Rojo, TX #3

Jazmyne & Lucius

Rate this book
This novel is standalone, happily ever after romance for some of the characters that you’ve come to know in the other series by the same author. It may have a storyline that follows along with one or more of the characters in the Texas Knights, Texas Kings, or Conner Brothers Construction series.

Lucius Vance likes his world to be black and white. As a police officer, he knows that there’s right and wrong in the world. It’s his job to make sure good behavior is rewarded, and bad behavior is punished. He’s sure in the knowledge that nothing can make him veer from his beliefs, but that’s before he meets the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen.

Jazmyne Hamilton hasn’t had the most conventional life. The victim of a broken family, she depended on her brothers to take care of her until she was old enough to take care of herself. Meeting a man who could never understand the family who loves her, she tries to keep them separate and almost loses everything in the process.

Can Lucius bend enough to keep Jazmyne in his life? Can Jaz let him in and realize that the debt hanging over her head is all in her imagination?

With the help of family, Lucius and Jazmyne might just find their own happiness, but it will take a lot of planning and preparation and the strength to stick together even when there are forces trying to tear them apart.

Enjoy this book in the Rojo, Texas series, and catch up with some of your favorite characters from the Texas Kings, the Texas Knights, and the Conner Brothers series.

Jazmyne Hamilton puts her family first, her Sisters and Brothers are everything to her. Her older Brother Lout is a member of the Texas Kings and they have their own set of rules so when she ends up being asked for a date by Police Officer Lucius Vance she agrees but she is not forthcoming with who she is. Jazmyne falls hard for Lucius and he loves her as well, but there is one huge problem between them the fact that Jazmyne wants to keep their relationship hidden.

Lucius has tried to understand Jazmyne's take on the secrecy but to Lucius she is his future and what kind of future can they have if no one knows about him. When he lays it all out will Jazmyne take a chance or will it be the end of a possibly happily ever after.

I really really liked Lucius and he has the patience of a saint. You get why Jazmyne is weary about revealing she is dating a cop but I felt bad for Lucius because he was so head over heels in love her. I enjoyed this one but knew some of the premise from the previous book so was not sure how this would unfold. Lucius is a definite favorite.

We saw a bit of Jaz and Lucius in the last book, so it was interesting to see what was going on in this one. I really liked how these two met, loved that Jaz took a chance to meet with Lucius despite her thinking she shouldn't. I thought that Lucius was right to call out Jaz for keeping their relationship a dirty little secret, no one wants that.

When things came to a head and Lucius went to Lout's house during family game night when so many of his "brothers" were there I wondered how things were going to go. I thought Lucius did a great job of filling in everyone, letting them know the level of danger that was coming their way and letting everyone know he wasn't going to go away. That left the last part of the book to be very cloak and dagger, but it worked. It was the best way to deal with everything and keep everyone safe. I also think it allowed everyone in the MC to really get to know Lucius and him to get to know them, for them all to see what the future would be like with them all one big happy family.

Loved Jazz and Lucius....
Really enjoyed this storyline, hot sex, hot characters, we get the whole line up and friends from Rojo and I mean everyone. It was great. Loved how Lucius faced Lout and everyone to show his support and love he had for Jazmyne. If that's not love I don't know what is.
I highly recommend this series and EVERY book Cee Bowerman has written they are all great reads.

A definite must read book & series!

I absolutely love this series, and each book just keeps getting better! When this story was built up in the previous books, I knew that it was going to be explosive, and I don't mean Marcus and Lout's reactions. Lol! (Though those were comical too!) I suspected that Jazmyne was hiding something, but I never would have guessed that it would be as horrific as it was. There were some horrible tragedies, suspenseful moments, drama, angst, heartbreak, intense situations, lots of humor, and intriguing twists that will keep you turning the pages until the very end. It's definitely not a book &/or series that you'll want to miss!
I'm sure that most of you have already read the rest of this series, as well as the other series' by this author, but if you haven't, you're certainly missing out on some of the best stories written. I would highly recommend that you start with the Texas Knights MC series, and follow the reading order or the release dates of the others. The Texas Knights MC, Texas Kings MC, Connor Brothers Construction, and this series all have close connections and lots of character crossover, which I love. It's not necessary to read the other series' in order to read this one, but it will give you a better understanding of the characters, connections, the different clubs/groups, and the dynamics between all of them. They're all absolutely fantastic stories, and you won't be disappointed.
I'm really hoping that there will be many more books in this series, as well as the Texas Knights MC, and I'm looking forward to reading the upcoming books in the Connor Brothers series!
I would definitely recommend this book, series, and exceptional author.

Jazmyne and Lucius

Oh wow, what a fantastic story. Thank goodness for little Ami and her escape artist adventures and running into our favorite officer Luc, and Jaz running after her and wound up with a date and a fabulous relationship with Luc. It broke my heart when she thought that she couldn't be him for his black and white tendencies as a cop, but after the breakup and finding out that she was going to be on the run from the sadistic evil man that killed her college boyfriend, he decided to visit her brothers Lout and Malcolm and explain all to them, and sorry but it was hilarious how some of the Hamilton and Kings families were behaving, but again Luc learned that he could learn some gray areas of his job in order to protect his forever love with Jaz. I also see that the children are still just as wild as ever and the older ones are even clever with getting their babysitting money. I thoroughly enjoyed Cee's creative imagination with the plot of getting Brian the sadist arrested and the ladies that always have there backs. Happy reading.

Good Read

Jazmyne & Lucius is the third book in the Rojo, TX series and tells the story of how Jazmyne and Lucius met as well as the break up that happened in ‘Atlas & Addie’ and continuing on to show what happened next.

I found that this book took me on an emotional rollercoaster, from their early days to their break up and beyond was just a series of up and downs. I think this gave the book a more realistic feel, it wasn’t just a magical they get together, deal with a bit of bad and then live happily ever after. They really had to work at their relationship. I loved the characters and thought they were well written, and I also loved the nicknames that Lucius was given.

Overall, this was a really good book with a storyline that kept me wanting to carry on reading just to find out what happened next.

Jazmyne and Lucius

This was a joy to read, at least the romance part. The difficult part was about Jazmyne’s evil Ex. Although the subject of his vileness could have been distastefully exploited, it wasn’t done by this author. She laid it out, then proceeded to lay out elaborate plans to bring him down in most intricate ways. As always with this group of characters in the Kings MC and friends, there is much camaraderie and crazy young kid shenanigans as a cop and a beloved child of the Kings MC fall in lust and love. The end result is that the author pulls the reader in and you feel a part of every joke, insult, kiss, and act of retribution. It’s funny, sweet and I was very happy to be a part of the GRAY. Enjoy this one. I did!

Lucius and Jazmyne's story is gripping. I couldn't put it down. This story is filled with wow moments, laughter, a good helping of steamy action, sprinkled with action and some of the charicters we know and love.

Lucius is a cop that only sees life in black and white. His straight laced life comes to a halt when he locks eyes on the most beautiful woman whe has ever seen frantically chasing her hellion of a niece through thw fair.

Jazmyneis the sister of Lout a member of the Texas Kings Mc her other brother a ruthless lawyer two men that are notorious in Rojo. Jazmyne falls head over heels for the cop, but she can't keep him.

Torn between keeping her family safe and giving into what her heart craves, Jazmyne has a threat to deal with one she has kept secret.

Love Cee books

I love every Cee Bowerman books. The story is a fabulous mixture of emotions - laughter, sadness, etc. I love the way the characters are enmeshed together and i love that all of the earlier books feed into these books with secondary characters being used in plots now.

If i found one thing to find fault a bit with, i would find fault with the beginning of the chapter when Jaz was at the lawyers office to set up computer. I started off the chapter a bit confused with what was happening because of the way that chapter was started up. It took me a little out of the story because it took a bit to figure out the particulars. That was my only issue.

Another perfect read but a most outstanding author!

MS. Bowerman never lets me down. She is a total genius with her story lines and characters. I laugh myself silly when reading her books and am never disappointed, except when the story is over. I've read most of her books twice & am sure I will reread them again. All the names they called Luc just cracked me up! Detective Murtaugh, Axel Foley, count Chocula 😆 I laughed so hard my husband thought something was wrong g with me! haha! Anybody who loves MC's and great H & h needs to read this ladies books!!she is the BEST!!! Seriously can't say enough positive things about her writing. Except MORE!!! Give me MORE!!

So good

There is lots of depth to the characters, and you get to see them grow and mature as the story progresses. There is a nice mix of serious and funny and hot in the story, sometimes all at the same time. I really liked the way Luc and Jaz interacted with each other.

I really had fun reading this book. It stands alone just fine, but is even better if you have read Cee’s other books. The author does a good job with continuity across the story arc, even when she needs to take some artistic lúxense with back stories here and there. I’m this case, it was hilarious seeing the Texas Kings from a police officer’s perspective.

Wow...just wow

Keeping a relationship secret would never work as Jazmyne find out when she starts dating Lucius. Lucius wants more but Jazmyne doesnt want her family to know about them, more specifically she doesnt want Lout her brother and member of the MC to know..why..because Lucius is a Policeman. Secrets have a way of getting found out as Jazmyne is about to discover. This is one heck of a story and omg...its a rollercoaster of a ride. This is one of Cee's finest. The epilogue just finishes the book. A definite must must must read

4.5*

Lucius Vance and Jazmyne Hamilton meet thanks to her niece, Amy. They're drawn to each other from that first meeting. They date for months but when he pushes for more Jazmyne pulls back. He's a cop and she's sure that her brother's won't accept him. They go back and forth until her past comes to light.

Now all the men in her life get together to make sure Jazmyne is safe!

I LOVED this new Rojo book. As always Ms. Bowerman's writing has me laughing out loud and loving the main characters.

I truly enjoyed this read.

Cee Bowerman doesn't disappoint. She delivers another great book.

Cee keeps you on the edge of your seat as to how Jazmyne and Lucius survive their love for each other and her family. While staying ahead of a killer.
All with humor. I laughed through the book.
I love the name they picked for when they have a son. Read the book to find out. You won't be disappointed.
Cee Bowerman is a favorite author of mine. I have read all her series. I try to wait patiently while she finishes a book for one of her series. I can't wait to see what she comes up with next.

I love a good who-done-it, and this book has a great Columbo (if Columbo were a biker) type feel to it. I love how it all came together.
There were parts where I had tears in my eyes and other parts I laughed out loud, the full cast of characters were at their whacky, more than a little scary, best. And that feeling of family and belonging was strong in this one too.
Luc fought for Jaz, he fought so hard, I loved him for it even more, though I could understand Jaz‘s dilemma there was a very brief moment I feared things would go awry, but it made everything that much sweeter.

This was great!!! At first I was getting kind of irritated with Jaz and her stubbornness but thankfully Lucius was also stubborn enough to not give up and take matters into his own hands. What Jaz had gone through was horrible. The scene where he goes to Lout's house and confronts everyone is hilarious and so many scenes thereafter. The plan they all came up with was quite the elaborate one. The names the guys came up with...omg....too funny. The kids were all a hoot as usual. Jaz and Lucius are great for each other and I'm so glad that neither gave up of them gave up.

And she does it again

These books are like a visit with family. Love that each book is its on entity but we still get our fix on the rest of the family. I snorted laughing so hard at the first “visit” Lestat had with Lout and Marcus in the shed, the skull fracture and the bag of peas🤣🙈. Cee’s books are the ones you finish reading and immediately want to turn right around and read again. By the way was glad to see the beginning of the payback for Clem, Izzy, and Stoffer👀

I loved it so much!! It was everything I could have possibly imagined and more!! I laughed out loud - so much! I got to visit with old friends - there’s nothing better than that. And Jazmyne and Lucius’ story. My heart. They are meant to be together. And the Kings may be on the wrong side of the law at times but good always triumphs over evil. And the Kings do it with style! So darn good!!! I can’t wait to read it again!!

Awesome!

I always enjoy the world that Cee has created and this book is a great example of why. She has such a great ability to tell a story that includes the whole town. I was very happy to see some of the Kings we hadn't heard from in a while. There was even a Knight and a Connor around! Love Cee's books. Once I start reading one I can't stop until it's finished! Now I wait to find out about The Timed Served MC in Tenillo.

Love all of her work

I have bee n reading all of her work in the last 2 months. I do wish I had looked up the order that she wrote them in first because all of here series are connected in some way. You don't have to read them in order bit I think it would have been more fun that way. I can not wait to read more. I am soooooo looking forward to the ne t generation ♥️ ♥️ ♥️ ♥️ ♥️

Overall I did enjoy this book. I struggled with Jaz though. I didn't care for her hiding Lucius but understood in the beginning. I felt she should have come clean when their relationship progressed. I also had a hard time with her physical violence toward Lucius. If it's not acceptable to be violent with a woman in a relationship (and it's not), then it's not ok to be violent with a man. I had a lot more acceptance for Lucius though, which really surprised me given his profession.

Not really my fave. We’ve read so much of their story in earlier books (from the reading order not just the Rojo TX series). So I felt like this was rehashing old ground.

The sub plot of Brian was interesting albeit anticlimactic and was newly introduced so that was good.

I liked both characters though I was frustrated with her and her stubbornness to tell her family about him. I felt his anger was justified but hers in him not accepting it was not. It was immature.

I absolutely loved the story of Jaz and Luc!
You have a lot of humor, a bit of heartache and a lot more laughter!
You get to see the Kings MC throughout this book and you see and learn about the bond between Jaz, Lout and Marcus!
Jaz and Luc are perfect for each other!
100% must read.
This book is one of my favourites from Cee.
Well done and I can't wait to see what happens next!

Fabulous

I read this book in just a couple of hours hated putting it down. How Cee Bowerman thinks up these plots and covered all the bases to make sure it all pulls together is remarkable. I can never decide which book is my favorite but this one is right up there at the top. Please keep those books coming I hate having to wait for the next one I'm so impatient.

Grey?

What seems to be black and white for some is grey for others. Luc and Jaz find were it lies or not. This is one remarkable love story so Romeo and Juliet or Westside story. I love all of Cee Bowerman books and will continue to read them for as long as she keeps writing them. Love everything Rojo, TX.💚💙

Be prepared to laugh

Throughout many different books by Cee, we hear about the ups and downs about Jazmyne and Lucius's relationship. Now we can read about them first hand and enjoy the tension.

Lucius gets naked in a room full of bikers, Jazmyne throws hair care items at him. Nef guns, rope, money, and laughter. All can be read about, if you dare to open your kindle!
