Wrecking a motorcycle isn’t the best way to meet the Daddy of your dreams. Or is it? Benjamin Harper's ex may have turned out to be a dud in the Daddy department, but that’s okay, now that he is single, he has time to work on the old motorcycle his father left him when he died. The only problem is Benjamin doesn’t know a piston from a push rod. It doesn’t take him long to realize he needs some help. Lucas Vaughn loves his life. His business Vaughn’s Custom Cycles is doing better than he ever dreamed. The only thing missing is a boy to call his own. At least until Benjamin literally crashes in to his life. When Benjamin makes a risky decision that lands both him and his motorcycle in the ditch, Lucas comes to the rescue. But will his knight on shining armor turn out to be a dud like his ex? Or could Lucas be the Daddy he had always dreamed of? If strong men who work hard, play hard, and love even harder are your thing you won't want to miss the Blue Collar Daddies series.

Lucas owns a motorcycle shop. and when Ben...who had no idea how to ride a motorcycle but thought he'd give it a try just to see if he was going to like it, crashes the bike...Lucas, who had detailed the bike for Ben's Dad, comes to his rescue. That's what brings the two guys together. Ben isn't really looking for a "Daddy" since his recent breakup, but Lucas does tick all his "Daddy" boxes.

Like the first book, it's a sweet, low angst story with a "Happy Ever After" ending. This three-book series seems to all be composed of fairly short stories that are read on Hoopla by Kirk Graves, who does his usual fantastic job of giving the character's voice. I think one of the best aspects of this series is that the "boys" are portrayed as capable adult humans. They like their "Daddy/boy" relationship, but they are still capable of taking care of themselves and making adult decisions....and their "Daddies" respect them.

A side character that I hope will get his own story is Simon...Ben's ex. Ben's ex was a creep of the highest caliber who Simon had sense enough to pack up and leave. It seemed, without really saying so in this book, that he and Ben might becoming good friends in the future. On to meeting Cooper in book #3.

Slightly more enjoyable then the first but wasn’t anything I’ll remember! Cute sweet moments for sure but kinda bland…😅

I can’t help it, these books are just so easy to read. This instalment follows Lucas, one of the daddies intro’d in the previous book, and Benjamin who’s trying to finish his late father’s motorcycle project despite knowing nothing whatsoever about bikes. One thing leads to another and their paths cross and it’s full steam ahead from there.

The plot is simple and uncomplicated, and the writing is clean and easy (I’d definitely recommend this for a lazy Sunday read). Both characters had fairly good chemistry and the supporting cast was fun without being overbearing. My knee jerk reaction with such books is to ask for more plot — more depth — but this one’s actually perfect as is.

Oh and 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5 for the spice. Not particularly remarkable but very sweet.

Everyone sounded exactly as I expected but Kirt Graves’ moaning though… idk maybe he just needed to get into it?? I wasn’t buying it that first time but it was alright after that.

"Fixing motorcycles and loving you. That’s what I do."

That's basically the entire book. It was cute and sweet, but definitely not as good as the first one. Benjamin was already calling Lucas daddy by page 40, so there really wasn't enough build up or tension. But everyone is likable and I like that in both this book and the previous, the boys are able to offer help and support to their daddies too. They are empowered by the relationship and I love seeing that. Out of everyone introduced in book one, Lucas was probably the person whose story I was least excited for, so I'm definitely keeping my fingers crossed for the next books.

This was nice but it was actually the same story as the first one. I felt like rereading the same sentences. Lucas and Benjamin were really likeable characters but I read the first book (Ryder) the day before so I did not enjoy this very much.

Aweeee.

I adore Benjamin and Lucas. I adore instant attraction—second chance meeting and sweet love stories. This boy finding an amazing daddy after having a terrible man in his life—yes. Jacki James brings the feels with her story telling and slow burn to a flame. So good.

This is a minimal angst, maximum sweetness story about a Daddy (Lucas) with a motorcycle shop and a boy (Ben) who’s inherited his father’s custom motorcycle and has no clue how to fix it up. It’s meet-cute potential all over the place, but it stalls for a while because instead of just asking Ben if he has a partner, Lucas assumes, based on a two second glance at Ben’s annoying ex, that he’s clearly taken. (Can you tell that I’m a bit annoyed with Lucas and his assumptions?) I actually really liked pretty much every aspect of the story: it’s an easy read and it’s nice to see characters from the first book in the series come back in supporting roles. The relationship moves quickly, but the emotions feel substantial and real. I have to admit, however, that I’m not one hundred percent sold on Lucas. There’s a bit of a disconnect between the kind of Daddy Lucas thinks he is and the kind he actually is: he’s way more domineering than he recognizes (see his thoughts on rules (none for him, all for Ben) and his willingness to dish out “punishment” for something that, at least in my opinion, didn’t really warrant it (and not a fun punishment, like a “I am the boss of you and I’m taking something from you you want” punishment). As a Daddy, he didn’t really work for me, but I did really like Ben, and how happy they ended up being together. Lucas has his kind moments as well as his overbearing ones, and while he wasn’t my favorite, I’m glad I got a chance to read his and Ben’s story.

A cute story, maybe just a touch *too* cute for me, in what I like to read these days - and especially with Daddy kink, if it's too light and fluffy it just isn't fully working for me.

I also felt like a lot of stuff was told to us, them falling to a schedule and like the early days of their relationship it felt like things happened off-page and we were told about them? That's the type of stuff I want to read about, honestly.

A sweet story - and I think if you're new to Daddy kink or want it very lightly, then you will enjoy this.

I'm not an editor, but I'm pretty sure this book had several places where it used present tense, when it should have been past tense. I'm guessing these are self-published. This series is filled with cozy things like eating, cuddling and going on dates. This was very short. We really jump time and the next thing you know, they're moving in together. The paint job on the motorcycle was really touching.

A great low-angst read with a fabulous Daddy and sweet boy with a wonderful crew of characters to bring the world to life!
It stands alone but if you read Ryder first, you'd get a better appreciation for the surrounding characters.

Yes, Daddy

Benjamin really was just a sweetheart of a guy, and Lucas is exactly what he needs in a partner and a Daddy.

Yes, it was fluffy and sexy and low-angst and sweet. I was also SO much happier with this than with the book I read just previously, which has been a huge hit all over Amazon. Maybe I just needed something that was simple to clear up some lingering historical angst, but I feel better now. Hopefully I won't wait very long before reading the next Blue Collar Daddy book!

What a wonderful way to keep his Dad's memory alive to keep rebuilding the motorcycle Ben's dad started before his passed away. When Lucas contacts the family about a piece for the motorcycle the Dad ordered before he passed he and Ben meets and they talk a little about cycles. Through some mishaps Lucas and Ben start seeing one another and making time for each other. No pair is perfect but they have knowledge that sometimes life just gets in the way. They both work at keeping communication going.

I recommend you read in order.
I did receive an Arc for a review.

Beautiful

I love seeing these Daddies find their boys. Ben is a sweetheart. I wanted to hug him so much. Lucas is the perfect Daddy for him. I now want Simon’s story. Also, I’m wishing all kinds of bad Karma on the pecker head. I hate jerks like him. I hope we see him get his just desserts. He hurt two sweet angels and that’s unforgivable. I can’t wait to see who Cooper’s boy turns out to be. Same with Owen. I love this series.

This story continues in the same world than Ryder and again showed us another wonderful Daddy in the search for his forever boy. Full of heartwarming moments, little to no angst situations, steamy scenes and many familiar faces, this book is enjoyable and sweet, and presents us a very interesting view in the Daddy/boy relationship. Loved it!

Lucas and Ben are wonderful together. They are exactly what was missing from the other's life.
These two together have a perfect balance of sweetness and heat.
It’s a sweet low angst story that I really enjoyed reading. The buildup to their HEA is terrific.
This story is chock full of secondary characters that add just the right touch and make for a wonderful community.
I'm looking forward to the next book in the Blue Collar Daddies series.

Lucas by Jacki James is the second book in her Blue Collar Daddies series. It is the story of Lucas, who works long hours at his motorcycle shop, and Benjamin, who is an intern at a well-respected architecture firm. Lucas loves his job and is making a name for his shop but it leaves him little time for outside activities. He is friends with several other Daddies who meet up once a week for drinks at Big O’s bar. Benjamin has a motorcycle he inherited from his father but it needs work and he doesn’t know how to fix it even though he tries. He is a Boy but hasn’t found a Daddy that suits him and his ex is a pain and keeps bothering him even though they have broken up. Lucas sees him at a Daddy/Boy night at Club Verde and is immediately attracted to him but thinks he is taken because the ex is hanging around. Ben goes to his shop to look at a part for the motorcycle that his father had ordered so they meet in person. Ben asks for some help with his bike and it finally comes out that it was his ex at the club and not his boyfriend. The story continues from there as they begin dating and learning about each other. Lucas finds he can make the time to fit Ben into his life and gladly does this. Ben learns what it is like to have a caring and fun Daddy and they face problems together as they come up. This was such a sweet love story that had me from the first chapter. There wasn’t a lot of angst but it was still interesting and made me want to keep reading. I really enjoyed how Lucas and Ben met and how their relationship moved forward. The characters were well developed and the situations they were put in were realistic. The love scenes were hot and varied. I also liked how characters from the first book in the series appeared and helped the main characters with what was going on. I highly recommend this book and am looking forward to reading the next book when it comes out.

This was so much better! Lucas & Ben are perfect for each other. This is what a daddy/boy relationship should be like and it breaks my heart that my fav character Ryder couldn't get someone like Ben. No, he has to have that stuck up bitch as a partner. In this review i will compare Lucas & Ryder a little bit.

What i liked: ♦ Love is how easy it is to read them. Very simple narration, not too much going on. It's insta-lust which i love BUT it's also a slow burn? They don't get together until late in the books & this'll was like that too.

Sid as Lucas.

♦ At first i thought Lucas might be a self centred person cuz it would only be Ben who’d message him to check in and never the other way around, but midway through this, my view completely changed. Lucas puts Ben first and is perfectly happy with that (like there is a stark absence of “…which, i don’t mind” type shit like how one you-know-who kept saying regarding Ryder).

♦ During the aftercare i love how Ben let's Lucas take care of him. Compare that to Ryder's partner and how he would say nah just leave it, he can do it. Or would just clean himself but Ryder would clean them both. Now it sounds even more selfish. Can you tell i hate Ryder's guy? 🙄

♦ Lucas is hella romantic and Ben reciprocates it completely:

How about you, sugar? Are you ready to go out in public as my boy?”
“I’ve only been to things like this by myself, never with someone, but I can’t wait to go with you tonight. I love the idea that everyone there will know you’re my Daddy.”

Oh how i wish Ryder would get to have such romantic things with a good boy. Even in this book we hear Ryder’s supposed partner isn’t comfortable with Daddy clubs etc. Poor Ryder won't be able to join cuz of his bitch of a partner.

♦ There are 3 sex scenes and it even includes receiver pov and yet it was so well done! Plus (oral foreplay), begging in sex, moaning, TPE in bed, manhandling, & slight nip play.

And as always, i love a book which doesn’t use sex acts as fillers and just gets into sex (with sex acts as delicious foreplay, pun intended). This series is like that and i’m starting to think this is the author’s style.

What i didn’t like: ♦ This was more of a storytelling than showing. Not much dialogues and the MCs simply narrated their lives. And the time jumps happened with not much explanation. Also, i feel like too many things happen off page. They go for a date, but we don’t know what went there apart from a line or 2 said in passing. Their 1st bike ride happens completely off page as well. Ugh.

♦ There was a bit of angst in this though, since Ben’s ex was very stalkery and still treats Ben like filth. He’s also cheating on his current bf Simon (who’ll be the MC in Gunnar’s story). So, those confrontations had me kinda on edge.

All in all, i liked it and i guess i’ll remain angry that my favourite character didn’t get the love he deserved. But these guys are cute and finally i’m on to Cooper’s story.
