy. There were many repetitive words and information that was just rearranged or even shortened. Sorry. Beautiful ending.
Brittany is a brilliant character who runs a telescope in Hawaii that she has upgraded herself. Ragnar is the commander of a ship keeping earth safe when he is tasked with saving Brittany. Yup, romance ensues.
