I have a secret fantasy. One I can’t admit out loud. I want to be chased. I want to be chased, captured and taken by an Alpha.
In this modern age of medicine and technology, I shouldn’t want these things. Unlike my ancestors, I’m not a slave to my hormones despite my Omega designation.
But when I learn of an opportunity to make my fantasy a reality, my curiosity is piqued and I can’t resist.
I just hope curiosity doesn’t kill this cat.

If you’re looking for the sauciness of omegaverse with the sweetness of contemporary romance, you’ll love this enemies-to-lovers omegaverse set in our world.
This is a standalone short romance with happy ending, using British English spelling and usage.
I'm Hannah Haze, a why choose paranormal romance author known for my sweet omegaverse books and not so sweet magical academy series. If you enjoy a touch of humour, a lot of steam and plenty of swoony, romantic moments; strong fmcs who know what they want and mmcs who vary from the devoted to obsessive, then I am the woman for you!
My other loves include long romantic walks in the countryside, undisturbed soaks in a hot bath and even hotter stories. I have one husband, three children, a very naughty cat and a new fluffy pupster. When I’m not writing stories, I’m thinking about stories, listening to stories, reading stories or dreaming about them.
Hannah's writing just keeps getting better and better!! I love her contemporary take on Omegaverse. I love how Alphas and Omegas are supposed to be like normal people, and their urges aren't really supposed to effect them. To be civilized. But nope, those instincts are hard to ignore or deny.
Cassie, an omega wants something she's not supposed to. She's missing something in her monotonous life. She can't stop thinking about her fantasies of being chased, captured, dominated and knotted by a wild and powerful Alpha. In online secretive chat rooms, she finds out about The Chase. A place she can have her fantasy fulfilled, if she dares.
Ford, a successful alpha, knows he's looking for something special. His alpha inside is picky and restless. He goes to The Chase to try to let his alpha instinct work out some of it's angst and hopefully find what they're looking for. He's ready to just give up, when his eyes land on Cassie and he gets a nose full of her delicious scent. The Chase is on!
I loved how even with The Chase their relationship built slowly, giving each a chance to realize they were fated mates. The heat between them just sizzled. They had obstacles to overcome, and Cassie made Ford fight and work hard for her submission and their HEA. Really well done!!
This is an entertaining story with strong characters in Cassie and Ford. They have a sizzling hot chemistry but they will need to overcome some hurdles along the way. It's well written with descriptive scenes ,moves quickly and smoothly and is a great read.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
The writing and editing was fairly good in the ARC version of the manuscript, with occasional typos and generally well constructed sentences. Hopefully the typos will be fixed in the retail version. The world building was minimal, with me the reader not feeling a strong sense of place or the differences and similarities between our society and one with A/B/O dynamics. The characterization was good, with the heroine especially being a sympathetic individual with strengths and weaknesses. The hero was less well drawn, I suspect because we get fewer scenes from his point of view. The conceit of the reader not knowing the names of these characters until at least 80% of the way into the novel was an interesting one that I enjoyed. The development of the romantic relationship was sweet and hot. The heat level was three chili peppers. The plot was interesting, with some danger and excitement that made the pacing quite quick. This novel had low angst and high stakes, which tends to be one of my preferred narrative structures for a romance novel. This novel used the Fated Mates trope. The world building was two stars. The plot and pacing were five stars. The characterization and development of the romantic relationship were both four stars. I therefore gave this novel a combined rating of four stars. This novel had a Happy Ever After ending which included the establishment of the mating bond instead of a Happy For Now or cliffhanger ending, so that was a big plus. I think this novel would be quite enjoyable to readers who enjoy sweet omegaverse romances with some suspense or action elements. I look forward to reading the next book written by this author. I might buy myself a keeper copy of this novel. I think it is my favorite written so far by this author.

I loved everything about this. It was the perfect little afternoon read, fast paced, richly detailed, and amazing tension/emotional draw between the two main characters.
Spoiler-ish below********************************** * * * * I loved the story being told from first person POV, some of my favorite authors do that but I know it’s not everyone’s jam but I find it really helps make the world that much more believable and I connect more with the characters emotions. This story gives you both the heroine & heroes POV, alternating, and I really appreciate getting to hear inside both of their heads; not to say I don’t also appreciate a one sided POV simply for the tension it creates in only knowing what the main POV knows, but this really works for me, especially in a short read like this. I also liked that it wasn’t bogged down with lots of superficial background characters. There are a few background peeps, but in a lot of stories I find sometimes they’re super unnecessary to the plot and I forget who they are or if I need to remember them for some reason (like a red herring that has no importance to the plot) but in this story they were the perfect amount to help balance out the world and fill in just enough details to have our focus stay on the main couple.
Also, I live for ABO romances, and this writer never fails to deliver. And the sexy times are so well done, not grossly porny but enticing enough to get you really into what our two love birds are doing.
In short, excellent afternoon read, definitely recommend!!

Hannah Haze is one of my favorite Omegaverse authors. More so, since she does write RH books, too, and not only M/F. RH and Omegaverse are my favorite genres. So, I read as much as I can.
And I really love her writing and the way she creates characters, who are strong, intriguing and humanly. They have struggles and emotions, and the stories are always entertaining with twists and new angles. In some ways, it's always unique.
That is what I like about the books. They have the right amount of everything. Good, (in)humanly characters, interesting world, and smutty scenes. In this book it was well-balanced, and the chase was a good point of the story. Fairly, I have to say, I loved it, but it still is not perfect. A little loose end was left behind. I mean, what happened with the people on the grounds, and why did no one look after Cassie and Ford? I mean, they didn't get back to the clubhouse. Though, I don't understand why. Didn't they have to tell what happened? And their things were there too? Yeah, I get it. It's a short book. More short story. And it is astounding how much depth this story has. But still. I would have liked to know what happened after that (and how the Alphas could change the security) and if the chase still exists?
Overall, I give it 4 stars. Is a really great Omegaverse story.
Nothing like a little thrill to get the heart (and the libido) pumping. Cassie may seem like she is a strong woman who is above her baser Omega instincts, but deep down she longs for an alpha to prove he is worthy by chasing and then forcing her to submit. She longs for her omega to be dominated by her alpha. Enter 'The Chase', a hush-hush vetted event that allows omegas and alphas to act on their instincts in a safe environment.
What Cassie doesn't expect is to be bowled over by a pair of hypnotizing dark eyes and scent that makes her want to drop her panties. Run she does. But is it in fear or desire??
The Alpha smells and sees Heaven; he'll stop at nothing to attain it because he knows there is something greater at work here than some after dark fun.
What drives one may not drive the other, but soon they will both realize that the desire that has begun burning inside of them will not be easily quenched. They will have to soon face the draw they have for one another. Passion and desire ignites
This was good, but it wasn’t what I was hoping it would be. Given the title and the blurb I really expected we would get more of the chasing (primal) aspect. There were chase scenes, but they weren’t really the focus and they never ended the way a primal chase normally would. It was a lot of dancing around the idea of chasing and giving into those instincts, but when it came time the sparks fizzled out.
The story was good though. I like the idea of a contained chasing establishment with rules & safeguards in place. But I would’ve liked to have at least been told briefly what happened with to the program after the bad Alphas hijacked the buttons and obviously assaulted other omegas off page. I needed to know they got in trouble or justice was served for the omegas hurt, but it never says. They just leave. 🫤
I’m glad they get their HEA, but it’s just not as satisfying with loose ends yakno?
She's an omega that was hurt and lied to years ago and she will never trust an alpha again. For this reason, she uses blockers to cover her scent and only seeks relief when she is in heat. She learns of a retreat called The Chase for omegas where she can go in anonymity and spend a weekend of relief with no danger of an alpha's dominance. Everything is going as advertised until she looks into the eyes of an alpha that takes her breath away, but she can't allow that kind of attraction, so she runs.
She has sleepless nights thinking of those eyes that mesmerized her, will she let go of her fear and seek out that alpha that so entranced her?
I loved this story by Hannah Haze! Set in a world not too dissimilar to our own, save for one key difference—designations, the characters and their motivations, desires and fears are completely relatable and immersive. In this story, the author weaves strands of the darker and more animalistic themes associated with traditional Omegaverse into the lives of people we could know, giving it a grounded and honest feel whilst still being sexy as hell!
I read a draft of this story to give feedback, and I’m genuinely excited to reread it as a finished article.
In a world where alphas and omegas no longer have to deal with their baser primal instincts Cassie does not fit the mold her desires hidden in the comfort of her own bed late at night have her wanting to tap into those instincts and then she finds out about the chase a super secret gathering where she can live out that fantasy and finds herself drawn to a mysterious alpha in this interesting omegaverse where primal instinct meets modern thinking and clashes to find fate
I loved Cassie she knows what she wants and that’s to be chased. Will her Alpha be able to catch his Omega. The characters are engaging and well developed with plenty of chemistry throughout the pages and the storyline has a great theme. Looking forward to reading more by this author.

New to this author and now I know what I'm bingeing on for awhile. Immediately loved Cassie and the writing stepped you right into her shoes with her worries and victories as your own. This was such a refreshing omega story with a sweet alpha but without sacrificing the grit and dominance you expect and want from one.
Well written story full of complex relationships among characters. Mysterious race to get some excitement. And gets more than she hoped for. Omega meets Alpha are they ready to be together? Good reality and background. Enjoyable plot and action.

4 1/2 stars A story that perfectly encompasses the idea of alpha and omega. I enjoyed reading this book. It was well crafted and the scenes were enticing and entertaining to read. The characters had wonderful chemistry which was easily felt. Their underlying urges were very easily expressed and very believable.
I requested a copy of this book so I could provide an honest review.
Cute short omegaverse story. Some things aren’t completely explained but I’m not sure if this is part of a series so I’m assuming maybe we find out more later? If you don’t mind not getting the answers to everything it shouldn’t bother you. There’s a few minor typos but nothing too jarring.
It was a has a good polite, but I think it should have been longer.the writter could have made him chase after her when they seen each other at the bar or chased after her in the when they where in the building. I think it just could've been longer. I like the writer to know it was good .
The Omega Chase, book 6 of the Omega’s Heat series by Hannah Haze, @hannahhazewrites. I am a huge fan of Hannah’s & this book was terrific!
I thoroughly enjoyed this novella about Cassie & Ford! Tropes: Contemporary, Omegaverse, Male/Female, Primal Play, Fated Mates, No 3rd Act Break Up & HEA!
It's nice to read an omegaverse that's sweet yet spicy. I really liked how this author depicts the world, like it's similar to real life but still different. I really enjoyed the romance that had suspense too, which made for an interesting read.
Short read with a twist or two but otherwise it was still enjoyable with enough heat and steam between the two main characters. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Alphas and Omegas driven by instincts join in the chase. It is here that Cassie finds her fated mate and is rescued by him when things go wrong. At first Cassie is hesitant but soon accepts Ford as her mate in all ways. The story flowed really well and I plan to read more from this author.
I really enjoyed this one. Hannah Haze’s take on Omegaverse is one of my favorites out there. This one has dated mates, and I thought it worked really well.
Loved it. It was quick, but didn’t lack anything but a resolution to the alpha’s bad behaviour. Loved Ford, he was the perfect alpha, waiting for his forever omega. Yep, liked this a lot. Writing was good, easy to read. Well done Hannah.
This is a short read. The concept was interesting. I loved the connection between the characters and how they didn’t believe in it at first. The chase was so hot tho 🥵
This is a sweet and heated omegaverse romance. There is suspense and good world building. Cassie and Ford have heated chemistry and passion. This has an engaging storyline and characters.
I liked it and the concept behind it. I've read a lot of omegaverse and this is a little different. Everything is controlled. This is sweet. It's not rough and tumble.
