A lot of Issues

This was a lot. It was not just the triplet cumming on Luna’s face. It was the way the triplets talk to Luna and treat her like a whore. Everyday!

Sadly, even the one who rejected Luna treats her better. That’s saying something since he uses sex to control her.

The way these men treat an innocent and sheltered 18 year old is alarming. She has a maturity of someone younger. As such, almost 40 year old men should not be treating a girl with a 13 year old mentality like a sex doll. I have no problem with age gaps. This is not just that. Disgusting.

This book is mostly sex. I usually love Alexa and Calinda's books. I just felt this was so much cutting down Luna and not building her up. Even if did show some of her good points. The triplets just act like they are using her, but are they? Axel will do anything for Luna, but does she appreciate it? I would read this book to keep up on the story. I hope the next book is more action and suspense then just about a over active sex Luna.

I was getting over all the ...I don't even have the words to describe the totally dysfunctional, unrealistic, etc. "relationship " that was very....UUGG H HH.... still no good words. I was invested in the story and I always feel like I owe it to the author and all their hard work to finish the book. But BUT, having sex on a dead body was it.... I'm done.

This review is for the first two and a half books, not just for the first book! It's not the complete series, because I just couldn't bring myself to finish it. Also, it is full of ALL THE SPOILERS! How many spoilers? ALL OF THEM.

You were warned.

Good grief

I didn't review book 1 of this series because I wanted to give Luna a chance at redemption. I get that she was isolated from the rest of the world and that's why she knows nothing. I'm not quite sure why her mother would have withheld basic information from Luna about life. Why wouldn't she have told her what a heat was? Why not tell her how babies are made and where they come from. It's almost too stupid for words. However, I figured that things would get better as Luna adjusted to the real world and learned new things. I was so terribly wrong. Luna isn't just ignorant. She's a complete imbecile. She is a child in a woman's body. While I can handle her supposed "innocence", I can't handle the whole Axel thing. I just want to grab her and smack the everlasting snot out of her. **SPOILER ALERT**
What in Hades did she not understand about him breaking the bond? She was there and felt the pain of it! Then, to top everything off, he destroys her home, kidnaps her, lies about it, and she's so focused on how good f'ing him is that she just lets him do whatever to her and even begs for it. I had to roll my eyes so far into my head that they almost stuck there! At that point I started just skimming through so I wouldn't throw up in my mouth!

Everything that happened from the time she went back to the triplets until the end of this book was one stupidity after another. No, her " innocence " does not excuse away anything. Luna is not only stupid, but she's weak. I have no idea what any of those men see in her except gullibility and child like ignorance. I guess if these grown men are into women who are basically a 5 year old, then I need to question their morals.
I borrowed book 3, so I will attempt to finish this series. Right now I don't see any true plot. I see 4 men trying to keep the same woman and nothing else. There's no other story. I keep waiting for something to happen that isn't instigated by Luna's stupidity. Hopefully, book 3 will be better. If not, I don't see myself finishing it because so far this series is a complete waste of time!

I had high hopes for this series but when I find that I'm forcing myself to finish a book I know its lost me.

Where to begin. Luna is annoying af, she acts like a stupid ignorant child reinforced constantly by her justification that she knows no better. Well fucking learn girl!! Seriously has there ever been a more pathetic fmc?

The triplets now are annoying me to hell. No justification as to why they didn't try to rescue luna from the vamps, then when they get her back they refer to her as 'pussy to be passed around and get a turn in her tight pussy' amazingly luna had no response to this, no outrage, not pissed off nothing. Its left to her hapless ex mate to do it for her.

And as for said ex mate, yes he wronged her but holy fuck does he pay for it with his dick n balls completely emasculated by luna to the degree you end up feeling sorry for him n not liking her.

Nope not for me. Cannot stand the fmc, cannot stand the alpha H being completely subjugated and left a whimpering idiot n so can't stand my hopeful rh turning into utter dickheads.

Romance. Nope

Not for me

Eh

I didn’t hate the book, but I didn’t love it either. Luna is just too naive. I was hoping she would have matured a little more. I was also disappointed that Axel is back. That a-hole should have stayed gone, but his redemption is nicely written. It’s not an instant forgiveness. I also didn’t like that the guys spent the entire book hating each other and then bam it’s HEA in the last 2 pages before another cliffhanger. I’m unsure if I’ll finish this story.

When Axel finds a way to free Luna from the vampires that imprisoned her at the end of the first book, he does everything in his powers to keep Luna close and make her forgive him for severing their true mate bond. But will apologies be enough for Luna to forgive him? And what about the triplets she gave her heart to?

While I absolutely loved the first book, I had a hard time reviewing and rating this second book. It is very different to most other books I've read so far, mainly because the dynamic between Luna and the men feels very different. Taboo and kinky topics start to play a more prominent role, combined with omegaverse elements, resulting in a stronger dark/taboo feel than the first book. Some of those kinks, like breeding, are a little out of my comfort zone, resulting in four star review. Despite that, it's still a well written book, and I'm sure there are other readers who will love it. My favorite part was probably all the drama between te men and Luna who was completely clueless to the reasons why and how to solve this.

Shunned by the Pack is the second book in the Rejected Mate series by Alexa B. James and Calinda B. The storyline from this and the first book are difficult to get into as some of the elements are a bit far-fetched, and the level of Luna's naivete is not entirely believable. It is understood that she was raised away from civilization. However, she seems to catch on when it suits her, and she is good at creating drama. It also feels like the triplets are taking as much advantage of her as they accuse Axel.

Additionally, it feels like Warrick's motivation for being with her is more to get back at Axel than with Luna. That being said, the storyline goes a long way to ensure that Luna understands that she can and should make her own choices. As she begins to do so, she also sees that her choices have consequences. The cliffhanger ending assures that I will read the next and final book in the series, Return to the Pack.

DNF -quit at 40%
Don't know what I was thinking, the first book was borderline of being a DNF, but the cliff-hanger ending -I think pulled me into wanting to see how that was resolved. I don't know, too much angst & back & forth feelings for the FMC, Luna, for me. She is way too naïve to be considered an adult, even though she's 18, she has the emotional & physical development of a 14 year old. So all the sexual stuff happening seems perverted on so many levels. And after her mate broke the mate bond in book 1, I wouldn't have had anything to do with him regardless of what he says or does, but yet she has sex with him, even though it seemed a bit more like angry sex. I wouldn't believe anything coming out of his mouth ever again. I felt like the whole plot is based on skeevy twisted crap that really sounds like something coming out of Hollywood (like the Kardashians), it's just so bizarre.

At my age (60), life is way too short & my time is too important to force myself to read a book I'm not enjoying, especially when there are so many other books out there waiting to be read.

Real short read like I predicted, the tension between the characters sure, the plot kept me on, though my girl Luna... I see the character development but not THAT type of development, but at least she's less of a pushover? I feel like there wasn't much to really do about it, as in the conflict wasn't that high and just romantic troubles and predicted. There were some shocking moments, little tense little surprised, but again I personally just wasn't surprised. Nothing wrong with author or writing! But I didn't connect with this book that much, just a good to me, (and helps my reading goal!)

Luna is Luna but the way she's described sometimes unsettled me, wdym "wh*re and sl*t" yet "innocent, angel??" I didn't have much of a problem with that but the page few pages, like uh hello?? Luna is that even you anymore???

No hate, just not my favorite one of Alexa B. James, books! Not my cup of tea so much. Do try giving this a read if you'd like, or don't [as]- sorry anyways I'm in too deep and I'm gonna finish this series!!!

Well book 2 in this series was definitely steamier than the first one. Axel just did my head in with this on and off thing he had with Luna. I just wanted to slap him silly with his arrogant attitude. I actually like Luna but i waited all the way through this book before she made a decision and put her foot down for what she wanted. It had me shouting out finally about bloody time lol.

The triplets - Callan, Warrick and Ethan on the other hand came across as brash, rough and ready (which they are, lol) in this book but towards the end they started to show a softer side i thought. At least to Luna. I liked the dynamic between all of them though but i would love it if Luna grew stronger as a character but we'll see. That cliffhanger ending was just knockout and im liking reading this series. Im curious to see what will happen next

“Shunned By The Pack” is the second book in this series. It picks up right where book one left off. The vamps have Luna locked in a cage hoping to negotiate her release with Axel. Axel is desperate to have Luna back and for her to forgive him for breaking the mate bond. It seems like all you have to do to get Luna to comply is to turn her on. The triplets and Axel know exactly how to get what they want from her. Luna is starting to put together just how much power she has and definitely uses it to her advantage. I love all the back and forth between them. This book does end on a huge cliffhanger but I still would recommend it if you like wolves, rejected mates, and three other alphas who want to fill that role.

Shunned By The Pack is the second book in the Rejected Mate series and this book picks up where book one left off. I definitely recommend you read the first book before this one so you know how all of this began. Luna's story is an intense and twisted one filled with ott steamy times. If you trigger easily this book is not for you but if you enjoy taking a ride on the ott twisted side then grab this book and hold on because this is one twisted ride. After that cliffhanger ending I look forward to reading the next book and seeing where it takes Luna. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

I just can’t

It is not often that I find a book in a series that simply can’t finish after loving the first one so much. Much less feel a need to write review about it. This one though. I just can’t. I just can’t. Luna and the triplets COMPLETELY RUINED IT!!!!!! I LOVED THESE MEN last book. Loved them. This book….honestly I just can’t. And Luna? Wow. She is selfish, petty, stubborn, and completely self-adorned. Nothing Axel does is good enough, and he, short cutting out his own heart, lays down for her. I got to 69%, and had to stop cause I almost threw my phone. Who knows, maybe the last 31% is better, but for me, my phone can’t take that chance.

harem confusion

Truthfully I enjoyed the first book but this one left me feeling a mixed of emotions. Usually i like harem stories but this about mates and wolves left me feeling bad. Usually those stories with mates are clear with who ends up with who and usually its a single couple. I was hoping luna was going to end up with Warren, he was going to be her second chance. I also hate how wishy washy the main girl is and then the men peacefully enter the harem and tolerate one another.

Decent

I loved the first book. If you’re looking for a steamy story, this is an excellent choice. However, this series definitely focuses more on the erotic scenes than on the back story or character development. Which is definitely not a bad thing, if that’s what you’re looking for. I enjoyed the first book more, but this one was good too. I cried at one point and laughed at another. The vocabulary is diverse and interesting enough to keep my attention without being difficult to understand. All in all, a nice easy read and worth the time spent.

This is the second in the series. Definitely read in order. Lots of drama. Luna is stuck between her three new guys and wanting to get back with her original mate. At times she seems very naive but at others she seems to find how to get her way with her new found power.
It ends with a cliffhanger so have to wait for the next one.

The story takes a very interesting turn as Luna ends up back with Axel, and he tries his best to amend for his wrongdoing in rejecting her and severing their bond. It's nice to see an author make the mate in the wrong squirm and try to win his mate back. Luna struggles to accept that she still yearns for Axel as her mate while also maintaining her connection to the brothers. It's a long road to get everybody on same page, then tragedy strikes.

A heart wrenching push and pull between broken bond, love, resentment, forgiveness, healing, and lust.
Luna finds her heart and her body tearing her between four men who each complete a different piece of her. But there’s no way she could have everything she ever wanted and a whole heart too….is there?

Oh my goodness! I loved this second book in this series. Luna is coming into her own, and none of the guys can change that. She is growing into a fierce badass who isn’t taking any shit from the guys. And she is starting to see that even though Axel was an ass, he is becoming something more!

I stopped reading at 70% because it just went off the rails and I kept thinking, why and how dumb can she be?!??!?!!?!

She's no naive, she's ignorant. And no one thought about teaching her anything - mistake #1. They abuse her - mistake #2. It's just a ball rolling downhill, getting bigger and bigger. I used to like Warrick - now he's a d!ck. I can't.

Read at your own risk.

TikTok recommended, but the storyline is so choppy. Humor factor to gross factor, throughout. I read the second book because of all the 2 star reviews. Stockholm syndrome with werewolves, sometimes we all just have to acknowledge the dumpster fire. Cliffhanger be damned, not sure I care at this point. Thanks TikTok oh and fu too.

Dannnng, this book was all sorts of nasty. If you're a sensitive reader then just pass this one up but if you like the down and dirty kind of books like I do...then look no further. I Loved Every Page! Except that cliffhanger!! I mean I loved it too but Gahhhh! Make sure you read the first book before grabbing this one.

Good Book

Even Luna is just not all there due to her up bringing. The book is still good and I'm happy about the relationship with all the men. I'm not going spoil it but I love the ways things end up. There is a Clif hanger so I'm looking forward to the next book.
