When my brother and I were young, my dad was taking a Children's Literature class that used this book. He would share many of the folk tales, rhymes, and stories with us. Our favorites were Molly Whuppie (Irish) and Snakes and Diamonds (French). The Anthology now graces my shelves.
This was my textbook for my children's literature class, spring 08 semester. My teacher for this course was hands down the best professor I've experienced thus far.
I'll admit that this isn't the exact same Anthology of Children's Literature that I own, but it's the closest I could find. What I have a is textbook my father used when he was a teacher back in the 1950s. When he became a principal, he brought his copy of the book home and I pored over it throughout my childhood.
