A real-life prince. Like of a country. And he’s not one of those ugly ones with big teeth that girls only like because he’s royal. No, he’s hot. On fire. I’m drooling just thinking about him.
But that’s the problem, because the only reason my parents took him in is because they don’t think there’s any way a guy like him could crush on a girl like me.
I’m going to prove them wrong. I don’t know how. But I’m going to figure out a way to make Leopold Williams fall for me before I cross the graduation stage.
My son is 11 and reads all of Kelsie’s books, so here his take. ( 😉) I like Faith she was the really quite one. Almost like she was scared to be herself. But she does end up being herself. She is lost sometimes but she does learn that it is good to take care of yourself and feels. Leo she’s that she is a good person and he likes her A LOT. He never miss treats her. Sometimes there was sadness in this book but the book was really good! I liked it a lot. Thank you Miss Kelsie. I enjoy your books.
I had the opportunity to read the ARC for Curvy girls can’t date Princes. First let me start by saying I love this whole series, the friendships and sweet love interests have never disappointed me.
Faith and Leo are so sweet! I love how no matter how much they feel unseen by their families they are able to be their authentic selves with each other. Leo feels like all he is expected to be is a servant to his county and not able to Ames his own choices. Faith feels like she is not enough and so different from her family because she is adopted.
I cried like a baby during the last time few chapters because I am a huge baby and Kelsie wrote such a beautiful story. I can’t wait for the next book in the series and I hope we have a curvy girls 3.0 soon
Curvy Girls Can't Date Princes by Kelsie Stelting Rating: 4.5/5
Kelsie Stelting does it again! She writes a powerful story about self-love and acceptance that made me laugh and cry. As a huge fan of this series, I have enjoyed every story. Each one is truly transformative when it comes to body-positive issues plus identity as a growing young adult. I really enjoyed reading about Faith's journey and her love story with Leo. I am a huge fan of adoption but I have talked with adoptive parents before who wondered if what they did was truly the best for the child. The author really hits those poignant moments hard and asks the reader to question the motives of those who adopt children. Adopting someone into your home and life is a great thing but it also can come with childhood trauma from being torn away from your family and a hole in your heart. I applaud the author for addressing the issues that the parents and the adoptee have to deal with.
As someone who is a total romantic, I loved the idea of Leo falling in love with Faith. I loved his honesty and his passion. He himself was on a journey of self-discovery where Faith helped lead him.
“Everyone deserves to have someone to sit with at lunch.”
I also loved that the author also focused more on Tatiana. Real life. Real backgrounds. Real issues. Real insecurities. So good. Who doesn't love a story of redemption?
Highly recommend this inspirational story about young love, adoption, and parental dynamics that will make you believe in unconditional love.
My thanks to the author and publisher for providing me with an ARC of the book. All opinions expressed here are entirely my own. No positive review was expected and no compensation received.
This was cute. Young adult, curvy girl meets royalty, bully OW, the normal amount of drama. But is was a bit too sweet, very Christian and no intimate scenes not even closed door. I enjoyed it, but there was drama for the drama and everything was solved quickly. Not very believable, but overall not a bad choice to pick up.
Safety: Can’t get it any safer than this. No intimate scenes. Heroine a virgin, although it isn’t clarified in detail everything looks that way. Hero is her first kiss. I don’t think she was his first, and although nothing is clarified I would be surprised if he wasn’t a virgin too.

I loved this book so much. The characters had great growth. One of my favorite things about this book is the amount of awareness is got to issues on health and wellness. I loved how confident the heroine was in her own skin. Also, Léopold was such a sweet hero. I loved how he genuinely cared and was far from the stereotypical prince. The romance was super good and has that awesome sizzle. Highly recommend.
3.5 stars This is such a fast, engaging read. As always, we got characters that read like real people, people standing up for themselves but also being compassionate, and important topics to think about. Can’t wait to read the next one!
Throughout this whole story all I wanted to do was hug faith in a protective warm space x she has been through so much & to overcome what she did without breaking was just incredible x I do have to admit I felt like this story was just a tiny bit far fetched x like not about the fact that Leo was a foreign exchange student but the whole Prince & royalty status just felt far fetched to be real or to feel like that could truly happen for someone x I still really enjoyed reading this story, learning about Faith & her family as well as seeing her friendships grown not only within the Curvy Girls Club but also with an archenemy x Leo is everything anyone ever dreams of - A Real Life Prince haha x I've said before & I'll say it again if only the boys in these stories were real & I could have friendships like these girls have x I'm glad I have a couple girls in my corner ❤️
I started this book thinking that nothing could beat my love for “Curvy Girls Can’t Date Soldiers” but this book blew me away. Puts a whole new meaning to “couldn’t put it down”!!! Faith and Leo fit perfectly together, and even though they both have difficult and different home lives, love was enough to put it all behind in some ways. I couldn’t imagine going through everything either of them went through, but in the end, love won. By far my new favorite of the series and can’t recommend it enough
I loved this story. It's completely unrealistic, however, I think it's my favorite. I remember when my husband and I couldn't have children and thought it would never happen. At that time babies were being left everywhere including in dumpsters or beside dumpsters. I prayed to have a child that nobody wanted so I could be a mother. So this book pulled that out for me and the prince thing was seriously the cream of the crop. I mean who doesn't dream of their spouse being a prince? I got one. Great story. Plus, I ate crow with the part about Tatiana. Wow! Talk about a change and I'm so glad.
If you don't know me and somehow stumbled on this review pls stop reading. This doesn't concern you and it will not be helpful at all in deciding if you want to read this. Seriously go away this is private property i'm calling the cops.
Anyways.
It's been a few hours so i'm gonna do a long review of this book because i feel very passionately for this series. Normally it is a passionate dislike but this book really caught me by surprise. I gave the first book 4 stars and have been chasing that high ever since and this book delivered. Gonna split this into things i liked and things i didn't.
Things i liked: 1. First of all leopold is a king but i'm also concerned for him he's such a himbo. At moments i was like ?? what kinda mental gymnastics are your braincells doing right now to make you act like this. Like when he asked faith if her grandma was at the party i was like buddy you would definitely remember faith's grandma twerking on tatiana if that had happened, so like, take a wild guess. But he was great by which i mean a great well rounded character, good insecurities, so sizzling hot o la la, and some of his lines were so funny they threw me into orbit.
2. Tatiana was a queen. When she and leo's brother have their thing i was so happy, shawty bae deserves the world. I looove her joining the curvy girls. I hope she's ready for some skinny shaming and weird looks for finding american food unhealthy. (Fr what was that moment where Faith gets all defensive of it, have you seen american food, it's not easy on the arteries.) I hope there's more of Tatiana in the future but i've also learned not to put my faith into these books.
3. Speaking of Faith.... She was cool, the author apparently thinks she's a blonde but i'm sorry, she's a brunette. I make the rules around here. I really liked that she decided to actively pursue leo to prove her parents wrong but i wish leo hadn't come around quite so quickly, ie, almost immediately. Still though i actually wanted them together which was a first. That scene in the ocean? Had my palms sweating i was so ready for the kiss that NEVER CAME. Ugh, loved it. Still i wish they hadn't gotten together so suddenly. I know one cannot have it all, but i reeeally wanted that.
4. Anyways. A problem i usually have with these books is that the guy is ALWAYS "physically perfect omg look at those muscles" and it just feels weird in a book that's supposed to be championing body positivity? It feels very girls-only club. But in this book there were some moments were Leo felt insecure as well on account of not being a beefy beefed-up beefcake and so i liked that.
5. THE DIALOGUE WAS SO FUNNY. BAHAHAHHAA. Leo's sense of humor was *chef's kiss*. Faith had her moments as well, and they were numerous. Fr the banter was so scrumptious i forgot i was supposed to dislike this book. Humor so good i forgot my own name and the fact that they got together at the TWENTY FIVE PERCENT MARK. You know how funny a romance has to be to make me forget that?? extremely.
Reason i'm not giving five stars is many. Allow me to explain. 1. Why is there so much skinny shaming like um what did they ever do to you. All this stuff about them blowing over in the wind. Have you met skinny people?? I have tried to push several and let me tell you they do not go down that easy. 2. I wish leo had other friends i have had enough of these curvy girls. Love them but also it's been like four books of the same friend group. 3. The way they got together was. Um. Left much to be desired. I do not want leo to tell faith he wishes he kissed her in the ocean. I want leo to yearn in silence a little longer, SILENTLY wishing he kissed her in the ocean, and then kiss her some other day. 4. I for reals could not tell you a single personality trait Faith has. I know what she wants to do after highschool and that's nice and all but like seriously when she gets home how does she fill her time? leo. When she isn't with leo how does she fill her time? thinking about leo. Makes you wonder what's going on in her mind. (Answer: leo)
Anyways everything aside this book was so tasty. Stayed up until like 5am reading it and had to force myself to pause for sleep. So addicting. The dialogue, muah, the Leo, muah, the, uh, actually that's it. But it was good B)

It’s funny how In these books the girls don’t have much of Selection of nice pretty clothes. Whereas in reality, there be some nice clothes in the plus size. They be better than the junior/women size.
I wish I can read a book where a slim girl have the exact same problems as plus size women. Because you think about it we all are the size.
Both get talk down and talk about, about our sizes. Our looks, our skin colors, etc. there’s no difference. Only have to learn to love yourself in our own body.
I think that Faith dealt with so much hurt from her adopted family. Then on top of that from bullies in school that it’s hard for her to love herself. With the help of Leo, I think she’s getting there.
Plus it’s something up with Tatiana I think she got so much hurt inside of her that she takes so much anger out of Faith and her friends to make herself feel better. Just use their size, to hurt them knowing they all have insecurities as much as she does.
Just look at - read what her mom said “Go try on that orange dress. Let’s see if it makes your thighs look slimmer.” Like who says that to someone who’s already on the slimmer size. It’s the same way as with someone who’s thick.
Why say to someone who’s slim “who need to gain weight, you are way to small” and or to someone who’s thick or fat “you need to lose some weight, you eat to much”. When reality you cannot help something. Unless you exercise, or do everything you can to gain weight and nothing works and vise versa.
I can’t wait until Faith learn to love herself. And Tatiana stop being a cunt.
Thank god Tatiana learn to stop being mean. I love that because in reality she wasn’t a mean person. It’s interesting to see if or learn if she and Barley uhh hold on “Barclay” will end up together. I think she’ll fit right into Leo’s family.
Also what in the world kind of name is Leopold. I can’t pronounce it lol. I just kept saying loop-pole 🤦🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️. Oh well. I like “Leo” better. But anyways. I felt like Faith cried to much it kind of got on my nerves. Whereas I felt bad for her when it came to her parents. Especially her mom. That lady was mean in my opinion. Especially with how she talked about Faith and treated her. I was glad when she and her husband finally came around. After Faith wouldn’t talk to them. Which I didn’t blame her for.
Also; Leo mom was a horrible person too. I think when someone become popular or famous/royalty it goes to their head. I think it did with Leo mom. Smh 🤦🏽♀️ that lady know she was wrong finally realize that when both her sons went to America to get Faith.
I’m for the happy ending! But I’m really not into books with a lot of chapters :/ 😞. Because I get tired of reading them. I get distracted from reading them. Even when they are good books to read. This one was actually good. But I thought seventy-four was ALOT. but glad I read it to, read Faith’s happy ending! I already know Des book going to get LOOOOONG to lol 😂 but it’s okay. I’m going to read that too. Lol!
I should have trusted my gut with this one. But it had a 4+ star rating and pretty cover... so I hoped it was gonna be cute. And it was such cringe. Had to force myself to finish it.
Plus size characters are cool, but not when being fat is their entire personality. This MC complained about being fat the whole book, with just minor breaks to complain about her acne or adoption. She was insufferable. All the other characters comment are her weight, to the point it veers towards fetishizing. The book was so vapid and lacked depth.
Even the "prince" premise... like this author doesn't really understand what a royal family is and blatantly did zero research. Maybe the book would have had a shred of plausibility if it had been an Ambassador or Prime Minister's son, they still could have kept a "Prince Charming" type with an accent. He didn't speak like a royal or any teenage boy to ever actually exist. His "royal" family also had a surname. And his identity was supposed to be a secret, but he used his legal name and told everyone he was from the country his parents rule. But apparently everybody in this book is super dumb and has also never heard of Google.
A true example of bad "insta-love." The writing was not there, whole thing was cliche-riddled, and everything these two said about the other sounded so unhinged and immature. But like his parents are supposed to be villains for somewhat pointing this out. Speaking of parents, hers are super Christian and also pretty hypocritical and awful. I can't tell if it was a criticism or self own by the author.
Also... kind of was giving misogyny. The mothers are all "villains," the girls kind of hate and talk sht about each other constantly. Like, a prince wanting to spend a semester at a Christian high school in California was supposed to be believable... but women not constantly tearing one another down was beyond the realm?
This book was something you proudly write as a 12yo girl, not something you seriously publish as an adult. It's embarrassing. It wasn't even so bad it's good, or endearing in any way, it was just bad.
Okay, I've been in a writing funk, but baby, have I been reading, so expect a few reviews.. starting with my Curvy Girls series!!
Okay, so in book number 9, we had Faith and Leo-the prince. Now this storyline both intrigued me but also had my eyes ROLLED in the back of my head. I don't know about my fellow black/plus size readers, but our storylines are out of this WORLD! Ex: Married to a billionaire, Suggarote to the mafia boss, The CEO wants to have my babies, He calls me cupcake blah blah blah now am I being dramatic? Just a tad bit, but I hate when plus-size characters have to have outrageous storylines, but this is Stelting's book, and she can do what she wants to boo, and she does a dang good job!
With that being said, Leo was really freaking sweet-I mean sweet as pie and everything nice. Here are a few moments where Leo really shine:
"I just wanted to spend a moment alone with you. Sometimes I tire of sharing you."
"I outweigh you by more than fifty pounds, Leo." "And?"
Cue me falling in love real quick, lol! In all seriousness, being plus size, I can be very wary of men and their responses to my plus-size status. For example, I had a guy say to me that I wasn't fat. You know the type of fat like mama June fat, and while I said thank at the time, grinning like a little school girl. It wasn't till later that I realized that although it was meant to be complementary, it was such a shaming and ugly comment. So I like that Leo didn't know everything about plus-size women but was willing to learn and handle certain topics with grace. He respected that some things were trigging for Faith, watched his vocabulary, and didn't push her to accept everything about herself right away. Lastly, I thoroughly enjoyed that he didn't make it out like Faith was the most beautiful girl in the world, but just so very beautiful to him inside and out. The reality is I don't need someone to tell me I'm skinny or that I am the most beautiful girl in the world because those things aren't true, but just love me, and that will be enough.
Now Faith... I'll keep it real short with my girl Faith because I liked her, but I wished she stopped crying so much at every little thing. I wanted to see her just once communicate her emotions and say what and who she wanted. I've come to a place where I've dealt with many regrets, so be freaking selfish and take what you want, definitely if what you want wants you back.
In conclusion, I think Faith's story does well at handling new topics that many of us curvy girls deal with that the past books didn't quite talk about. For example, being plus size in a family. How funny is it that your family or, more specifically, male figures who swear up and down how beautiful you are but have no problem talking bad about other plus-size girls? How am I worthy of different body shape love when the own people around me wouldn't choose someone who looks like me? Another topic Stelting nails are the physical body shape and look of Faith. She was covered in acne and wasn't wrapped in perfectly placed curves, and this is so so important! Not all of us plus-size women get our weight so beautifully distributed, have a perfect wardrobe, flawless skin, or even know how to do makeup. However, that doesn't mean we don't deserve to be loved or seen as beautiful because there is nothing more I hate then when people want to pick and choose the perks of particular plus-size women.
So, no matter the type of curvy girl you are, you deserve the world, babe. So never settle for less and find a man that will pick your acne like Leo sis (EWWWW, I CRINGE AT THAT PART TOO, HAHA SUFFERING WITH ME AGAIN!)
Book #9 in the Curvy Girls Series. These stories are so real and the emotions are raw and relatable. I think I have cried at the end of almost every single book in this series. Curvy Girls Can’t Date Princes is Faith’s story. Her family consists of her mom and dad and 4 brothers. Her parents are church goers and are known to teach abstinence and because of this they have been given the opportunity to be a host family to Leo. Or Leopold Williams; prince of Laughlin. Faiths mother doesn’t think Leo would be interested in her at all so that’s why he is allowed to stay at the house. Leo sees Faith for who she is and not for her appearance though. I loved how real Leo seemed considering he is a prince who has everything done for him or handed to him. Faith is not only struggling with her feelings for Leo but she is also adopted but has no idea who her birth mother is. I loved the grandmother in this story and I was really glad that Faith had her in her life. She was definitely a highlight to this story as was Leo and his feelings for Faith. I love how supportive the curvy girls are to each other and even a few interesting outsiders. I did feel like this story dragged on a bit in the beginning but things definitely picked up after the prom scene. I’m glad we finally got to find out who is paying for these AV club lunches and we got to see some huge character developments. I enjoyed Barclays character as well and I thought the bonus scene was a cute first date for a certain couple.
Not my favorite Curvy Girls book, but there was still lots to love. Princes and proms are always at the top of my read list.
It was great to get to know Faith in this book. She was always the quiet one in the other Curvy Girls books so it was nice to get some perspective into her life. Like the other girls in this series, Faith has some unique circumstances that she's forced to face and overcome. I loved seeing her come out of her shell and develop into a more powerful character.
Leo on the other hand was not so enjoyable. He was a super bland character and probably my least favorite thing about this book. He just seemed to be a supporting character to Faith. There to hold her hand and whisper sweet nothings into her ear when she needed it. I could tell there was some effort made in trying to make him into a more dynamic character, but it just didn't translate for me.
I also wasn't in love with the wishy-washy family issues for both Faith and Leo. I think things were worked out the best way possible, but the family members and their relations didn't feel very natural.
As I mentioned, this wasn't my favorite Curvy Girls book, but there was still lots to enjoy. Can't wait for the next Curvy Girls book!

A few months ago when Kelsie announced Curvy Girls Can't Date Princes, I was SO excited for her to tackle a royal romance! As usual, she did not disappoint! Faith is such a compassionate and kind friend throughout the CGC 2.0 series that I knew she would deserve an epic Happily Ever After. With the brave face and kindness she shows those around her, you would never know the scars she has from her life as an adoptee. Diving into her head, you see a woman who has faced trauma, insecurities, and loneliness and yet is wise beyond her years and resilient. Leo notices her genuine character and kindness and appreciates her for who she is right off the bat. He helps her to see her worth, and she truly blossoms as her confidence grows. I also really appreciated the pacing of this story. Unlike many YA romance books, the couple gets together early on. Since there is plenty of angst in other parts of the storyline, I loved Leo and Faith getting to tackle life's challenges head on TOGETHER. Given the maturity level of these characters, I also felt it was more true to life that way. I definitely recommend this book!
I received a free Advance Reader Copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I read this after some long shifts at work. I was tired and just wanted a cute, simple romance. I had heard of the Curvy Girl Club books before, but I wasn’t super interested in reading any of them. However, I am a sucker for anything royal! Add in a fat girl and I’m sold; it’s really that easy for me.
Despite being book 9 in the series, this is my first Curvy Girl Club book, so I have no experience with the other books. I usually wouldn’t read anything out if order, even if each book centers on new characters, but thus is the one that interested me the most.
The writing is a little stilted, and the plot is slightly off; I feel like timing and pacing suffered throughout. They fell for each other within two weeks, despite not seemingly interested in one another at their frustrations meeting. I also feel like Stelting was leaning too heavily on Leo being foreign. Of course, things in America, like slang, wouldn’t be obvious, but Leo had a hard time understanding Faith’s life as a fat girl, and that’s not because he’s foreign, but because he doesn’t understand fatphobia.
I think maybe this book hit a little too close to home for me, and that's why I wasn't completely enamored by it. However, I did love it enough to pick up the previous book in the Curvy Girl Club series, and I'm so glad I did. But anyway...about this book! The protagonist of this book is Faith, who describes herself as weighing more than 300lbs with a faceful of acne. Her adoptive parents treat her like a second class citizen and her brothers ignore her, but her miserable life changes when Leo, a foreign exchange student, shows up and promptly falls for her. Leo is a real-life prince trying to spend some time living as a normal person before he has to take on his political duties. This book was sweet and innocent. As I said, maybe some things hit a little too close to home, and I was bothered by both how Faith's parents treated her and how Faith treated herself. But it is a lovely story well worth reading, even if I did like all the other CGC books so much more.
Okay, I need me a Leo! He was absolute perfection! Not once did he judge Faith for anything. From the moment he met her he wanted to understand her and didn't understand why her own family undermined her, which was kind of sad. Faith let him in and opened up to her friends, she really grew into herself and it was BEAUTIFUL 😍 I also loved that this story didn't have unnecessary drama between them. They got together fairly quickly and I was worried something dumb would make them turn on each other but they stayed strong! The drama happened because, of all places/things, the parents! Omg, I almost lowered my rating to 4 stars because the parents aggravated me SO much! But it's a romance and the stars were perfect so....it deserved 5 stars haha Leo's mother was just over controlling to the point of cruelty and kind of mental. And poor Faith....her whole family just belittled her time and time again and expected her to love them for it smh Broke my heart, but I'm glad our girl got her Happily Ever After 🥰
While I love all the books in the Curvy Girl series, this newest one has to be my favorite. You learn about quite sweet Faith from the others’ stories. But finally she gets her own. Your heart breaks when you find out that she doesn’t feel highly of herself because of her looks and most of those feelings are fueled by her parents. Though they are feel they’ve “saved” her from a dire situation at birth, they continue to treat her “less than”. When she finally meets Leo, she starts to see herself through his eyes. I truly thought Cori was the strongest character in this series. After this book, there’s no doubt it’s Faith. She is able to overcome so much. She has nothing but empathy for everyone she meets. I cried so much reading this book. It will tug at your heart strings. This story far surpasses any in the series thus far.
Each story gets better! I think for me this one might be hard to beat. Faith is the sweetest most caring person, but there is fire that burns in her. All the most caring, quiet people have it without it the would surely wither away. Leo foreign exchange student / aka secret prince he sees right from the beginning how special Faith is, he doesn't really understand how or why her family seems to just cast her aside. But slowly Leo and Faith forge a friendship that soon becomes more despite the complications. This coming of age story has so many emotions, lessons, truths, and just simple little things people need to be reminded of tucked into it, it's worth reading multiple times. It's beautiful and so well written I can't wait to have my daughters read it and recommend it to my friends.
Faith has been so quiet and reserved I am so happy to get her story. We learn what makes her tick, her unique experiences and watch as she grows and makes her voice heard.
Initially, I feared I wouldn’t like Leo, that he would be a snob and would have to over come that. Fortunately we learn early on that is not the case AT ALL.
I like that both characters had issues they needed to overcome. They both needed to mature, which is appropriate for YA.
As a curvy girl who found her HEA as a YA I really appreciate the conviction these characters have to their commitment to each other and a future together. Teen years are just plain difficult, but having additional “challenges” really adds to the stress. This series is not only realistic, but relatable. They really do happen.
I have loved every book this author has written. There are bits & pieces of me in each girl from the bullying to the challenges they each face in their own story.
This is Faith's story, whom she was adopted & known as the dumpster baby. It is her senior year & her family volunteers for a foreign exchange student program. Not just any foreign student but a real prince.
Leo comes to live with the family & since he and Faith are the same age, she introduces him to her friends and the campus. Faith is forbidden to have any romance with Leo while under the same roof but that doesn't stop the sparks fly between these two.
Will Faith be able to find herself if she can investigate where her real family is? Will Leo be able to love who he wants & go on another adventure before he returns to his prince duties back home?

✨ The Title/Cover Draw: I have read almost all the books in this series so I really wanted to read the current one. Thanks to Kelsie for letting me read this ahead of publication.
💜 What I liked: Everyone should have a guy like Leo even if just as a friend! He is kind, humble, and stands up for people. There is also redemption of some previous characters we didn’t like so much. I did also appreciate that the conflict didn’t totally reside between the main couple as a misunderstanding. The trope was different, and I liked it.
😱 What I didn’t like: The beginning was a little slow but it kicked into gear after a few chapters.
🚦 My face at the end: 🥰
💭 5 Reasons to Read: 1. Plus Size Representation 2. Royalty 3. Quilts 4. Prom 5. Beaches
🕧 Mini-Summary: Faith is about to graduate when her family becomes a host for the prince of a small country posing as an undercover foreign exchange student.

Thank you Kelsie for always letting me read these early! I enjoy this series so much and I absolutely adore everything she writes. All opinions are my own.
Kelsie, you have done it again! Faith's story is one filled with heartache, hope and a beautiful road to self discovery and love. I wasn't adopted, but I met my half sister at 16. She's told me a lot about her journey being adopted and reading this reminded me a lot of what my sister's told me if was like for her. This book made me so emotional. But, it was so good. Incredible, honestly.
The journey Faith takes with Leo is also so sweet. His nature to just see a person for who they are inside is heartwarming. They might just be one of my favorite couples. This was an absolute smash! I adored every minute of it! Now, I can't wait for the next one. They just keep getting better and better!
After taking a hiatus from the Curvy Girls club, I was excited to come back and read the next installment. Not sure if it was all the time between reading the last one and this one, or just the writing itself (who am I kidding - it was the writing), but I couldn’t really enjoy this one.
The author described Faith (from her love interest’s point of view) as “sturdy” and and wrote that the prince was “intrigued by the way her body moved and changed shape as she sat or stood”. Really? 🤦♀️
Also, the love story between Faith and the prince was a classic case of insta-love and I am not a fan! It happened so quickly and I was left wondering why exactly made him fall in love with her before he even knew her.
There were also a lot of publishing errors and it felt very rushed and not well thought out. Oh well…
This book was beautifully written and I personally really enjoyed this book.
The book follows the story of faith and Leo. Faith is a well behaved girl who was adopted a birth and feels like part of her is missing. When the foreign exchange Leo who happened to be a prince came to stay at her house she never expected him to fall in love with her.
This book is a strong he falls first and a lovely one at that. Leo is such an amazing character and I loved the way he defended faith any chance he could.
This book does touch some hard subjects like adoption, self hate, and control. However they are written in a very sensitive manner. I have this book 5 stars and recommend you give it a read.
