While I can’t say that I read every novella in this collection, I did read three of them in my Hebrew Lit. class. My favorite was “The Continuing Silence of a Poet” by Yehoshua.

Fascinating - a first time for me to enter the world of Hebrew literature, thanks to an Israeli house guest. Interestingly, I enjoyed best the one that explored the Arab world. I was also surprised by how inward-focused most of the novels were, given that the Israelis I have met have been outgoing and action-oriented.
