Food Truck Warriors #4

Full Speed Ahead

Rate this book

Lennox’s favorite escape is the Food Truck Warriors . . .until it needs his protection.

Ash isn’t running from his past—he’s already left it way behind. He’s built a business from scratch, using all the lessons that his father taught him, and every day at his food truck is a challenge he was born to tackle.

But when a stalker appears, hinting that he knows the secrets Ash has tried so hard to bury, he needs more help than his food truck friends can provide. He needs a professional.

Lennox is a mystery. He’s been coming around the Food Truck Warriors for months now, and nobody knows if that’s even his real name. But Ash is fascinated by the man, and the feeling seems to be mutual.

When the threat to Ash becomes a little too real, Lennox intervenes, and finally, the electricity between them transforms into something very much like love. But now their safety—and their hearts—are on the line.

As ever, I beta read this book for Beth, but most of my comments ran along the lines of I love this, why are they being idiots, oh it's about time and thank gawd for that!

This is definitely my favourite book in what has been a truly wonderful series from Beth.

It's also one of the hottest, oh my lordy once these two get together, it's smoking. It just takes them a wee while because before that, they have to have a whole mess of feelings first!

There is a very clever tension brought to the narrative because of something in Ash's past which no-one is privy to - except for Lennox - and then things change.

Not only do Tony's worst enemies, the guys from the Salad Truck who stole his dressing recipe, get permission to join the Truck Warriors lot, but weird things start happening. There's vandalism, other trucks apart from Ash's are graffitied and the past he's tried to walk away from, comes rushing back.

There are also additional hurdles to climb because Lennox has been badly hurt before, he's also spent time in the Military hiding who he was and how important someone was to him, and then he became an afterthought.

My heart hurt so bad for him, I wanted to wrap him up in cotton wool, although he's a tough as nails security nut really, quite capable of looking after himself, but he's so vulnerable. And Ash sees that and he nurtures it and they're glorious together.

Then the proverbial hits the fan. I won't go into the nitty gritty, let's just say I was shouting at Ash and telling him not to do what he does. But, it's also absolutely indicative of his character for the way he acts.

He lives his life believing the best of people and puts his trust where he thinks its deserved, even when the reader can see something isn't quite right.

Ultimately though, the narrative flows beautifully throughout the book and into the final chapters and it has a very satisfying conclusion. I'm hoping there will be spin-offs as there are a number of characters, one in particular from this book that I'm not revealing, who I NEED to find their happy endings.

So keeping my fingers crossed for those. I'm also hoping there may be more food related releases from Beth to come as she has such a real talent of incorporating that element into her books without ever making it feel like the only hook the stories have.

Time to say bye for now to LA's finest set of food providers and see what comes next!

FULL SPEED AHEAD by Beth Bolden
(possible mild spoilers)
This one was a total miss and a total mess for me.
To be honest, my gut told me to stop at 50%.
I pushed through because I'd committed myself to a review, but, I'm sorry, by 88% I was screaming for this book to just... END ALREADY! By this time, I couldn't care less about HEAs or if they ever catch the crook (who somehow moved at the speed of light because he was on drugs (??)
(what kind of employer would TELL his staff to use drugs anyway ... In a restaurant kitchen no less?)

No complaints about the writing. This was good, as Beth's writing always is (except for some inconsistency in a few scenes and some silly mistakes and incorrectly used words, which I hope the proofreader would have picked up).
My issue was with the plot, the surprising LACK of chemistry between the two mcs. The romance seemed to take a back seat to the mystery and suspense in the story... which turned out to be anti-climactic and, I think, I little ridiculous. The drugs, the supposed reason for the malice towards Ash?
The characters were likeable enough (though I really wish we'd have been told their ages... especially Lennox), as always the environment building was good, as we've all come to love this "family" of food truck guys... but I was just never quite convinced of the attraction between Lennox & Ash apart from being told and a few forced bedroom scenes (which I mostly skimmed... Something I've never done before).
I was also quite annoyed at the repeated "guilt"... first Ash, then Lennox, then back to Ash...
Aaand constantly throwing Marcus into the mix. Always and consistently bringing up comparisons between Marcus & Ash. Allll the time! Till my tummy ached. 😣
And, yes. I agree with another reviewer... Ash's actions in the penultimate chapter were unbelievably stupid! (resulting in... Yep! More guilt)

Nope, for the most part, this book doesn't come close to the charm and sweetness of "Hit the Brakes", which I absolutely loved.
I can't recommend.
Two stars for a nice cover.
One star for effort.
° I requested an advance copy through
Neon Rainbow arc reviews, and I have reviewed this book voluntarily.

Beth, great job! I’ve always enjoyed your books, and this is no exemption! The Food Truck Warriors have always left me hungry, if nothing else.
I had worried about Lennox, I have to admit. It turns out that he was a definite ally! He and Ash are great together. The whole community is great together.
The times when communities cross over are always best. This is one of those times!

I loved Full Speed Ahead. The Food Truck Warriors series is becoming one of my favourite series. I am totally biased, I love cooking/chef books as I used to cook but even if I knew nothing but the basics, I’d find these stories entertaining and interesting. I loved Lennox and Ash together. I liked that there wasn’t a whole lot of angst, but that there was a little mystery in the story. They were super hot, sexy but also honest and real and I loved all of it. The pace was so great. I just kept on wanting to read more. I also liked that again, the other MCs from previous books make it back in the next story so that we get a little update on them too. I definitely recommend this book.

This is an enjoyable book and a great addition to this series. There is something for everyone to enjoy within the pages of this book from mystery, suspense, anticipation, and romance. I didn’t want to put the book down; I was eager to find out who the troublemaker was.

I thought for sure I was going to love this one after reading the premise but it just felt short. I did not feel the connection between the MCs and the mystery took too much space. I like these books because they are all about the MCs and their development but this one just wasn't.

I like it! It has those elements of a character driven book that I like, with an added element of "who dun it" mystery. It was incredibly entertaining, and so far has been my favorite in the series.

Full Speed Ahead gives us the story for Ash and Lennox, who were hinted as a possible couple in the previous book.
I'd say, at least the first half, is a slow burn as Lennox run from his attraction to Ash having had a secret relationship that ended badly and is not used to being open about himself. Ash is determined though and gives Lennox the time he needs to come around to more happening between them, especially after the sweet kiss they share behind the food truck. They are forced to spend at least a little time together as someone is leaving threats and damaging property at the food truck lot, all pointing towards Ash being the target. This just makes Lennox work harder for it as his protective instincts come on stronger for the man he is quickly coming to care for.
Their relationship development, once it starts, is a mix of hot and sweet. Both have people in their past that have hurt them, family or exes, but together they work to help each other put them completely in the past. They are together more as things heat up, between them and with the unknown assailant stepping up their campaign against Ash. It gets dangerous towards the end, as the culprit is revealed but our MC's get their much deserved HEA.
The Food Truck Warriors have become a real found family with some entertaining characters and strong friendships, all proving that they are there for each other through the tough times as well as the fun ones, showcased perfectly at the end of the story.
Another great story in the series. It took me a moment to really get into the story but I really enjoyed it overall and liked the relationship that built between Lennox and Ash.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

Beth Bolden has created a vivid and colourful world with her Food Truck Warrior Series and book 4, Full Speed Ahead, adds a whole new element of suspense and intrigue to the fascinating collection. This book can certainly be read on its own but when read as part of the series, you certainly do gain deeper insight into the characters, events and relationships of the Food Truck collective.

Lennox is a stoic man and one who’s difficult to get to know. Ash is intrigued by the closed-off man and determined to crack through his veneer to see what’s inside. Readers who love a bit of the “grumpy one falls for the sunshine one” trope will enjoy this interesting dynamic!

Something strange is going on at the Food Truck Warriors lot and Lennox’s security company is investigating. When it appears to be focussed on Ash, Lennox pours every moment into unravelling the mystery so he can keep the man safe. Lennox is drawn to the always smiling man, who is bursting through all of Lennox’s defenses like soap bubbles.

The mysterious plot in this story kept me guessing throughout the entire book; and along with the delightful slow-burn romance, I found myself swooning and gasping throughout each chapter. Following the exciting developments and observing these sweet men fall slowly in love is exactly why I read this genre. The passionate characters and lively dialogue add to the easy-to-read feel.

I hope Beth Bolden plans to write a few more books in the Food Truck Warrior Series as there are still characters we meet in Full Speed Ahead who don’t have their stories told yet. I have enjoyed every one of these books so far.

Food Truck Mystery and Romance!
Enjoyed this latest edition to the series! This one is an opposite's attract with Ash our Adorable Salad Truck guy and Lennox our big ex Military guy who works in Security. Lennox just cannot seem to stop getting Salads for lunch!!! Go Figure? Ash is happy and more open and Lennox is more closed off and hesitant due to a previously bad relationship experience. These two have a sweet connection with some push and pull due to circumstances and insecurities. We get both of their POV so we can feel the emotions they are each going through as the relationship comes together. It is so sweet with a bit of a build to the steamy! It was also wonderful to have the appearance the previous characters. As always there is such a feeling of friendship and community! This a romance story for Ash and Lennox but I really enjoyed that there was some mystery and suspense along side that. I do not want to give any of that away! I received an ARC of this book and I recommend for those who enjoy a story with a real comradery and supportiveness among all of the cast of characters with mystery and drama to keep you totally engaged!!

Completely just me and my inability to connect with Lennox, but I didn't love, love it as much as I wanted to.
Lennox is closed off, repressed, sad and kinda lonely. For those reasons he works with Ash who is an utter sweetheart but it took me a long time to warm up to him.
I also had to roll my eyes at the utter stupidity of Ash's actions late on. The drama there felt a little forced.
There's this feeling of potential danger kinda lurking and that affected the romance for me. Still a good read and I hope there's more from this series. I know who I want to be next

Another fantastic book from the Food Truck Warriors series.
I confess that Lennox was never a character that caught my attention but he caught Ash's attention from the start
This was the book with a little mystery since it has a threat to Ash that Lennox will have to solve.
Along with the attraction and a relationship, the book is a surprise to the end
All the characters in the other books appear, especially Tony, always unpredictable

This is my favorite of the series. I liked Ash with his general sunshine attitude and Lennox with his moodier one that he actually hid his happiness behind.

There was a bit of a mystery (and tbh a moment late in the book where Ash suddenly because tstl lol) which always adds fun to a romance for me.

I will definitely read a book featuring Ren.

Unlikely lovers

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series, however, this story not as much as the previous books. Like some of the previous reviewers have said, I found it hard to believe in the MCs as lovers. There just wasn't a connection there, as far as I was concerned. I also didn't really understand Ash's motives, the whole mystery thing left me scratching my head somewhat 🤔 The reasoning behind it didn't make sense, not to me anyhoo.

I thought the premise was good, but somehow it didn't pan out as believable. I loved it when all the guys from the previous books came together, and how they looked out for one another. When they were on page with Ash and Lennox, they seemed to breathe life into the story. I've read the majority of Beth Bolden's books, and enjoyed them. This one just didn't hit the mark, still, it won't put me off reading her future work, especially in this series. 3.5 ⭐s

I received an ARC of this book, which in no way influenced my opinion.

Wow Book 4 of this series packs a punch with an intriguing twist and a mini mystery.

Lennox and Ash, months of flirting to friends to lovers to having a HEA.

I really enjoyed this read but this should be read as part of the series, not as a stand alone.

I've enjoyed the Food Truck series, and while this was not my favourite, was still a good read and an enjoyable romance. Ash was a very sweet character, and one who was very easy to root for. Lennox had some more darkness in his backstory, but he too by the time of the story, was a generally good guy. The romance was very low angst; they had been flirting around for a while, and once they started a relationship, there were few 'bleak moments' between them. Instead, the conflict came from the suspense part of the plot, as they sought to discover who was attacking Ash.
I appreciated a lot that Ash's fears of Lennox being overprotective of him were addressed and that Lennox sought to fight against such instincts.

There were a few things that didn't work as well for me.
Firstly, there were times at the start where I was confused over the plot, as it was heavily linked into events of the previous book in the series, and would sometimes leap in halfway a conversation that had been held in the book before, but lacked context in this book. I had read the previous book only a few weeks ago, but still couldn't always remember the scenes to the kind of detail required for it to run smoothly.
Secondly, I found the unquestioning valorisation of the military a little off, but I'm sure that this is a ymmv aspect!
Lastly, there was a plot point that irritated me because it seemedso ridiculous!

This was mostly a fun read, and I enjoyed the majority of the plot, but I wouldn't read again.

I wasn't expecting this food truck romance to have such a captivating suspense plotline, but it was thrilling to see how Lennox, Ash, and the rest of the FTW dealt with the threat.

Though Lennox's military background made him the perfect man to investigate the vandalism at the lot, his time served also made him cautious and reserved about showing affection publicly. It honestly took me a long time to figure him out, because he alternated between utter confidence in his ability to do his job and awkward shyness when he approached any social situation. Combine that with Ash's open friendliness and I just couldn't see the two of them together at all. I should have known that only someone like Ash, someone kind and determined and loyal, could bring a guy like Lennox out of his shell. It was so sweet to watch the two of them together, especially in the beginning when Lennox was unsure about dating a man openly. Ash truly brought out the best in Lennox, and it was a joy to see the two of them fall head over heels for each other. Though Ash undeniably needed help to protect himself from whoever was targeting him, I loved how passionate he was about maintaining as much independence as possible. Ash wasn't the kind of man to let anything get in the way of his success, and it was that determination that made me so confident that he and Lennox would figure out who was behind the threats before things got too serious. Looking back, there were tiny hints about who the stalker was all along, but I was completely shocked when I found out the truth and even more terrified when they made a move to destroy everything Ash had worked so hard for. Lennox managed to save the day, as I knew he would, but my heart didn't stop pounding for a long time.

Full Speed Ahead: A Bodyguard Gay Romance (Food Truck Warriors Book 4) by Beth Bolden is a wonderful book if you like your love stories with found friends and some suspense. Ash owns a food truck at the Food Truck Warriors lot that serves amazing kinds of salads. He left his past behind and has some secrets. Life is going well for him and he has a secret crush on Lennox who comes to his truck for lunch several times a week. Lennox is a former SEAL whose career ended suddenly. All he wants to do is provide protection to his friends and colleagues so when that happened he was at a loss of what to do. He then got the idea to start a security company with a friend and they ended up providing security for the food trucks. He is attracted to Ash but his last boyfriend left him so he doesn’t act on it because he is afraid that Ash will leave him too. After 6 months they do go on a date and that starts their relationship. But Ash’s secrets come back to haunt him and someone starts stalking him. This doesn’t sit well with Lennox because of his need to protect those he loves. He does all he can but there are few leads and the stalker starts getting more and more aggressive. All of the food truck owners also try to help both with protection and friendship for Ash and Lennox. This all comes to an explosive ending. This book was amazing and kept me on the edge of my seat as I was trying to figure out who the stalker was and why he was doing it. Ash and Lennox were wonderful characters and their actions were very realistic as their love story developed slowly and the love scenes were hot! The Food Truck Warriors have been introduced in previous books so you will recognize them and see what they are doing now. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.

I love this series! Every new book is better than the last! Lennox and Ash are such dynamic characters that we really have not learned a lot about in the previous books. After the first impression Lennox made in On A Roll, I really was not sure how his personality was going to come across but I am so glad we got to see behind the stoic mask he presents to the world. After everything he has been through, it was sweet to see him find a true partner in Ash. Though Ash has been in all the previous books as he is an original member of the Food Truck Warriors lot, there hasn't been a lot revealed about his past or how he came to run a successful food truck by himself at a young age. I was not expecting Ash's backstory to be what it was and man, is it a doozy. Ash's positivity and sunny personality do not seem possible with all that his family has put him through. One trait both Ash and Lennox had in common was their shared past experiences with toxic people who tried to mold them into someone they didn't want to be. While their reactions to those people were different, in the end they both were able to create their own happiness for themselves as well as creating it for each other. As always with Beth Bolden, the writing and storyline are fantastic. The suspense storyline in Full Speed Ahead was different from the others in this series but was so good! I hope we have not seen the last of the Food Truck Warriors. I would love to see Ren, Seth, and Ross get their own HEA in the future as well as check in with our favorite couples! Overall, Full Speed Ahead was a fantastic addition to this series and I can't wait to see what else Beth Bolden has for us next! I received an ARC for an honest and fair review.

I really liked Ash and Lennox and building of their relationship. I enjoyed that while there was immediate chemistry, there were some minor misunderstandings and some months of just getting to know one another, not immediately falling into bed. Lennox definitely had some concerns based on his past relationship to work through, and I felt like he had time to do it, time to get to know Ash and do more than simply desire him physically. I liked the silly touches like Lennox converting to salad to be able to spend time with Ash, the bets about Lennox’s name, and the number of empanadas Lennox managed to eat.

I was a little more iffy on the handling of the mystery. On the one hand, it was sort of refreshing (if annoying, lol) that despite Lennox wanting so badly to solve the mystery for Ash, he kept running into dead ends and dried up leads. But really, unless it was going to be a total dark horse, there were only two likely suspects—and it was never clear to me why Lennox focussed on only one of them. It seemed unfortunately slipshod when he had effectively equal reason to suspect (or not suspect) both of them.

Ash’s decision to trust the text message was infuriating. I guess he truly *wanted* to believe, and that can mess with logic, but it was so painfully poorly thought out in the midst of the danger. (Honestly, I think I would have rather that he got grabbed while doing something dumb like getting coffee or opening the door for what he thought was an Amazon delivery or something.)

But I was glad the situation was finally resolved, and I loved seeing the Food Truck Warriors rally around one another. Seeing this supportive group of friends help one another and find their HEAs is a solid part of why I’m reading this series.

DNF 21%

I read murder, torture, monsters, SA and don't require an TW, but this book found my weak spot. lol

Lennox is dealing with integrating back into civilian life and being out of the closet (sort of). He is very self-contained and private. So what does Ash do, right after Lennox goes out on a limb and admits he isn't comfortable with the situation, but walk right into his personal space and kiss him. As one would assume Lennox makes a run for it and doesn't come back around for several weeks.

Now I have a very strong personal space and I felt myself recoil when reading this scene, and then get seriously pissed off when Ash has the audacity to be annoyed Lennox disappears! Not only is Ash personally offended Lennox didn't love his kiss- that he never asked for and gave all kinds of signs he didn't want, but Lennox's friend tells Lennox he didn't think Ash would take it too well if Lennox told him he didn't want a relationship for a "bullshit" reason.

*takes a calming breath* Let me be very clear in my opinion. Lennox does not owe Ash a goddamn thing. Not an explanation, not a conversation, not a return of the kiss. Now Lennox is being guilted into talking with Ash and being honest about deeply personal demons he's wrestling with. This on top of the fact he has repeatedly said he does not want a relationship with Ash. I don't care if it's a good reason or not, or if it's "best" for him or not. Lennox has stated multiple times he doesn't want a relationship and f*cking no one in this story is respecting that.

I understand this is a me thing and I'm reacting strongly, but I'm not wrong about any of my points.

4.5 Stars - This was my favorite Food Truck Warriors book. I’ve been so curious about Lennox’s story, and was super excited when I saw he was a main character in this book. Going in, I was unsure about the suspense element, but I think it was really well done. The book definitely isn’t hot and heavy like the others in the series. We do get a couple fairly steamy scenes, and while I wish we had gotten more, it makes sense in the overall plot of the book. It was great seeing Lennox slowly open up to Ash. He’s so fiercely protective and loyal. It was fun watching him create his new team and family. Several reviews have said it was really hard to picture Lennox and Ash together. While I agree that romance takes the back seat in this book, I think Lennox and Ash work well together as a couple. They just started dating, after Lennox fought his feelings for so long, and there’s all kinds of drama happening. You can see they have deep feelings for each other, we just don't get a lot of physical manifestations of that love. Some of the drama was a little over the top and unbelievable. And there was SOOOOO much guilt. But no one ever seemed to be upset with anyone other than themselves, which irked me a bit. Overall, I really enjoyed this book, but if you’re expecting a “romance” you’ll probably be disappointed.

Buckle up and get ready for a roller coaster of a ride with the fourth installment of Food Truck Warriors. This can be read as a standalone, however many characters from the previous books in the series make appearances as well as some of the authors other books.Be prepared for a more angst ridden and mystery fir the storyline than in previous books in the series.
Lennox is the ultimate mystery man. No one knows much about him, especially if Lennox is his first or last name. When an act of vandalism has the food truck lot hiring this former Navy Seal’s security firm to keep them safe. Ghosts of his past haunt him and the walls he’s built around his heart are skyscraper tall.
Ash is the ‘salad truck’ guy. He’s generous and everyone’s friend. His past is so far behind him but wen the vandal targets him and threatens to expose it he has to lean on Lennox to come to terms with who his father is and why he’s being targeted.
Together these two take you on a crazy adventure and try to overcome their pasts.
As always the characters are well developed and believable. The worldMs. Bolden has created will have you wanting to read the next story and the next. Everyone in her created world needs a happy ever after, even the minor characters.
I’m sitting on the edge of my seat to see which characters story will be told next.

This book is part of one of my favorite series, and it’s a worthy addition to it. I loved seeing the characters from previous books, and the community built around the food lot is beautifully supportive and caring— a true family. Awesome characters, an interesting plot (a stalker, a mystery, a slowly building sense of danger)— there’s a lot to like about this story. My only real issue with the book, and I’m keeping this vague because spoilers are no one’s friend, is that one of the characters makes a really, really dumb decision. One that’s out of character, and lets down the trust he’s built with his partner, not to mention his own safety and common sense. This was super frustrating, and I think it was because on every other level this book just works beautifully. The protagonists are nuanced and sympathetic. Ash is kind and cheerful and has a backbone of steel: he’s stronger than anyone gives him credit for. Lennox too is more than just a stoic, ex-military type— he has depths and vulnerabilities and unexpected strengths. Their chemistry is epic, and they communicate well together too. Overall, my angst at one plot point aside, this is a really satisfying read, and well worth checking out.

Full Speed Ahead is the fourth book in the Food Truck Warriors series by Beth Bolden. It's an enjoyable addition to this fun series.

That said, something kept me from fully loving this book. I just don't know what it is.

There's plenty of sweetness between Lennox and Ash, including the mutual attraction and cluelessness involved. Lennox's attraction to Ash has had him coming to buy salads for months. But when Ash needs his help, the two finally get a chance to be together.

This is a story with plenty of vandalism, danger, and suspense. Lennox is trying to protect Ash from all that threatens him, but he certainly can't be there all the time.

I adore the way the two finally come together. They both have some issues to deal with before they can be together, but damn, they are fabulous together.

The writing is great, with a storyline that keeps the reader intrigued throughout. Both men are wonderfully developed and easy to fall in love with. I love the way the tension is developed and carried out.

Full Speed Ahead is a good addition to this Beth Bolden series. There's plenty to enjoy in this romance. I'm honestly not sure why I didn't love this book as much as the others in the series. Maybe it was my mood. It's a great addition to the series, but I just didn't find this one all consuming.

Full Speed Ahead has more of a suspense vibe than the other books in the series, what with Lennox being hired as security and needing to figure out who is vandalizing the Food Truck Warriors lot - and stalking Ash? Dun dun dunnnnnn!

I was intrigued by Lennox in previous books as he sort of lurks around the lot. It was clear (to me, as a reader, anyway) that he's sort of drifting on the edges, an outsider looking in and wanting what the Food Truck Warriors have - found family and a place to belong. The relationship between Lennox and Ash sometimes feels like it takes a bit of a back seat to the suspense plot, but that suspense plot is part of what drives them together so I'll take it. I LOVE how Lennox knows to support Ash in the way Ash wants, even if it's not what Lennox thinks is best.

This is the fourth book in the Food Truck Warriors series, and can be read as a standalone. That being said, there are some spoilers for the earlier books in the series, and you'll really get the full impact by reading the series in order.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are unbiased and my own.

Hopefully this isn’t the last we’ll see of the Food Truck Warrior family, but it was a nice wrap up of the major players (although I really hope that Ren finds his HEA someday). This story focuses on Ash and Lennox, who has been hanging around at Ash’s salad truck for months without actually making a move. He has ghosts from his past to conquer (discharged from the Seals by injury and a selfish ex that messed with his head), but Ash is worth it. When it seems as if there is a stalker at the food truck lot and Ash is the intended target, Lennox steps up his security and his personal stake in protecting Ash. Both men are cautious, but it’s nice to see them slowly let their guards down and go after something that might just lead to a HEA. If the stalker doesn’t get to Ash first. But, the trucks at the lot are not just separate entities, they have become family who would do anything to protect one of their own. Ash may not like the way it happens, but maybe branching out from salads will be something he tries in the future. Whatever that future looks like though it is sure to have Lennox by his side all the way, and the rest of their found family surrounding him with their support ❤️

Yes! We finally get to learn a little more about the mysterious and broody Lennox! We also have the ongoing story of the vandalism at the food truck lot and the mystery only deepens as it appears the vandal is targeting Ash, but why? Not even Ash can figure it out and that is getting under Lennox’s skin. Ash has quickly become important to him, even though he figured he would never be able to feel those kinds of emotions again. Lennox has been broken in the past but he is slowly realizing that he deserves more. He has struggled to fit back in to civilian life after his time in the Navy but he is proud of his security company. Ash has tried to escape his past and distance himself from all of it but it looks like he hasn’t been as successful as he thought. I loved this story! Ash and Lennox are perfect! They both fall hard and fast and quickly decide to take a chance. They are so sweet and the chemistry is definitely hot between these two. Highly recommend it! You will probably want to read the other books first but it isn’t 100% necessary.

3.5 stars. A good start to the book and the 4th for the series.
I loved the connection between Lennox and Ash at the start as they become friends. Little hints of teasing and flirts as they get to know each other. A bit of trouble at the food truck group and security is ramped up. Lennox was still adjusting from military baggage even after years and was shy to dating.
As the story progresses it focuses on the trouble for Ash and it kinda lost me a bit.
All the guys in the food block are featured from previous books with dual povs for Ash and Lennox. Hot sexy scenes included with an okay ending I thought, I wont spoil it for other readers for the finish. If you love a big romance book with a bit of mystery this one is for you.
Lennox ran a security company with his freind, Seth both being ex-militiary helping clients. He had a slight crush on Ash.
Ash owned a food truck serving food loving a game of trying to learn more about a customer named Lennox. Hiding and keeping a secret of who he was from everyone around.
