Holiday Hideout

Rate this book
Every woman in the world hates me. No seriously, it’s true.
When I decided to break up with my girlfriend, she went on to write a chart-topping album about how I broke her heart.
And everyone’s on her side.
I get hate mail.
Death threats.
Now, I’m hiding out until the filming of my next SharkQuake movie is underway.
I head to Alaska, to keep my head down until the buzz of Trinity’s new album dies down.
No interaction except for a housekeeper, Rachel, that shows up twice a week to clean.
When she shows up, I quickly learn she’s Team Trinity and probably wants me dead, too.
But there’s something about her I can’t quite ignore.
To top it off, she’s a major shark movie junkie-- apparently it’s a thing.
Spending time with her makes me forget about the world.
And for someone like me that can be a dangerous thing.
This is only temporary, soon I’ll be heading back to Hollywood and leaving this holiday hideout behind.

3.5 stars, rounding up because this is just a sweet, low angst story. I really have nothing negative to say about this one, it's a nice "break from reality" novella. I think the author did a nice job with the story, given the short length.

Safe; no virgins, no OM/OW drama. No cheating, no scenes with OM/OW.

Rachel and Fender’s story is lighthearted and romantic all bundled into a perfect little package. A fast paced read that provides all the background you’d need to connect to these characters individually without overdoing it. The magnetic force is clear between these two and the will they/won’t they moments will have your eyes glued to each and every page. A wonderful novella that brings the story closure in the end. Highly recommend and suggest you bump to the top of your TBR list.

With a name like Fender Fallon he was destined to be a Hollywood Hunk💕 what Fender didn’t plan on was needing to hide from Hollywood because his ex’s trolls would one day threaten him.

All he wants is to be alone for the holidays until the paparazzi madness calms down instead he gets a housekeeper who is team #killfenderfallon.

Rachel is such a sweet girl who is scared to leave her dad & sister. After meeting Fender she starts having different dreams for her life.

One cold plunge & some steamy nights has her wanting more from life than she ever dreamed💕

Major swoon points for Fender—The crowd parts, and he crosses the airport to stand right in front of me. A tingle radiates throughout my body. “Did you forget something?” I ask him. He removes his sunglasses, his eyes blazing into mine. “Yeah, you.” He wraps his strong arms around my waist and plants his lips right on mine.😍

Holiday hijinks, heat, and happily ever after

Fender came to Polar Bear, Alaska to hide from the crazy fans his ex-girlfriend's breakup songs have unleashed on him. He never expected what should have been a low key 'we're not meant to be' break up to turn into a big selling album making him out to be a jerk and his ex into a star.

He certainly wasn't expecting the woman tasked with keeping his rented abode to be one of her fans. Or that even more surprisingly, she's a fan of his!

Rachel and Fender definitely have ice melting chemistry. After some initial misunderstanding, they find themselves hanging out. Rachel introduces him to some bone chilling local traditions and they burn up the sheets with the best way to pass the time during those long cold winter nights.

Steamy, witty, sweet, fun, and fast read.

I received a review copy. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

A holiday treat you won't want to miss!
Fender travels to a cabin in Alaska to get away from all the negativity he's publicly receiving from his break up. Rachel is the cleaning lady who's been hired to clean the home Fender is staying in while he hides away. But she is also a supporter of his ex and a huge fan of his films at the same time. I love the banter between these two. As time goes on they get to know each other and grow feelings. I love how Rachel gets Fender to try new things and have an adventure. The places she takes him makes me wish I was in Alaska. Things eventually heat up and Fender gets to jingle her bells and Rachel to ride his candy cane. 😉 This story goes to show you, you can't always believe what's said about a person from others. You need to get to know them for yourself. Logan Chance's stories always hook me and this one is no different. I loved it so much. I was held captivated from beginning to end. I highly recommend this book! Deserves way more than five stars.

Let’s begin with me telling you that I am Team Fender all the way. But anyway this is a fast paced, funny and of course not lacking on the sexy scenes. Fender and Rachel’s meet was pretty funny and you could feel there chemistry right away. Logan also did a great job on writing the scenery I could picture Alaska pretty good. I’ve read it in one go an lack some sleep now but it’s worth it. Highly recommend it.

This is such a cute, quick holiday read! Fender is just this dreamy, talented, great guy, and delicious movie star! 😁 And Rachel is this kind, loving, responsible, cheesy shark movie obsessed small town girl. I love the way they come together, the misunderstandings, the adventures. I love how she judged him before she actually knew him, but came to find out how thoroughly incorrect her assumptions were. Super cute, steamy, festive read!

Fender's former girlfriend has written songs about their relationship which are garnering him thousands of death threats every day, so for his own sake, and that of family and friends, he takes himself off to Alaska to hide away over the festive period.
Typical Logan Chance romance; a great guy and an ordinary, extraordinary girl. Lovely story.

Fender & Rachel are so fun I fell for these two from the beginning and the way they met….. Epic beyond all proportions. I loved it I’m still laughing. This book is so enjoyable once again Logan Chance did not disappoint, he has a way of blending the words and story line where you get hooked in from the very beginning and can’t stop until the last page, you will experience swoon worthy scenes
Funny banter between these two, they really are entertaining lol and let’s not forget that “Oh No Way” I did not see that coming.

Holiday Hideout is a story about finding the one where you least expect it.
Fender Fallon has fans he never knew he had. His movies are not blockbusters. After a breakup led to him needing to get away, he heads to Alaska to get away from the drama that has become his life. There he meets Rachel, who is a fan of his movies.
Fender wants to get away from the Hollywood paparazzi after a break up with a pop star. He wants more out of life than what he currently has. The Hollywood life isn’t what he thought it would be. He thought going to Alaska was a safe place to hide. Safe from the paparazzi but not safe for his heart.
Rachel grew up in Polar Bear, Alaska. She has dreams but continues to put her family first. She’s caring, thoughtful, and talented. Her heart wants what it wants but that’s not her reality.
Rachel and Fender have a fun and steamy chemistry. They bring out the best in each other while struggling with the idea that a relationship cannot happen. Both want it, and yet they fight it at the same time. Logan has written their relationship in a way that sounds like a true Hollywood story. Falling for the “girl next door” is more of a love story than a Hollywood romance.
Holiday Hideout is the perfect holiday romance. It’s a standalone that’s a quick read that fits nicely into your hectic holiday schedule. So take a break from all the holiday hustle and bustle and get to know Rachel and Fender. I received an advance copy in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are mine and were not influenced by the author or his promotional team.

Fender is hiding out in Polar Bear, Alaska while waiting for his next movie to start, thanks to his ex making him public enemy number one. Wanting nothing more than to let the media storm to die down and then get back to his normal life, the last thing he expected was the housekeeper, Rachel, to change his whole world.

A quick, entertaining, and funny read that had me smiling and giggling throughout the entire book. Fender and Rachel were complete opposites but pushed and complimented each other perfectly. I was definitely feeling the holiday spirit after reading this novella. I can not wait for more from Logan Chance.

HOLIDAY HIDEOUT in Polar Bear, Alaska! Is a Holiday Story of finding love in an unexpected place like Polar Bear, Alaska. It doesn't matter if you have been a little bit naughty & finding your thrill on Mistletoe Mountains.

Fender Fallon had to get away from all the trouble he was in, due to breaking up with his ex-girlfriend Trinity. He had been a star of some Shark movies, but didn't consider himself famous. His girlfriend had made a fortune on writing songs on his cruel breaking-up with her and tearing her heart apart. He now was infamous from that & hated by many. When he dated her, she was a struggling actress & singer. She now has an album worth millions & all about their failed love story. How she was a tragic victim & he the villain who trampled on her heart. Trinity was thrust into superstardom. She had a Trinity Tribe and her fan club was named “Kill Fender Fallon.” He thought he would be safe hiding away in Polar Bear, Alaska. No one would find him there. He was enjoying the peace & quiet the cabin provided, when the cleaning lady came crashing into his life. She was wearing a purple t-shirt with the words written across the front “KILL FENDER FALLON.” Certainly not the way to start their relationship. Her name is Rachael & they become very good and close friends. After a life changing kiss between them, how will they ever say goodbye?

Finding love while hiding out

Holiday Hideout (Polar Bear, Alaska) by Logan Chance is a sweet romcom with some serious steam. Fender’s gotten a bad rep with not a lick of truth to it. While hiding out from the infamy, he and Rachel have their meet cute, become friends of a fashion and finally lovers. Rachel is the quintessential girl next door and native Alaskan, shows Fender around the area and engage in some Alaskan wilderness excitement, some of which on a dare or two. It’s a fun read as these two get to know one another, chemistry becomes undeniable and inevitable. Fender and Rachel simply can no longer ignore any of their feelings.
Overall, a wonderful quick holiday feel good read has this strangers to friends to lovers couple have a great deal in common despite how different their day to day lives are and eventually find a way to have their HEA.

Celebrity romance isn't one of my go-to tropes, but I really enjoyed this holiday short featuring a self-proclaimed D-list actor and the woman that is hired to clean his getaway home.

Fender Fallon may be the most hated man in the world after his ex writes an entire album portraying him as the bad guy. She's a star now and he's in Alaska waiting for his sudden fame to die down. When Rachel shows up to clean his cabin, Fender isn't sure which side she's on, but Rachel will soon realize that maybe Fender isn't a bad guy after all.

This was a fun and quick holiday read. It has a bit of an instalove vibe while still being somewhat of a slower burn. Fender turned out to be a pretty loveable guy, and although I'm not familiar with the actual songs that his story is based on, I'm curious now and want to give them a listen.

Heating up the holidays!!!

Wow - Logan definitely brought the heat to the holidays with this story!! In a little town called Polar Bear, Alaska Fender is hiding out waiting for the craziness from his ex to dwindle while he waits to film his next movie. Rachael happens upon him when she goes to clean the cabin he’s not supposed to be in until the following day. Fender and Rachael have an instant chemistry that is unexpected to both of them but oh so right!! He is pulling her out of her “boring” life while she is showing him what life truly has to offer.

Another wonderful story by Logan who is so good at weaving a tale that you can instantly feel like you are a part of! Definitely do not miss out on this story!

Holiday Fun & Fiery Romance

“Holiday Hideout” is a romantic read with great character interaction, flirtatious teasing, fun times, fiery romance and a happy forever.

Fender rents a cabin in Alaska to escape the Hollywood madness of his ex’s hit album. Hate mail and death threats from her fans flood his mind. Rachel, his housekeeper, adores his Shark movies and harbors a crush. Their first meet is awkward, but Rachel’s upbeat persona intrigues him, as do his fiery desires towards her. They face a few obstacles before they reach their happy forever.

A delightful page-turner holiday read that made me smile and laugh. Fender and Rachel’s romance is true and shines in this read. The author does a great job showing how Alaska can be a fun place to visit.

Needs a little more padding out.

A lovely story line, but it could have had more padding, especially on the scenery. I wanted to feel that I was there, wanted to feel the ice cold waters surrounding me as I took the plunge along with the characters into the lake. But I didn't. I love stories where I am taken along for the ride and feel part of the experience. That did not happen this time. Sorry.

I like this author and normally he gets 4 stars. The 3 stars this time are for the different story line to the norm ( wealthy sports or business people ). The two main characters here are both floundering in personal and work situations. The minor characters did not have enough depth to them in my opiniom.

Fender is looking for escape...

...but finds his forever!
I like Fender, I love that he hasn't lowered himself to a social media slanging match and as frustrated as he is, he is willing to ride out the storm as he reassesses, regroups and hides from the world! What he doesn't expect to find is his forever, a forever that is reluctant to trust and will make him work for her heart, exactly the forever he needs. Rachel may be wary, but she is loyal and the more she sees of Fender, the more she realises just how wrong everyone has been. He is a warm, loving, faithful and devoted partner....not the image that has been portrayed!
A sweet rance which I read on Kindle Unlimited

Swiftie I am not.. and if you are.. I don’t think you will enjoy this one because babes.. trinity is the villain in this story and taylor is trinity😭

It captures how blindly people follow and idolize famous people & the way they take everything they say without knowing the other side of the story

ANYWAYS. Fender was a sassy king, as you can see in some of my attached highlights. And I love me a sassy king

Watching fender and rachel be adventurous and really open up both emotionally and in the dares they were willing to do with one another was everything

And the fact that they were both willing to go after one another rather than it just being one sided had me 🥹

Cute story

I love Logan Chance. I usually get way more steam with their stories, so I was super surprised that this Holiday story was so cute and sweet.

Fender flees LA to Alaska to escape his ex, that used their relationship to propel her music career. Said music has turned Fender into the most hated man on earth. While in Alask Fender befriends his maid, Rachel. Their friendship turns to love and they both find their person in time for the holidays.

Like I said… so sweet, with a dash of steam.

Enjoyable quick little read - poor Fender has been wronged by up and coming singer, Trinity, and the paparazzi are blowing everything out of whack - inciting her followers to 'revolt' against him, his life was not enjoyable.

So, with the help of family and his agent, Fender escapes to Alaska. It is cold, but his housekeeper, Rachel, is hot and really easy to talk to. She talks to him, cares about him, makes him see life is good.

The relationship they have is limited, if they let it - California or Alaska?

Rachel & Fender

Fender is an up&coming actor who has ticked off the world by breaking up with the singer Trinity. He's hiding out in an Alaskan cabin until things blow over.
Rachel is a cleaner around town and shows up to clean Fender's cabin, wearing a tshirt bashing him! Even though she's a mega-fan of his SharkQuake (and all other shark) movies.
And from there, not much else makes a whole lot of sense. It's very sweet and insta-love, but a lot of the plot just makes you think, "huh?" and the spicy scenes are often awkward.
Upside: it's super short!
2/5 spicy

Fender is hiding out in a small Alaskan town waiting for the drama of a recent breakup to die down. He meets the quirky Rachel. They spend time together and form a flirty friendship which quickly turns hot. As they get closer, Rachel realizes their lives are very different. Her
life is in Alaska with her family, and his is in California with his movie career, and she can’t keep him from it. This visit for Fender also has an expiration date, but will they be able to resist catching feelings?
