Book 9. This is about Carol and Mercy the 2 women that had lived in England and now live in the ruins of the North Pole Holiday Haven where Christmas is always welcome. in book 4. They own a inn Holiday Haven Inn. And Mrs. Clause had booked a VIP clients. for Solitude Beach Bash for all kinds of Holiday represents. Then the first client came in the Easter Bunny. Carol and Mercy were kinda surprised about the Easter Bunny. He really was a pain. Then Cupid was next he had a shiny aurora about him bright as sunlight and very handsome theirs was the Tooth Fairy. He was like a oversized pixie with a necklace wrapped around his neck with real teeth. Then lastly it was Fairy Godmother she wore holly leaf green dress with a red scarf wrapped around her neck and luscious dark long hair. Cupid had his bows and arrows with him and the owners Mercy asked are they dangerous. He said unless I use them to cast magic for love. Well that did. Kaitlyn one of the helpers and Mercy got struck by an arrow and they started gushing out their undying love for Easter Bunny ( Mercy) and Allfie the bear shifter and chef ( Katlyn). So Carol and some of her friends and Fairy Godmother tried to find out the one that tainted them. Love these series Winter Witches of Holiday Haven. Check them out. Different characters and different Authors in these series.
This book didn't really hold my attention. I liked how the easter bunny, cupid, the tooth fairy, the fairy godmother, etc were all represented. It was a really fun idea. Unfortunately, it just didn't work for me. The narration was fine though.
The Holiday Haven Inn takes a last minute booking from Clara Claus for her conference guests; Cupid, the Tooth Fairy, Easter Bunny and the Fairy Godmother. The 4 guests seem to create an excessive amount of issues as they argue and bicker between themselves before someone gets creative with Cupid's arrows and triggers some very unwanted feelings in first Kaitlyn then Mercy and Spencer.
Carol is running around trying to put out the fires of passion until the effects of the arrows wears off and normality resumes. But it's made harder when the Fairy Godmother is obliged to grant them three wishes each.
I'm still not engaged with the characters who have got no pleasanter and are still whiney and rather like to moan and blame each other. As far as "investigation" goes there is nothing doing for instance.. when Spencer says he saw EB go in all the rooms no one asks why.. it's just poorly done with weak dialogue..
Pros...No murder. I enjoy cozy mysteries but after awhile solving murders gets old. Cute storyline.
Cons...A good editor would catch most of the mistakes. Sentences were missing words. Main character is a whiney busy body. Not remembering what your characters are doing. Ex. Carol is holding the hat in reception. A paragraph later her sister is tossing her the hat.
Things that didn't make sense...People whispering because Carol was wearing sunglasses. In Ohio, sun reflects off the snow, and you need sunglasses. Maybe the North Pole doesn't have sunshine? Tailing a VIP to keep them out of trouble. What exactly was she going to do? "Trouble" supposedly follows him. The inn only has 4 rooms yet it has 4 floors. (Main, 2 guest levels and owner's floor) How can you afford a staff and stay in business? According to Spencer he witnessed the Easter Bunny search 3 different rooms while standing outside. How can that be when you have rooms on opposite sides of the hall and not that many room? Carol can't kick a VIP out of the in, but she can accuse him repeatedly and be rude. Carol has the culprit confess in front of everyone, and then gets irritated when they all start bickering.
This book had potential but lack of editing gave it three stars.
What's worst than being under Cupid's spell? Being under the spell and falling in love with the first face you see. And that face doesn't share your affection. Read this book that's at the Holiday Haven Inn and all the magical creatures, Fairy Godmother, Tooth Fairy, Easter Bunny, and Cupid are there to attend a conference put on by Clara Claus. Who gets hit with Cupids arrow, when Cupid is denying its his fault. What does Carol do to try to find out who used Cupids arrows, and how long does the spell last? Find out the answer to this question and more when you real this fun, delightful story.
Mercy arranges for Cupid, the tooth fairy, the easter bunny, and the fairy godmother to stay at the inn. Things get hinky when Kaitlyn, their worker, and Mercy are hit by love arrows. Cupid swears that it wasnt him and that hes missing arrows. Carol confiscates the arrows but struggles to keep everyone in their own corners. Then it turns out Spencer, the guy she likes, was also hit. When her sister shows up, Carol asks for her help in creating a hat that can help. And then the hat was stolen. The true culprit is someone surprising and for an interesting reason.
Buckle up for a hilarious stay at Holiday Haven Inn.
This is Elles seconds story set at the North Pole town of Holiday Haven, where supernaturals to have a break and Christmas treats can be bought all year long. This year a Summer Solstice Celebration is held amongst the snow. Imagine all your favourite childhood hero's staying in one Hotel. Guests include The Tooth Fairy Easter Bunnie and cupid. Yes you've guessed it Total Mayhem lots of conflict with a rival hotel owner and a budding romance. Everything a good Cosy should have.
The Easter Bunny, Cupid, the Tooth Fairy, and the Fairy Godmother walk into the inn. The Holiday Haven inn to be exact. And its no joke to Carol and Mercy, proprietors of the inn. A true bunch of divas to contain and try to please until the conference begins. Wishes and Cupid's arrows are involved, so trouble follows. Lived it!
As Holiday Inn is preparing for the summer solstice beach bash, the inn gets some VIP guests, Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, Fairy Godmother, and Cupid. Between the fighting between Cupid and the Easter Bunny someone steals some of Cupid's arrows and hits some staff members with the love trance. Excellent read with many fires to put out and many suspects.
This was actually quite entertaining and enjoyable - much better than the Winter Wishes story. It was quite witty and the characters were all quite interesting as they solved the mayhem caused by Cupid's arrows.
I am really liking this book and series of books they are so good! I am really enjoying the characters and story line of this series of books! The story line is so good and I am liking the characters in this series of books!☺☺☺
Welcome back to Holiday Haven Inn where the Cupid, the Easter Bunny, Tooth fairy and Fairy Godmother are staying! What in the heavens could go wrong with that! You’d be amazed! Carol and Merci have their hands full.
Carolyn Highcrest is the absolute worst of the Winter Witches of Holiday Haven. This entire book, like the one that introduced her, is just Carolyn jumping to conclusions and making wildly unfounded accusations at people. She's awful.
What’s better than Christmas in July? Christmas in July at Holiday Haven of course! Just enough crazy to keep the story going and a perfect ending. Thank you.
This is such a slapstick comedy of errors! A nice, diverting read, but something feels missed. This reader felt divorced from the action and not really engaged.
Another interesting Christmas type story. It was kind of easy to figure out what was going to happen. Other wise it was a cute story that was a fun read.
This was a super cute read. I like how this one incorporates other holiday character and some romance! I can't wait to see what happens with Carol next.
Lots of mystery and red herrings when Mrs. Claus invites a few holiday dignitaries to town. Who did it and why? Was it love or just mischief? Read and discover .
