New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Nicole Edwards spends her days stringing words together to make complete sentences. Sometimes not. Her best friend is coffee, and she has a love/hate relationship with sarcasm. She’s been accused of having a filthy imagination, which she admits is true.

Nicole lives in the suburbs of Austin, Texas. She proudly claims one husband, three grown children, and two bosses (better known as the dogs). When she isn’t writing, watching football or hockey, or keeping her bosses happy, you can probably find her with a book in hand.

There are just no words. This is honestly the first time I have ever put down a Nicole Edwards book to take a break, the emotions this book will pull from you are unexpected because this is unlike any of Nicole's other books.

If you have been reading the Brantley Walker: Off the Books Series this is a MUST READ, if you have read TRAVIS, Alluring Indulgence Series, this series is a MUST READ. Do you understand what I'm saying here...this is a MUST READ if you have come to know Travis and his family in any of the books.

Nicole did a fabulous job with ripping my heart apart and then putting it back together again. Am I an emotional reader? yes I am. Would I read this book in public? No I wouldn't. Would I recommend this book? ABSOLUTELY!

I wouldn't recommend reading this book as a standalone because there is a lot of backstory to this one but as I mentioned before if you have read any of the books in this series or Travis' book then I would highly recommend you read this one.

Happy Reading!!!

Be ready. There's no turning back once you start.
Alibi is unlike anything Nicole Edwards has ever written.
You'll be drawn in, destroyed, then reborn within the pages of this book.
You only get one chance to read a story for the first time. One chance to experience all of the emotions, characters, laugh out loud moments, shock, and sometimes, devastation. Then, a truly great author will put you back together and grow something new before the last page is turned, leaving you hungover and longing for more. This is that book.
A MUST READ BOOK/SERIES

Book 5 in the Off the Books series and this story will suck you in and then spit you back out to only pull you in again. There is so much emotion flowing through each page. Travis has been struggling for a long time but when his daughter is taken, that breaks him. Travis is reunited with his daughter but her kidnapper is not found. The hunt for the kidnapper brings back many familiar faces and not only do we get Travis’ story, we get to revisit some favorites and see how they are doing. Loved this book. Be prepared to be taken on a roller coaster ride so buckle up, buttercup. Enjoy the ride. It will be all worth it.

Nicole Edwards has outdone herself with Alibi. It’s the most emotional book I’ve ever read. It’s beautifully written. I read it in 10 hours having to put it down twice to process what I read. If I could give 10 stars I would.

I have no words and I don’t mean that in a good way

I am deeply saddened by this book and really quite upset. I never in a million years would I think that Nicole would kill off a main character like Kylie and yea okay I’m spoiling it for people but ya know I’m also warning people cause it was such a shock and very upsetting that she turned that way with the story I kept reading and praying that she would bring her back and it never happened. I love all of Nicole’s book I own just about all of her books paperbacks and kindle copies. All my books are signed I’ve even meet her in person once she’s a wonderful person. But the way she just destroyed Gage and Travis lives with the loss of Kylie I’m really not sure how I’d be able to pick up another one of her books. Their story is one of my all time favorite books. So I cried like a baby then just got upset. I know not all books have a happy ending but damn they had their happy ending just leave it at that. It makes me think that this is going in a direction I’m not going to want to read. Cause if she killed off a character like Kylie what wouldn’t stop her from killing off someone like Brantley or any other character.
So read this book if you want but I warn you now your not going to like it. Especially if your a big fan like I am or at least I was until now I’m not sure anymore. The rest of the story was great. But like I said I’m deeply saddened that she turned the book in that direction.

Just Sad

I don’t know the reasoning behind the storyline in the book or why it had to be that after everyone’s happily ever after but I’ve never been more heartbroken. I’m not even sure i want to read what comes next. Just sad.

This was book 5 in the "Brantley Walker Off The Books" series. This book reminded me why I love this author so much. This book was full of emotions for me. The team is going through some changes with the governor pulling the plug so what does Brantley do he reaches out to Sniper 1. The team is also still looking for crazy Juliet who did a lot of damage in the last book. In this book we get to see the different couples and all the things going on. Baz and JJ he is dealing with a crazy one night stand who says she is pregnant but hasn't offered any proof he is in love with JJ. With all the things she went through in the last book she is jumpy and doesn't want to admit her feelings for Baz. Trey and Magnus hooked up and now Trey can't stay away from him he doesn't want to be hurt again. I really want to know about Magnus. Brantley and Resse are going strong but they need to talk more about there past and what they want in the future. The real heartbreak came when Juliet stuck again and this time she hurt Travis Gage and the Walker family deeply I wanted to kill her. With everyone looking for her Juliet is running. I liked that Ms. Edwards included some of her characters from her other books like the mafia boss Max who Travis called to help deal with Juliet. I loved this book I cried I laughed I loved how the Walkers came together. This was my favorite book in this series. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

“I can’t lose you, too,” Travis whispered, pressing his lips to Gage’s. “I won’t survive it.”

Alibi, book 5 in the Brantley Walker: Off the Books series is filled with the same suspense and intrigue as the earlier books in the series, but this one is so emotionally charged and brings the entire Walker family to to front as they deal with heartbreak and loss. As always, the Walker family is present showing their support, care and love as some of their own suffer, but they are also searching for closure and a way to find their new normal.

This book is not the normal Nicole Edwards story that I am used to yet at the same time it encompasses all that I would expect. It gutted me but at the same time gave me hope. I highly recommend that you read this series from the beginning and if you have the time and haven’t yet checked out the Alluring Indulgence series, you definitely need to because you will have a better understanding of how the depth of love that flows through this family relationships impacts this story.

There is so much going on in this book from a case finally finding resolution, the task force being dissolved but merging with the Sniper 1 Security group and finding another way to continue their important work, and relationships that are continuing despite the obstacles thrown at them to new relationships that I can’t wait to see play out.

Nicole Edwards has outdone anything she has previously written. Without spoiling it, there is a roll coaster ride within the chapters that will have you smiling, crying and cheering by the end of the book.

This is one of the most well written stories I have read. I couldn't put it down and read it in one sitting. I can't wait to read more about the Walker clan and the friends that surround them.

Why? I wish I had never read this book. It has completely changed how I feel about the entire series (and related series). It was unnecessary - added NOTHING to the series. The resolution was very anticlimactic.

I simultaneously wanted to never put this book down and had a hard time continuing. The title says it all. Since this is NOT a standalone, you’ve already read the first four books of this series and know Travis is going off the rails. I don’t blame him. He is entitled to his rage. But I just knew there would be things happening in this story that would change everything for the Walkers and everyone else in Coyote Ridge.

As with any romantic suspense, it is extremely difficult to review this story without spoilers. But I absolutely will not spoil this story. That also means I will be extremely vague in this review. My main purpose is to tell you, the potential reader, that Nicole Edwards does in this book what she does best…hits you in the feels. Man, this story is a gut-punch.

From the very beginning I have loved Brantley. More than that, I adore Brantley and Reese together. Because they are the men behind the task force, we still get to see them a lot. But this story is very heavy on the Travis/Gage/Kylie relationship. Which makes sense since it’s the kidnapping of their oldest daughter that kicked off this task force in the first place, and the kidnapper is still out there and a major threat. There are a slew of emotions their marriage goes through in this story. The author leads them through, helping them to help each other find the light at the end of the tunnel.

Of course, we can’t forget JJ and Baz, or Trey and Magnus. Both couples do a lot of push/pull in this book. I find Trey and Magnus fun and cannot wait for Trey to get over himself and open himself up to more. Baz and JJ have a lot to work through, but it was wonderful to see JJ let herself to a bit. I’m hoping that she, or someone, helps him to push for a bit more in his situation because he is being strung along for no reason.

Listen, this book will break your heart. It will also build you back up.

This story is so deep, a little bit dark, a whole lot heart wrenching and it shows how differently people grieve and get through losing a very important person in their life.

I loved this book so much and the Walker family is very close to my heart so it was like I was grieving with them. Travis’s family is definitely my favorites throughout all of the books and they have gone through a lot in these Brantley Walker books. Let’s just say that I understood their reaction and decision and the villain finally got what was coming to them.

I love how the Walker family stood together and took care of each other and their loved ones. It is a united family full of love, support and encouragement to be who you are and not what you think they want you to be:)!

The book tucked on all my heartstrings and I ugly cried a couple of times, I laughed and loved with them too so I can definitely recommend this book.

This is an honest review on Alibi by Nicole Edwards. I was given the opportunity to review prior release date. Readers, do take the time and read the note by Nicole at intro.

Most anticipated book in the series of O.t.B ( bk #5)& crossover of Walkers,(bk # 10) revolving around Travis Walker. Alibi is a crossover between the series but a note of caution, best to read the books in order ( if you are new to Nicole’s work or established reader).

So no spoiling, here’s topics to think about.
* Suspense/Heartache/Denial/? Salvation
* Juliet Prince - needing to be hyper vigilant??
* “crazy bitch to snatch another kid”??
* heaven/hell, not enough-exquisite yet terrifying

* who exactly will need the Alibi??

Nail biting contents, has you on the edge. Blood pumping, invigorating, simply cannot get enough. The more into the read, you cannot wait to reach the conclusion but also don’t want to end. So climatic. So much is still happening. Still unanswered questions relating to Baz & J.J. Brantley & Reese, where are they in their relationship. We are also delving into new territory, oh, so much to look forward to.

Overall, - anticipation of what is expected
- mystery/intrigue
- emotions running wild
- heartache, but for whom. Which character will you become most attached too!

Nicole has been keeping us in suspense with Alibi. You will want to space out your reading time. Don’t rush and reach the end. You need to feel the characters and storyline. For lovers of not just the Walker’s but all characters of Nicole’s you won’t be disappointed. For new readers, welcome but do read in order to understand who the Walkers are and all characters created by Nicole.

I wish I could have given this book more stars as it was up in the top three novels I have ever read by Nicole Edwards, and I have read every one of them.
This is review is going to be tough because something happens in the book that will change everyone's lives forever. Now I see why Nicole was so distraught when she finished writing this book.
Juliet Prince is still on the loose and Brantley Reese and their team have been working non stop to find her as they get so close. Then she is gone again.
There are many side stories of the relationships going on with the team.
Brantley and Reese are still going strong and their relationship is growing more and more. I really love them as they are almost like an old married couple now! LOL!
JJ and Baz are trying their best to stay in the friend zone as Baz is still dealing with his one night stand mistake that just won't go away..
Trey, Brantley's brother, still get get enough of Magnus. He had a taste and now it has become a regular obsession. But Trey does not want to look like he is being too needy. That is what his ex-husband said. So no, he is going to resist the smoking hot dog trainer. Maybe.
You will also read about the ENTIRE Walker clan.
Good luck to all of you trying to put down this book once you start reading it.
Exceptional writing. Well done Nicole.

I have been trying for the last few hours to figure out how to write this review and explain to you how much I loved this book. I honestly can't find the right words to express how this book made me feel and how I didn't honestly think I was going to be able to finish it without losing a part of my heart. This was an amazing and heartbreaking book all at the same time. Alibi definitely deserves more than 5 stars and I wish I could give it 25 stars. I'm not completely sure I will ever recover from this one and I can't really write the review it deserves without giving anything away, so I will leave you with this, you will want to read this one and then you will wish you didn't because of all the emotions you will go through while reading. I absolutely loved this book and will definitely be rereading this one at some point in time. Thank you Nicole for writing such an amazing story and taking me on a ride that I will be thinking about for a long time.

This book is just extraordinary, it’s one of the best books, in my opinion, that Nicole has ever written.

It’s going to rip your heart out then slowly try to piece it back together again.

Nicole takes us to a place I never imagined I’d be going in this series. I don’t really get emotionally involved in stories, my brain knows it’s fiction therefore I can read just about anything without too extreme a response but this story I had to put down, process, then pick it back up again the next day. It’s that good!

I loved all the different threads of the story and the pace they all moved at. It’s an all round book in terms of getting enough storyline for each member of the task force to keep me happy. I’m really looking forward to the next instalment.

This is an absolute must read for any fan of Nicole Edwards. This series has been just brilliant and I can only see it getting better and better.

Ok so ive changed my rating of this book a couple of times now. While the writing and Brantleys part of this book were 5* as per normal Nicole books, im really really struggling with the way the story went. This is twice now i havent agreed with how ending. the 1st being Entrusted ( Club Destiny and you can read it here- https://www.goodreads.com/review/show... ) I felt it went off the OG storyline and characters too much and i wasnt happy with their HEA.

But back to Alibi.... and i basically feel the same. Im not sure what the point of reading 13 books ( 10 from Travis onwards but there was still the build up with Travis and Gage from the get go) to only completely change the HEA. Kylie was a much beloved, solid character in all the AI/ WOCR books so i just dont understand why Nicole chose to kill her off. Maim her. Have her in a coma for a long time before she woke up. Whatever. But to kill her off has just put a really bad taste in my mouth. Add to that, Katie and the kids had already been through so much. Ive been a supported of the Queen of Menage for a decade but ive lost alot of love right now and i hate that.

Alibi, the 5th installment in the Brantley Walker: Off the Books series and a crossover of The Walkers of Coyote Ridge is like nothing Nicole Edwards has written before. Nicole will pull you in from the very first chapter as she takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions so strong that you will want to put the book down and gather yourself before you can read another page….but you won’t be able to stay away for too long as each page draws you in deeper and deeper. I absolutely LOVED this book, through all the emotions you will have while reading Alibi, you will not be able to put this book down (other than for the tissues you will definitely need).

Travis Walker and his family will be changed forever, you will shed tears, laugh and smile at times, and of course there are enough smoking hot pages to give you everything and SO MUCH MORE of what you expect from a Nicole Edwards book. We have been leading up to this book throughout the last four installments (Please tell me you have read the last four installments of Brantley Walker: Off the Books…if not, they are a must read to truly understand all the emotions of all the various charters in Alibi) and boy did Nicole give us a book more than worth the build-up of something major happening to the Walker family as a whole. I not going to give away any spoilers here, you’ll just have to read Alibi to find out what happens…you will NOT be disappointed!!

We finally get to read about what happened between Trey and Magnus on that night…let me just say I can’t wait to read more on Trey and Magnus there is really something going on between those two that neither of them want to put too much thought into. JJ and Baz are trying to figure out where their relationship is going after Baz had a drunken night that may lead to something more than just a one night stand. Brantley and Reese are solid in their relationship….or are they…it seems Reese is still trying to understand some things about himself that we we’ll have to wait and see if it will add any hurdles in their relationship.

I can’t wait for the next installment of Off the Books, Nicole has given us two installments in sort successions and I’m spoiled now and don’t want to wait too long before we catch up with the Off the Books crew!! Thank you Nicole Edwards for given us something we have not read from you before, as hard as it was to read emotionally at times it was more than worth every tear shed and breath held.

I was given an ARC of Alibi for an honest review.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

Travis Walker has been battling dark urges since the day Juliet Prince kidnapped his six-year-old daughter four months ago. Although Kate was returned safely, the woman responsible vanished. When their attempts to find her keep coming up empty, Travis left his need for retribution consume him and it nearly cost him his relationship and his family. Thanks to the help of Gage and Kylie, Travis came back from the brink and passed the case back where it belonged with the Off the Books Task Force. What they don't know is that, despite their best efforts and repeated failure to find her, Juliet doesn't intend run forever. She's coming back to Coyote Ridge to settle the score once and for all. And this time, she intends to bring Travis to his knees by taking what means the most to him. When the unthinkable happens, Travis's need for vengeance is renewed and he will move heaven and earth to avenge his family.

Oh gosh, I feel like I have to warn you to buckle up and enjoy the ride that you just are going to be a mess over. I love the Walker's and was so thrilled we were getting this story. After all Travis is a man who wants revenge for his daughter being taken but I don't think I even gripped in my mind how far he was willing to go before he did what he was supposed to and let the Off The Books Task Force do their job. I could have lost it a few times and my heart hurt so bad for Travis and his family. He is a man consumed and about to lose everything he holds near and dear. However that stupid Juliet isn't done with him yet....Talk about a woman that I hate with every fiber of my being, that's her. Ugh I despised her and she is not a redeemable character at all. But hey I didn't want to give a spoiler away and ruin everything. I have to say that I was all over the place and super emotional and I dared anyone to speak to me while I was reading this book. This is a book that you won't be able to put down. There are twists and turns that will make you just weak in the knees and you will not be putting this book down when you start reading it. I would give this book a hundred stars if I could. This is one of the best books that Nicole Edwards has ever written.

Alibi blew me away
It’s taken me a day or so to words to paper and even as I write this review I’m wondering what to say that would do this emotional read justice. I first off want to say this review will be short and sweet because I believe you need to read Alibi with no preconceived ideas, you need to read it first hand.
This is the 5th book in the Brantley Walker: Off the Books Series and as you would expect there is plenty of suspense happening but this story is different because it’s brings all the Walker clan back together as well as many other familiar faces.
It’s an emotional read that tore me apart and put me back together again, it’s a story that will stay with me long after reading the final words and it certainly deserves every star of the five I’m giving it, if I could give it more I would.
I was drawn and captivated from the first chapter and there was no putting down until the final word had been read so please make sure you have time to finish what you start.
There is a lot happening in this book and I think you need to read either the previous books in this series or The Walkers before picking up this one.
This is Nicole Edwards at her best and Alibi is now riding high next to Travis as my all time favourite reads by this very talented author. This is a must read for any Walker family fan.

What just happened?

My mind has been spinning since the first part of this book. I didn't see it coming, and it had me reeling. This story line with the hunt for Juliet Prince has been very intriguing. I have been so anxious to see what would happen next and how Travis would react. I never could have imagined what Nicole Edwards just delivered. It was brilliantly written. and an extremely emotional journey for the Walker family. I love all of these characters in the Off the Books series. Brantley and Reese have an incredible connection and sizzling chemistry. I love, and hate, what is going on between Baz and JJ. I look forward to seeing what happens next for them, as well as Trey and Magnus. These two are a lot of fun. The love/hate thing they have is so much fun to read. Another fantastic story in this series.

Travis and all the Walkers are back in this newest installment of Nicole's Off The Books series.

The story starts out as you can imagine. Brantley and Reese with the help of their team are still trying to find the women who kidnapped Travis's daughter. Then all of a sudden Nicole throws in a curve ball you won't see coming.

Since the governor is disbanding the task force, Brantley is signing on with Sniper 1 Security to keep the team together. With their help they come together to tract down Juliet. The ending is not what you expect but will love.

Travis and the family band together to help them move forward after everything is done.

We also get to read about Trey and Magnus. Their story is a hot one. Both men have been hurt in the past and are gun shy to try again even though they are great together. I hope Nicole gives us more of this couple in stories to come.

JJ and Baz are trying to be friends after everything that happened in the last book. I am hoping they work things out as they also make a great couple.

Nicole will take you on a ride that will keep you reading until the end. Hopefully she won't make us wait for the next book.

This is the 5th book in the Off the Books series. We continue on with the task force searching for Juliet Prince, but now they have joined forces with Sniper 1 Security. We catch up on some old characters and delve into some new and old relationships. Brantley and Reese are still going strong. Tension is still happening with JJ and Baz, which a new situation that doesn't look good. We also see Trey and Magnus, boy do I want to know more about those two.
This book was not was what I was expecting. There was a lot of ugly crying going on. I couldn't believe what I was reading. I wanted to throw my Kindle out the window, but I had to know more.
This is an emotionally charged book, so look out.
Well done Nicole!

Nicole Edwards has outdone herself with Alibi, the fifth book in the Brantley Walker: Off the Books series. This is an emotional read with the suspense and intrigue found in the previous books of the series that will keep you turning the pages to see what happens next. As always I love how this author delivers multiple points of view while keeping the story lines on point and moving forward with all of the characters plus the Walker family. Resolution, growth, heartache, and love, so much love is felt throughout this entire story. Several relationships we have come to love continue to develop and grow and others are new with that spark of an intense connection. All of which are weaved throughout this story.

I cannot wait to see how Brantley and his team handle their transition, how each and every relationship between the couples and friends move forward, and which cases will be taken on next. This book is a must read for this series, but I do recommend reading the previous books first to get the full affect of these characters and their relationships.

I don't know about you but I've been holding my breath waiting for Alibi, the fifth book in the 'Off the Books' series and it didn't disappoint!

I love that this series has an update on the lives and loves of the main characters whilst introducing new characters and mysteries to solve.

However Alibi is on a whole other level. I don't want to spoil your reading experience so I'll leave it there and encourage you to read it for yourself, you won't be sorry.

As always, the words jump off the page and the pages turn very easily as you, oh so easily, become immersed in the story so artfully created by the amazing Nicole Edwards.

I will once again have to dig deep for the patience needed to wait for whatever she comes up with next. However, she has set the bar so high with Alibi I'm already squealing inside.

Nicole Edwards, I don’t know how she did it but she made this book her best. She completely outdid herself with this one. Of course beautifully written like all of her books but this one tore my emotions to shreds, then brought me back. I was so happy about a crossover book, touching base with all the amazing characters including Mr. Travis Walker, my secret crush. Brantley Walker is put to the test with this one. His relationship with Reese is still on track and going strong. JJ and Baz are still dancing around each other. So many lovable characters in this book and each couple is touched upon. Emotionally this book will take you so far in it’ll be hard to get out. The characters will find out what they are made of and what it takes to go on. With the love of family and friends life continues, and they find the strength they need to be happy and live life. This is a must read a book. If you are not familiar with Nicole Edwards I can not express enough that you are missing out on some of the best series written.

Nicole Edwards positively shines in this story. She takes her readers on a journey that is not for the faint of heart but provides an ending to a nightmare that might finally come to an end. The Walker family pulls closer together as they try to find the one person who try to tear them apart. This series was masterfully crafted to keep you guessing until the end and is an emotional ride you will never forget. With each word of the book my heart was invested and that is the sign of a truly talented author.

Absolutely fantastic. OMG. This book grabbed me and made sure that I had to finish it in one sitting. It moves along at a pace that works perfectly for the story being not too fast nor too slow. The characters, well if you dont already love them, you will and you cant get enough of them. You feel as though you know personally and that you are there with them, going through what they are. The story will grab you, keeping you reading till the end. This book . no doubt about it, needs to be read. You will not be sorry that you did.

This book is unlike any I have ever read. I'll start by saying that I wish Goodreads would allow me to give a 4.5 rating because the book is truly a masterpiece by Nicole Edwards. Her writing style, character development and the ability to help you feel every emotion is a true gift. And boy did I feel every emotion while reading this one : heartache, anger, love, frustration, excitement, hope.

I have been reading the Walker series since book one was released and honestly feel so attached to all the characters in the series. After I finished this one, I didn't feel settled with the events that took place. I almost wish it was just a Brantley series or just a Walker series book because I don't feel like I got enough of either story line. I really hope this isn't the end of hearing about Travis, because he by far is one of my favorite Walker brothers.

Give yourself plenty of time to start reading because once you start, you may not be able to put it down!

5 Star Review Alibi (Brantley Walker: Off The Books #5) by Nicole Edwards

This review is the briefest I have ever written for a book by Ms.Edwards. Suffice to say that she has written a book that will leave you with your mouth hanging open, shaking your head and wondering what you just read.

I will say that there is an awful lot going on in Alibi as the entire Walker clan come together as well as a number of other familiar faces.

This is a book that you need to read and experience for yourself. Nicole Edwards has certainly made a mark on my soul with Alibi.
