Has anyone noticed Los Angeles is going to the monsters?
The City of Angels is under attack and the Silver Griffins are calling all agents.
What monster is making the rounds and threatening to expose magic?
Mr. No has returned and is invading dreams. The sinister Dwarf has figured out how to sap away magicals’ dreams and aspirations.
Silver Griffins Agent 485 Lucy Heron is on it!
But it’s getting worse.
How will she protect a growing band of magicals who won’t even raise a wand to protect themselves?
Calling all family. This will take every Heron, even the little one with the secret superhero club to take down the evil lawyer before he comes up with an even darker idea.
Can Lucy figure out how to defeat this monster plaguing everyone’s dreams before he turns into her nightmare?
Okay, I'm a late bloomer who's a big DC comics fan and spent my childhood summers on the Jersey shore but I was born under a wandering star and have lived in different parts of America ever since. That's enough about me. Need to feel inspired today? Looking for something to make you root for an ordinary hero? I'm all about that in everything I write.
I love a good tale that makes me wonder about things and I love a story even more that leaves me feeling inspired or like I'm capable of doing more than I realized. That's my goal with everything I've ever written. Some of the stories I tell involve twisting, turning thrillers and others have a lot of magic.
There's something to be said for getting lost in another world and coming out the other side feeling a little better about yourself or the possibilities in front of you. That's basically the best part of life in a nutshell, no matter what kind of story I'm setting out to tell.
Yet another fun, and occasionally a little dark, great story!
This time, Lucy is confronted with a puzzle. Certain people around LA, are waking up, having lost all will to enjoy life, or fight for what was once a driving idea, or desire.
This strange malady gets ever closer, when first Roger Applegate, her Boss, and then her eldest son, Dylan, wake up in the same way.
Lucy, of course, won't ignore this, and so she starts investigating what might be the problem.
But, when the Dwarf, Gruffbar, who had been Zero's Lawyer, tells her about an evil, called Mr No, who is invading people's dreams, Lucy has to get more people on the job of catching him, before he affects everybody.
This is going to be difficult, with Kelly acting as interim Manager for the LA Silver Griffins, and taking her responsibilities far too seriously!🤣
This was a great story, as usual, with it's same complexity of plotline and story, and with characters behaving in unusual ways.
These cosy stories really are great, and I enjoy them very much. I loved the way that, despite Lucy getting angry at Kelly's overbearing manner towards her, she still managed to make excuses for horrible behaviour towards her! Lol
I must admit, I'm not sure that I'd have the same measure of charity towards Kelly, that Lucy manages, albeit with gritted teeth, but I guess that just proves Lucy the better person! Lol
Now that I've finished this book, I'm going straight off to read Book Fiv of this series: 'Mom's The Word' and, once I've finished it, I'll see you on the flip side, to let you know what I think of it!
Btw, I bought this series in a Boxed Set but, as I really believe that each book deserves it's own, separate, review, and so this is what I've done!
Lucy and the Silver Griffins are after an evil bad guy that steals people's ambitions in their dreams. I really enjoyed the bad guy in this book. He was very easy to dislike and made me really want the good guys to win. Each of these books just gets better and I am looking forward to the next adventure.
Your dreams and ambitions are being stolen while you are asleep. You lose all your will to do more than just function to get through the day. When Mom realializes that she can thwart the monster in her dreams she and a few of her friends work out how to trap the dream monster and restores everything back to normal. A most fascinating read. Enjoy!
I am really enjoying these stories. They are like a cup of hot chocolate on a cold night; a great story to curl up with and just enjoy. The character development is great for all the characters, which is nice to see, and I'm even starting to maybe, possibly, warm up to Kelly. Maybe. A little. When she isn't being so controlling, anyway. Lol.
Lucy has a new criminal to stop. An ancient enemy has come to LA. A creature that enters dreams and feeds on the essence of the dreamer. And it has attacked her children. A good read.
Very interesting battle between a witch mom agent and a dream stealing monster. After her boss, several others and one of her children lose their dream initiative to this monster, she finds a way to capture it.
I like this one. It was a little predictable, but not overly so. I didn't know how Lucy and her team would catch Mr. No and it worked out well. It did seem like the ending was rushed though. Still fun and quick and cute.
It just keeps getting better! Mom known as Lucy just keeps fighting bad guys with her kids help. Her boy loses his mind to Mr. No a guy that steels dreams. Read to find out what's next.
I highly recommend this magical book, and the imaginative series and spin-offs thereof, to readers of all ages, who love reading Kick butt Urban Fantasy. Enjoy!
More fun with Lucy and her kids, the mini Griffins , the underground magical kids and the nature elves. Each group has a part to play in protecting their city.
O melhor e o mais apavorante da série até agora. Lembrei-me de A hora do pesadelo sem as mortes violentas e com muita magia e tecnologias unidas para salvar o mundo.
As with all the books of this series, this one makes you think. That will never be a bad thing. The myriad of main characters are very believable, the plot is easily followed and interesting, and the feeling of a very large family, working together makes the story fascinating. I highly recommend this book and the entire series.
