A few months back I read "Earth to Centauri: The First Journey" the first installment in Captain Anara - Antriksh series by Kumar L. I was fascinated by the level of sci-fi novel upgraded by Kumar L in Indian literature. In the genre of sci-fi or space fiction, Indian lacks quality and quantity of books Kumar L can fill that gap.
The last part ended with captain Anara leaving HuZryss with Joe & Lucy. They were coming back to Earth after a long journey. Unknown to them TruKifs went to an extream and started rebelling against Discat - RyHiza. TruKifs made a powerful weapon and a spaceship to attack the earth. Captain Anara's team got this warning message while they were still on the way to earth. On reaching earth she explained the situation to authorities.
Soon, the extraterrestrial terrorist entered the earth. Their plan was to leave an impact so strong that humans never thought of going back to HyZryss. Being an alien they took help of a human. A traitor was in for personal gain. I would recommend you to read the series to know what will happen to earth.
The writing style of Kuma is plain and straightforward. Where the first volume was more explanatory for the initial building block for series. This part is more filled with an action thriller. The author has tried to make readers visualize the futuristic world with advanced technologies & gadgets. He has thought about 70-80% scenarios as per future technologies.
I found some flaws in the plot
1) Suspense behind Biw. Can't explain exact details as I don't want to give spoilers
2) TrueKiff spaceship hidden on the dark side of the moon. But in the first part, it was discussed that human has already colonized the moon. So how come no one has seen a spaceship landing on the dark side of the moon
3) Tej was shown as an intelligent agent. They how come she did blunder of using Prana protocol when she knew target cannot be reached
4) Terrorist's easy entry & exit to the underground city of Shivaji Nagar
5) Terrorist used tons of earthen technology in traitor's absence
Well, it doesn't mean I didn't like the book, I just became more a fan who scrutinize plot in detail. You can find many such plots in Star Trek or Star Wars as well. In short, I liked the book and I am already a fan of captain Anara series.

The year is 2118, after the successful journey of Antariksh in interstellar space and reaching the Alpha Centauri star system Antariksh has become the first spaceship to reach another planet Huzryss four light-years away from sun. Captain Anara and her crew has returned to earth with proof that we are not alone but a civil war has broken out in the world they just left behind. And a cryptic message is warning Captain Anara of a deadly misson that might lead to an interstellar war.
Alien Hunt is the second book from 'Earth to Centauri' series. The story follows the repercussions after Captain Anara's journey to the new planet in the first book. Truth to be told I like this book more than the first book.
In this book the plot arrangements and the purpose is more enthralling than the first book. The theme as the title suggests is Alient Hunt and when the earth got threatened by our not so friendly neighbours, our government will launch operations to hunt them down but there's a twist in the story. This twist made the story more engrossing.
Unlike most of the Sci-Fi books I've tried this book doesn't feel outlandish as it has more practical thinking. I could truly visualise the whole situation while reading. The flow between the plots is smooth. In one line this book was so engaging and adventurous.

High adventure in deep space
I read and enjoyed the first book in the series. This book continues the adventures of Captain Anara and her crew as they try to uncover a traitor and prevent an interstellar war. As with the previous book it is well written and the techy jargon isn't overwhelming. I got a distinct feeling that this book is a launch pad for the next book so will need to wait and see how that one turns out. As with the first book, the pace is crisp, the narrative is easy to read, and the story twists and turns to keep the pages turning. Recommended.

Earth To Centauri: Alien Hunt is a craftily written sci-fi that opens the doors to a whole new world of thrill and enigma.
It contains everything – adventure, thrill, emotions, silence, and fantasy. It is a marvelous product of author’s literary prowess and praiseworthy inclination towards science. The space with all those spaceships, unimaginable beings, black holes, galaxy and everything that could not fit into our imagination has been developed and expressed very well. The novel draws the scenario of several years after from now. The way author envisages it engaged me.
It talks about Antariksh becoming the first spaceship from earth to make a journey to interstellar space and reach the planet HuZyrss, in the Alpha Centauri star system, four light-years from earth. After decades of searching, humankind had made contact with an alien civilization. The explanation revolving around any planet that has the necessary ingredients for life – water, oxygen, and a suitable temperature – would eventually be giving rise to living organisms is amazing. The only variable would be time, measured in eons, and possibly external factors that resulted in a particular species becoming dominant. The narrative silhouettes the friendship between human beings and the aliens.
The complete story doesn’t swallow you. In fact, bit by bit, you are drowned in the parallel universe. The author had given a lot of thought to penning it down. It reflects as we proceed further in the book.
The arresting narrative pulls you into the land of KifrWyss, HuZyrss, Truekif and our very dear Mother Earth. The author’s command over language is excellent. He exploits it well to bring out a subtle piece of informative literature on paper. The whole idea itself behind the novel is outstanding.
I would recommend this book to anyone who is a lot interested in sci-fi.

The alien invasion or space invasion is a common feature in science fiction stories or films in which extraterrestrials invade the Earth either to exterminate and supplant human life, enslave it under an intense state, steal the planet's resources or destroy the planet together.
"An Alien Hunt" is the second book in the series.
The first journey from Earth to interstellar space has been successful but it turns out to be the cause for the Alien revenge resulting in deadly attack where thirty million people's lives are in danger including one innocent newborn.
Anara and her crew must be fast to or else the failure to stop the attack would lead to a complete disaster.
The book is indeed a techno-thriller.
In the first part too, I found Lucy's character interesting and in this part too I found Lucy's character as innocent just like the newborn.
As the story proceeds, Readers can notice human side in an Alien.
There is fear, revenge, suspense, action, feelings, love and much more in this story.
The book tries to convey that irrespective of being Human or Alien, everyone holds emotions within.
The language was easy to understand.
The story is medium paced.
Narration was clear.
Book cover is suitable.
Overall a good read.

Captain Anara receives a cryptic message which warns her about the dispatch of mercenaries to earth. She have just couple of days to prevent this war. As they are trying to uncover the truth a traitor is unmasked and even captain Anara is under suspicion.
Will she be able to prove herself innocent?? Also can captain Anara and her team prevent this war and save 30 million people??
My opinion -
The cover of this book is good and the title is suitable for the story.
The language used is easy to understand. The narration style of the author is quite lucid.
Glossary is provided in this book also so it doesn't get confusing at all.
This is the second book of the earth to centurai series but you can totally read it as a standalone.

Earth to Centauri: Alien hunt by Kumar L is the second book in sci fi series. It follows adventure of captain Ananta and her crew. In this installment Ananra wants to prevent intergalletic war and in order to do that they first find traitor among them. Book is fast paced. Starts right with the action. Technical and space jargon isn't that difficult to understand. Once you get a hold of it you know what they are talking about. I read first part one few days before so my knowledge of lingo was pretty fresh and I got hold of it and plot quite easily.
It's pretty great book. Highly recommended for all.

Absolute fantasy!

It’s the book in Hindi language but I guess this is available in English also. This is the second part of the series but you can definitely directly read second part. But I have read in sequences and I loved the first part. It’s the sci fi genre book. I have rarely loved any sci fi genre book, but this series is one of my favourite. I will briefly summarise the blurb. As we can predict from title, the core concept of the book is around aliens. The present day in the book is in year 2118, the story has been set up mostly in different part of India. Like in previous book Captain Ananara is one of the lead characters. Caption Anara and other team members were returning after successfully completion of a project and they have been warned regarding a secret mission. Read the book to unfold further plot. As we can predict, the plot is definitely unique. All the chapters have been written like hour wise activities considering an event or activity. That is most difficult to write as the author has to be thorough with the story and timeline. So hats off to that part. The language of the book is lucid. All the concepts have been well explained and written after well research work. As always story is full of twists and turns. I am eagerly waiting to read more from the author. And I felt like I was watching a movie all the time. And definitely I would love to see one based on this. Overall good one. Recommended from my side.

The story proceeds from where it left off in the main book 'Earth To Centurai'. Commander Anara and her team are returning to earth after they discovered life on HuZryss with Lucy and Joe (Two outsiders from HuZryss) on the spaceship called 'Antariksh'. However, the TrueKifs(Protector and Dictators of HuZryss) are following them with an expectation to obliterate Earth since people attacked their planet and captured two individuals. Entire story happens in Mumbai, India in light of the fact that clearly TrueKifs got the sign from this spot numerous years prior. Lucy is pregnant and Quarantined with Dr. Khan and Joe. The Aliens came to earth and they have help from an earthling from ISRO. Who right? What will happen when Anara discover it out and who else is engaged with this entire cataclysmic experience? For that exciting and chilling experience, you need to peruse the book.

The story continues from where it left off in the first book ‘Earth To Centurai’. Captain Anara & her crew are coming back to earth after they found life on HuZryss with Lucy & Joe (Two aliens from HuZryss) on the spaceship called ‘Antariksh’. But the TrueKifs(Protector & Dictators of HuZryss) are following them with an intention to destroy Earth because humans invaded their planet and kidnapped two people. Whole story takes place in Mumbai, India because apparently TrueKifs received the signal from this place many years ago. Lucy is pregnant and Quarantined with Dr. Khan & Joe. The Aliens came to earth & they have help from an earthling from ISRO. Who is it? What will happen when Anara find it out & who else is involved in this whole catastrophic experience? For that thrilling and chilling experience, you have to read the book.
Eventually this part of the whole series has more characters involved obviously. The PM and the ‘8’(a top secret group who are the decision makers towards the safety of the country), Captain Anara, Rawat, Ryan, Manisha, The Aliens(Jur & Biw) & the NIA agent Tej. I was familiar with Captain Anara & the crew from before but the new characters are interesting with some backup stories and with different moods. I liked the physical differentiation the writer gave to Jur & Biw (Four arms). Although the TrueKifs have their immunity suits with them but they get seizures some time due to the environment of earth. Overall I am glad that the story didn’t go to deep in a character and maintained its mystery towards them because you have a lot with the existed narration.
I am delighted to see that the whole story pivoted by the role of Indian Space research agency. I had watched a lot of SciFi movies which are all from Hollywood and based on USA. Although those are very good movies but I was kind of curious that how come all the aliens goes only to USA, Do they see only one country because of the weak eyesight or do they have an address to some part of USA, I don’t know. But I was glad that this one is of our country and it looks possible due to recent development we can see in the field of space science by ISRO. But that does not mean that it tells only about India. Indian Space Agency ISRO has the leading role in the research and development of the mission ‘Antariksh’ but they also had help from NASA. As the main reason of the mission was to explore for other human life because we got the acknowledgement of the space mission named Voyager.
The writer Mr. Kumar l. wrote a marvellous story about a space adventure and human contact with aliens. This book in particularly is tight and gripping. The thrill is real and as the timeline is near the Ganesh Mahotsav, you get to enjoy the festivities also & it was very important to the story.
I am hoping to read the next book in this series soon. The third book in the series is ‘Black Hole-Oblivion’. Thank you Kumar L. sir for writing this enthralling story.
Eventually this part of the whole series has more characters involved obviously. The PM and the ‘8’(a top secret group who are the decision makers towards the safety of the country), Captain Anara, Rawat, Ryan, Manisha, The Aliens(Jur & Biw) & the NIA agent Tej. I was familiar with Captain Anara & the crew from before but the new characters are interesting with some backup stories and with different moods. I liked the physical differentiation the writer gave to Jur & Biw (Four arms). Although the TrueKifs have their immunity suits with them but they get seizures some time due to the environment of earth. Overall I am glad that the story didn’t go to deep in a character and maintained its mystery towards them because you have a lot with the existed narration.
I am delighted to see that the whole story pivoted by the role of Indian Space research agency. I had watched a lot of SciFi movies which are all from Hollywood and based on USA. Although those are very good movies but I was kind of curious that how come all the aliens goes only to USA, Do they see only one country because of the weak eyesight or do they have an address to some part of USA, I don’t know. But I was glad that this one is of our country and it looks possible due to recent development we can see in the field of space science by ISRO. But that does not mean that it tells only about India. "Dharti Se Sitaron Tak (Earth to Centauri): Alien Hunt (Hindi Edition)” by Kumar L. is the second book of the series. Before I delve into my review, I must state that I had already read the third book of the series in English previously. So I had to read the first and the second book as prequels.
In my review of the third book, I had mentioned Captain Vyom. (Re: Who here remembers Captain Vyom? When it came to Indian heroes, with the cheap graphics and costumes, Milind Soman was our childhood space hero. Well, now I have got a new one. Captain Anara.) And I was reminded of that universe yet again, by reading this book. But here is a complicated universe, that the author has created with India at the forefront of space exploration.
In the 2nd book, Captain Amara is Earthbound and the majority of the events happen on Earth as opposed to space in the first book. I have the answers to a lot of questions that I had while reading the third book. However, there was a big spoiler that I already had, which kind of downed the story, but it was very interesting to read about this alien realm in the vernacular language. As I had mentioned in my previous review, the title is self-explanatory. This book has everything I love, space, aliens, advanced tech. The book discusses actual scientific terms, like an event horizon, singularity, black holes, etc. This makes the reading all the more delightful.
The author has written a strong female lead that ties the whole story together. The other characters have also been given equal importance in the story. The story not only had an impending alien invasion but there were also political elements at play. Now that I have the full story in my grasp, I can not stress enough, how much I loved the series. The author has created an impossible universe in a way that readers are compelled to think and wish it were real. And recreating the image of India as a space conquering megapolis, with mental visuals of The Grid from Tron, was enjoyable. Recommended to readers with a fascination for the beyond. My rating is 4 stars.

Since the time I have actively started reading books, I was looking for a Science Fiction book. The main reason behind this search was that I enjoyed watching Science Fiction movies as a kid. I never missed any episode of a cartoon show or cartoon movies that was based on some science fiction. Whether it was Ben 10 or some of the science episodes of Tom & Jerry, I enjoyed watching them. As soon as I came across this book, I could not resist reading it because it had the word “Alien” in its title.
The story is based on future and talks about the time when life is discovered on not just one but two planets besides Earth. The names that were used in the story were good but took time to settle in my mind- RyHiza, KirfWyss, Anara, TrueKif were some of the names that added extra effect to the alien element in the story. The sequences of wars, the way the planning of the wars and the way the instructions were given to the people made this story a gripping one. The war is not just a normal because it extends beyond Earth. The story has a good element of thriller and you will only be able to figure out more about the war when you read the book.
The cover is good but I believe that making it more colorful would have resulted in a better cover. The title is apt for the story and the tagline “Alien Hunt” attracted me to the story. The narration is a good one. Though in some areas, I felt the things were confusing and I had to reduce my reading pace to understand the alien things well. But the story has been described well and the readers can visualize the story if they read it seriously. The plot is a regular one though that is normally expected from Science Fiction books. The narration and good thriller element have pulled up the story and kept me involved in the book.

Earth to Centauri: Alien Hunt- an exciting and event-filled narrative that moves quickly from distant galaxies to Mumbai India where the world is threatened by alien revenge.
I read "Earth to Centauri: The First Journey" the first part in Captain Anara - Antriksh series by Kumar L just last month. I was captivated by the level of sci-fi novel upgraded by the author in Indian literature.
The book contains everything- adventure, thrill, bruised egos, sentiments and victory of Good over Evil. The plot starts right from the point where it was left in the first book but this time it has a lot more of emotions, drama and a chase to fulfil ones dream/mission and more such things. Anara is fighting a battle which requires diverse skill sets and people around her are using a different lens to judge her team, but the responsibility is on her to prove her mettle again.
Some parts of the novel were a little confusing though. I was mystified with the idea that an alien species that looked like reptiles with four hands could move about anywhere in India and not be noticed. Also, the prior relationship of Lucy and Jim (one of the aliens formerly known as an ‘it’ named Biw) required more of an explanation than was given at the penultimate and surprising moment of the book.
The author has been efficacious to catch the attention of a reader all through the book! This book is worth the time you spend on it, well you won’t really spend too much time, because this is quite an addictive book and once you start off with you would only get up once you have finished it. And if you are into Star Trek and Star wars (which I am not yet I liked both the books a lot) then this one should be on your reading list too! That said, if you are interested in science-fiction I am sure you will find this an interesting read.

Basically, the first part had an intriguing end. Captain Anara (The Protagonist) returns back to Earth with two aliens, but there's a catch. The Aliens have now followed them, and with the help of a traitor, they are planning to do something that makes the message clear that no humans should now enter their planet.
This book does justice as a sequel to the first book, with thrill and excitement guaranteed. The style of writing is to the point, with elaborate explanations of technical jargons for the non-techies :3
The first part laid down the main storyline, and this book was more to the thriller and action part of the humans and extraterrestrial terrorists and was complete fun to read. Antariksh is a spaceship that travels 4 light years, to reach an interstellar planet HuZyrss, which is in the Alpha Centauri. This book has it all, everything about deep space you ever imagined, from Black Holes to Supersonic Spaceships, Hyperloops, and Underwater Cities. It will keep you gripped to its plot, and will require your undivided attention, which you'll willingly give.
What I absolutely loved about this book is how it is set in an Indian Environment, specifically Mumbai, and how I could relate to the described places. We, Indian Readers, read a lot of books set in foreign countries, places we are remotely related to. So, it is a pleasure to read a story set in familiar places. Also, this book shows the advancements and the total contribution of ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) in the interstellar mission, which peaked my interest in the book.
I found some plotholes in the story too, but let's face it, it's fiction. Fiction set in the 22nd century, so I think that's acceptable. I would surely recommend this book to new sci-fi readers, you'll love it, guaranteed!

The second installment in Earth to Centauri series, “Alien Hunt” shifts the focus from the outer space back to Earth. After their encounters with the creatures of the outer world, Captain Anara and her team travel back to Earth. But as they return they get a distress call and a warning of impending danger coming towards Earth. Earth faces an alien attack. But why should aliens attack after such a good meeting? What is the agenda of the aliens? How do earthlings fare in the attack? Grab the book !!!
As I had said about the first installment, to read science fiction is always fun and add to it the Indian flavor. I did not have any doubts regarding how space fiction would sound in Indian background, but was curious about how the author treats the genre on Earth. The author again proves that he is a good storyteller by combining all elements for a good story in the right amounts. The story this time is better paced and thrilling. The portrayal of a futuristic India was believable with right amount of balance maintained.
This time around I find nothing against the book. Though the end was predictable, the treatment was good. There are twists in the climax but I am a little disappointed by the treatment meted out to certain guests. Maybe, I will get my answers in the next book. Of course, Captain Anara has a job in hand this time and that too which questions the existence of the whole universe. We will get to read about that in the next book.

Whether the heroes of part one can emulate the heroic activities once again or this will be the end of the earth? The book is a good sci-fi read. As I believe that stories are made for experiencing disregarding minor flaws, I love experiencing this book. I liked the fact that on the one side, there are aliens working together to conquer earth. On another side, there are humans who are entangled in their internal animosity instead of standing together and preparing for the upcoming interstellar war as a one planet. This is what the main take-away from the book. The day when the actual aliens will attack on our earth planet, whether we will repeat the same mistake again? This is a really a good question to ponder over.
Things I liked
1. Language of the book is easy and comfortable.
2. Narration style was noteworthy.
3. Book cover was exquisite once again. However, title wasn’t unique.
4. Characterization was portrayed well.
5. Plot was limited. It could be expanded more.
6. There had not been any loose connections.
There was nothing in this book, which I disliked particularly. Overall book was a good read and I recommend it for Sci-fi lovers.

Just like book 1, one will easily fall in love with the book 2 of the series.
Will Captain Anara be able to save the world of 30 million people and who is that one unique person?

I have read book 1 and book 2 back to back and that really made me enjoy the story much more. Book 2 begins from where the story ended in book 1. The story now takes place on Earth and we follow Anara, Ryan and Rawat along with other new characters as they race against time to protect Earth as well as Joe, Lucy and the unborn child from alien threat. I loved the side characters a lot, mainly Dr. Khan and NIA officer Tej.
This book has multiple plotlines which emerged together at the end to complete the picture. I loved the suspense and the never ending cat and mouse chase between the humans and the aliens because it made the book thrilling and entertaining. The story is told from the perspective of the heroes as well as the villains which made it that much more gripping!
Lucy’s character as well as Anars’a character was well developed and we are introduced to a new badass female character Tej who won the show for me. Many revelations were made towards the end of the book which answered a lot of queries which I was harboring from the beginning of the book.
If the story would have been a little bit short and more compact then I would have loved it even more. The middle section dragged a little bit and I lost interest for sometime but then the story picked up its pace towards the end and redeemed itself.
Eagerly waiting for book 3 which is going to be epic… I would highly recommend you guys to check this series out as it is really engaging and totally awesome.

The story start In year 2117 where everything is developed, technology is moving ahead. In the new era Captain Anara has been assigned a task of travelling to Proxima Centuries with her team to find out the source of a signal that has been sent to earth.
To read a science fiction book is always fun. Being science lover it's one of the best part to escape in the unknown journey. Author Being piolet did of the book did one of the great job.
This is perfect bend of science, technology, fiction, aliens and so many things. The plot is so engaging you will never feel bored. The plot is well structured with amazing details. This book is basically how we feel if we meet aliens.
There are so many twist and turn that keep you hooked up till the end. The characters are well made and does have strong back stories although I like only one character.
Overall its one of the best read in fiction in science. I'm glad that Indian have author like this who think of such different and creative topic. This book deserve to be read by everyone who loves science.

This is perfect bend of science, technology, fiction, aliens and so many things. The plot is so engaging you will never feel bored. The plot is well structured with amazing details. This book is basically how we feel if we meet aliens.
There are so many twist and turn that keep you hooked up till the end. The characters are well made and does have strong back stories although I like only one character.
Overall its one of the best read in fiction in science. I'm glad that Indian have author like this who think of such different and creative topic. This book deserve to be read by everyone who loves science.

The book begins with the year 2118 when the first journey from Earth to space has been successful. Despite, the success there is an explosive catastrophic secret which is being carried by the probe Voyager 1 which will have extremely fatal and grave consequences. Captain Anara and her crew return to Earth and found that a civil war has ravaged the planet they had left behind. A cryptic message warns her of the dispatch of mercenaries to Earth and their reason of arrival is unknown but is sure to have a dire consequences. She and her crew have a couple of days to save their planet from the brink of unimaginable carnage due to some inter stellar celestial war. They along with The National Investigation Agency come together for the greatest undercover search for the celestial alien like mercenaries. Gradually during their search they come to face with a traitor and everyone suspects Anara. Anara must have to leave no stone un-turned to save all the innocent lives. Read the book to find out whether the mission is successful.

Book is part 2 of series.. Dharti se sitaron tak.
I have read Book 1 last month which was story of reaching from earth to stars and planets of other part of the universe. A crew meets new community of people there.
In book 2, story moves ahead when a crew returns to earth and brings a couple with them from new planet that are Jo and Lusi, who are going to be parents. Interesting situations move along with the time and among the alien community, people with evil intentions takes over the power and come to earth in order to destroy it. I liked the mystery created till the end about identity of aliens and their real motives. All the intelligence, anti terrorism agencies and army comes together for direct battle with Aliens.
Plot is created about future of space science. Advanced technology, robots and smart gadgets are well imagined and new characters are introduced in part 2.
I liked the imaginations of author about future. I also liked well explained technology, artificial intelligence devices and ships created in future of India.
I felt that 'alien hunt' has not been as adventurous for me as part 1. It is more of mystery and suspense till the end. Overall, liked the book and story, specially the concept of underwater city of Mumbai. But characters could have been more explained to reduce focus of the story on technology only.

After spinning its wheels in Earth to Centauri, Book 1, Kumar’s novel becomes a chilling tale that’s hard to shake. The exuberant characters and swift pace, this book has more to offer than Book 1, while in that it was just about giving ideas to the readers more like plot building and educating readers with the various astronomical terminologies and how things works. Such meticulous research, such love for all things geek, an exhilarating plot, breakneck pacing and phenomenal concept of space Opera. This book has an edge of the seat action.
It's got everything you need in a great science fiction, like the space opera concept which is new to Indian Literature, this is full of action/adventure, joyous moment, greediness, One can see how the future is going to be in the earth, advanced technology, how teamwork is a great formula in destroying the evil. With the tremendous pace you just wish to go on reading. The science with the techno thriller is decent for the plot to make the story credible and interesting.
Overall, an another Sharp mystery in a continually improving series. The book itself is a simple delight to read. The story is well paced and keeps you riveted from cover to cover. I can't just wait to read Black Hole: Oblivion.

It's year 2118 and the Earth is under threat from the inhabitants of HuZryss, a planet in the Alpha Centauri star system that the human civilization has managed to reach just a year earlier.
The spaceship Antariksh, led by Captain Anara, accomplished what so far it could only be dreamed of.
It took many searches for Human kind to finally made contact with a new alien species, and the result was beyond anyone could expect. A new race, 'new humans', or so they're called, due to the extreme similarity in their DNA.
But with HuZryss now in turmoil by civil war, Captain Anara and her crew will have to fight against time to go back to earth and save the planet.
The author writing style is very straightforward, absolutely engaging and overall he comes across as passionate as knowledgeable about the subject without ever being pedantic.
On a side note, this is the second book in what I believe it to be a trilogy. However the author does a good job in the first pages to five a gist of the situation so far and the book can easily be enjoyed as a standalone.
A real fast-paced, page-turner sci-fi adventure that I'd recommend to anyone looking for a stimulating, action-packed read, not just fan of the genre.

I am an addict when it comes to movies like X-Men days of the future past or Avengers for that matter. And this book was loved by every moment I spent while reading it.
Imagining Mumbai that actually stands to be the city where so much of imagination is put into place, I really felt that there is a sci-fi series being cast in the sub conscious.
Planet Earth on stake and so much to do in just few days for Captain Anara, her passion and dedication is unmatchable. Not to miss, the enemies, the aliens, it did give me enough goosebumps thinking what if there was really a civil war in near future. Just wondering what if the alien in the movie Independence Day really comes in front of me. May be we will really need Captain Anara to rescue us!! The hunt of the aliens scared me visualizing it however also made me curious enough, thanks to the description and the unique names provided to the aliens, this book is a perfect combination of a thriller, science and fiction.Emotions at its best, breach in the privacy but finally good beats the evil!!
Kudos to the author for an amazing narration which never made it boring!!

This is the second book in the Earth to Centauri series. The first one was so amazing that I started this book with great expectations. Alien Hunt exceeded my expectations and just made me excited for the next book in the series. Science –fiction being one of my favorite genres to read, this series would definitely make my top10 list. This is not only a Science – fiction drama but also a techno-thriller.
It is all set in 2118 and Anara, the female protagonist is pushed to make decisions that would affect the world. The way she handles them and suspects the sources are interesting to read. Anara is very strong and inspiring. The story just moves forward with twists and so much technology. It was exciting to read it because this might happen soon for real with the technology growing rapidly every day.
The narrative is strong and gave me an edge of the seat experience. All the spaceships, aliens, and the galaxy didn’t overwhelm me but pulled me into the parallel universe and the story is so gripping that made it difficult for me to put it down. I rate this one 4/5. I am eagerly waiting for the next book in the series. I would recommend it to all sci-fi enthusiasts.

This is an exciting and event-filled narrative that moves quickly from distant galaxies to Mumbai India where the world is threatened by alien revenge. It is an imaginative glimpse at the future of mankind in a technical sense and from an Indian point of view. I found that feature of the book most interesting. I believe there is a need for more character development as the many roles appear like magic without proper description or explanation. There are too many abbreviated job titles intermingled in the advancing suspense of the alien terrorist threat. This might add to the fast pace of the narrative but it can be confusing for a reader not from India. I was confounded with the idea that an alien species that looked like reptiles with four hands could move about anywhere in India and not be noticed. Also, the prior relationship of Lucy and Jim (one of the aliens formerly known as an ‘it’ named Biw) required more of an explanation than was given at the penultimate and surprising moment of the book. That said, if you are interested in science-fiction I am sure you will find this an interesting read.

Plot of the book is in the year 2118. The first journey from Earth into interstellar space has been successful, but the explosive secret carried aboard the probe Voyager 1 will have grave consequences. Captain Anara and her crew return to Earth aboard their spaceship, Antariksh, civil war breaks out in the world they have just left behind.
The protagonist in this story was a joy to follow from beginning to end. This is one of those stories where you're not really sure why it's working, but you are just enjoying in wonder it as it unfolds. There were also several plot twists that I did not see coming and that is always refreshing.

I do not want to give away spoilers for this book, it needs to be read and enjoyed in its entirety, so I will let you discover what has occurred at the end. I had troubles putting it down because it was full of action and suspense! It is a great book if you love sci-fi and a new idea. This is another great piece of science fiction, and I can't wait to read them author's next book.

The book 1 of the series was one of my favourites in 2018 and I had high expectations from this one too. Thankfully it didn't let me down.
The book 2 of the series starts with the return of antariksh after establishing a relationship with the aliens. however, just after leaving civil war broke into that world and a cryptic message decoded that hostile group of aliens are attacking earth. while their mission is unknown yet deadly enough to send shockwaves the crew team searched for the greatest undercover mercenaries and race against time to save the earth and unmask the traitor.
something I really like about the author is that the plot is although sci-fi plotted in 100years ahead of today it's not completely unrealistic. realism and scientific theories with engaging plot kept me hooked to the book till its last page. The plot was maintained throughout the book flowing from one chapter to another. Something I love about the series is there isn't much technical jargon to bore me up. Overall it was an easy and great read
