Can two people with broken hearts help each other to heal?

When I interview for the position of nanny for a billionaire’s three-month-old daughter, I’m looking for an escape. From my past, from my memories, and from those both alive and dead who refuse to give me peace.

Kingfisher House is exactly what I need—a huge, quiet retreat high atop the cliffs overlooking New Zealand’s rugged coastline, straight out of a Gothic novel. It even has its own brooding hero.

Ben Prince is gorgeous, stern, and withdrawn, and he’s forbidden everyone to discuss what happened to baby Estella’s mother. It’s only as I delve deeper into his life that I discover although his heart has been broken, it’s not for the reasons I first thought.

We’re both determined not to get involved. But as we reveal each other’s secrets, heat rises between us until it’s too strong to fight. All we can do is hope it doesn’t consume us completely…

I wouldn’t have started reading it if I had known that both main characters had lost their spouses. I didn’t want any grief or depression right now.
The heroine had a very difficult time to overcome her husband’s passing, she was still discussing with him in her mind.

The Irresistible Billionaire is the perfect start to the new series from Serenity Woods .
Heloise Jones is in desperate need of a job and Ben Prince is in desperate need of a nanny for his tiny daughter Estella so could this be the perfect solution for both of them.....
This is the first book in the new series featuring the Prince Family and I have to say this book left me wanting more and I’m excited to get the rest of this large families tales. This story is not just a romance it goes much deeper and it touched me on so many levels, it’s about two people who have suffered loss and who at the time of meeting need each other for different reasons, it’s about opening up and trusting if you take a leap of faith someone will catch you and it’s about love and family.
I fell hard and fast for Heloise and Ben, I felt their pain and found myself wishing and hoping they would get the HEA they both deserved. As always Ms Woods does a wonderful job describing New Zealand and gives us a great rundown on the Prince family without giving us to much, she leaves you with enough to keep you excited but not too much that you know what’s coming. I fell in love with this family but I also enjoyed catching up with previous characters so I guess all I need to say is please one click this gem of a read because this book will appeal to all romance lovers.

Serenity Woods writes a lot of billionaires and The Irresistible Billionaire is yet another story in which a down-on-her-luck lady gets employed by a rich single daddy who needs a nanny. What sets this book apart is the way both characters are dealing with grief and guilt.

Heloise left her job as a cancer researcher to take care of her husband Arnie who got ALS at a young age. After he died, she felt the need to leave her former life behind and went travelling. Covid-19 forced her to return to New Zealand but she still isn't ready to return to her research. She is grieving for Arnie with somewhat mixed feelings, as their relationship was not perfect even when he was fine. His first love was always his work and she was a satellite orbiting him, so to speak. Now that she's back she still hears Arnie's voice when she has thoughts about other men and new relationships. Her family and friends are giving her more grief because they think she should continue to try to cure cancer, and she's more or less cut everyone off. So the chance to go be a live-in-nanny at this billionaire's hard-to reach house comes as a welcome respite, as she considers whether it's time to let go of Arnie's shadow and open herself to new things and people.

Ben is a businessman whose pregnant wife died after a car accident. The baby, Estella, survived, and now Ben needs a full time child minder. Ben's grief is mixed with feelings of anger and guilt because he thought his late wife was a manipulative person and their marriage was largely on the rocks when she died. He recently lost his mother as well and there is another relative who doesn't have long to live. He is attracted to Heloise immediately but the boss-employee relationship causes some reservations, as well as the fact that his wife died quite recently and he thinks that to respect Estella's mother he should take more time to start another relationship openly.

This is well written and well edited, not as dark and gloomy as my summary might indicate. We get both Heloise's and Ben's perspectives in present tense. I think my favorite part was how a baby monitor could propel things forward. Generally I like this author's writing style and this book was no exception.

Steam level: Some premarital bedroom action, not extremely graphic. No cheating, danger or excessive family drama. There is one character that might be described as an antagonist but the issues with him are quickly resolved. Most of the conflict here is within the thoughts and feelings of the characters and I think it works well.

I got an ARC from the author and this is a voluntary review.

5 Star Review of The Irresistible Billionaire (The Billionaire Princes #1) by Serenity Woods

I was so excited when I learnt that Serenity Woods was beginning a new series. If The Irresistible Billionaire is anything to go by, she has another winning series on her hands.

This is Heloise Jones and Ben Prince’s story and is one I loved. Ben needs a nanny and Heloise needs a job, could anything be more perfect? This was an emotional roller coaster of a read as both Heloise and Ben have both suffered loss, grief and guilt. This is a story that got to me on so many levels and I found myself cheering for Heloise and Ben to get the happily ever after that they both deserved.

I fell hard and fast for both Heloise and Ben, both separately and together. From the first word to the last, Ms.Woods wove a story that had me riveted and I was frustrated when real life got in my way. This is a story of coming to terms with your past, of love and family and is one that I have no hesitation in recommending.

The chemistry and attraction that sizzles between them is too hard to resist despite the fact that Ben is her boss. As their relationship progressed, it was heart warming to see how much support they were to one another as they both dealt with their grief, pain and guilt.

There is something about Ms.Woods style of writing, it is so descriptive that I can easily see myself in New Zealand. This is a well written story with strong characters that Ms.Woods is not afraid to show in all their flawed glory. I cannot wait to see what she has in store for this family. The Irresistible Billionaire by Serenity Woods
The Billionaire Princes #1

Another splendid story that introduces a family I am eager to learn more about. Four brothers and with a sister, all billionaires, all met in this book, will no doubt provide me with much reading pleasure. I can’t wait!

What I liked:
* Heloise Jones: more than a nanny but a wonderful nanny, too. She is bright, dedicated, loving, kind, attractive, generous, and grieving.
* Ben Prince: brother, son, grandson, widow, father, and billionaire. He is successful, professional, loving, generous, kind, attractive, and dealing with feelings after the loss of his wife.
* Kora Prince: the only female prince sibling, dealing with a broken heart, temporary caregiver to Estella. Eager to find out how her HEA will come about.
* Estella: anchor of the story – without her Ben and Heloise probably would never have met.
* Meeting the Prince brothers. Theo was seen a bit more and is the twin of Kora but the other two sound intriguing, too.
* Nick Prince: father, widow and also in line for a potential romance in one of the coming books of the series.
* The love shown by the Prince family for one another
* That the Prince family seemed to be genuine and kind and down to earth.
* Learning the backstories of both Ben and Heloise
* Finding out how the Princes and Kings are related
* Wondering if Victor will show up in a future book.
* The house…sounded gorgeous!
* All of it really except…

What I didn’t like:
* Knowing that each sad situation in this book can and does happen in real life. (medical, relationship, emotional, family, friendship, and more)
* Having to say goodbye knowing it will be awhile before another book will be ready to read.

Did I enjoy this book? Definitely
Would I read more in this series? As soon as possible!

Thank you to the author for the ARC – This is my honest review.

I have read over 50 of Ms. Woods' books and I love the fact that her romances have depth and feeling, and she is not afraid to tackle real-life problems and relationships. I believe that The Irresistible Billionaire is my favorite of all her books! From the very beginning the story grabbed me and pulled me in. If I did not have time to read I thought about the book and could not wait to continue; the mark of a really good book. The main characters Heloise and Ben are well developed and compelling. They are both widows and broken souls riddled with guilt from their past marriage and hesitant to date again. I loved that the story emphasized that even billionaires have to work for their future and even with all their money they are not exempt from the same problems of failed relationships, disease, accidents and failure as the rest of us. This book has lots of heart and emotion, and an adorable baby that Heloise is hired to take care of, so prepare your feelings. But like all of her books, Ms. Woods makes this a happily ever after as love conquers problems. Thanks to Ms. Woods I volunteered to read and review an early copy. I cannot wait for the rest of the series since there are still several single billionaire siblings left.

As much as I enjoyed the writing, the whole tone of this book was just a little bit off for what I wanted right now.

Both Heloise and Ben had pretty tragic backstories (triggers for losses of loved ones, health issues, inc. cancer, and depression). At one point the whole plot was pretty dark and almost thriller-like as we discovered the mystery with Ben’s deceased wife (which, admittedly, was pretty intriguing).

I finished the book feeling pretty blah because it focused so much on the sad and had very few uplifting moments.

I loved the concept of the plot and I enjoyed Heloise and Ben’s romance, but the “love” stage came a little too quickly for me. I wanted more of the “stern and withdrawn” Ben that was teased in the description, but they very quickly moved into being more than just nanny and employer.

It didn’t help that a large part of the book focused on other plot lines (like the sick grandad, Ben’s sister’s relationship, and drama to do with Ben’s ex-friend and wife) so we got relatively little romance compared to most other Serenity Woods books I’ve read.

I was super excited for this series because I loved the Three Wise Men and Billionaire Kings series so much and I thought this one would be a lot of fun, considering it’s about a family who owns a children’s toy store, but instead it was just...sad.

I will probably pick up the second book, but I’m hoping it’s a little more uplifting that this one was!

I wanted to love this book, I really did. It’s set in New Zealand which was a huge tick and I loved some of the cultural references.

To me though, both characters felt like they could have been explored more. They both had tragic pasta and somehow, in the space of a couple of chapters these pasts are put aside and there’s insta-love. I felt it lacked something.

I was able to stop the book with under an hour to read and go to bed at a reasonable hour on a Saturday night, then read in a coffee shop and leave with 20 minutes to go because it sort of meandered.

Love this author as I’ve read many of her books. This one was disappointing. There was so much potential and it just fell short. I was hoping for something as worthy as the Three Kings series, especially since there’s a tie in. When it comes to my “three Cs” it didn’t rate well:
There wasn’t realistic CHEMISTRY between Ben and Heloise.
The CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT was seriously lacking. The story felt very rushed and like there were pieces missing from it. Where was the epilogue? What about Victor, we don’t get much about his back story at all? What happens with Ben and Heloise? What about the rest of the siblings, specifically Kora? Not sure that I want to continue with this series.
The CONTINUITY was all over the place. You get a bit about each character and how their life intersect with Ben, but that’s about it. Ms. woods normally does a much better job of piecing all the plots together and keeping you on your toes. In this book you get snippets that are loosely tied together. No typos which was the best thing about it, but I was confused about Heloise’s’ family and their lack of support. Why mention them if you’re not going to expand on their involvement?

This whole book just felt like a throw away and something quick to appease the publisher. And that’s how I C it!

EVERY. FREAKING. PARAGRAPH. IS. ABOUT. THEIR. DECEASED. SPOUSES. ARNIE. ARNIE. ARNIE. REBECCA. REBECCA. REBECCA. HE IS MUCH BETTER LOOKING THAN ARNIE. SHE'S NOTHING LIKE REBECCA. HE'S MUCH BIGGER THAN ATMORE. WHO THE FUCK CARES??? IF YOU'RE HAVING SEX, JUST STOP. JFC. I'M DNF At 60% IN. I CAN NOT TAKE ANYMORE. 30% in and all I'm reading is h complain to H to her ghost of a dead husband. It's getting redundant. And repetitive. We get it. He was smart, brilliant, and perfect. But he's dead. Quit comparing him. Get over him. It's been 2 years. Or don't get over him but quit comparing. I'm this close to DNF because IT'S BLOODY FRUSTRATING, WE DON'T WANT TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR DECEASED HUSBAND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN EVERY 2 SECONDS.

Not For Me

The characters attraction felt forced. I tried to finish the book but at 71% I realized it just wasn’t for me. I get the tragedy both characters experienced but it just kept dragging on and on. I felt nothing especially during their intimate scenes. Really dry and boring.

The Irresistible Billionaire begins the new series, The Billionaire Princes. The series is related to previous series from Serenity Woods, but stands on its own, so you can jump right in.

The Princes are a family who started a very successful toy shop and are branching out into a new Christmas theme park. (Having visited a place like that as a kid, it's popular year-round.) Heloise is interviewing as a nanny for the new baby of Ben Prince. She needs the job and is tight on funds, but there are underlying questions about her past. I could tell there was some heartache and trouble there, but she appears competent and loving toward kids. Ben's brother, Theo suggests Heloise honestly answer Ben's questions, as there has been dishonesty in the past and Theo has a good feeling about her. When Ben agrees to hire Heloise as his nanny, there is a requirement to live in Ben's beautiful home surrounded by nature.

I respected and appreciated that Ben and Heloise stayed true to themselves. When 2020 kept many people trapped inside, I could easily understand how having access to the home's beautiful outdoor space could help give Heloise and Ben a sense of peace and healing. When the time for explaining came, they were both up front with each other about their past hurts and where they were emotionally. Their stories didn't tumble out all at once, but they didn't lie to each other. I felt like everyone we met was an authentic character. Everyone behaved like I expected they would, not jumping to crazy conclusions or acting out. Even when Ben confronts a former friend, who really hurt him, he doesn't behave like a rage-fueled jerk.

This is more of a personal preference, but I'm not a fan of insta-love. I thought Heloise and Ben were good together and for each other, but didn't get on board with them falling for each other so quickly. They weren't spending much one-on-one time together and Heloise was trying to give Ben his privacy when he was home. I was confused how so much of what was holding Ben back was how his infant daughter would feel about him having a relationship with someone who wasn't her mother. Considering she was surrounded by love, I wasn't sure how this was even an issue. Granted this could have just been an excuse, because he was scared to try a new relationship, but considering baby Estella's mother died before they could meet, it seemed like he was reaching for reasons to say, "no."

My preferences aside, Serenity Woods has a great track record with me, and I'm excited to read how this close-knit family experiences love in the rest of the series!

This is a delightful love story beautifully told by Serenity Woods.
When Heloise Jones was waiting to be interviewed for a nanny's post little did she know how her life was about to change.
Heloise has been a scientist working alongside, but always in the shadow of, her brilliant husband Arnie, they were working on a cure for a certain type of cancer and when they thought that they were very close Arnie had died from Motor Neurone Disease. Heloise was inconsolable and, although everyone was disappointed in her, she gave up her job and travelled. She needed to work to pay the bills, she had done early child development in her teens but that had been fourteen years ago and here she was waiting to be interviewed for a nanny's post looking after the child of a widowed billionaire, who was she kidding, but she did need this job.
Benjamin Prince was the CEO of an international toy company and was about to open a prestigious theme park, he liked Heloise immediately but he was unsure, there was a fourteen year gap in her CV....she was hiding something. Ben's insightful brother Theo persuaded Ben that Heloise was the right person for the job, how could he justify not giving it to her when he himself had his secrets.
It was love at first sight between Heloise and baby Estella and Ben was delighted, he was also more delighted than he should be having Heloise in his home but, with the encouragement of his sister Kora, life became good again.
This story follows the blossoming love between Heloise and Ben, the hurdles that were in their way, the guilt that they were both feeling, were their feelings for one another strong enough to overcome all this ? A great story.
I received a free copy of this book and my review is voluntary.

There is something about Serenity Woods books that I find so relaxing. The characters, although they are billionaires, have issues that money can't fix. They tend to encounter people that are not their financial equals, but they don't use their money to manipulate, coerce, or control them.

I think I enjoyed this book so much because while Ben and Heloise had painful experiences in their lives and were somewhat trapped in those experiences, meeting one another brought them out of the pain.

The things that happened in this book
are part of the experience of living. I think they are handled in such a positive way. The Princes, like the Kings, had such a sense of love, loyalty, family, and support. They pulled Heloise into their circle so she no longer felt alone.

I liked the way Ben and Heloise had an initial attraction that turned into sexual tension, and ultimately into steamy sensual encounters. I also admired the way Heloise stepped away from what she was doing (or what society thought she should do) to do something that gave her some peace and joy. I loved the way everyone loved LaLa.

This is not to say that there was no tension, stress, unhappiness, or any of the other negative emotions or situations in this book. I think it was the way they were handled in the story that makes me appreciate this writers work so much.

I do wish I there had been more about the grandfather's and the rest of the family's reaction to what Victor did. Maybe it will be mentioned in another book.

Overall, this book was relaxing, satisfying, and made me feel good. Sometimes I need this in a book I read. Serenity Woods hasn't failed me yet. I look forward to the rest of the books in this series.

I knew it!!!! I knew that if Serenity Woods wrote a story, it would be great... and it was!
I read Woods' "Three Wise Men" series a few years ago and loved them. I was really excited when I discovered that she had continued the series through the next generation and called it "The Billionaire Kings". Now we get to hear about the rest of the family, the Prince family, in this new series, "The Billionaire Princes". The play on names is actaully brought up in the book: a great grandfather with two children: one who marries into the King family, and the other who continues the family name of Prince. "The Irrisitible Billionaire" is the first in this new series of books.

Ben Prince may have a lot of money, but his life is far from perfect. Heloise may be an incredibly talented research scientist, but her life is not even close to enchanted. Two broken souls in need of healing. Two very different stories of pain and trust that are entwined beatifully. I am always astounded at the way an author is able to bring situations and circumstances together to form an amazing love story. Serenity Woods has done this and more.

Woods has an incredible writing style that uses vivid, detailed language to paint the beauty of New Zealand. You will want to make your reservation to visit every place she writes about! Her characters are people you want to know and call friends. They're vulnerable with real problems. You may even find yourself cheering when they're happy and saddened when life rears its ugly head.

"The Irresistible Billionaire" is a wonderful beginning to the Billionaire Princes series and a fun way to catch up with some of your favorite characters from Woods' previous books. I definitely recommend this story.

THE IRRESISTIBLE BILLIONAIRE #1 is a standalone read with a happy ending. There are sexy scenes if that is an issue for you. It is the first book in a new romantic series about a big family. The Prince's family has owned the largest toy store in New Zealand for several generations. It started small and just got bigger and bigger. Today the CEO of the toy store is the oldest son in Nick's family. There are younger siblings of brothers and one sister. Ben, 34, is a widower. His wife was killed in a car wreck a few months ago. She was close to her delivery date when the accident occurred. Her daughter was delivered while she was on life support. Ben's younger sister has been caring for the infant since she was born. But she needs to get back to her life and job so the search for a nanny is on-going.

Heloise, 32, is applying for the job. Theo, Ben's younger brother, is conducting the interviews. They have to be careful, some women will go to any extreme to get close to the Prince brothers. Theo has a good feeling about Heloise. He feels she will be perfect for the job but he feels she is hiding something.

These folks have their share of secrets. There are secrets surrounding Ben's dead wife but it seems no one in the family wants to talk about it. But Heloise can hardly be upset since she too has secrets that she doesn't want to share. It is a good love story and a great beginning for a new series. I definitely recommend it.

I was not paid for this review. I am not a writer nor do I know one. I am not kin to this author. I am a reader and this is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. 5/9/2021

Life is getting back to normal after the COVID 2020 Year with The Irresistible Billionaire (The Billionaire Princes Book 1) by Serenity Woods. Cousins to the Kings this family is introduced with Ben Prince the eldest of the siblings. At first I wondered if his story would be similar to Brock King’s with having lost his wife too. No these stories are vastly different.

This was like taking a trip back to New Zealand in all the best ways, including seeing places such as the Kingfisher House which would not be part of any tourists’ tour. I felt a peace and calmness just reading about that home.

It is such a well-developed story with the main characters getting to know each other in such an easy and natural way. I loved all the references to movies and books especially one of all-time favorites books from many years ago. There is a bit of a mystery, sadness, healing, and hope for the future within this well thought out romance.

Ben and Heloise Jones are engaging characters who have suffered in life. Then there is sweet little Estella. Heloise’s situation may be worse than Ben’s because of survivor’s guilt which while bad enough had added public opinion. In fact I found this surprising because here in the US I have always assumed the big pharmaceutical companies own just about all major research not any one scientist. Still both deserve to be loved by someone s special as they both were. Loved their story and say” “Bring on the next Prince soon!”

The publisher/author gave me a complimentary ARC of the book which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Heloise and Ben’s story in The Irresistible Billionaire by Serenity Woods, book one in the Billionaire Princes series, is an emotional, wonderful, heartwarming, sweet romance about two hurting people, with broken hearts in need of healing. When Heloise interviewed for the position of nanny for a billionaire’s three-month-old daughter, she’s looking for an escape; from her past, her memories, and those, dead and alive who refuse to give her peace. Living away from the city in Kingfisher House, a retreat, high atop the cliffs overlooking New Zealand’s rugged coastline is a place of healing. Ben Prince is a handsome, stern, brooding, withdrawn but loving father who has forbidden everyone to talk about what happened to baby Estella’s mother. Heloise, being a curious sort, decides to search for answers; learning that although Ben has a broken heart, it’s not because of the death of his former wife. Spending time together, Heloise and Ben discover a magnetic attraction and a strong chemistry growing between them, one that is difficult to resist despite their determination to not get involved. The magic of Kingfisher House helps in the healing of Ben and Heloise as they confront their pasts and the possibility of a future together.

Ms. Woods wrote a wonderful, emotional and heartwarming story that should not be missed. She provided a tale rich with sizzling chemistry, fun dialogue, the magic of love, and endearing characters giving Heloise and Ben a chance at love, happiness, and a future neither expected. I highly recommend The Irresistible Billionaire to other readers.

Grief-stricken Heloise leaves her research position after the death of her husband from ALS. Returning to a job that she loved in the past, Heloise interviews to become billionaire Ben Prince's baby's nanny. Heloise is advised to be honest that Ben has had enough secrets in the past. After being vilified by her family and friends for leaving her promising cancer treatment research behind, Heloise finds it hard to share her past. Ben also needs healing after the death of his wife four months ago. Even though Heloise is the perfect candidate to be Estella's nanny, Ben isn't sure if he should hire Heloise because of his attraction to her. Soon after arriving at the home, Heloise is surprised that the only picture of Ben's deceased wife is in the baby's room and that no one will talk about her. I received a free copy of this ebook from the author. This is my honest and voluntarily given review. This book quickly pulled me into the story. I really felt the emotions of the characters in this story. I like that the home and its setting helped the healing of both of them. There are a couple of steamy scenes, but the emphasis in the book is the relationship that grows between Ben and Heloise. The friendship that develops between Heloise and Ben's sister Kora is an added bonus. Since this series is based on the Prince Family, I look forward to seeing more of Kora and Theo and the rest of Ben's family as well as Ben and Heloise.

Serenity Woods has produced the first of another wonderful series, this one set in the Wellington area in New Zealand. In the first book we meet the heir to the title The Prince of Toys. It is a stand-alone book but there are a few references you will understand a little better if you have read about their cousins, the Kings in the Three Wise Men series. The Prince is not a happy man. His life is clouded by loss, upcoming loss, mystery, loneliness and through it all has his young daughter to raise. He needs help and who better to understand than someone who has gone through illness and life-changing loss as well. Two wounded souls come together to heal each other. Well done! A.com, A.ca (not on GR?)

R: A new series with interesting, intriguing, likeable characters. Our heroine is old enough to have kids of her own. She mobs from the mass metropolis of London into the English countryside and meets up with like-minded ladies who teach her things she didn’t know about herself, how her inherent instincts can help her adjust to post-divorce life and how the mystics and magic of moonshine and witchcraft can help her solve a murder. Really intriguing. Looking forward to more books in the series.

An absolutely lovely romance
5 stars

Serenity Woods has touched my heart and entertained me yet again with this first book in a new contemporary romance series. This book has all the emotions, beautiful writing, and a gorgeous setting in the South Island of New Zealand. It is sort of a slow burn with exquisitely intimate love scenes. The story is imbued with a sense of hope and healing. Every fan of contemporary romance, every fan of Serenity Woods, and every fan of Jane Eyre should try this wonderful book.

The two main characters, Heloise and Ben, are in their early thirties and have both experienced the death of a spouse within the last two years. I love the slight similarities to “Jane Eyre”: Heloise has been employed by a brooding but charming rich man, Ben Prince, at a remote estate to take care of his daughter. However, we get first person perspective chapters from Ben in addition to Heloise, so Ben is a little less mysterious than Mr. Rochester. Heloise and Ben are both good people who have been through a lot lately, and their romance is so sweet, sensual, and satisfying. Ben’s family is lovable as well, so I am eagerly anticipating the next book in the series.

This is a romance with a lot of heart as both the H and h have suffered pain in their former marriages. Heloise’s husband died a terrible death from early-onset ALS. Her pain was so great that she left her job as a cancer researcher to work as a nanny. She accepts a job to take care of Ben Prince’s adorable baby girl. His former wife, Rebecca, died in a car accident, but we soon find out that she was quite similar to the fictional Rebecca from Daphne Du Maurier’s classic novel.

There isn’t much dramatic conflict in the story. Heloise and Ben are immediately attracted to each other. They’re both good people and Ben’s family are all good people. The baby is a very well-behaved sweetheart.

Two decent people discover that their lives aren’t as closed off to love and happiness as they thought. And Serenity Woods has started another fun series about extremely rich people who are just ordinary people with good hearts.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book that I received from the author; however, the opinions are my own and I did not receive any compensation for my review.

Heloise, who was a scientist, lost her husband to Motor Neuron Disease. Since then, she quit her job, gave all the insurance money to charity, and was disowned by her family and friends. She traveled some to get away from everything and work on herself. Now she has applied to be a nanny for a billionaire who has lost his wife in an accident when she was nine months pregnant. Ben’s brother Theo was the one who did the initial interview and he thought she would be perfect for the job so he then took her to be interviewed by Ben. Theo only said to her to be honest as Ben had trust issues. That being said, when he met her, he saw what Theo saw in her and hired her. From then, they started to open up a little more about themselves to each other and it wasn’t long before they enjoyed each other’s company as they enjoyed the same things, especially history. Estella was such a sweetheart of a baby, you just wished you could reach through the pages and give her a squeeze. Enjoyed the story of rich but down to earth people.

blurb from author email:
When you’re broken, abandoned, and lonely, the isolated mansion of a gorgeous billionaire is the perfect escape…

SO MUCH WARMTH AND EMOTION!

Heloise just needs a safe place to land and heal. The past 18 months since the death of her husband and all it entailed have left her a mere shell of herself. Becoming a nanny for an infant whose mother died at birth, living in a secluded home on the ocean and next to a national park, sounds like exactly what she needs.

Hunky Ben has also had a rough year. His wife died 3 months ago but there was a lot more to the marriage than that. He needs time for his soul to mend, and sweet and calm Heloise is exactly what both he and baby Estella need.

The Prince family may be billionaires but they are just a normal family who are very close and care about each other a lot. Heloise is not used to that, her own family has turned against her because of her choices. She is able to breathe at Kotere and find solice. Ben is such a wonderful father and I loved watching these two heal each other. Such a great story with no angst and so much warmth and emotion!

Heloise is a widow who has had a hard time moving forward. Ben is a billionaire widower with a young infant who is in need of a nanny. Heloise has left the field of medical research behind after her husbands death and gone back to her roots as a child care provider. The fates have brought the two together, is their automatic attraction a whim or the real thing? Like many of Serenity Woods’ books this book deals with life affecting issues that readers confront in their lives.
I love all of Serenity's books especially the King series and its add on series. I was very excited for the Prince series to begin and it doesn’t disappoint. I really loved that there wasn’t a lot of angst with this book. It had a little drama, but as the first book in the series it introduced us to the Prince family members and the family dynamics. I enjoyed this “feel good” book and I look forward to the 2nd book in the series.

You know that lovely feeling when reading a book feels like luxuriating in a hot bath - cosy, satisfying and good for the soul? That's how this book made me feel. Good people, trying their hardest to find happiness, without trampling over other people on the way. You can't help but root for them and hope everything works out.

Even better there are none of those annoying 'miscommunications' that are so common in chick lit; where there's a completely avoidable bump in the road just to add some drama and tension but actually it takes you out of the story because you're so cross the characters are acting against type just to add in an unnecessary sub plot.

Don't be surprised if reading this leads you onto the Three Wise Men series (about Brock and his brothers) or the Billionaire Kings books (Hal and co) just while you wait for the next book in this series. They're all fantastic, slightly escapist, stories with heart.

I received an ARC of this book in return for an honest review.

I borrowed Irresistible Billionaire ~ The Billionaire Princes Book 1, by Serenity Woods from the Kindle Unlimited Program.

Ben Prince, the CEO of his family toy company is looking for a nanny for his infant daughter. Heloise Jones applies for the job although she is a research doctor on developing a cure for cancer and way over qualified.

The rest of the story is full of fun, romance and adventure. Both Heloise and Ben have been married and their spouses have died so grief and guilt are issues that they share and help each other with to recover and move forward. Baby Estella and the peaceful beauty of Ben's home are both helpful to each of them. Another element is dealing with having a close family member a terminal cancer victim.

I loved the maturity, basic kindness, gentleness and consideration of the characters as they realistically faced life's challenges and found romance.
