Seems like Geo has gotten him self into a bit of trouble trying to juggling two strong willed women. Nora isn’t inclined to help him out until her god daughter Ari asks her to get involved. This one took a bit of twists and turns and just when you think things are solved another bit a drama pops up – this time with someone near and dear to Nora. I think my favorite is Gilly and her dating disasters done with good natured humor. A very dramatic ending to a great mystery.

With a lot of laughs and a little murder, Nora, Gilly and Pippa are back! I actually laughed harder with this 5th book than with the others. Gilly wants Nora to use her scenting powers to help her choose the right man since she always seem to pick the wrong ones. So to help her pal, Nora said she and her detective boyfriend, Ezra agree to go on a bowling date with Gilly and Perry a very tall handsome man who seems to really be into Gilly and Nora got nothing bad with her sentability! But holding my sides, you will not stop laughing when you read what happens next! No spoiler here! Her second date is with the handsome doctor, Scott who is also into Gilly! Nora and Ezra once again agreed to go with them and this time it is on a dinner cruise. Once again you will rock with laughter when things go crazy with Gilly seeing her ex husband, the philandering Gio on the ship with their children with a major announcement about marrying Lauren an heiress, He was going to tell his kids when Gio decided to confront him for not discussing what he was going to do beforehand since they agreed not to have the children meet a significant other yet. Craziness happens as Gilly sees Gio's ex-girlfriend on the ship as well as his present fiance. This couldn't be good! All this happening when Gilly was on her date with Scott. And then there's a murder and Gio is a major suspect. But, although Nora would be happy to see Gio go to jail, Ari, her goddaughter and daughter of Gilly and Gio begs Nora to investigate because she is sure her father is innocent. Not what all the evidence says however, Nora decides to investigate. So we are taken on a roller coaster ride again while Nora and friends decide to question potential witnesses/suspects! Just when you get to the end, the author throws us a curve and we are hit with a couple of surprises! I LOVED this 5th book! I recommend the entire series, you won't be disappointed! I received an ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

Nora and Gilly are back and hilarity, and murder unfortunately, ensue. When Gilly asks Nora and Ezra to double-date with her and Scott, they had no idea there would be a murder. Or that Gilly's ex, Gio, would be the prime suspect. After the way he treated her bestie, Nora is happy to stay out of the investigation and let Gio stay in prison. That is, until Ari, Gilly's daughter, asks her to investigate and save her dad. Nora can't say no, so she puts her nose/smell-o-vision to work trying to find the true culprit. Although she still secretly hopes it's Gio.

I love Nora (and her nose), Ezra, Gilly, Pippa and all the characters in this series. They're fun and interesting and feel like family. The mysteries are intriguing with plenty of possible suspects and red herrings that keep me guessing. I swear this series just gets better and better. I'm eagerly awaiting the next book.

Nora & the gang

Unmatchable first dates.

When Nora's friend finally decides to date long after her divorce she doesn't just go for one but two with different guys in the same week. Those dates will be unforgettable.

Dates, murder, old and new guys, kids, and surprises galore. Never a dull moment when Nora's nose goes to work. Their tight group works together to figure out who is guilty and even why. I love Nora and Ezra's relationship. It is sweet with steamy banter. Why wouldn't her friends want the same? This isn't an easy case and more than one agency works to solve it. There is danger for more than the murder victim. Will there be more victims?

It's another good read from the author that stands alone, however, the series is a winner and I recommend both this book and the series.

The circle of friends who know of Nora's gift was growing and she was clearly the trusted alternative for Ari when her father became the number one suspect in a murder. The man was full of flaws and had been neither a good father nor a good husband, but despite having no desire to help, Nora felt compelled to use her gift. The answers began to come in, albeit at a snail's pace and not entirely clear. I like Nora's inquisitive mind that takes nothing for granted. Gilly distracted and amused me with her adventures in the ‘dating market’ but Nora was not left behind with her comments about how she dealt with her ailments to maintain her status quo. With so many things happening to her, thank goodness there was a doctor close to her friend. An interesting, funny story, with mystery, some violence, romance, passion and a list of suspects that made me think and follow clues.

I have had some disastrous dates, usually so called friends trying their hands fabulously unsuccessfully at matchmaking. while law enforcement was involved, more than once, I do not ever recall needing the fire department - poor Gilly

Nora might get visions for her scent-ability, but there is rarely an easy was to interrupt a date to give your bestie the latest awful news about her ex. Gio manages to reach new lows all on his own

Ezra seems a steamy as attentive partner to Nora, and appears to be wise enough to give Nora and her friends the space and support they need to nurture their long standing family close relationships

Throw in some politicians and other bigwigs, another ex or two, various offspring and paramours- this drama and laughter packed story is a great read that keeps you reading to the end

Nora's On the Case . . .

Nora Black is reluctantly dealing with another murder mystery when her best friend Gilly Martin’s horrible ex-husband, Gio, becomes the primary suspect in a murder. Nora wouldn’t bother with him normally, gladly leaving him stay in jail, but her godchild Ari asks Nora to get involved to save her father and she can’t refuse.

Putting Nora's nose to work, she and her friends try to figure out who is the guilty party is and why the victim was murdered. With so much going on and all the twists and turns, can they track down the killer before someone else is killed?

This is another wonderful cozy mystery by this author! Great characters we all know and love, along with an intriguing mystery to tackle, will keep the reader avidly following along trying to figure it out. Grab your copy and join the hunt for the murderer!

Nora Black - a midlife woman who owns a beauty and scent shop - died for a few minutes a couple of years ago and woke up with scents-ability.
If she smells a scent that is important to someone, she finds herself experiencing the memory associated with the scent and sometimes sees the person.
This is book 5 in the fun PWF series where Nora, dating handsome cop Ezra, solves crimes including murders. You might say she has a nose for it.
Along with her BFFs Pippa and Gilly, plus their partners and kids, we enjoy a close knit community, lots of midlife woman jokes, romance, humour, danger and also series issues within the b stories such as addiction.
As always, Renee George delivers on the action and the emotion.
This one in particular has a wonderfully romantic scene that warms the heart.
A pure delight to read.

Another great story from Ms. George!!! Nora, Gilly and Pippa are a awesome trio! Scents strike at odd times, silliness and good times are had by all, double dates and Jordy is being hassled. Ezra, hot cop n boyfriend to Nora comes thru on the double dates and is one bad ass cop! Nora is yet again in the middle of a murder, helping her friends and running her shop. This is a really good who dunnit and I wasn't expecting the who dunnit at the end! Like a really good cup of coffee..... good till the last drop or word in this case!!! Fantastico..... again!!!!!!

Awesome read by an awesome author

I love all the books in this series by Renee George. In this book Gilly is trying to date. She doesn't trust herself so she has Nora and Easy double date with her to judge the two men interested in her. On one of these dates a woman is killed and Gillys ex is suspected. His daughter wants Nora to find the truth. Gillys dating disasters are hilarious. I love how the cops supported Nora after she goes after the guy who kidnapped Pippa. I couldn't put this book down.

Gilly’s jerk of an ex-husband Gio is the main person of interest in a murder. His and Gilly’s daughter asks Nora to use her psychic smell to investigate in hopes of clearing her father. Nora agrees by reminds Ari that it might prove her father guilty. Nora’s nose doesn’t let her down and she is able to get to the truth. I enjoyed the mystery, and the ending took me by surprise. As with all of this series, I love the family that Nora and her friends have created. I recommend this book and series to anyone who likes paranormal women’s fiction with a splash of romance and humor.

Nora and pals are back in another exciting cozy mystery. This one hits close to home when Gilly’s ex is the number one suspect in a homicide and while Nora would happily let him swing when her godchild asks her to investigate she can’t say no. This tale features some really bad dates, a slimy two-timing ex, politics, a hot cop and a woman with heart as big as Texas. I love this series and anxiously await each new installment.

This is a another great book in this series! It has romance, humor, non stop action and mystery. Nora Black is one of a kind woman who I always there for her BFFs to include her psychic nose. Plus she has a handsome detective younger boyfriend who has no problem asking to use her unique talent to help on a case. This case involves her BFF Gilly's ex-husband who was arrested for murder. Nora never fails and the real murderer is found.

OMG! I can never get enough of Nora and her friends.

These ladies just keep the story rolling. This time it's Gilly taking control and getting into the dating world again. Not going to give anything away other than to say get this book and take a look at dating over 40 looks like.

I had the strangest feeling throughout this book that I'd read it before, even though the publication date is listed as 12/29/21. I knew about the dates, and what would happen, and so many other things during the course of reading. I looked the publication date up several times, because I couldn't shake the feeling that I'd already read it. Unless it was published under a different name?
