One reluctant heart. Three weeks to decide. A whole country waiting to see who he'll pick. The man I love is a man I can't have. He needs someone who can stand confidently by his side. Someone who belongs. Not someone who can still barely walk in heels. He's going to announce his engagement in mere weeks and I'm far too young for that sort of thing. It's far too soon. But, could I be a princess if it meant seeing his smile every day. Could I be confident? Could I belong? Could I be the right choice? I'll have to if I don't want to watch the man I love marry someone else. The Royal Misadventures #1 Now I'm No Princess (Part 1) #2 Lady in I'm No Princess (Part 2) #3 Three of a I'm No Princess (Part 3) #4 Some I'm No Princess (Part 4) #5 Royally Prince of Pout (Part 1) #6 Royals in Almost Royal (Part 1) - coming soon Please be aware that this story uses Australian English spelling and syntax.
I started out writing fantasy. But, I like to write anything, honestly. These days, I mainly stick to YA and there's always at least a sprinkling of romance, if not a 'whoops, I dropped the whole packet in'. Almost all my books are set in my home state of South Australia, either in real or fictional places - gotta write what you know - with Netherfield being the only current exception.
I'm an avid fan of Marvel, DC, Doctor Who, Supernatural, Red Dwarf, IT Crowd, and pretty much anything similar. I've recently discovered Richard Ayoade's Travel Man and it's brilliant. I love watching soccer (go Gunners) and thoroughly look forward to seeing Eurovision every year. Celebrity crushes include Anna Kendrick and Chris Evans, because they are wonderful.
I live in Adelaide with my husband and a menagerie of animals – a cat reliving her (sixth) youth, a cowardly Beagle-Cavalier who thinks he’s smaller than he is, one meeping guinea pig who thinks any plastic bag has his greens in, two chickens who are terrified of free-ranging, and a turtle with a penchant for sticking her head up her filter pipe.
I have a Master of Arts (Writing) from Swinburne University of Technology. I also have a Master of Arts (Editing and Publishing) at University of Southern Queensland and, am now working towards my PhD. I also hope to one day undertake a PhD in Creative Writing - perpetual student, am I.
I also organise the Sleeping Dragon Emerging Fantasy Writers’ Collective writing group. The group self-published their anthology Tales from the Sleeping Dragon in 2012.
Wow this has been a fun read all the way through! I love how this series has turned out and I'm so glad to learn that this is not the end. I love all the characters in this series and cannot wait for more to come! Just simply Amazing!
Okay, so I'm seeing a ton of growth from books 2 to right now. I'm loving it.
Some Proposal was another cute and short book in this series. I honestly really like the conclusion in this one because it tied everything up pretty nicely. That being said, it isn't the end of the series. Yeah, I know that might sound weird but hey - it's not me, it's you. Just some nice little novellas from different POV's (I think? Okay, no I really hope!). Plus, there's a prince of pout series too!
Back to the book, Dmitri and Anya were just so cute in this one. I honestly didn't think that they could get any cuter but they did. Then again, Dmitri has been swoon-worthy since the first time I met him. Even though I loved them, I have a feeling that Gunter and Annalise stole the show.
I'm not even sorry for saying that, they were completely hilarious. I loved them and wanted more. Heck, give me a book from their POV and I will devour it.
In the end, this book was pretty good and now I want to dive into the rest just to see what will happen.
What a perfect ending to this story. Ups and downs , miss communication and assumptions about their life make things difficult but maybe changes are always for the best. Anya matures so much through the 4 months at court. She finds herself.
Argh! The ending was as it was to be expected. But I would have liked to seen more of a climatic middle. And a “In your face” to our villains with a dramatic response. And of course to see Anyas mother and Besties to be there when the story comes full circle. PLUS a little more insight to Lia’s direction. But over all it was a series worth reading and waiting patiently for to read the next book. I definitely recommend this series and most importantly the Author who made this wait worth the read. Not to mention her other books are quite clever as well😉
Some Proposal is the 4th and the final book in the I’m No Princess series and is not a standalone. This novella is a great conclusion to this YA/NA royal romance. Tati/Anya really came into her own and mostly adapted to noble life without losing who she is in the process. Dmitri continued to have me swooning at times and I just loved watching their interactions with each other. I also enjoyed secondary characters as the author made sure to include all my favorites including the cantankerous Arnell and the hilarious TV hosts Gunter and Annalise. One of the things that I love about this author is that she writes entertaining YA/NA books where the characters’ maturity levels match that of their ages. It is a book that can appeal to both high schoolers as well as adults if you are looking for a sweet, humorous read. Some Proposal is a fun, fast-paced read that ties up most, but not quite all loose ends - thus leaving it open for the beloved Nico and Kostin getting their own novellas. I received this book for free and I voluntarily leave this review.
I loved this part more than the other two. I like the writing style of the author very much and how easily she weave through the plot, not giving us every single detail, but leave for the reader a little bit space for imagination to fill in not clearly stated events. It is enough for the reader to know what happened and we can easily keep up with the story line. I don't want to give anything away. If you read the first three parts I can't imagine you wouldn't like to know the conclusion and what happened on the Valentine's Day in Gallyr. If you didn't, give it a go as this is easy, funny, great and entertaining series of novellas. I loved that author keep the suspense till the last pages of the book.
I loved this book and I absolutely adored this series. I hope we see more of this wonderful world of Anya, Dmitri, Lia, Kostin, Nico, Faith and Lina as well as their parents. This was a great story with lots of humor and plenty of mixed messages which caused angst between multiple characters. The writing made you fall in love with each and every one of these characters because they were relatable and believable. Anya was so beautifully written and I loved the ending. Great series. Recommend This is one author who has never failed to provide me with an enjoyable read. I am always left feeling I've read a book which was memorable and will stay with me long after I've read it.
"Again, the tone was much like it had always been in public. That sense of intense disapproval but with something else that… No. Surely, it hadn’t always been there?"
I think I'm doing with this series. It's well written and has an interesting concept, but I've just gotten increasingly bored while reading them - even with the mic drop moment at the end of this book.
Maybe the lack of continued interest came down to how this story was serialized. I agree that the current 7 novellas would be a lot to cram into one book, but I personally would've enjoyed novels 1 - 4 if it was a continuous reading experience.
Breaking the story into a 4 part novella left me anxious and dying to rush to the ending (bittersweet, yes, I know) but once there I couldn't believe THAT WAS IT?! The title is fitting, SOME PROPOSAL is right. The Prince's proposal some how fell flat. I was not wowed or wooed. They spent little to no time together after book 2 so I was even rooting for her to get with either of the two brothers instead. Oh well.

Epic Conclusion! I am in love with this finale! Hope there will be more after this! Finished the whole series in less than 48hours. I totally identify with the Lady in the first book and just love how she develops and matures in small steps and some set backs. Just totally worth the read! Seriously, I want more of this universe!!
Loved it. How did it end. I’m not saying. You will have to read it yourself. I’m actually quite sorry it is finished but there is the promise of more to come from the Gallyr Royals.

I just loved this book. It was so well-written that it captured my mind and I was dragged along for the ride. Once I started reading I could not put it down until I read the last page.

Four wonderful books in this collection of story about love and how a proposal can happen or not. You will need to read to find out if there is one or not

okay, I started reading book one on Saturday. it is now Wednesday and I have completed all four. I could not put them down as I wanted to know what Tati would do next. I highly recommend the series was a lovely story and I hope for a wedding book 5 :D
I like this author's work and I like this series. They are easy and fun to read. Cannot wait for the Lia's story and of course for the continuation of Anya's story.
