I can't do it.
After Ariel, REPEATEDLY, made stupid choices and still did not learn from them--- I just can't.
Every time she just says something akin to, "I may have acted rashly" or "I may have jumped the gun" or "I may have acted preemptively", ect.
No, you totally made dumbass decisions and people have been injured or tortured as a result. Does she learn? Nope. Not only that, her mate just keeps telling her, "it's okay, I know you didn't mean to...[insert whatever stupid choice she made]".
I was initially intrigued by her not traditionally going along with the "fated mates" thing, because that is realistic shit. Finally one person is fated mates and the other is not of the species and does not "inta-luv" the other person.
(I know, I know, this is all fictional anyways-- whatever)
However, I cannot get over her actions, in this book! She reminds me of Claire in "Outlander". (Do not get me started on that woman)
Ariel keeps making HORRIBLE choices. You THINK she would listen to someone that KNOWS a little bit about the supernatural. Considering he has known about the supernatural his whole life AND is a werewolf AND is your mate.
I mean, you were kept in the dark your whole life about what you are, but obviously you can make good choices with no information...
Yeah, yeah, that is working out well...
DNF.
