loved the twists

This series has kept me intrigued. I only gave it a four because I felt there was a disconnect with the main romance but still felt it was a very good book for the right person

Of the three books so far, I think this is my least favorite. Overall, it was written well and true to the previous installments of the series, however there were a few things that made me enjoy it less than the others. The political system/rebellion plot is very Hunger Games-esque, which made it feel like something I've read before with the "leader who's in power vs. Leader who one rebellion group thinks should be in power, vs. The leader who the other group thinks should be in power," plot happening. I also feel that Poppy became whiny and frustrating to read, as she repeatedly does exactly what she was told not to and then seems surprised when something negative happens. I'm overall pleased to have read the novel, and excitedly wait for the fourth and final book to see what happens, but I'm hoping for a little more growth in Poppy and a better plot twist regarding the political system

Great paranormal if one likes the darker side of shifters. It is a really creative yet somewhat violent twist on the genre. And, that is saying a lot considering how many shifter books are out there! The writing is excellent and the plots are unique and nail-biting. I especially liked the fact that, even though there is another cliffhanger at then end, it wasn’t a full-stop, drop-you- off-then-kick-you kind. Still, as much as I’m enjoying the storylines, I kinda wish I would have waited and read the entire series once it’s finished (‘cause the huge cliffhangers and the Looooong waits between books are pretty annoying.)

This was amazing! I devoured this in a night.
Every single book Poppy seems to find herself more. She makes mistakes, and she sides with the wrong people sometimes, and she probably acts with her heart more than she should, but she does just want the world to be a better place for everyone. Becoming a Lycan doesn’t change that for her, in all honesty I think it makes her stronger as a person and in her beliefs.
Nina and Kimberly, I hope you know that the Poppy and Ryne relationship is torture. I’m in agony right now. Will they ever catch a break?
I’m excited for this last book in the series. I have a feelings it’s gonna be a good one!!

Thank you to Nina and Kimberly for allowing me to read this as an ARC. This is my honest review.

I must admit that with each book, the plot only gets better and better! This book picks up where Book 2 left off after the Lycans attack at the festival. Poppy escapes with help from Ryne who also sends Knox with her to take care of her. Having been bitten, Poppy is yet to discover how it will affect her.

In this book, we meet more of the shifters and get to know them better. We get to spend time among the Lycans as Poppy and Knox end up among a group of them. They have their own ways, but seem to be more concerned about the humans and about saving them (or so they say!). Can you truly ever trust anyone and assume that they do not have a secret agenda? This forms the crux of the plot as the story progresses.

As Poppy navigates her way with the Lycans, she ends up with the resistance and meets many of the players involved. Thus ensues a journey to rescue someone and exact revenge while also trying to save the humans from their fate among the werewolves. I enjoyed reading about the various characters and I like how the authors have worked to develop them. They are well rounded and believable. I also like how Poppy grows as a character reaching a point where she takes strong decisions and initiative while also assuming the role of a leader. She is caring and compassionate and this turns out to be the best part of who she is.

I devoured this book in one night, enjoying the story completely and now eagerly waiting for the next book in the series. This is indeed a wonderfully written book with a new spin on the supernatural with a dash of romance that will have the reader hoping for more!

I just couldn't finish the series with all the rehashing of events and repetition and "should"s and "don't care"s, and...

I loved the Stella and Sol series so I may give another of Kimberly Loth's series a try on the off chance these issues arose as a result of her collaborating with another author.

GOOD

The book was good. It has been on my to be finished shelf for a while but I suddenly had the urge to finish. I remember that the female character annoyed me slightly but then I remembered she was young. ☺️

On to finish the series.

Thank you so much to the authors for the book!
I received this ebook in exchange for an honest review.

I really liked this book! The plot is so interesting, it takes us to explore new settings, learning about the world of the lycans and the panther shifters. It also introduces new characters. I really liked some of them and I hated others with all my soul. I also loved Poppy's evolution in this book, how she becomes much more powerful as she learns to accept herself. And I loved her relationship with Ryne, so full of conflicts and obstacles along the way.

There's a lot of drama in this story and so much tension. There are also some scenes full of adrenaline, with a final fight that left me completely hooked, wanting to know what was going to happen. The twists and turns were really good, this book had some revelations that blew my mind. And an ending that left me desperate to read the next book. I loved this story, can't wait to know how it continues.

◦ I've received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review ◦

As I’ve gotten used to this series, from the very beginning the book is an ongoing action, there is no dull moment or anything to make it feel boring which I really love it. Even tho the book is around 300 pages I’ve devoured it so quickly that I didn’t even notice when it was done.

This time the world-building we get is amazing. I loved seeing the multiple cities with shifters, the family type of bonding and the overall shifter world is just amazing. The Savannah place seemed like just a gorgeous place with diverse and happy people and toddlers shifting into panthers, such a gorgeous image and my imagination was enjoying every minute of it.

The character building has been exponential, I loved Poppy for finally finding her way and embracing the fact she’s a lycan right now, the way we get to see the transformation through her eyes was mindblown I really loved to get a prim-plan of her transformation, so gorgeous. However, some of the characters really changed so drastically, the ones you thought will always remain close to Poppy were exactly the ones betraying her – for good reasons, but still, it stings seeing them just break apart.

The plot, in my opinion, was towards the final of the book which made the ending just perfect leaving you wanting to continue with the series and I am very excited to read the next one because the plot thickens and there is so much going on.

First let me say I loved this paranormal romance about rising above oppressive forces through staying true to yourself, trusting your instincts and fighting for what is right.

New World Shifters is a set in a dystopian shifter dominated future with echos of a Handmaids Tale-esque reality which resonate throughout the story. Through the experiences of the heroine, Poppy, it tells the story of a seemingly bleak society where Werewolves are the dominant creature, controlling the lives of humans through fear and threat of violence. All in the name of survival of the species.

Rise of the Wild Moon is the third book in the series, picking up right where book two left off. Knox and Poppy have been exiled, she is injured and must learn to negotiate the perils of living in the wild. To add to her woes she is dealing with losing her fated mate and (to top it off) has to figure out everything that goes with becoming a lycan.

Through these challenges Poppy has to confront some of her biggest fears, come to grips with the complex realities of a world where everyone has an agenda and is prepared to use whatever means they deem necessary to get their way.

This is my favourite of the three books in the series so far. I loved seeing Poppy grow into force to be reckoned with.

Bring on book four.

O. M. G.

You must read the first two books, and not just because they're good books. This story won't make much sense without them.

I wasn't sure what would happen to Poppy after all the crazy that happened in book 2. She distrusts her new surroundings and rightfully so. But she also tells herself a tale that isn't quite accurate to lessen the blow. She knows it isn't true, and yet she hangs on to it. And having it repeated for the first part of the book was frustrating because it wasn't true. But I get it. She needed to be angry. It was better than being heartbroken.

Despite the hurt and heartbreak though, Poppy finds strength she's always had, just didn't know how to possess. She stands up for herself and isn't easily swayed. She knows what she's about. She knows her convictions.. I really liked seeing her in this role.

And boy, is she going to need it. I was very disappointed in several characters at the end. Clearly the lycan they were traveling with were no better the worst of the wolves. And they sided with them anyways. Maybe they can redeem themselves in the next book.

Book Three of the New World Shifter Series convinces with new plot twists, higher stakes, and a character development arc for it's main character, Poppy. It manages to do some of the things better than the first two books (such as actually making us care for some of the characters and giving real depth to the protagonists by letting them exist in the moral grey), and ends fantastically, leaving me to crave the sequel ASAP.

If you enjoyed the first two titles and are looking for stronger character development, a plot that raises the stakes and comes with several surprises, and you're desperate to know how Poppy and Ryne will meet again, do check this book out!

However, the book also has some weaknesses. Poppy remains a bit oblivious to some character's motivations, and some of their decisions seem kind of ad hoc and aren't well developed, in particular at the very end. Despite some of these shortcomings though, the book is very entertaining and a well-done continuation of the story. I am excited to read the last installment of the series!

Overall Rating 4.5/5 rounded up to 5

Okay, I'll be completely honest, for as much as I adore Poppy's character, I was frustrated with her for the first half of the book. However, she does redeem herself and... She begins to mature in a different way than she had when she was among the wolves, and fighting for her right to stay out of the mating houses, and protect her friends. This book was where Poppy shined in so many areas and had to grow in others. I actually really liked that The Resistance had more of a role in this book as well. The reader gets a far deeper understanding of The Resistance and who it consists of. I really enjoyed the twists Rise Of The Wild Moon took and I definitely have my own theories surrounding the Lycan's saliva/bite. I can't wait for the last book, I'm dying to know what Ryne's fate is! Heck, I'm SUPER curious to see Laik's plans play out and how Poppy and her small crew are going to foil them!

I love how short these books are. And I HATE how short these books are.
It’s so easy to get wrapped up in them!

I’m so invested in Poppy and Ryne it’s probably not healthy.
I love that we get to see the Lycan up close and personal and that even though Poppy’s been infected she’s still herself.
I love that Ryne and Poppy finally get to be together. And I really enjoyed Faye’s character arc.
Disappointed doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel about Grady and Knox, and hopefully they fix what they just broke.

The ending was a cliffy. Which I totally expected but still wasn’t ready for.

This book felt like it was a total of ten pages long. I devoured it so fast. Read it in like two hours and needed the next book ready and available to me immediately!!! But now I have to wait six more long months before I can see what our rag tag crew do to save the shifter world!

I’m so happy I stumbled upon this series. This was a really excellent middle novel.

I love this series! Somehow I thought this was the last book- it’s not. This is the third book in the series and they need to be read in order.
This story starts where book two ended. Poppy has been bitten by a lycan. Ryne takes her to the city limits and has Knox go with her. They set out on their journey and end up with a group of lycans. Poppy is strong willed and doesn’t follow orders very well. It does end up being to her advantage. These lycans are part of the Renaissance and Poppy ends up seeing her friends and helping out. We find Joanna and Grady and Charlotte. We meet the Panthers in this story. (They have an awesome town) Poppy is reconnected with Ryne. This is a coming together story. I loved it! In the end, yes, we are thrown a curveball. I can’t wait for book 4! I highly recommend this series if you want a good ride!

This book was so great!! Every time I think I know something I am wrong! I love that it isn't predictable. I love that Poppy is discovering her own power and who she is. She isn't just letting everyone tell her what to do or trusting blindly. Poppy is making mistakes but also growing as a person and getting things right. She is admitting when she messes up and keeps right on trying to be a good person and help everyone. This book had me on the edge of my seat and I can not wait until the next one. I want to write so much more but I really do not want to put spoilers in my review. Just know you will be happy, sad, and even a little mad while reading it then on the edge of your seat begging for the next book.

It was such a treat being back in this world that Nina and Kimberly have created. We’re back with Poppy, and this picks up right where book 2 left off. If you haven’t read up to book 2, beware there are spoilers below!

Poppy has been bitten and will undergo the process of being Lycan. She’s scared, worried, and wonders what will become of her once she’s gone through the change. Will she lose herself or have some kind of control? Will she ever see Ryne again?

On top of that, she now is more involved with the Resistance than she ever was before. How can she help now, and will they accept her help?

So many more questions were raised that I hope will be answered in book 4. Also, what a cliff hanger for the end of book 3! I am dying to know what happens in book 4 and can’t wait for that to come out!

Wow.
Book three was POWERFUL!
The depth and growth in this book was absolutely incredible! Like INCREDIBLE!!
I've devoured this whole series, but Wild Moon was just a whole other level.

Poppy makes some pretty hefty decisions in this whole series - and consequently, some big mistakes too - but that's what makes her a really lovable and relatable character. She's grown up so much since the first lines of the series! There was definitely some great side stories going on in book 3 and I'm super curious to see where some of the little tidbits lead to.
Really hoping time flies for book 4 to come out because I don't think I'm going to be able to concentrate fully until I know what happens next 😭😉

Book 3 of a series and not to be read as a standalone.

Picking up where book 2 left us, Poppy has been bitten, and has until the next full moon until she turns in to a Lycan, instead of killing her, Ryne sends her in to the wilds with Knox where they are picked up by a group of Lycans.
Now she is out of Wolf city, Poppy is shocked to learn the true size of the Resistance and is determined to help free the humans from the wolves.

This is a fast paced instalment with violence, betrayal and a cliffhanger ending. Poppy is growing in confidence and i can’t wait to see how she handles what comes next.

Amazing how the suspense and intriguing situations have escalated in this book. After being bitten by a Lycan it seemed that Poppy's fate was cast, but she has continued to grow in strength and determination. Her ideas were clear and despite the mistakes made, she shows her capabilities. Things with the Resistance are not as expected and now Poppy has another situation to worry about. I'm raving about Rune because things have gotten really bad for him, and I have no idea how the authors are going to work with it. This book is full of action, suspense, intrigue, betrayal, violence, romance, and passion. Voluntarily reviewed this copy that I enjoyed.

The New World Shifters series is a must read!

The New World Shifters series is great. I love all the twists in this series. As the plot of the story starts to unfold. Poppy grows so much in this book. She learns how to stand up for herself and how to overcome obstacles when they are presented to become a leader. She appears to have created an unexpected alliance and has learned there are both good and bad in all species..

I can't wait for the forth book in this series to see if Poppy and her new alliance create a new Resistance or if they can fix the current one and build a new and improved kingdom where all species can live together.

I enjoyed reading this installment of Poppy’s story. I especially loved how much character growth she developed over the course of this book. The romantic arc takes a super low point since her lycan status, among other things, makes it seem impossible for her and Ryne to be together. I enjoyed learning more about the resistance and the lycans and seeing the world expand a bit from what I saw in the previous books. The end is a bit of a cliffhanger, so I’ll be struggling to be patient while I wait for the next book to come out.

I received a free advanced copy of this book and this is my honest review.

This book had plenty of unexpected twists to keep the avid reader of this series intrigued. Poppy is still a little too whiny and immature for my taste, but she finally steps up and starts to be a Leader instead of a pawn in the politics of the wolves.

The authors have created a great set of characters and an interesting world with this series. I agree that some of the book seems like something I have read before, but I think that happens when you read a lot of books in the same genre.

I look forward to seeing what the authors have in store for the main characters in the next book. I am hoping for an HEA ending, but you never know!

Poppy and Knox have gotten out of the Wolf City which isn't easy since Poppy has been bitten. They are not only hiding from the wolves who might be looking for them but also from the Lycans that are outside the boarders of the town. They find themselves in the midst of a lycan camp. Poppy and Knox try everything to keep themselves safe while dealing with the fact that Poppy is going to change soon. Things back in the city are tense as Thorn has taken up residence there since his marriage to Ella. Ella manages to run away but the wolves are looking for her. Ryne is in a tough spot and needs help to try to what is best for the wolves and the woman.

Book 3 in this addictive supernatural series has grabbed my attention effortlessly, hooking me good and tight until book 4 releases because once again I am left with a cliffhanger that has me begging to find out what happens next. After being bitten and banished, Poppy is tossed into the world of the lycans. Now one of them, and still heavy with heartbreak, she must deal with this major transformation while fighting with the resistance. But is it the right move? Who are her friends and who are her enemies? Will she loose her mate forever, all because of one mistake?

Resistance in Peril

Loved this third in the New World Shifters series. Poppy and Knox make it to a Lycan camp only to be herded around the country, lied to, betrayed...until a plan goes array and Ryne is back in her life. Together with members of the resistance, plots are hatched and skirmishes undertaken, only to have one ally deceive the cause.

Great new characters and the return of some old ones. Solid 5.5 stars. Highly recommend and eagerly anticipating the next instalment.

Oh my gosh, I love this book! Poppy has had a lot of character growth through the series and it continues in this one. I especially love the growth she goes through when it comes to coming to terms with her lycan side by the end. She's not afraid to do what she believes is right and owns her mistakes. For me, this book has the biggest cliffhanger yet and I'm dying to know the fate of her and Ryne.

Poppy and Knox find themselves in the wilds after the festival. They are taken in by a group who are more than they seem and Poppy does not trust the leader Laik. It's a fast paced read. We get to meet new faces and see some old ones. Things have never more dire Poppy and Ryne though and those they call friends. The stakes are high. What an intense and fantastic read with heck of cliffhanger. Can't wait for the next book. I volunteered to read this book.

If you have been following this series, you know these characters spring to life effortlessly. Through each book, each character has been growing with the suspenseful storyline. Mistakes are made, that happens with maturity. I am truly hooked! More and more I am blocked from being able to predict a clear path to certain characters being able to obtain their HEA. Another slam dunk book that made it impossible for me to put down! I’m hooked! All my reviews are always voluntarily written.
