This charming story was really different and it threw me for a loop! The author writes delicately and treats her characters with the utmost respect and dignity. I've never read a book where the author takes such care of her characters, making sure that not only will you the reader love them, but you will understand them. I got this enchanted feeling while reading this. It was as if the main characters Cass and Adam were in their own mythical place when they were together. And the romance just burns through the page.
"The sun, setting earlier each day, snuck her rays through the trees, casting fairy dances across the ground."
"She’d been sitting on the front porch, eyes closed, trying not to sink into the complete exhaustion that had washed over her body pretty much since she’d arrived here. It had been for longer, truthfully, but was intensified here. The magical air surrounding this place cast a sleeping spell upon her."
I've never read an author who was a true romantic before. Ohlin clearly writes from the heart and its devastatingly honest. We have two characters seemingly different, who find each other by listening to their thumping, loud, beating hearts that recognize true love. Even the way Author Ohlin describes something made me swoon. Its simple, yet chock full of subtext that brings you there in person.
"She’d actually made a dent in catching up on her sleep debt. The sun shone in through all the windows, lighting up the room. In addition to the afghan, she’d been tucked in with an extra blanket. There was a note on the coffee table, held in place with a small jar of late-season dahlias so dark purple they were almost black."
"What settled into her was the knowledge that she didn’t want to leave this place, not yet. From the minute she’d stepped out of her car, it had wrapped around her like a warm hug. She was starting to sleep well. The water and land had restored her senses. Most importantly, she breathed a measure of letting go, finally, and with that, hopefully a path leading back to herself."
I adored the slow dance Adam and Cass performed together, not rushing to get to know each other. The story was so relaxed...like the equivalent of drinking a lemonade on a hot day while rocking in a porch swing. Author Ohlin isn't in a hurry to get these two in bed. It was all so sweet and sexy at the same time.
"She owed him nothing, but something in his gaze sang of a tightly leashed longing and caressed her skin with the message he belonged to her. Or wanted to."
"Love flowed throughout the place. Cass could feel it as sure as her heart beating. Which stuttered to life again. Life and love continued on around her every day. She’d been burrowed under for too long. The magnificent scents bounding back into her environment were proof she didn’t want to stay buried."
Romance builds but never crashes, even when there is a unexpected clog in the works. The author uses so much imagery that makes you think these characters are on their own planet full of pixie dust and beautiful dreams. Its refreshing to find an author that writes with such grace and subtlety. I loved all the food references, and how Adam loved his horses. I didn't read book one and two (yet) but its clear this family went through trauma and came out the other side. (This book reads like a standalone by the way) The characters are all pretty fleshed out and the rest of the family is made important to the story as well. Nothing is written without purpose here.
My favorite line in the story is this: "“If something nudges your soul and brings you to tears, you shouldn’t deny it.". It struck me as very insightful and cathartic to this family. I was truly disappointed when I finished reading this because after all, its over! I believe the author is writing more, and I will be in line clamoring for it after I read book one and two in this series. Other authors should take cues from Ohlin, as this is true romance in every sense. Its when you get a rush in your body and you cherish every little moment with that person. Every quirk. Every movement. Ohlin gets this better than any other author I've read in this genre. It makes you keep the faith because, as one of her characters say, "Love like that doesn’t come around very often. And you both deserve a lifetime of magic.” And who doesn't want that in their life?
I enjoyed this book and how the author took the reader through her journey of how she was feeling. I did not read the first two books in the series and was still able to pick up the story well, so these could all be a stand-alone or read the whole series through. The book did a good job of going through the main two characters' feelings along the way but was geared more towards Cassandra and how she was handling her past grief and her current situations.
What a sweet and romantic story Flirting With Forever was. Adam was a gentleman through and through. Cass was a broken woman just looking to reset her life and move forward. Together they found that love can conquer all and solve a lot of life’s problems.
Adam was in love with the land and Brockman Farms and knew that someday, his hearts desire would just fall into his life. He didn’t expect it to happen the way it did but was so thankful for Bullet and that shovel of manure. He needs to find a way to get Cass to see that he is her forever and that she belongs with him. Yes, there are trial and tribulations and Adam messes up, but, once he takes that step back and sees what he has done, he do whatever it takes to make it up to Cass and promise her the forever that she deserves.
This was actually a second chance at love story for Cass. After a terrible heartbreak, she needs to mend, to find herself and her career again. She doesn’t expect to find love or a man that would move heaven and earth for her to be happy and loved … that would stand beside her in the worst of times and accept her – flaws and all. But, she did. Her life will never be the same again and she is so very thankful for that.
I had a small problem with Adam’s self-depreciation throughout the story. I understood that had a lot to do with his upbringing, his feeling of abandonment but sometimes it went a little too far. As for Cass, I felt like she really wasn’t sure what she wanted once everything that she thought she lost came back to her. I felt like she just flipped a switch from taking it slow to full speed ahead with the turn of the page. I understood taking it slow … I was confused when she changed her mind. But, Adam was a gentleman through it all and followed her lead. I was proud of the man he was and happy with the way he treated the woman who completed his dreams. He was also extremely sappy at times and I’m not sure if that enhanced the story or took away from it. I actually found myself rolling my eyes sometimes but, he got his point across and won the lady over.
All in all, I enjoyed the story and would definitely read more of the Graciella series. Sarah Ohlin did write a beautiful and enticing love story.
"A little risk is good for the heart." Although there were so many lovely moments in Sara Ohlin's Flirting with Forever, this is the quote that resonated most for me. It's a piece of advice given from one character to another, and it speaks to the romance here, and to our entire genre. A little risk is what heroine Cass must face. Mourning her husband, she heads out to the country to recharge. While staying at the Brockman family farm, she has a momentous, and smelly (LOL), first meeting with sexy farmer Adam. From then on, it's pure fireworks. Although Cass is more wary, Adam is smitten. This hero is full of easy country charm and flirtation, so much so that Cass thinks he's coming on too strongly at times. But with Adam, what you see is what you get. This is not a man who plays head games. It was actually very refreshing to see that in a hero. Adam just knows what he wants, and seeing him and Cass fall for each other is a fun journey indeed. Sara Ohlin has written a beautiful romance. There are even a couple of thrilling twists in the second half. I've read a few of this author's books, and this one is my absolute favourite.
After getting to know all three brothers, you can’t help but love all of them but in very different ways. I love how Sara Ohlin has made such a universe where it’s so calming that you feel right at home. Each book has such a different feeling in terms of when you’re reading from one of the brothers as they all have different personalities, you’ve got Cruz who’s the more broody one, then you have Turner the one that’s more about being a little cheeky but is also clearly the smart one and then you have Adam who’s love and focus is just based on the horses and the farm and he’s the more gentle one. Sara did an amazing job at creating all three and I just loved Adam’s story as it’s so unexpected and realistic. I’ve never exactly lost my sense of smell or taste, but the emotions and what Cassandra’s body goes through is a lot and must have been difficult for her. I was so swept into the story that I really wanted things to work out for Adam because he’s been the one brother that has literally done everything he can for the farm but also his brothers as he was the one that stayed, he never ran away from his demons, instead he stayed right where they were and did his best to ignore it all. I honestly can’t fault this story, I was swept in from the beginning and I just didn’t want it to end at all. It just seems that no matter what book she writes, her writing just improves and grows, even though it doesn’t need to. But I literally enjoyed every second of it and yet again she made me feel like I was at home and experiencing everything that both Adam and Cassandra were going through. I honestly have no idea if Sara plans to carry on with this series, but if not I’m looking forward to reading more of her work. This series has honestly been such an incredible to experience and I’m so happy that I got to discover Sara’s work, I’d highly recommend that if you’ve not read any of the books that you do because you will get taken on such a magical journey.
Now with both of his brothers back home, the one now married and the other getting his life turned round and settled here, Adam feels a little pang of hurt because he wants the whole package, a marriage, a family, a home that he can be proud of, but as he’s never exactly dated much considering his love is mainly for the horses and the farm, the last thing he expected was to literally hit one of the guests who’s staying at one of their cottages with compost and ruin her boots. However, when he tries to be nice in his usual way, not only does he offend her, but it’s clear that his way of talking to people doesn’t go down well with women or anyone from out of town. However, when he tries to help her up and does have her in his arms, he can’t help but be entranced by her beauty and it’s like something hits him and it feels like she’s his home. Yet she doesn’t exactly want to be around him considering he’s a dirty farmer… With Cassandra having a few of her own secrets, she’s so overwhelmed when her sense of smell and taste come back. It seems that in the little town of Graciella it’s a magical place and it might be the one thing that can fix everything for her. With Adam attempting to start over and seeing if he can fix things between them, will he get a chance at seeing the real Cassandra, will he be allowed to know her secrets???
Set against the gorgeous background of Graciella, a small town in Oregon, and the stunning Brockman Farm, Flirting With Forever is the third in Sara Ohlin's Graciella series. It tells the story of the youngest Brockman brother, Adam, and young widow Cassandra, a guest staying in one of the farm cottages.
Cass is desperately searching for something to give her life meaning after losing her husband, her job, and her sense of smell. After being fired from her position as a food writer in San Francisco she travels to Brockman Farm for a much needed holiday. There she meets Adam, who is the perfectly charming farmer book boyfriend of your dreams. Adam knows from the moment he sees her that Cassandra is the woman he's been waiting for—the woman he wants to build a home and a life with, but it takes her a little longer to get on board with the idea.
It doesn't exactly help that their first meeting is entirely characterised by manure. Literally.
Flirting With Forever is a really beautiful, tender story with an undercurrent of heat to it. I loved watching Adam and Cass's relationship develop and blossom into something that could stand the test of time. Adam's bone-deep certainty that she was it for him was truly wonderful, as was his patience in waiting for her to be ready for him and his love. And as much as this was a story about the two of them, it was also a story about Cass; about her journey to truly living again after the death of her husband, to finding joy in her life one more and gaining a better understanding of herself. And as for the heat? Well, let's just say those shower scenes were something—where can I get me a man like that?
Of course, I also need to talk about the food. You can't have a story about a food writer without food taking up a significant chunk of the book, and let me tell you, this book made me hungry. From perfect, flaky croissants and sticky, sweet cinnamon buns to delicious chicken soft tacos, food, and the act of sharing it is at the forefront of this book. Sharing food and cooking for someone is an act of love, and the residents of Graciella are no exception in demonstrating this.
The true star of the novel, however, is Graciella itself—as is the case with all three books in the series. Sarah Ohlins writes about the town, the farm, and the surrounding land so beautifully that it truly did feel real to me. There's so much heart and soul tied to the land, and the residents of the town clearly adore it; the place is suffused with love in a way I don't often see.
Final verdict: Beautifully, heartbreakingly tender, Flirting With Forever is a heartwarming romance against a truly stunning setting. Five stars!

Adam is a big, brawny farmer with a tender heart and a romantic soul. Cass is a widow who has lost her way in life. She has lost her husband, her job and her zest for life. Cass and Adam’s first meeting is both hilarious and memorable. For Adam, Cass has stirred something deep inside him and he believes he has found his One. Cass can’t believe their messy first meeting will lead to anything good. She has given up on believing anything good will come her way again. It doesn’t matter that she feels a spark of attraction toward the big, handsome farmer or that her sense of smell has suddenly returned after being absent for a year. She sees her time spent in a guest cottage on the farm as a chance to finally start to heal after losing her husband so suddenly. Adam is determined to woo Cass, even after he discovers she is a widow. He knows about loss too and that her heart and spirit need time to heal. He wants to show her that he loves her and will wait for her to be ready for the live he had to give her. Cass doesn’t want to open her heart again, but Adam’s thoughtfulness, gentle ways, and the romantic walks he takes her on gradually shows her that life can be sweet again after a great loss. Being on the farm as renewed her sense of purpose and hope. Just when they have decided to take their relationship a step further, a surprise from her past threatens to tear them apart for forever. Read this beautifully written, charming romance to discover how these two lovers claim their happily ever after.

3.5 stars I liked reading the book and it was different to other books that I read in this genre. It’s not one of my favourite books but it’s worth go give this book a try if you like a sweet and steamy romance.
The story is all about recovering from a trauma and starting to enjoy life again. The book begins when Cass arrives in Graciella to recover from a trauma she has experienced over a year ago. She is there to recharge and restart her life to be able to live again. Not just survive. The way that Adam and Cass meet each other the first time is kind of funny and it was memorable to me. Adam is truly a nice an positive guy and he sweeps Cass of her feet. To my opinion the chemistry and blossoming romance was believable. I could feel the chemistry between Adam and Cass. To me the switch between de mourning and falling in love was a bit too quick. I had the idea that it was written that Cass was mourning the loss, but I was missing this in her thoughts and actions. I expected that there would be more reflections about her old life.
I enjoyed reading about the healing process of Cass and how she is able to enjoy life and love again. Both main characters are sweet and express their love in actions not just words. I adored Adam and he is my favourite character in the book. What I liked most is that he shows interest in others and he will do anything to make the people he loves and animals happy. It exactly what Cass needs.
What I also liked about the book is that it told the whole story for the two main characters. It did not end when I thought it would end. I see it as an extended epilogue. And I like to know what happens to the characters. It could have been a bit shorter to make me enjoy the book more.
I would definitely advice you to read the if you like a romance that will make you feel good, swoon and fall in love with the characters.
This was a very, very sweet and romantic read. I picked up this book following a series of dark, dark romances, so it was almost like being walloped on the side of the head by sweetness, honestly. Not in a bad way, just in a whoa-way.
Sometimes you don't want that commitment-phobe hero the heroine has basically manhandle into giving her affection. And if you're a little sick of that sort of hero, then you'll definitely love Adam: the gentle farmer who wants, more than anything, to find true love, settle down, and raise a family. It was seriously a wonderful thing to witness and I really loved reading his point-of-view and getting to see our heroine through his eyes.
Cassandra was a pretty interesting heroine. She wasn't flawless by any means (carrying around a lot of baggage), but she made for a dynamic and captivating character which I appreciated from a romance novel in which the hero isn't offering much of the conflict himself. Still, it never felt like her problems were overly dramatic or unrealistic. She just felt like a real person.
I actually found myself rather enamored with the way Ohlin wrote this novel which was interesting because I've read three of her books now and each one had a pretty distinct writing style that matched the tone of her book. This one--with its in-depth descriptions of the beautiful scenery, the character's emotional journeys, and their personal discoveries--was just perfectly written.
Basically, you're going to pick up this book if you enjoy the flowery, romantic writing of those 80s romance novels without all the sexism and misogyny and general problematic undertones. But it's also...better than those. I don't know. Just know that this book stands out among the sea of billionaire romances and overly dramatic romance novels of late (I do love those, don't get me wrong, but this book stands out).
I'd be very interested to go back and read the previous books in this series because from the bits and pieces of the secondary characters (Adam's brothers and their spouses) I can tell that they have some great books. Flirting with Forever is out May 11th and you should definitely pick it up!
** This book was provided free by the author in exchange for an honest review**
A year and a half after her husband is killed, Cass needs to get away from her everyday life to heal. So she heads to Brockman Farms to enjoy the quiet country life. She was definitely not prepared for the handsome youngest brother to steal her heart. Adam might be the youngest brother, but he’s more than ready to settle down and raise a family on his farm.
Although I liked Cass and Adam, I just didn’t love them ... but they have a sweet love story. The storyline seemed to go really slow for the first half and some of the book and then the last part seemed rushed ... like part of the story was missing.
I received an early copy courtesy of Totally Bound Publishing through NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.
This was a sweet, emotional romance, with a slow burn pace to it. I felt for Cass' situation, and Adam was good for her, but it took some doing to get him to make his move. He's not an alpha man the way I usually like my male main characters to be, but he was sincere and I could see him giving Cass what she needed. Loved his brothers and would like to get to know them more too.
This is book three in The Graciella series and it is Adam and Cassandra's story and omg it is so emotional. Adam loved working the land and being part of the Brockman Farm Business with his brothers Cruz and Turner, Adam was kind, funny, lovable, loved animal's and he was a really great man and he hoped that one day he would find love just like his brothers. Case is a widow and since her husband's death she is devastated and struggling with life so after loosing her job as a food editor and feeling numb she decides to go away for a while to try and heal and get her life back on track. When Adam and Cass meet it is not in a good way as Adam falls into the mature and it flies everywhere including all over Cass who is not happy about it. Cass has been through so much and my heart broke for her and I loved how Adam was when he was around her and the connection chemistry between them is so strong but will Cass be able to overcome everything that is happening in her life to be able to get a second chance at happiness with Adam and heal from everything that she has been through. Wow this was such an emotional story and I couldn't put it down as I wanted to see what would happen next between Adam and Cass. There are so many emotional situations that you feel like you are going through everything yourself and that is what makes this book a real page turner and it was so addictive. Sara Ohlin is an amazing author and writer and I definitely recommend you read this book and others by her and you will definitely not be disappointed as her stories have so much depth and they definitely keep a reader's attention.

Flirting with Forever by Sara Ohlin. Good contemporary romance with plenty of feels and shared chances. I enjoyed the plot and characters. The banter between Adam and Cass felt genuine, the faults each carried made the story more enduring, and the pace made getting to the HEA so much sweeter. No insta here, you had to work for it and in the process, you fall in love with this couple. I would recommend this book and author to others. The third book in the Graciella series a well written story that kept me turning pages. Adam Brockman and widow Cassandra Dorsey meet when she comes to Brockman Farms for some peace. Adam is a very caring man. I enjoyed seeing their story come together. The story was well worth reading, I would recommend. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
this book was amazing! kinda heart breaking to read. he loves working on the farm but something is missing from his life. she is a widow trying to live another day. two people fighting there own demons. read to find out what happens.
Sweet romance with widowed Cats and farmer Adam who meet when she needs a break and goes to the ranch where she meets Adam. He falls hard for her but she does not want to get involved with anyone because she is trying to heal her heart from losing her husband but Adam is relentless in his pursuit of the woman he knows he is destined for. Loved the story and the characters.
One wild romance! I loved the pace and progression of the relationship between the two main characters. The character development was well done, as was the world building. And I absolutely could not get enough of the romance! Can be read as a standalone, but was also a great addition to the series!
The book is a good, and enjoyable sweet emotional romance, read. The story has a good story line. The characters are good, and they have good chemistry.

I really loved this book 2 people just trying to live with their demons and their hurt. It was so loving and heartbreaking all at the same time, and oh I loved the sweet farmer. Written really well that makes you feel it all.
Cass leaves her San Francisco life behind for what she hopes will be a much-needed period of rest and recovery as she works through a recent personal trauma. When, on her first day at the farm, she finds herself covered in manure, she second-guesses what type of vacation this is actually going to be. What began as an uncomfortable- and smelly- encounter turns into a wholesome meet-cute. Cass rediscovers her passions, her identity, and revitalizes her love of her career with the help of a farmer who is looking for his own new beginning, as well.
The title of this book says it all- this book is a flirty, slow burn romance. Cassandra, widowed and frustrated with life, ends up at Brockman Farms and her journey of self-renewal begins. The initial, unusual encounter Cassandra has with Adam had me laughing out loud and I immediately fell in love myself with Adam the sweet, sexy farmer. His sweetness and willingness to love Cassandra was endearing. In turn, Cassandra brought passion and love into his life. Filled with wonderful characters in a idyllic, well described setting I will surely be reading the previous two books in this series. If you're looking for a beautifully written feel good romance I highly recommend this. It'll have you believing that forever can exist!
Everything I read by this amazing author stays with me! I read this one for my online group and being this is the third in the series about three brothers. I immediately had to download the two previous books. What a great setting and memorable characters. I really enjoy everything this author writes!
Flirting with Forever Graciella Book 3 by Sara Ohlin
Flirting with Forever is the third book in the Graciella series, a captivating and touching romance story that is different; beautiful, tender, sweet and sexy at the same time. A second chance at love story; a romance with an undercurrent of heat, burns through the page. Flirting with Forever can be read as a standalone, readers are not missing any vital information from previous titles; but it would be better reading them in order, giving the readers the history of the characters.
Characters are well-developed; understanding, and emotional, with a wonderful chemistry. Our hero is handsome, sexy, and built like a titan; is a genuine gentleman. A man that would move heaven and earth for the woman he loves, making her feel happy and loved, accepting her as she is, standing beside her in the worst of times, and promising her a forever that she deserves. Our heroin is a beautiful, intelligent widow. A broken woman: needing to recover and reconnecting with the passion she once had for life, find herself again. Her life will never be the same again and she is so exceptionally thankful. Together they find that love, and that HEA; threw their trials and hardships.
Author Ms. Sara Ohlin is a true romantic; writing from the heart and it shows. Treating her characters with the greatest respect and dignity; making sure that the readers will love them and will understand them. Her writing is elegant with such grace and sensitivity, it is refreshing to find an author that writes this way. Creating a wonderful world for her characters in such great details, describing things with so much imagination; makes the readers think these characters are on their own world.
I was delighted and mesmerized in reading this book that I intend to get my hands on the first two as soon as possible. After having finished reading this book, I cannot help but feel the author is writing more of their story, I will be in line to read the next book in Graciella series. This story was so, so well-done, I just LOVE finding and enjoying the work of new-to-me authors. This book deserves more than Five stars!

A Steamy, Heartfelt Small-Town Romance “Flirting with Forever,” the third installment in Sara Ohlin’s Graciela series, is a sweet, steamy, and emotional tale of two very different people finding their way toward a beautiful HEA. Adam Brockman is handsome, sexy, and built like a mythical titan! He’s co-owner of Brockman Farms, a venture he runs with his two older brothers, and he loves the land more than anything else in the world. That is until Cupid slams him in the forehead with a two-by-four and drops beautiful, intelligent widow Cassandra into his lap…or, at least, into one of the cabins on the farm. Cass is recovering from the loss of her husband, as well as the job she adored as a food critic for the San Francisco Chronicle, and she’s not sure what to make of the gorgeous rancher. All. Those. Muscles. And that smile. And he has a puppy named Bullet. The hits just keep on coming. She’s on a bit of a journey of self-discovery, trying to reconnect with the passion she had for life and her career by vacationing in one of the Brockman Farms guest houses. Ohlin creates a wonderful small-town setting on the Oregon coast, and the characters – right down to little Bullet, who is definitely a source of comic relief – are so well-developed that you can’t help but want to hang out with them around the fire pit after Sunday dinner. From the sweetest of “aww” moments to the panty-melting sexy times, this story was so, so well-done. And despite the fact that this is the third book into a series, I never once felt like I was missing vital information from previous titles, so this is truly a standalone. However, I was so enamored with the book that I intend to get my hands on the first two as soon as possible. I just LOVE finding and enjoying the work of new-to-me authors!
This is the first book I have read by this author, so obviously read book 3 as a stand alone. While some of the back story about the Brockman family was dispersed throughout the story, I think that more should have been provided, perhaps as a prelude. It would have made understanding the hero and his relationship with his brothers clearer.
Adam, the youngest of the Brockman brothers, loves Brockman Farm and his small town of Graciella and has no desire to ever leave. But he does desire what his older brothers found, a woman to love and a family of his own. Since I did not read the first two books, I'm not clear what the three brothers had to go through to reclaim the family farm, since apparently the older two took off for college and didn't come back, leaving their youngest brother and mother, Katie, at the mercy of their father, until Katie divorced T.D. and married Javiar.
Adam knows exactly what he wants in a wife and the minute he lays eyes on widow, Cassandra Dorsey, he knows she is it for him. However, he does not make a very good first impression. Cassie has come to Brockman Farms to recover from the stress and depression she has been suffering from since her husband was killed by a drunk driver. She is a food writer, but has not been able to smell or taste anything. Adam and the wonderful atmosphere at the farm, help her recover, so that she starts writing again. Adam is so in love with her, but something from her past frightens her and she runs, deserting him like his brothers did. Will love conquer all?
I like the characters and the writing, but parts seem to drag a bit for me and I did get tired of Cassie's comments about him being so young.
I read an ARC from Net Galley.com. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.
Flirting with Forever is a sweet small-town romance featuring insta-love, older woman-younger man, and lots of great family dynamics. It's the third book in the Graciella series, and while technically a stand-alone, I do think I would have benefited reading the first two. (I struggled a little to keep the supporting characters straight—I'm still not sure who Elena is. 😅)
Cass and Adam have a—I shit you not—truly fantastic meet cute, with a bit of help from Adam's puppy, Bullet. From then on, it's game over for Adam; Cass is everything that he wants. Cass, on the other hand, is still grieving the death of her husband and isn't quite ready to jump in with both feet, no matter how drawn to Adam she may be.
I really enjoyed the dynamic between Adam and Cass and loved how sweet and pure Adam was. He is patient with Cass, never pushing her or making her uncomfortable with his presence or attention. As Cass spends more time at Brockman Farms—and with Adam—she slowly comes to crave him, his body, heart and mind. If you love soft, sweet feelings between MCs, this book is for you!
The biggest conflict in Flirting with Forever is actually one of the things I didn't love about the story, but it's a spoiler. This is definitely a me thing and something in which your mileage may vary!
Overall, I had some mixed feelings about Flirting with forever. Sara writes beautifully, though there were times I felt the flowery language overshadowed the story as a whole. I did really like Adam and Cass (and Bullet!) though, and look forward to see what Sara does next!

I really enjoyed this cowboy romance about a widow and the younger man hoping to woo her into a new forever with him. Adam is everything we love in a book boyfriend. He’s a cowboy who’s patient, sweet, gorgeous, funny, and younger than his love Cassandra. He’s willing to go as slow as she needs if it means winning her forever.
Cassandra comes to Brockman Farms hoping to reset her life by getting away from the city. When she become a widow, she lost her way in life and went a little crazy. On top of that she lost her job. She’s a food reviewer who’s lost her sense of smell and taste! When she comes to the farm, she finds more than herself, she also finds Adam. A younger man who used to be too focused on the farm for relationships but is ready to focus on her, If she’ll let him.
They have many things working against them though. He’s dedicated to the farm and she’s hoping to go back to the city. She thinks she buried her heart with her husband but Adam is hoping she has more love to give. Then when a consequence of her past pops up, they have even more working against them. Will Cass stay on the farm and build forever with Adam? Or will she lock up her heart and push him away? Will Adam be willing to give up the farm to be with Cass? Read their story and find out what happens. I loved it and I loved the ending! I also loved how Sara worked “forever” into the story in many ways. It was a perfect fit for this couple!

Adam Brockman, the sexy farmer with a troubled past, has dreamed of the day he could get married and build a house on Brockman Farms, his family’s land. Cassandra Dorsey, recently widowed, hopes her stay at Brockman Farms will help lead her back one the right path after losing her husband and her job. Falling head first into love was not on her list of todo’s when deciding to come to Brockman Farms, but the sexy, headstrong farmer is determined to convince her that life with him isn’t so bad. So I guess the real question is... “What would you give up to make forever come true?” “Flirting With Forever” is a short and sweet cowboy/ranch romance with a gentle cowboy and a broken girl. I think the thing I like most about this book was that, even tho they clearly had a connection from the start, they took their relationship slowly because of Cass’ past heartbreak. While this is book 3 in the Graciella Series, you do not have to read the first two in order to understand this one. I think Sara gave just enough info about the other characters to make it unnecessary to read their full stories. Overall I think this book is the perfect blend of sweet and spicy, with many unexpected twists and turns in the story. I definitely recommend!! I received this as a free ARC copy via Booksprout in exchange for an honest review.

Let me start by saying I LOVED Adam. He was adorable, sweet, funny, charming and sexy. And I loved his relationship with his brothers and his dog, swoon. And while this story had so many opportunities to dive deep into grief and moving on with love after the death of a loved one, I feel like it didn’t show that growth. Enter Cass, who loses her husband and goes to this beautiful farm in Oregon to reset her life. And it’s like boom, all of a sudden she is good to go, there is no growth or struggle with her grief, she just gets there and magically her grief is gone. And while I loved the relationship between her and Adam, again it felt like they met, he threw shit on her (literally) and boom he loved her and wanted to marry her, again, swoon, but really. I love a good romance as much as any other but I need at least SOME aspect of reality. Ugh, this book just frustrates me, everything was so rushed and instant, when there was SO much room for character growth and progression. But it was cute and I enjoyed reading it.
Adam has been working the land and the horses in Graciella since he can remember, and the new Brockman Farms business ventures are all blossoming. Adam's always believed in the farm, in family, and he's convinced he'll find the perfect love in the ideal moment. When Cassandra rents a cabin on the farm and gets into the farm's mock, Adam feels things that he has not felt for a long time and now want to forever.
Cassandra hopes her stay at a Brockman Farm cottage will help her find peace and get her life back on track after her devastating losses that have left her numb, lost, and lonely.
Adam sets out to woo Cass into staying in Graciella and becoming his forever. Can they both find their forever with each other through missteps and misinterpretation, or will their past and uncertainties keep them from finding true companionship, love, and hope?
This is a well-written and easy read by Miss Sara Ohlin. I found it an easy read and welcoming distraction in the afternoon as I read this book.
