I enjoyed it
I have to admit, Kyrie does some pretty stupid things in the beginning. Hell, his plans almost get his teammates killed. To give credit where it’s due though, his last one was just what they needed to buy them some more time. I was on the edge of my seat when he made those seemingly impossible shots. But low and behold, he did.
Kyrie’s a typical high school: He’s not always bright, thinks too loud sometimes, and of course is horny. But, he can be clever, sensitive and he came through in the end.
His friend, Andrei, though, was pretty annoying. First he went from not believing him to begging to board the Lagolians ship. At least he proves his usefulness. Still, I hope we see less of him in future installments.
As for the Lagolians, they’re obviously interesting themselves. I find it interesting that their language sounds like Danish. I’ve always wanted to learn that. It was nice to see Vega come around towards the end. She’s jaded, yet for good reason. Kuzu’s the cheerleader Kyrie needed for his plan to work. Eris was also a nice addition.
The sex of course was pretty good. It was short at times, but it was well done nonetheless and it didn’t linger. The kiss scenes were a great addition too. I have to admit, it was weird that an underage Lagolian named Iva, tried to sleep with him (despite being 15). That was creepy.
The action scenes are pretty gripping. Much like in war, it can get chaotic and confusing at times. I thought they were well done. It was cool to see Kyrie make the shots.
Bottom line, this was a good read. The characters are mostly fun (hopefully, Kyrie will get better as well as Vega), the premise is interesting (then again, how can you go wrong with Rabbit girls?), and the story has a lot of potential. Definitely going to read the sequel and I think you should too after reading this. Hop on in and check it out.
