My name is Remington Reese Carter, and I’ve had a really bad day. It should have been an excellent day, after the prior evening spent with Elliot McAdams. The experience had been amazing, but then the front door of Eli’s place opened, along with the biggest can of worms ever. I mean, really, what were the chances that not one, not two, but all three boys—well, now men, I suppose—that I ever loved, or thought to love, would all live together? And that Eli would live there as well? All. Together. My mind couldn’t fathom it. So I did what any self-respecting girl would do when confronted with four guys she has a major thing for. I ran. Don’t act like you wouldn’t have, either. I went straight to my best friend for some serious girl time. Join Remi in the continuance of her journey in this sequel to Echoes and Entanglements.

Emma Cole is a multi-genre romance author covering everything from dark and light contemporary to paranormal and sci-fi. Almost all of her stories are, or will be, from the reverse harem subcategory, and none of them skimp on the heat.
In this book a lot is about Remi met Dylan and Beckett and later Ethan. How they never knew that they all know Remi and also about her Relationship with Eli. It was a too detailed look into the past and a short look into the now. And again this book ends with a cliffhanger. It is okay, but something (which I cannot put my fingers on) is missing. I will try the third part and hope it will be a book I like.
Summery is a Quote of the third book in this series: Clarity, where Emma Cole writes a Refresher for her readers:
The second book of Remi’s story is so good! We finally get the back story on the three other members of Greyside Security. Answers are given to many questions I had but now I have even more questions that need answering. I’m not sure about Adam and Sam just made me hate her! Can’t wait to read the next book in this series!
I found book one similar to a character introduction of the two main characters Remi and Eli. Book two is the back story filler. Basically tells you about life with Dylan & Beck, also Ethan. Their teenage sexual encounters and experiences. The story progress will into a cliffhanger. More drama, spice, and a little bit of action in the end. Definitely build on the intrigue and angst. A decent 3½ stars.
I really enjoyed this book, I loved how we got to go back to Remi’s past and find out what happened with the guy’s and it was great getting to know their characters. I am getting a major soft spot for Ethan but also love Dylan’s alpha personality. I can’t wait for the next book to come out and hopefully we’ll get some hot scenes with Reno and the others!
Oh dear I hate going lower than 3⭐️ ratings but this really started to get boring half way through it was a little repetitive too. It did pick up in the last few chapters but not enough to go up to 3⭐️. Yes we did find out more of what happened but these things were spread out over too many chapters and the stuff with her dad ect was left to the odd mention. I kinda needed more.
Remi is still confused over all that has gone on. Being reunited with the ones that left her heart broken and being in love with Eli. Also dealing with the agents after her dad. Remi has a lot to deal with and Eli is there to help, but so are her other three loves. Eli is willing to share in order to make her happy.
Remind and the guys finally start to get things figured out but the deck seems to be stacked against them! .......... That ending though!! I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT BOOK
DNF at 64%. I wasn't sold on the first book, and I really did give this one a shot, but it just didn't hit the mark for me. Everything happened fast, the story only went surface deep, and it was pretty predictable.
This series is good. Fun and quick. Underlying ploy all the way through while Remi sorts out her feelings for the guys from both her past and present. I am dying to know what happens next.
Holy crap. The guys are back and everyone has a different tale to tell. Though things seem to be working out. However the situation with the people following Remi gets more complicated when they find out Sam’s been tipping them off. That ending as well. What a cliffhanger
Really enjoyed this book! I loved all of the flashbacks with the boys. I can’t wait for the smut to go up to the next level! I’m making a prediction that Remi’s dad is gonna show up by the end of the series. Curious to see how Adam, Samantha, and the FBI agents are connected…
I didn’t think anything was gonna be worse than reading the words “annoying females” in the first book. I was wrong, this one had “idiotic females.” I’ll give the next book three stars if it can get all the way through without insulting women or calling them females.
Definitely improved writing from the first book but I'm really hoping in the next one our FMC stops being a woman hater. It just rubs me the wrong way.
The story is good. The plot for this second book was better than the plot for the first. I'm not really a fan of the way some books flash between present and past tense. The background story was needed for the plot, but that is not my preferred type of writing. Basically, I did a lot of skimming and therefore finished this book pretty quickly.
The plot with the dad and the CIA or whoever the agents are is pretty good, although the idea that college kids who run a security company are good enough at "sweeping for bugs" that they can locate and destroy as many bugs as they did in this book is a bit more far-fetched than I can accept. (Yes, the girl who reads books about people who can turn into dragons or travel between worlds finds the concept of sweeping for bugs too far-fetched. I am aware the of humor there.)
I will still read the next book just to see what happens with the dad/CIA story (and of course to see what happens after that cliffhanger ending!) (Which, BTW, how I really hate cliffhangers!)
This book is better than the previous one, you finally get the backstories, yet for me it still wasn’t anything special.
Si everyone can see the spoiler of the last book, how the twins and Ethan were the roommates and her previous crushes. This book starts out with her giving the backstory of how she met every guy and what happened. I did not like how unimaginative and obvious the story telling was, the story itself is good but just the way it was told frustrated me.
In this book, you have a more fast paced vibe, everyone is in this awkward middle ground and has no clue what to do. I like how you see everyone thread likely, yet for me she was the most confusing character. As the guys were respectful, one minute she was angry and the next all sweet, she expected everything from them but was not very willing to give an inch herself.
Once again, the most upbeat part of this book is the ending, which ends in a cliffhanger. For me it’s not the types of books I would recommend, but I keep reading just because I want to know what else will happen but it’s not a must
This story picks up where the last one finished so if you haven't read the first one, go and do that now! I loved the way the Author filled in the back stories in this book. We really get to meet the guys properly and find out more about Remi along the way too. Eli is such a sweetheart, I really loved him and his attitude towards the situation. (Also the steamy times... 🔥🔥🔥) that one scene, you'll know when you've read it but WOW! Emma Dean writes her angst so well and there were times when I was shouting at my kindle in anger and other times feeling hurt and confusion along with the characters. To me this is a sign of a really well written book. Also being British, I loved the way Brits were included ;) I need to know what happens next and eagerly await the next instalment!
If you love a strong female, humorous sexual tension, mystery and RH this book is for you! This is the 2nd installment of Remington Carter. I recommend starting with the first installment " Echoes & Entanglements." We get an insight into Remi's past loves and get to cheer for her and the guys as they begin to rediscover their relationships. We still have the unsolved mystery of.... what happened to her dad? Is he still alive? What about the CIA agents? So many questions left unanswered and holy cliffhanger batman. Emma.... your killing me! :) Can't wait until the next installment. I need book 3 NOW! LOL
