We're a match made in hell and matches always burn.
Once upon a myth... An angel fell in love with the devil.
Salvi Moretti. I was his Eve, and he was my Lucifer.
Once, on Halloween, I sold my soul to the Devil. I considered Salvi Moretti my God, but he turned out to be the Devil in disguise.
He can break my wings, but he may have forgotten my claws will always come out. Eve died under that bridge and from the deepest underworld, a new entity was born.
Lilith has risen.
Welcome to New York's Underworld.
The sequel to the Devil's Lair dark mafia crime romance series. This concludes Salvi and Ehva's story.

WOW! Blown Away Things are about to unravel and nobody is coming out of this book unscathed.
First of all I have to mention how good Beena is at keeping things on edge so much so that I would often find myself holding my breath, never knowing what was going to happen next, always surprising me with her plot twists.
I would definitely recommend this book for people who like there romance dark, there plot twist unexpected, and down right jaw dropping. Beena also walks a fine line in this book with her characters, never being scared to shy away from who they have become and revelling just how far they have fallen from grace. Very excited for the next book.
I received an ARC copy of this book and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Fallen Angel is book two in the Devils Lair, Ehva, and Salvi’s conclusion. And what a conclusion it is. I am extremely surprised by the twists and turns in this book.
Ehva is far from the girl we got to know I’m book one. She rises from the ashes like a Phoenix, and Lilith is born. Let me tell you, she is a force to be reckoned with; I had a feeling after book one she would turn his world upside down. So I was ready and prepared, and I was not disappointed.
Book two picks up right after book one ends. From that moment on, it's action-packed. What I wasn't prepared for was the rollercoaster of emotions and ripping my heart out to be slowly mended back together.
Salvi will always be the villain of the story, but that is why we love him; he is almost non-redeemable. By the end of the book, I totally fell in love with him.
The Devil’s Lair duet is what I expect from the mafia, especially the Italian mafia. The brutal dark Don, closed off, alpha hole, and filled with angst. Plus you never let them see you sweat or get a read off them.
Just when I thought that the series couldn’t get any better, this book proved me wrong. You know that feeling when you really wish for something to happen and the author grants your wish? It happened to me with The Fallen Angel.
I enjoyed this book more than the first in the series, because hate (I kinda hated Salvi for a minute) turned into like and adoration. It’s so amazing to be a witness to a character’s evolution. And Salvi evolved just like a butterfly that was stuck into a cocoon. Until his Angel broke him free.
I loved how powerful the Angel was. How smart some of her moves were. And how much damage she did with her own body. Sometimes sacrificing yourself is the key to unlocking the door to heaven.
5 ⭐️ The Fallen Angel is the conclusion of the Devil’s Lair Duet and it was fantastic!
Beena Khan never fails to surprise me with her writing. You just never know what to expect in her books.
Regardless of amount of guessing I did, nothing prepared me for the twists and turns in this thrilling second book! There were so many heartwarming scenes and some that rip your heart out.
My poor little Ehva has been through so much. I really didn’t know how she would get her vengeance but also how Salvi could possibly redeem himself. I just wanted to shower her with love after all she’s been through.
I adore Beena’s writing. The way she’s able to flow between metaphors of Eve and Lucifer is brilliant.
I was so happy with the ending. Some scenes absolutely touched my heart. I loved how Salvi realized that he could get all the vengeance he wants but hurting her hurt him more than he could ever expect.
I can’t wait to see what Beena comes up with next. It’s always a surprise and I love that you can never guess how her books will end.
I am so grateful to have received an ARC and am leaving my review voluntarily.
The Fallen Angel by Beena Khan This book is the sequel to the Blue-eyed Devil, that book made me want to pull my hair out in frustration and cry for the heroine Ehva. I was left heartbroken and rooting for whatever revenge she may do for all the humiliation she experienced. In this conclusion, The Fallen Angel has risen and did not disappoint.
I love the author’s consistency with her characters. In this book, Salvi is still the man that exudes charisma and lethal power and then Miss Beena gave him an equal. The quote “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned” is the perfect description I would give for Ehva’s character. I love how she was developed as this naïve, in love girl to a vengeful woman who will risk it all. She’ll do everything in her power to destroy Salvi with the help of his brother Romeo.
I poured a lot of emotions in this dark romance book. The author delivered such a great well written story. You’ll never know what’s going to happen or what the twist of events will follow. To be honest I can’t find the reason to forgive Salvi but I’m so glued to every page of the book, How Ehva will defeat the Devil and bring him to his knees and surrender then Miss Beena brought that particular scene and nailed it. The road to redemption seems to be blurry but Salvi’s retaliation brought his own downfall. Ehva’s conviction and forgiveness is admirable.
This book is heartbreaking, twisted and phenomenal and I am happy to read more from Miss Khan’s work.

After reading the end of Salvi & Ehva I don't even know what else to expect from Beena Khan books! Seriously, this woman is constantly improving her stories and characters, especially in the last three books, they have blown my mind in the best possible way. But The Fallen Angel was particularly special, a real roller coaster with so many things happening at the same time 😳👌, the story is much darker, twisted and heartbreaking than in The Blue-Eyed Devil , took me from one twist to another in the plot, and each one better and more shocking than the last, broke my heart and heal it by letting me see the best and worst of each of the characters, including Romeo, and she gave me everything I didn't know I needed for Salvi & Ehva. I loved every decision Beena made for these characters and I think this duo is going to stay in my heart for a long, long time as one of the best stories I have ever read.
One of the best things about this book was reading completely different Salvi & Ehva, I think they both show their wounds throughout the book, both make unthinkable mistakes and very bad decisions, and in the end they have to face the consequences and the suffering they have caused, to themselves, to each other and to those around them.
I loved reading a lost Salvi, a man who cannot recognize how he feels about Ehva, but not because he is unwilling or stubborn, but because he's so broken and emotionally damaged that he really doesn't know how to love, which broke my heart, but it also made me love his character even more. What I enjoyed the most was that Benna showed him that vulnerable, but that it did not make him lose the impulsiveness and violence that has always characterized him, and as expected, Salvi has many hidden surprises up his sleeve , an especially cuddly and lovable one that made me love this book too much.
But if Salvi is different, Ehva becomes another person! A woman capable of ANYTHING to get her revenge, capable of lying, cheating and becoming the same devil to achieve her goals, and the best of all is that she does it without any remorse, at least the most of the time. Reading her "evil side" was wonderful, I was as surprised as Salvi to discover her plans, but what I liked the most was reading her making important decisions, making mistakes, accepting it and choosing to heal her injuries before anything else.
And Romeo! 😍 I really don't know what the Moretti brothers have that I love them more and more. Romeo was a very important character at all times, and I liked that a lot, and although I already suspected his role in the plot a bit, Beena developed it in a totally different way than what I expected, much more complex and simple at the same time, if it makes sense 😅 I really enjoyed reading him with Ehva and I started to love the "friendship" they were forming, until things happened and everything it got complicated, but I don't lose hope that in the future they will find their way back to each other and be real friends.

The fallen angel concludes the story between Salvi Moretti and Ehva Rossi.
At the beginning I did not know what to expect because at the end of the blue-eyed devil many things happened and this book from the first chapter was like OMG WHAT IS HAPPENING ??
This book is a complete roller coaster of emotions because too much happens and it is a cruder story. In this book we can see some Salvi and Ehva very broken and hurt by each other.
Salvi is a character who had never experienced love for another person so he did not know what to call what he felt for Ehva because he wanted her for him but at the same time there was this part of him that wanted revenge.
Ehva was broken by what Salvi did to her which made her stop loving him and well a new Ehva was born in search of revenge but oh my little girl suffered a lot🥺
These two did a lot of damage to each other along the way but I think in the end they were able to heal and forgive each other.
And Beena I kiss your brain for creating such wonderful stories. And I admit that I did not expect anything from what happened in this book, I loved the last chapters so much.
It was nice to read the story of the blue-eyed devil and his angel, in the end they were able to forgive each other and live a life together❤️
Baby Moretti is a character with whom I have a love-hate relationship, but when THAT little moment happened I was very scared and I said that cannot be the end, but I kept reading and calm came, he will even have a book, which I will be waiting.
Anyway, what a raw and emotional story for these two, you can't miss it.
PS: being a dark romance I recommend you read the trigger warning.
Oh, my goodness - what a book! Beena's writing, for me, of this series, has been a real rollercoaster of emotions. It made me sad, happy, angry, disgusted, sometimes all at the same time! Salvi has, up to now, been the aggressive one; not in this book, Ehva gets her revenge for how she's been treated by him. She's no longer the submissive angel from The Blue Eyed Devil. She's had to develop a hard exterior to be able to deal with the aftermath. Romeo is there to help her but of course it's not that straightforward. There's a lot of darkness in this book but it is countered by eventual redemption - but whose? Nice to catch up with Dahlia (Beauty and the Beast) and a guest appearance from Kabir Khan (Red).
I'm really looking forward to the next book to find out what happens to Romeo.
This is the dark and twisty conclusion. Salvi is into hard core vengeance.l, but the h gets one over on him… well not just one but several. She becomes darker to Fight darkness. I really loved this book. The one thing I didn’t get into was how hung up Salvi was on Dahlia from The previous books.
I love everything this author writes. Absolutely Loved It. Mr Salvi Moretti is a complex character, I could literally feel his emotion as I was reading. I love that he didn't get turned into a teddy bear, he just had a few of his edges rounded by the end. Salvi is such a well written character.
Beena khan I want you to know I cried real tears of frustration when she let him fuck. I went to bed and slept and there was like a 15 hour break between me finishing it and I think that’s the main reason I started liking it at the end bc I had time to forget abt how angry this book made me. I did like the ending and I think Salvi kind of redeemed himself but at the same time I only think this way bc I lowkey forgot the emotion I felt reading 90% of this book. Wow I hated that entire beginning and middle portion it made me so fucking frustrated 😭😭 WHY WERE THEY JUST GETTING REVENGE AND BETRAYING EACH OTHER BACK AND FORTH?? WHY WAS SHE SO WEAK SOMETIMES???? I honestly don’t care if it was part of her plan whyd she let Salvi fuck her after everything he did to her… I was so happy when she slept with Romeo and teamed up w him only to immediately betray him… It was just so fucking stupid and it reminded me of A Beauty So Cruel AGAIN WHICH U KNOW I HATE!!! I wish Salvi was in more pain but I liked that she held off him for 4 years which was nice and I liked that she lost the baby so he could feel terrible LMAO. Final verdict I’m not done with Beena Khan completely and I will be coming back but maybe in a minimum of 3 months she’s being put in time out for this fucking travesty
Another Dahlia who uses sex... Ehva has sex with Romeo and videotapes it for Salvi (Book 2) Romeo = Salvi's brother. But she's a smart and cunning woman ... yes, that's why she uses her vagina instead of her brain Lol There is really an h who plans a fucking revenge without using their fucking vagina in the process (?) They ALWAYS do the same. And Salvi is an evil devil? Really? hahaha Salvi is the MOST GENEROUS MAN IN THE WORLD! First he eats Vlad's leftovers and then "shares" his girl/Ehva with his brother hahaha
(...) (...) (...)

This SEQUEL IS Heartache, betrayal and all games that started the night of Halloween.
Blue- Eyed Devil needs to be read first as it’s a duet. Ehva’s growth was amazing to read. She’s not that naive catholic lawyer anymore. Her soul and heart is in pieces on the floor at Salvi’s feet. It’s what he wanted anyways, or was it? 🥺
An Angel and the Devil, a deadly combination. I’ve learned that Beena’s characters and writing are what I immediately connect with and I LOVE IT. Salvi is not my only book boyfriend Beena has written. This sequel starts off where book one ended, Ehva has learned all her games by the Game Master himself. The tables have turned and it’s was amazing to read this Lucifer and Eve retelling. I can’t wait for the next book in this series that’s a standalone.
TW/CW: violence, gun and blood play, gore and death, miscarriage and torture
The Fallen Angel owned me already from the first sentence and the journey it took me into is utterly perfection! I'm amazed how I once again felt every moment so deeply and the way I was completely shook more and more by every page.
Ehva and Salvi are intense as heck, from the tension to the steam and the fire between them, oof! All my morals were thrown out the window the second these two interacted again, oh boy!
We all know by now that Salvi is a villain, I mean he isn't called the Devil for nothing. Reading about him in his true nature is so wild but what makes it more epic is how throughout the story you start seeing small cracks on what he's holding inside of him, hidden behind the merciless side. Ehva lures something within him and I can't even find the right words to describe it but it's so insanely astonishing. I don't know how you do it, Beena, honestly, you're amazing!
Salvi's possessiveness, oh my gosh, um feminism who?? Ahh but what I adore is how he thinks he owns her but she totally owns him, holding his heart in her hands with the power to crush it to pieces!! And wow the new side to Ehva, the darker and more deadlier, holy smokes she blew me away, seriously go girl, you freaking badass queen!
The darkness, the intensity and the twists in here, what a way to keep a girl on the edge of her seat or more like hanging from a thread, the entire way! I can without a doubt tell you this quickly became one of my all time favorite reads EVER!
"We were doomed from the start. First love and heartbreaks. Fireworks and fury. We only create chaos together."
*I received this ARC from the author but the thoughts are completely my own.*
The Second book in the Devil's Lair Series and the end of Salvi and Ehvas story. Ehvas on a mission of revenge and is not going to stop. Salvi is like a bulldozer and goes after anything he wants!! This plot is of revenge, drama, and spice. Twists and turns that were shocked me to the core. Parts were very emotional, and I cried a few times. I loved Salvi, and he is so far my favourite MC of the Mafia books Beena has written. I loved how Beena wrote Ehvas character development. I'm looking forward to Romeos story next. If you like Dark Mafia Romance this is for you. Take note of the trigger warnings
The Fallen Angel is the conclusion to Salvi and Ehva's story and continues right from where The Devil's Lair ended. This is a well-crafted tale of revenge and vengeance and while redemption was the end-goal at the end, the road to it was quite something. I liked how Ehva was centered on her goals, and didn't give in to Salvi all that quickly, and her strength and resilience are something I admire quite a lot. Salvi is one of the characters I loved to hate when he was first introduced so seeing him like this was everything for me because he finally showed that he was more than just a don. Though I have to say a character I'm excited the most for is Romeo Moretti, something about the simmering darkness in him is so elusive, I love it, and I can not wait for Beena to put a fairytale spin on it!
As usual, Beena has done utmost justice to the myth their tale is loosely based on, and it's everything. Her writing has also evolved since the first book, and I like how her heroines are diverse. Salvi and Ehva's romance is one I'll remember for a long time because, despite its dark, twisted glory, it's deep in a way that pulls you in almost immediately.
However, at some places in the book, I felt that some scenes were overdone, and slightly out of place, and then the ending seemed a little sudden. Without divulging any spoilers, all I can say is that you'll enjoy this book if you love dark, gritty characters who live in the morally grey zones.
Book 2 of the Devil’s Lair duet picks up right after the tragic ending of Book 1 resulting in the transformation of Ehva to her broken, darker existence.
This is a book I could not put down. Even better, I couldn’t predict what was going to happen - and there is so much going on with the failings of revenge, possessiveness, brother against brother and the intensity of broken love.
I am so glad I read Book 1 again before reading book 2 and that I am going right to book 3 (a standalone). It is truly a series to fully immerse yourself into. Beena Khan has quickly become one of my “must read” authors.
I'd like to start by saying that I read this book in one sitting. Quite literally. I couldn't put it down until I got to the very last page.
Salvi was absolutely delicious. Dark and twisted, but oh so delicious. Even when I couldn't help but hate him, I still loved him. Ehva managed to touch me. She was fierce and intelligent. Quite often I was wondering "Hasn't she been through enough? Is she strong enough to make it?" The answer is yes. She is one of the strongest.
"The Fallen Angel" was the epic conclusion to an epic story. The story of Ehva and Salvi. It made me cry It made me swoon. It made me cry again. It made me angry. It made me feel. And I think that's one of the most important things that make a book truly great. So, bravo, Beena! Yet again, you have created a masterpiece!
Uh, I have a book hangover now 😭 Salvi and Evha were everything! I didn’t want their story to end.
Since the beginning, Salvi was always a favourite of mine. Just the way he was with Dahlia, made him just the standard for me. I was heart broken back then for him but he really got his happily ever after now.
I don’t blame Evha for reacting the way she did. Hell, Salvi deserved it but he also redeemed himself over and over again.
I don't think I've ever had a character that I honestly can't decide whether to love or hate them. Salvi Moretti. He truly is the Devil, but I still have to love him. Ehva Rossi is my new favorite! I thought no one in this series or spinoff would top Dahlia, but Ehva she truly gets dark and twisted but still shines bright with some goodness. The twists and turns honestly make this one of favorite books!! I've loved Beena Khan from the beginning, but each book gets better and better. I can't wait to read more! I highly recommend reading The Devil Lairs series and all of these books! I received an ARC and this is my honest review.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
The Fallen Angel by Beena Khan is a dark mafia romance. It's the second book from the Devil's Lair series.
This is a dark, twisted, and very unpredictable book. The story was about Ehva's revenge on Salvi Moretti. From an Angel, she turned into a demon, Lilith, and became worst than the Blue-Eyed Devil. It felt like watching an epic battle between two evil and hurt people. I don't know how to properly describe it. There were so many twists, so much craziness, and all the emotions that were brought out of me. There were moments when I wanted to comfort the characters and others to strangle them. I liked Salvi in this one. He showed a more human side, he loved and got hurt but never gave up. Ehva was my least favorite. I didn't like how she changed and used people. She made me like Dahlia more. The scene that made an impression on me was the one that brought Salvi to his knees.
The only sure thing is that while reading this book you will get angry, you will cry and if you are a bit kinky you might get turned on. I truly enjoyed the conclusion of their story and I will rate it with 4 stars.
PS. A little message for the author: That scene that tortured my soul was cruel, why did you have to do this to me? 😭
"They’ve seen the light in Ehva, but they haven’t seen the new me. A dark deity. The Queen of the Night. Lilith."
This ending was much more better than the first book. Ehva was still a little weak when it came to Salvi but this time she successfully beat him at his own game. I loved her spirit but I didn't agree with some decisions she made. Nevertheless, I loved seeing Salvi & Ehva's journey progress. The character development was immaculate and I just couldn't get enough of these two as the chapters progressed. I still am not over them and I can't wait to meet them again in Romeo's book! Overall, it was a highly entertaining, angsty read that put me through a rollercoaster of emotions! The twists and turns were highly engaging and the side characters were equally solid. If you are in the mood to read an angsty mafia romance with a hint of enemies to lovers, you should definitely pick this up!
No because I was so confused. First they’re hot then cold, enemies then lovers then enemies then lovers, evil no I’m good. Romeo being dragged into it for no reason in the end? I’m left disappointed with these two psychos.
This book hooked me from the very beginning. Some places forced me to stop and catch my breath. The ending stunned me.....what a great story teller. Bring the Kleenex...
“The further you sink into me, the darker it will be, and the more you’ll depend on my darkness. I might be dead inside with a heart made of stone, but yours is made purely of gold. You, my girl, you’ll witness every frightening thought, every twisted fantasy I have ever had of you tonight. I’m not stopping till morning. You’ll see how villains are made.” - The Fallen Angel by @beenaxkhan
- Lucifer & Eve myth retelling - mafia romance - dark romance - tw/cw: dub-con//torture//murder & violence
This is the second book in the Devil’s Lair series & it cannot be read as a stand-alone.
In The Fallen Angel, we get to see the rebirth of Ehva as Lilith, not with a name change but with her personality & demeanor. We’re taking through the grief of Salvi’s betrayal and how Ehva tries to exact revenge & she slowly starts to learn that even though her father kept her far from this world, it’s still something that’s very much in her blood.
I was rooting for Ehva to come back fearless & vindictive. There were moments of weakness between her and salvi, but i mean.. who can blame her & despite it all, Salvi does get a taste of his own medicine.
This story is one of love & loss, our characters bleed & cry for one another and every moment of it is fucking mind blowing. At one point i had to drop everything and message Beena bc omggg this woman can give us a great story & really make her characters suffer & as much as my heart broke, i could not put it down.
I’m not gonna lie, i was so so scared starting this story bc of how things ended in the Blue Eyed Devil but i was not let down one bit.
Finish Ehva’s & Salvi’s story on 12/07! Message me all your thoughts, rants & tears because i promiseeee it’ll be worth it.
This 2.5 rating has nothing to do with me hating the book as a whole, more so my hatred for the characters. I honestly thought Ehva would’ve grown a proper backbone in this book but I can’t say she really did. She still honestly felt like the same girl from the first book, with just some additional revenge scheme. I actually cannot explain the anger her character gave me. LIKE I WAS JUST SCREAMING AT MY KINDLE “PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, GROW A BACKBONE AND SAY NO TO THIS MAN!!” And she never did until the last 70%. Even then, it took too long for me to feel satisfied.
And don’t even get me started on Salvi. When he first appeared in a beauty so cruel, I didn’t like him, because he did some…questionable activities. Then, in a beast so cold, I kinda got to like him because I saw some humanity in him. And then in this series…I hated him so badly. Like, every time it was his perspective, I literally wanted to claw my eyes out. Listen, I like dark romance but I think his character is just a little too unhinged and psychotic for me. Like I understand morally grey men, but at this pont he is not grey. He is a villain. To which, the author DID preface the book by saying that, but I think he is too….”villainy”…Like there really isn’t a good bone in his body at all…despite Beena trying her best to show that there was LMAO
I was very excited for this book to see Salvi’s downfall, but he barely got one. This book left me very unsatisfied and for once in my life I actually did not wish for a happily ever after. I wish the ending was different, and that Salvi stayed miserable for the rest of his life. But it’s okay, at least I never have to read in his perspective again.
On another note, I will be reading Romeo’s book because I have faith in his character. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASEEEEEE BE GOOD ROMEO!! I trust you, and the synopsis of his book sounds wildly different to this one, so I am very intrigued.
Anyway, I still love Beena Khan’s writing style, she is an excellent writer. Just these two characters…Yeah, I never wanna hear from them again :D
What I LOVED: Ehva’s characterization in this finale was phenomenal! She’s not the submissive angel from the first book anymore, she has grown a very hard exterior and has become Lilith incarnate and I loved it!
Salvi has finally met his match and they couldn’t be any more perfect for each other with the rising sexual tension and constant back and forth of revenge plots. As much as I love Salvi, I was all for team Ehva in this book and the way her cunning mind works has amazed me. But I also very much loved Salvi’s character development. He’s morally grey through and through but towards the end, I found so much more reasons to fall hard for him.
With Romeo caught in the middle of their wrath and all the revelations, things got messy in the best way! This book was a rollercoaster of emotions and there were so many moments that had me swooning, laughing, disgusted and even crying. I absolutely enjoyed this duet with The Fallen Angel being my favorite of the two!
What I LIKED: One of my favorite things about this mafia world that Beena has created is how I can’t help but love all the characters. It was nice reuniting with Dahlia and I liked that I got to know Romeo better in this. I’m super excited for his book next!
What you might not ENJOY: I personally didn’t find any flaws with this book but with the growing dark content in Beena’s books, I suggest checking out the content warning lists on all her books.
THIS BOOK IS PERFECT FOR: fans of very steamy and very dark mafia romance with morally grey characters you can’t help but root for! If you’re a fan of Beena’s previous work, I highly recommend checking this duet out!
