Whether it's aliens, psychic humans, or shifters, one knows one is in for a boisterous, fun, and sexy reading experience when picking up this author's books. These are high entertainment for me and I barely notice the blurb when I grab a new one up and settle into my cozy chair. This new first in series got things off to a rambunctious start.
Tammy Sue Wilson always knew her dear old dad was cracked and didn't have an ounce of fatherly affection, but getting dumped out in the middle of nowhere to survive on her own after she stirs things up in his militia compound and gets accused of stealing his weapons' money is her chance to get a two week's head start on her escape that she's been planning for some time.
Tammy was a trouble magnet of the first order and makes for the dangerous drug cartel leader, Morales, who owes her a debt, as part of her escape plan. And, through a series of hilarious events, she encounters the big bad alpha werewolf who might be her best shot of survival and happiness if she can learn to trust him after taking care of herself for so long.
Like other heroines by the author, Tammy is feisty, sassy, and will survive just about anything. She lost the only person who loved her when her mom died and she was forced to hone her survival instincts to a point with no idea what the tenderer feelings looked like. I enjoyed watching Aidan patiently, and quite sexily, teach her that she was his and part of a loyal, supportive pack now.
The humor was laugh out loud funny and the romance was the true mate sort. The action scenes were plentiful. And, the set up for the rest of the series has me excited to see more adventures with the Blood Moon werewolf pack. Definitely recommend to paranormal romance fans who enjoy them light and fun.

Aiden and Tammy,
Great way to start the Blood Moon Series. The bunny honey badger was a great tension breaker. It’s hunger and determination to get birds was so cute. This one is action packed. It involves a deranged parent and his crazy private army seeking Tammy’s capture throughout the book. Her particular skills are needed by her father, the general nutcase. It’s entertaining and quite enjoyable. Fun read. No cheating, HEA. No cliffhanger.

Everything is thrown in chaos and she once again has to fight for her life. This time, she has the sexy werewolf by her side. For me, Blackheart’s Treasure is a must read!

"Blackheart's Treasure" is a hoot, and possibly even a holler (I'm Irish so I'm not entirely sure). It makes little or no sense, it doesn't even try to most of the time, it just boots along at high speed and leaves you to catch up.
It's completely over the top and all the better for it.
When you spend a lot of your Covid lockdown time reading books with good people, serious intent, and decent plotting, it is nice to come across a book which just lets it rip, all of the time.
Tammy Sue Wilson is the 'daughter' of militia extremist General Jonathan Wilson - he's intent on world domination and Tammy's ability to find treasure is his passport to that aim. Tammy, on the other hand, just wants a bit of peace and quiet and makes a break for it, only to find herself in a maelstrom of high velocity action, werewolves, elderly erections, deceit and heavy weaponry.
On top of it all she is apparently the mate of alpha werewolf Aiden Blackheart. He vows to defend her against the oncoming hordes, she reminds him that Daddy has lots of advanced weapons:
"I rolled my eyes. “What you need to understand is the General will bomb your compound into rubble. Keeping me here will get your people killed.”
“Judd fortified our compound. The perimeter wall has eight-gun turrets with 50-caliber machine guns. The fake boulders out front hide a series of remote-controlled weapons. Last month Judd added surface-to-air missiles to the outer walls. When the General’s helicopters show up on our radar, they’ll be blown out of the sky,” Aiden stated matter-of-factly."
If only Tammy had inherited her mother's ability to see the future .... oh wait, yes she has. Drones with silver bullets, fire extinguishers with C4 inside - no problem any more!
But werewolves don't mate with humans - good thing Tammy turns out to be a hybrid badger/rabbit shifter.
It's all very silly but is very well written and has a strong emotional centre - particularly where Cujo is concerned!
Thank you Gail Koger for a fun book that cheered me up a lot during what is hopefully the end of my Covid lockdown.

Wonderful Action Packed and Snarky Fun Read
The heroine has been taught to kill but never loved, not since her mother died. The hero is a tough alpha wolf shifter with no sense of humor. Thankfully the heroine more than makes up for that little character flaw. Together they make an unstoppable team. And that is a good thing because bad guys are coming out of, well, everywhere. I loved the book. There were so many memorable scenes and secondary characters. But you will have to experience them for yourselves. You will not be sorry you did.

Another hit for Me Gail
Love the interaction between Tammy and Aiden. Snarky heroine. ✔. Uber hot hero. ✔ Ultimate bad guy ✔. What a delightful romp. The chemistry between the heroine & the hero is off the charts. The general made it so easy to hate him. We haven't heard the last from the general either. I can't wait for the next book. Hurry up and write it.

Fun and entertaining read
As always Gail’s characters are big and bad ass women and men lol. Main females character is a trouble magnet but usually finds a way out. Main male character is hit and sexy wolf yum. Enjoyed the book look forward to the next.

Very entertaining read!
I love every book Gail puts out! Once I start reading I don't stop tell the last page. Great adventure mixed with some hijinks comedy and love stories of bossy men with spirited women. Once you've read one of her books, you won't stop tell you've read them all!

Very entertaining read
This was a quick read, had lots of crazy action by the two leads and on the whole, very entertaining paranormal about bad guys, shape shifters and finding a family.

Great start to a new LOL, zany, Gail Koger series
Tammy Sue Wilson , is the daughter of a Cherokee mystic mother, and maybe father, a former Marine, self declared General with his own militia, that rivals the armies of some small countries. Raised in her maybe father's army, Tammy Sue has a lot of interesting skill sets. Escaping should have not been a problem, but her carefully laid plans, quickly fall apart and she finds her self working as a meter maid with the help of a Cartel head who owed her a favor. A run in with the very powerful local pack alpha, Aiden Blackheart leads to nothing but more trouble. The next thing she knows he has declared she is his mate. Tammy Sue's mystic skills have just increased by 1, human lie detector, tracker of anything, and now a cute bunny badger. Her maybe dad, is going to hate that. The only thing he may hate more that the US government are shifter. He wants her back. His finances have taken a hit and he needs Tammy Sue to find the lost city of gold.
There is also problems with a rival pack to contend with along with a vendetta with the same Cartel boss that owned Tammy a favor.
LOL fun, fast paced and steamy. Can't wait for the next book.

Tammy Sue is a riot!! She is the daughter of a military quack job with visions of taking over the country. He trained her into being a lean mean fighting machine that worked to his detriment. Now she is on the run and bumped into the pack Alpha, Aidan. Always with a snarky, witty comeback Tammy Sue keeps Aidan on his toes. I can’t wait to see how this series progresses!!

Terrific
This book was amazing! There were so many fun twists and turns. Love, action and family are all greatly shown in this book.
Acceptance by Aidan’s family was so meaningful to her. Her animal form was such a surprise!
I am recommending this to everyone. It made me laugh, smile, and greatly entertained me!

Fun and romantic
I've read this book about 3 times and it read new and fresh every time
I'm waiting for Judd story to come out. Love haw you bring secondary characters to life you make them excited and wanting more.

Brilliant
As usual Gail koger has excelled with this book as with all her books I've so enjoyed reading it and so far all the coletti series can't wait for lots more keep writing , all the books are a joy to read , many thanks
