I’ve been saying that Lucy’s going to be my bride for years now, but she doesn’t take me seriously. I mean every word, and my love for her has never wavered.

I finally convince her to tie the knot by making up a story that I need a bride to take over my family’s firm. It works. I’m married to the girl of my dreams.

The problem is that now she thinks I don’t actually love her and that I married her only because I wanted money. How does a man go about convincing his best friend that he lives for her? That money means nothing if he doesn’t have her?

Un libro Friends to lovers, corto, para pasar el rato, sin tanto drama y sobre saltos.

Y a pesar de que la relación de ellos no se puede profundizar y desarrollar demasiado al tener tan pocas páginas no se me hizo apresurado, llevó un buen ritmo.

Me hubiera encantado que fuera más largo porque amé la premisa.

Un Friends To Lovers muy lindo. Es breve y directo pero no por eso resulta precipitado, tal vez debido a la amistad entre los protagonistas, ese hecho hizo que no pareciera rapido su cambio de amigos a pareja.

En resumen, un bonito relato. Me gusto por lo sencillo que fue, nada de drama o escenas ( demasiado ) fantasiosas.

Estuvo normal, entretenido pero hasta ahí... la verdad en unas semanas ni lo voy a recordar porque no es fan memorable pero si de lo mejorcito que he leído últimamente.

Forever mine de Ella Goode


Argumento:

Llevo años diciendo que Lucy será mi esposa, pero no me toma en serio. Me refiero a cada palabra, y mi amor por ella nunca ha vacilado.

Finalmente la convenzo de que se case inventando una historia de que necesito una novia para hacerme cargo de la empresa de mi familia. Funciona. Estoy casado con la chica de mis sueños.

El problema es que ahora piensa que en realidad no la amo y que me casé con ella solo porque quería dinero. ¿Cómo logra un hombre convencer a su mejor amiga de que vive para ella? ¿Ese dinero no significa nada si él no la tiene?

No lo sé, pero no me rendiré hasta que me entere.





Mí humilde opinión:

Esta fue una linda y divertida historia de amigos a amantes!

Tengo que decir que me enamoré de Wyatt, este es el héroe que espero de la mano de EG. Él iba a por todo con Lucy, no paró hasta que ella comprendió que la quería más que como una amiga.

Lucy por otro lado me sacó un poco de quicio! El tipo estuvo dos años prácticamente saliendo con ella, todos parecían creer que estaban enamorados, él no miraba a otras y Lucy no podía ver que él tenía sentimientos por ella!? Podía ser tan ciega!? No me gustó que él tuviera que renunciar para que ella le crea que no se casaba con ella por la empresa familiar. Era como si él hiciera todo el esfuerzo y ella solo dudaba de todo.

Pero a pesar de eso, me encantó la pareja, lo compañeros que eran compartiendo comidas y mirando programas juntos pero también había una química explosiva! Todo iba dulce y lento entre ellos que era una delicia de leer.

Adorable HEA y el epílogo me hizo reír mucho cuando Wyatt se pone todo padre celoso protector con su hija.

"Forever Mine" is the story of Lucy and Wyatt.

Sweet, slow burn romance about best friends who are in love with each other. The hero is more vocal about his feelings, and pursues the heroine, asking her to be his bride of convenience.. As expected, it ends with them confessing their feelings and making it a permanent arrangement.

I actually really liked it! It was sweet and funny and Wy was an indulgent and possessive H. The h was also sensible and non-clingy. I wished it could’ve been longer. There was a real plot and story to it and it was going along well until it finally had to end. The HEA was from 20 years. I wanted to see some close ones as well.

You could always count on Ella on making sweet honest to goodness story. This one was all about best friend turned into love. Well, trapped on being friendzone and how turned it to lover to be exact. They met to one of event that the h arranged and catered. H was a handsome dashing smart lawyer and h was you usual sweet loveable EO employee. They met and then stuck in friend because of one thing and another.

The story was sweet. No drama. Full of tingling warm feelings.

I couldn’t get into the book; the jumps to conclusions, and straight up unwillingness of the two MCs to honestly talk to each other was so annoying. Also, the fact that the Heroine was so into the Hero — and was his best friend — yet actively encouraged him to date/marry someone else was so frustrating. It came across as a really dumb martyr-like move.

I just wanted to slap both Wyatt and Lucy upside the head! They are friends who love each other but have friend zoned one another. Wyatt wants to make Lucy his and tells her and asks her to marry him constantly. She thinks he’s joking and it hurts her. One night while drunk Lucy kissed him, being a gentleman he helped her get comfortable and left her, she took it as a rejection, he wanted their first kiss and first time to be something she remembers while sober. Lots of back and forth, Lucy even goes on a date, that Wyatt crashes. He finally uses the excuse of needing to be married to take over the family firm toget her to marry him. He sells it as a marriage of convenience, which she believes. She agrees and they have their first time together, she’s a virgin, no mention of his past. They start planning the wedding which gets pushed back and he keeps bulldozing her along, he’s afraid she’ll back out . Then his uncle who will sign over the company to him says some mean things about Lucy that her friend overhears. She shares the info with Lucy, she feels overwhelmed and decides to end the fake engagement. Wyatt is so angry with his uncle that he resigns, he texts Lucy with the news of resigning and needing her home with him. He ends the text message with “luv u”. This is the first time he has said those words to Lucy. She is thrilled, she comes to his house and immediately tells him she loves him too. Just delivered is the custom order pink diamond ring he ordered for her, he doesn’t waste anytime and proposes to her. Lots of I love yous. Epilogue with their kids as teenagers.

Hilarious little romance. I find this scenario really funny.

It's about two best friends who are in love with each other but think the other one is not interested. That is the source of misunderstandings and crazy situations, for instance, the restaurant scene which I adored. It doesn't stop there, though. This workaholic of a man is being pressured by his boss to find a wife or he will lose his coveted position. Even though he is against this preposterous idea, he still pursues his friend with never-stopping marriage proposals that she dismisses because she thinks they are a joke. Oh, the fun.

I love it when the male character shows off his interest and over-the-top possessiveness of the heroine, and here the man really goes all out in proving how much he wants to care for all her needs. She might be a little clueless, but she's carrying some emotional issues due to her parents. The moment she realizes how committed he actually is to her, it's lovely and exciting. All the changes he's ready to make to include her in his life and to make her happy come out in the shape of very entertaining scenes.

And the epilogue is so good! Sweet and funny.

It was sweet

Wyatt was the perfect guy, but within the context of this story he was more wannabe alpha... Lucy was sweet, but a clueless twit. Them falling into bed together the 1st time was kind of strange because it felt like it came out of nowhere, I felt like I missed a much needed chapter prior to that. Overall, all ends well between the 2 of them and they're good together. Maybe it's just me? But I totally thought we'd see the uncles professional demise as well as Merideths humiliation(or something) at least in the epilogue?? It was a big thing, and then nothing, not even a hint?? Idk, it was a good story, just not a favorite. I wish Ella would go back to writing the books that made her a one click purchase for me like spark, captured, or even along the style of their private need. Everyone has different tastes though, so I'd still recommend.

Wyatt and Lucy

Don't know why but for some reason I was convinced I wasn't going to enjoy this book and it took me a couple of first starts to finally give it a good try. And I am so happy I did! I love Wyatt! He was great. Lived their friendship and the banter between them. Funny also which was unexpected. Highly recommended

Sometimes, men just don’t get that all the sass makes a girl wonder when stuff is real. This is a very hard learned lesson for Wyatt and Lucy. Afraid of getting hurt, Lucy really puts Wyatt through the paces. HEA with sweet epilogue.

Plot: Wyatt and Lucy have been friends for a long time, best friends even. But Wyatt has a huge crush on Lucy, and needs to find a way to make her believe that he wants her. He has another problem: his uncle says he has to marry if he wants to inherit the business. So Wyatt decides to kill two birds with one stone and get Lucy to marry him. She still doesn't believe him so they opt for an in-name only marriage until he can convince her otherwise.

Character development: I'm not sure why Lucy didn't catch on. He kept saying he wanted to marry her and she couldn't believe that he wanted to marry her. I'm not sure I'd want to have kids with her - doesn't sound so bright. But truthfully, if I were him, I would have broken down a long time ago and just started shouting at her until she got it.

Finalmente, Wyatt decide dejar la empresa, demostrando que Lucy es más importante que cualquier herencia o aprobación. Es en ese punto cuando ambos se confiesan su amor, reconociendo que todo ese tiempo habían estado negando lo inevitable.

El libro termina con su boda y un epílogo que muestra la vida feliz que construyeron juntos, con varios hijos y esa sensación de plenitud que solo existe cuando dos personas encuentran en el otro su lugar en el mundo. Es una historia corta, muy sencilla y sin drama innecesario, donde el conflicto no está en la pareja sino en su entorno y en sus propios miedos.

What can I say about this book that would give it enough justice. The more books I read by Ella Goode the better they get. This is not an exception as I read this in one go and didn’t want it to end. Even though it’s a short read the whole story between these two kept me captivated. I love reading a best friends to lovers romance especially when it’s faced paced snd the hero doesn’t stop until he makes her his. Wyatt has loved Lucy from the moment they met and has wanted her to be with him but just took as her best friend just to be around her. Lucy has felt the same but one night something happens and she thinks he has friend zoned her. The more time they spend together the more their chemistry grows but keep it as friends until Wyatt has to get married to gain his families firm. Killing two birds with one stone he continuously asks Lucy to marry him but she is scared that’s all he wants her for. In true Ella Goode style this book has all the feels, laughter, swooning and the scenes are delicious on the best sort of way. Loved loved loved and look forward to reading more by Ella.

A marriage of convenience...or at least that's what Lucy thinks. But Wyatt has other plans.
Wyatt's been harped on constantly by his uncle that the company can't be passed to him unless he marries. But at the same time Wyatt is determined to get in control of the company before his uncle and all his sexual harassment complaints can bring them all down. Now if only he could finally get Lucy to agree to his proposals.

For Lucy, each time Wyatt jokingly says they should get married she slowly feels her heart cracking in her chest more and more. After all he doesn't mean it and doesn't know that Lucy does actually love him. But she feels she owes Wyatt after he helped her out with her job, so when he offers a marriage bargain so he can gain control of the company, she'll finally say "I do".

I will say I wasn't big on Lucy and the fact that she seemed to wear a blindfold when it came to Wyatt and other women. I mean this dude was chasing her for 2 years. He never went out with another woman and heck they even had their habits on certain days that they did like their pizza dates.

Ahhhh God, the subtle humour in Ella Goode's novels, the slight overbearing yet sweet nature of the alpha male, the last moment confessions of true love, and a happily ever after of the couple- are some of the major reasons why I stay consistent with Ella Goode's releases.

Story revolves around the Wyatt having genuine feelings for Lucy and her thinking that it's just good natured humour of him to keep asking her hand in marriage. He comes up with a vivid plan and eventually she agrees, BUT still under the delusion that the marriage has only societal and monetary purpose. Even though she feels intensely for him she feels dejected just because he refused to kiss her after she got drunk and tried to kiss him. Which again a misunderstanding. In the end she tries to leave him but realising that he gave up everything just to be with her she falls back into her arms and they make some sweet loving..
I liked this one. Would highly recommend.

These two are perfect for each other but so clueless.

Lucy and Wyatt are in love with each other but are afraid to admit it. When Wyatt meets Lucy she had just lost her mom so he lets her friend zone him because he feels she's not ready for more. Two years later he is desperate for more but Lucy doesn't realise he loves her. By now she loves him, too but doesn't know what to do about it. They do finally get their HEA but it isn't easy or painless. Wyatt made me laugh so hard. Especially in his interactions with Ernest, his assistant and Rose his Uncle's secretary. Really cute book, well worth the read.
