My alien mate doesn't believe in love. He believes in his duty to re-populate the species. But I won't settle for anything less than everything.

The Kar’Kali lab team has been drawing some dangerous attention to the Piney Laboratory in what was once a sleepy Earth suburb. Jen Marsden, Head of Research, knows they need to beef up security, but she wasn’t prepared for the Alliance government to outfit her building with an entirely new military facility. When she realizes that the military presence will be focused on keeping the Kar’Kali warriors side-lined and Earth-bound, she finds herself trapped between the demands of her superiors and her personal loyalties to the aliens she’s grown to care for.

Pakka has done his best to protect his team while performing his duties to the Kar’Kali people. But with no suppressor chips and no way of knowing what information the Alliance is hiding, Pakka’s starting to feel like he’s failing in his role as leader. To top it all off, the mating call has now come for him. With everything the Kar’Kali are facing, Pakka fears the mating frenzy will derail all his plans. But he does know precisely who his breeding mate would be— only the most fierce and intelligent female he knows…

In the series Virgin Warriors of Kar'Kal, a team of scientists from a warrior race will discover that the mating call of their ancestral culture is not as suppressed as they thought it was. One by one they will fall victim to their fated mate, and all the unpredictable feelings that come with her...

The Alien’s Boss de Gemma Voss Serie Virgin Warriors of Kar’Kal libro 3

Argumento:

Ahh finally, Pakka and Jen's story!! I've been waiting since the first book. When Pakka guesses that Jen might be his mate, he decides that ignoring her is the best course of action because he doesn't want the mating call to take over him. Jen is pissed that Pakka has been ignoring her. But given that these two work in the same lab (and that Jen is his boss), Pakka eventually has to see Jen in person. Even if the mating call takes over him 😉

I really enjoyed this book. It's very different from the previous two books. Both Pakka and Jen are Alphas and the power play between the two of them is explosive. Lots of shenanigans happen in Jen's office, if you know what I mean 🔥 Pakka is stiffer and more formal than Kiva and Kila and that stiffness is obvious from the way he thinks and talks. As for Jen, she is a total badass who takes no shit. And Pakka loves her and respects her for it 😏

I had fun getting to know Pakka better. He's basically the leader and the dad of the Kar'Kali. He is also very loyal. So when he finds out Jen is his mate, he feels torn berween his team members and his mate. His relationship with Mori is particularly interesting because Mori makes him feel guilty for being mated. It takes Pakka time to accept that he wants a relationship with Jen, no matter what Mori may think of him.

There's a lot of plot development about the possible Kar'Kali survivors. The events that took place in the Alien's Boss will undoubtedly lead to a lot of big changes and I'm excited to see how the characters will fit in this new landscape.

Next book is about Mori. But I also want know what happened with Vala 😭 I hope we find out in the next book.

P.S. When he calls her "Jennifer" 😩

So much intrigue!

I’ve really enjoyed how much this series picks about the complexities of culture, government, and relationships. Even though the aliens are very much humanoid, coming from a very different way of life always causes disagreements and hurt feelings in this series. Pakka was adorable and Jen was fierce. They were both extremely intelligent and had top tier banter. I enjoyed the toe dipping into kink as well.

Spice: 4/5

Triggers: PTSD, PTSD induced nightmares, genocide, mentions of kidnapping, discussion of war and war crimes, violence, fall, survival scenario of side characters

Très sympa ! J’ai l’impression que la fin a été un peu expédiée mais le reste de l’histoire fait avancer l’intrigue et les persos ont plus de trente ans.

Will logic or love win out in the end. Pakka has lived his life as in an emotionless bubble but the things that he has done still slowly managed to seep into his consciousness and take hold. He made decisions which would be considered to go against his conditioning and even, some would say his race. He was taken from the military and front lines to be a scientist without also being made aware that at the same time he was himself a lab rat. Some strange paradox that one. Still he has always admired Jenn and how she handles herself although he starts to realise that there is more to the admiration, there is a hint of what he believes will actually be his mating call. Logic wins the first battle and he hides from her. Jenn on the other hand has always apprecaited that, regardless of the situation, Pakka has been honest with her. She admires his dedication to his race and to saving those of his so called brother's on Earth, however she wishes that he would let go of a war that has already decimated his kind and brought them to near extinction. Their old ways are gone and cannot now be regained. She cannot however deny that she is drawn to Pakka, when if he spins her head with his blow hot blow cold reactions and when he finally explains about the mating call she is ready to give it a chance. Chalk one up to love. Even so far but things are far from over between them and who will maybe lose the odd battle but win the war?
The whole world built here, the cultures and what they are fighting for jump off the page and you just have to keep reading.

😍😍😍😍

I love the thing all the books in this series has in common:

Alien warrior virgins succumbing to insta-love/fated-mates.

But I also love that each of the books has a compelling story and unique characters. The stakes keep getting higher and the books keep getting better (and hotter 🔥🔥🔥🔥)

4/5
Dual POVs
Hero(Pakka) is a virgin and Heroine(Jen aka Jennifer) is not.
Happy ending!
Interesting plot; not your typical alien-planet-lacks-uterus plot line.
Kinda fated mates trope
Steamy smex scenes~ 🌶💯 (Happens around 55% into the book)
No other woman/man drama!
Minor typos but it doesn’t effect the reading enjoyment!
(At least not for me)

🚨🚨🚨SPOILER ALERT🚨🚨🚨
SELF INDUCED ANGST WARNING.
(It won’t kill you but it will squeeze your heart strings.) 🙂
Miscommunication angst; culture collision.

Pakka tried to avoid Jen for 50% of the book because he had a sense of knowing that if he meets Jen again his mating call will be triggered since he’s already so smitten with her upon initial meeting.

As the squad dad of his team, he felt a sense of responsibly towards his squad. He’s the type of guy who would put other’s needs before his.

He didn’t want his mating call to manifest due to many reasons and one of them is it might cause inconvenience to Jen.

I’ve loved Jen’s character since the first book! She’s a sassy and independent woman. 🙌🏻🙌🏻

Would I re-read this on my free time? Unfortunately no. Just like the first book, it’s definitely worth reading at least once! Just lacks that last bit of magic for me. 🥲

Can’t wait for Vala’s book!! He’s the biggest Kar’Kali warrior of the team and I’m a slut for book that’s feeds my size kink. 😫❤️💯👁👄👁

Pakka, the male lead, is an alien species that has suppressed emotions from childhood as a whole. Now they’re learning to live with emotions as their world has been destroyed along with the suppression equipment.

Pakka is distraught to discover his drawn to Jen, the human director of the alien research unit that he is part of, wanting to remain emotionally disengaged. Jen, the female lead, is used to working with aliens but doesn’t normally emotionally engage with them. As they strive to work out his few remaining people’s place in this new situation, their relationship builds.

This story is dual POV, well written, emotionally gripping, and a great addition to the overall story arc. I really enjoyed the input of secondary characters as well as the individual and relationship developments of the lead characters.

As usual I liked the first book in the series the best. But an author can not just repeat the first story over and over. There has to be more.
Each book focuses more on the overarching story and less on the virgin love making.
I appreciate that a series needs a story but.. I guess I don’t appreciate it. I just want “the good stuff”.

This virgin is not entirely virgin like. He is able to make her finish without redirection. And he makes her beg. What virgin has the stamina to demand begging on the first go ‘round?
And there is hints that he will be into a little lite bdsm in the future.

There is no book 4 out, but if one shows up, you can be sure I will be there ready for the last 2 guys to get their happy endings.

Virgin rating:
Innocence of virgin hero: 4.5/5
Innocence in losing it: 3/5
Build up to losing it: 4/5
Hotness of losing it: 4/5
Busted touching himself: no
POV of losing it: female (with some male commentary thrown in)

This is a fantastic book that had me hooked from the start. It’s got action and adventure, the Kar’Kali have been told to drop all their experiments regarding their fertility and the chips they had in their brains. The Alliance are keeping information from them about their country. All while they are trying to find out information Pakka and Jen are being affected by the mating call. There’s some very steamy scenes before and after they give into fate. And when the Kar’Kali find out there’s an escape pod with some of their kind on it, Pakka and Valla set off to rescue them. They end up making a detour as jan manages to get on the ship before it takes off. When they do find their people Pakka finds an old acquaintance has changed and not for the better.

This is a must read, not only is the plot and world building great but the characters are awesome and Jen and Pakka’s relationship and their bond is out of this world.

This unique and well-written book 3 in the Virgin Warriors of Kar’Kal Book Series was interesting with well-thought out scenes, characters and story plots. These characters have strong wills, interesting histories, engaging personalities and believable interactions. This entertaining story has the following: intrigue, twists, turns, adventure, action, humans, aliens, love, steam and a HEA. This book in the Virgin Warriors of Kar'Kal Series is about a team of scientists from a warrior race that discover the mating call of their ancestral culture was not as suppressed as they thought it was. One by one they will fall victim to their fated mate, and all the unpredictable feelings that come with her and their mating.

The dynamic between the 5 aliens in this book is utterly perfect.
"We'll discuss this when I return from our moon trip."
"You're going to a moon? They're letting you leave the planet?"
"No, it's just a trip. We're going to some island location. It's referred to as a moon. A honey-moon."

Jen is me:
"Love, and family...and sex - It might seem like those things aren't important to me, because I put my career first, but I won't compromise when it comes to love, Pakka. I want everything. I won't take less."

Sweet daddy Pakka:
When I lay down to sleep that night, I close my eyes and remember that I have not dreamt of death since the day that I kissed her.

Mori is gonna fall so hard for his woman, I can't wait!

This was an interesting book. It has good world-building. I especially liked a page where Jen was thinking about all the weird alien culture and stuff she encountered with different species at work. Unfortunately, this is the first book I've read in this series, so I was a little lost on what's happened before and the whole situation with the different species' alliances and characters I didn't know. I liked Pakka and Jen- especially Jen. She's such a strong female lead and handles herself well. I liked her attitude and personality. A well written book, but I recommend starting at the beginning to really appreciate it. 4 stars.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Pakka tried to fight the mating call for awhile before giving in. It helped that he realized he can still maintain some control. Jen is head of the labs and likes Pakka so once she realized about the mating call bond, she was all for it. However important their new relationship is, there is another major issue in the works. When Pakka and his crew realize there is other surviving of Kar-Kal, Pakka goes in secret to rescue them. Jen manages to tag along and also to champion the Kar-Kali's cause with a lawyer and media. It was not nice how the rescued people treat Pakka and I hope Vala is okay. I enjoyed reading this installment of the series and how proud the warriors are of their destroyed world and their human mates.

Finding His Mate . . .

Pakka’s alien race had always had a chip implanted that suppressed their emotions. Now without that equipment, they are feeling emotions and are reacting to humans. Pakka is feeling the draw to his mate and is fighting to maintain his control so that he can carry out his duty to his people. But Jen Marsden, Head of Research and his mate, is feeling their relationship changing too.

When Pakka finds there are other Kar-Kal survivors, he heads out in secret to rescue them. Jen follows him. Will he rescue them as he plans? Where will they go from here? Will he and Jen finally accept that they are mates?

Never heard of the alien males suppressing their emotions with a chip implant. I've read where the omega females suppress their smell. Pakka is trying too stay away from his mate Jen but when he finds that there are other Kar-Kal survivors he and Jen go to rescue them but they have to keep the mission a secret. Love the strong leads of both of these characters. This has some action, and a relationship that is brewing between Jen the Research head and Pakka. Will they be able to rescue the other survivors? Will Jen and Pakka get their HEA by accepting that they are mates? Great series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Pakka is torn, He knows where his duty lies. He knows that Jen is the one, but he also is reluctant to give into the mating frenzy. He doesn't believe in love. He is s scientist. Why won't Jen see that this is the fight way? But she wants everything. Will he be able to understand what that entails in time? Or will it destroy the? Pakka's journey with Jen takes him on a journey of discovery that will change the Kar Kali forever. Awesome story, great characters and worldbuilding. A really great read!

Some REALLLYYY good scenes in this I was eating it upppp but once again I feel like we missed out on some obvious scenes and I needed a bit more groveling with how strong of an FMC this was..I also have an issue losing interest after the main characters get together if there’s a ton of book left and not a ton of relationship plot so this kind of lost me in the end, idk if the plot was interesting enough to fully keep me :/ But the writing was good and ultimately the plot is good and makes sense that could just be a me issue! Taking a quick break to cleanse my pallet with other aliens and then I’ll be back

A stunning next book in this series. The relationship between these two has been brewing from the beginning. I was hotly anticipating the relationship that these two would build together and how it would work. This story has twists and turns I didn’t anticipate but are fantastic. This story doesn’t leave off on a cliffhanger but it sure does make you want the next one right away!

These books are so fun. The clueless virgin in this one was of the 'sexy Daddy who wanted to be topped by his dominant lady boss' variety--loved it. The only thing that kept this from being a five star read was that a dangerous mission placed the MCs in two different locations for a bit—which, as much as that makes sense (the non-warrior human lady doesn’t need to be on the mission, let’s be real), tends to pause the romance plot in a way that feels putdownable.

This is an interesting story, an alien race that suppressed their emotions and are now freely feeling them without the chip and humans triggering their emotions.

Pakka had it bad, torn by his love for his mate and his duty as a warrior, which road would he chose.

There was a lot more of the intergalactic political maneuverings in this story, and that doesn't really appeal to me. The story was written well, though, so the politics may appeal to someone. As for me, I don't think I will be moving on to the fourth book.

A lot of secrets have come out. The Alliance is breaking their own laws to keep the Kar'Kali aliens oppressed. They have almost been wiped out by the enemy and the Alliance wants their weapons so they are trying to keep the rest of the aliens stuck on earth.

4 stars. Enjoyed this one. Both MCs were a bit more fleshed out and their chemistry was really good! Was a little annoyed by MMCs extended denial of his mating bond but once he was in he was all in.

Really enjoyed the overall plot which sucked me in.
