Redwood Pack #6.5

Loving the Omega

Rate this book
Maddox Jamenson almost lost his mate before he knew she existed, but his life is now exactly how he’d dreamed it. The war with the Centrals is over, and his family is healing one day at a time. Ellie is reveling in the simple perfection that is her life and family now, but that doesn’t mean she can shed the self-doubts and concerns that come with being a new mother, mate, and Redwood.
When a disturbance in their quiet life threatens to ruin everything they’ve fought for, Maddox and Ellie will have to learn not only to rely on each other more than ever, but find within themselves the power to forgive.
Author’s Note: This is a novella set after book 7 to give you a taste of Maddox and Ellie. It is best that you have already immersed yourselves in the Redwood Pack world, however even new readers will enjoy a glimpse of one of the Redwood’s favorite couples.

This Novella was way too short and I wanted so much more but as a long time Redwood fan how could I not want more, but it did what it was suppose to, give us a taste of Maddox and Ellie and lead us into what Carrie Ann has planned for this world.

Maddox and Ellie have settled into a routine and are finding their peace after the war with the Centrals has finally ended, but their self doubt is still crippling. I love how we get a look into one of my favorite couples and how they are coping and it hurt to see that they weren't doing as well as I had hoped but after reading further, I understood why.

When the one thing keeping them going gets "taken", their world is on the edge of shattering all over again. BUT WAIT.....things are not always as they seem!

Carrie Ann has big plans for the world she has created within the Redwood Series and Loving the Omega just helps to open up her readers and give us a taste of the possibilities of where it can be taken.

I give Loving the Omega 4 out of 5 Stars and strongly suggest that readers immerse themselves within the Redwood Series from the beginning.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I LOVE THIS AUTHOR!!
Maddox and Ellie continue to shine in this post-war novella. Their quiet, domestic moments are beautifully written, and the challenges they face as parents and mates feel authentic. It's a soft, loving epilogue to their intense love story.

I was not expecting that twist. The twist however does open so many more doors for this storyline to follow. With good characters and a brilliant performance I’m really enjoying this series.

Maddox Jameson and Ellie Reyes Jameson's personal story continues in this short novella. It seems that the Redwood Pack is finally knowing the peace it so richly deserves, but appearances can be deceptive.

The nearing of the end of the Redwood Pack is drawing near. Carrie Ann Ryan was the first author I ever read who wrote about shapeshifters. She introduced me to a wonderful new world with the Redwood Pack. I found myself addicted and could not wait for each new release. This is a true series tho and to fully enjoy Loving The Omega you will need to read the series from the beginning. This not a hardship by any means. Loving the Omega may be a short novella, but it is long on emotions. It will have you running through a wide range, everything from the passion you have come to expect to anger to the greatest fear every parent dreads. There is love, self-doubt and a fortifying of inner strengths.

There is only one Redwood Pack left, then Carrie Ann is moving on to Redwood's neighbors, the Talon Pack. As much as I shall miss The Redwood Pack, we have been promised to glimpse them from time to time in the new series. Come fall in love with the imaginative mind of Carrie Ann Ryan.

This is a short novella set in the Redwood Pack world and although works quite well as a standalone it really would make more sense to read this series in order. Fans of werewolf romance will adore this series with its strong males and feisty females . This story allows the reader to catch up with characters from previous books and hopefully opens up a whole new story arc for the author to explore.
Maddox is the omega for the Redwood pack but he's strangely haunted by nightmares and troubled by his lack of peace. Maddox finally has the mate of his dreams Ellie who was previously abused by the Central pack . To make life even more perfect they have taken Charlotte into their home and she's finally starting to see them as her new family. War is over and the Centrals are no more so why can Maddox not shake off his uneasy feelings? When the unthinkable happens and the past comes to claim that which is most precious there's only one thing that Maddox and Ellie can do and that's fight for their family!
This was way too short and I really wanted a little more. This couple have had an incredibly hard journey with so many obstacles to overcome along the way. It's wonderful to see them finally together and they have certainly not lost their spark but for this reader the fast pace meant the story was over far too soon. Fans will adore this though as I think most do have a soft spot for the gorgeous omega Maddox and it's great to catch up with other pack members as this amazing world keeps growing.
I received an arc of this from the publisher in exchange for an honest review

The last installment of the Redwood Pack, ok not really because there is still one more novella in the Dark Fates Anthology and they will make appearances in the up coming Talon Pack series. Loving the Omega is a novella for Maddox and Ellie, a view in to their lives after the... if you have not read Tempting Fate **Don't Read This Review it contains Spoilers for it** after the war with the Central Pack and the deaths of, ok well I won't spoil that. As always I love seeing the happy couple after their story ends and Carrie Ann always puts the finishing touches on her stories with excitement and smoking hot scenes.

As the Omega of the Pack, Maddox has a lot of emotions to deal with especially aftermath of war. Despite it all Maddox couldn't be happier with his Ellie and their adoptive daughter, Charlotte. Enjoying the simple things in life trying to learn how to bake and trying to be the best parents they can be and counseling those in need. But one scare threatens their peaceful existence, Charlotte goes missing. Both Maddox and Ellie go a little crazy thinking the worst possible, is the Central Pack back?

I love this series I'm sad to see it end but man this one was short I wish it had a little bit more, it wrapped up a little to neat. This series is really one you need to start from the beginning, but it is so worth it.

This was such a surprise of a treat because since I had read her last novel duh me what more could possibly there be. Since she is the fine author that she is of course there is the insights that as a reader we love to get for our favorite couples and characters that we meet in a series. They become like friends or family so in this one she gives us a more insightful look into two that were so easy to love with fierce devotion to them because all they endured to be with each other-Maddox and Ellie. Of course it is not often unless briefly you get to touch bases with couples you love so plunge in quickly I did. Right away the warmth from this couple touches you even more with the way only this author can do. She then gives you alittle quickening of the heart with a event that happens involving their adopted daughter that also gives you more of a insight with what exactly happened to the ones who did escape the demonic twist that had invaded their pack the Centrals. Some in the Redwood pack know something is off but can't quite put their finger on it so reading is seeing. This will be a delight to all her readers plus a very satisfying one if you were having withdrawals from the pack. The love between these two is perfect how they compliment each other also. It will also warm you to your toes leaving them tingly too. Received a arc for a honest review.

Loving the Omega (Redwood Pack #7.5) by Carrie Ann Ryan The war with the Centrals is over, but something happens to unsettle the pack. Maddox and Ellie Jamenson struggle with the situation relying upon each other in the process.

I’ve always enjoyed Maddox and Ellie. Their characters are both so well-developed and likeable. Maddox is struggling with the loss of his father and alpha. As his Omega, the bereavement is even more difficult for Maddox to heal from. Thank goodness he has Ellie as his mate. She also, is having some worries; having come from the central pack, she has doubts about her acceptance with the Redwoods.

I really enjoyed this look into the aftermath of the battle. The Redwoods are a wonderful pack, and the Jamenson’s are a worthy family. If you like the Redwood pack series, you won’t want to miss Loving the Omega. If you haven’t read the series, I would start from the first book. I highly recommend the Redwood Pack. It is full of action and excitement. The plot is interesting with a ton of things happen throughout the series.

This gives us a little more information on the Omega of the family, Maddox, and his mate, Ellie. There’s so much that you can say about Maddox and Ellie. He’s the Omega and has a bond with every pack member. He can feel all their highs and lows and helps maintain an emotional balance in the pack. I think there’s one line in the book that really describes how Maddox feels at times. “There was no Omega for the Omega.”
How unbalanced he must feel like his life is. Then we have Ellie, the daughter of the enemy pack. She’s not his Omega but she’s everything else in his life. She’s his heart and the perfect mother of his Charlotte, who is Ellie’s sister who they are raising as their daughter. Something happens that helps them realize that their love makes them so much stronger than they ever realized. I hope that my family never goes through something like they did but if we do, then may our love strengthen and support us as their love did their family. We will always love Maddox, Ellie and the Jamenson family. Please read it if you really want a true love story.

This mesmerizing quick Redwood Pack novella shows Maddox and Ellie that they can learn to forgive as long as they rely on each other and their love.

This fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps readers intrigued with a glimpse of Maddox and Ellie’s life. The author describes the story with well written details that invites the reader to join them as they remember and reaffirm, with a little help from Charlotte’s drama, that they can have a HEA.

Their passion still burns hot, they just need a little help with the relationship and the emotional turmoil and drama draws the reader deeper into the story and captures the reader’s heart.

These glimpses of the Redwood Pack characters entrenches each and every one further into the reader’s heart and makes the reader feel as if they are part of their world. I really enjoyed this one as much as I did the others, but I would like to warn the readers: Do not read this one before Fighting Fate, major spoiler, of course the series is better read in order because of the war that rages with the Central Pack any way.

"Loving the Omega" by Carrie Ann Ryan. Book 7.5 in the Redwood Pack series.

This novella is a look in the life of Maddox and Ellie (from book 5, Shattered Emotions) after the final battle has ended in the last full length book of the series.

It's a story about how Maddox and Ellie are coping with the aftermath of the war with the Central Pack and how they are dealing with raising Ellie's half-sister Charlotte.

Maddox and Ellie are raising Charlotte, Ellie's half-sister. Because there is a significant age different between Ellie and Charlotte, they've decided to raise her as their daughter. Just when they think all is safe, Charlotte goes missing! Was she kidnapped? Is the Redwood Pack really safe? Or are Ellie and Maddox just not that good at being parents?

This novella is a quick and heartwarming read. Maddox and Ellie are two of my favourite characters and it was nice to read about them again. For a short novella, the story really brings up some thoughtful issues.

I really like it.

I enjoyed this look into the life of Maddox and Ellie. I have to admit, I have Fighting Fate on Kindle, but because I received Loving the Omega for review, I read it, even though I haven't yet read Fighting Fate.
While these books are meant to be able to be read as stand alone, there were spoilers in Loving the Omega that made me wish I'd read Fighting Fate first. So, if you are following the series, I recommend you read it in order.
My only complaint about Loving the Omega was that it ended it bit abruptly, in my opinion. That's why I am giving it a 4 instead of a 5 heart review. I reached the end and went "That's it?" I wanted to turn the page and keep going!
As Always, Carrie Ann gave us a great story, with high emotions and suspense. The time line jumps several years into the future, and it was good to see how things are turning out for the Redwoods.
I can't wait for the continuation of the series with the Talon pack.

As the redwoods try to come to peace after having triumphed over a major threat and dealing with loss, Maddox and Ellie learned quickly that there are thing scarier than what they have just lived through. Family and love you have for them.
Loving the Omega shows the bond of Maddox and Ellie growing deeper while coping with what it means to be parents. Passion and emotions scorch the pages as we get to see what life is like after for one of my favorite couples of the Redwood pack. Ms. Ryan shows that there is more than love to being mated. More to being pack than family.
Loving the Omega was an emotional and suspenseful filled story that made me believe that just like her readers, Ms. Ryan is not ready to say goodbye to the Redwood pack either.

I love and adore this series. All of the Jameson couples are great together but Maddox and Ellie are something special. They literally fit together to make each other whole, this makes them unique. Here we get to see how their relationship is growing and how they are still coming to terms with their pasts. They have demons far deeper than the other Jameson's but together they hold those demons at bay. They rely on each other which is something neither one has ever been able to do with any one, and it's their deep love for each other and the strength they pull from it that helps them deal with the insecurities they both have. They are forced to face those insecurities when their family is threatened by outsiders. We also get to see how Kade is fitting into his new role in this book, and it sits well on his shoulders. This is truly a wonderful series with characters that you will root for to the end.

I always lovedCarrie Ann Ryan work and nothing has changed since I started reading her work, once I began reading my ARC of Loving the Omega that hasn't changed. Yes it’s a short story but I am a HUGE fan of The Redwood Pack Series. I love how close the Jamenson’s family is with each other, but also with their pack and their own families. Loving The Omega is no expectation. We all know how Maddox was before Elle and he were mated, but now he’s changed because of Elle and Charlotte. I like the change in him with Elle and Charlotte in his life. He has a purpose even after what happened in Fighting Fate. I always loved the family stature but what really got me too smile was Charlotte with her Uncle Kade and how she feels about Elle and Maddox. I don’t do spoilers but no this you will not be disappointed.

Yep this was way too short and I know it was a novella but when it ended I was going 'what that's it?' I loved how Maddox always tried to be good for his woman, "you both are way to much alike. And I only burned the French toast once." Maddox grimace, remember the taste. He wouldn't let her throw it out. No, had to eat it all to prove to her that he was a good mate. Or a crazy one." Ellie she knows how to turn her wolf-man on, "she sighed then bit into his shoulder softly. His wolf perked up, the slight sting of her teeth against Maddox was more than enough to entice him." And Maddox is such a good mate that the boy gives reigns to Ellie in the bedroom, "anything you want to do to me, Ellie, works for me. Have at it. I love your mouth." I always love reading Carrie Ann's characters they're so special and I just love them.

Months after the end of the war we find Maddox and Ellie settling into life as parents to a young headstrong girl. Between building the pack back up and raising a child, their relationship is still forming into to marriage with a strong foundation of love and trust. Being the Omega, Maddox feels everything from the whole pack, and coupled with all the latest tragedy in his life, he is starting to have horrible nightmares. Ellie, since she is fully mated with Maddox now feels a small amount of what he feels with the pack and will do everything in her power to help him cope with so much hurt and pain. When their daughter goes missing, both feel like they don't deserve the lives they have now but working together they can overcome anything. Pulling on their bond they reconnect and only get stronger so they can become the family they all need.

We met Maddox and Ellie in “Shattered Emotions”. This is update into their lives now after events in “Fighting Fate”.

This shows us how far Maddox and Ellie have comes from Shattered Emotions and how they are their own family. In the beginning when their story was told,”shattered” they were unable to depend on each other and they were fragile and now they stand strong and together.

This is a great glimpse into seeing how far Maddox and Ellie have come. Such a lovely, brief glimpse. Hope to read more from this great group of characters. Ms. Ryan knows how to make her characters come alive.

My Rating: 5*****

We got Maddox and Ellie’s story in Shattered Emotions (Redwood Pack #5). They and the pack have been through a lot since then but things have started to settle down. Loving the Omega is a quick look into how Maddox and Ellie are getting on now that the war is over and they have a chance to be a family. Without spoilers all I can say that despite all of the awful things that have happened to the Redwoods this short story may have the scariest event in it yet.
I like that Carrie Anne Ryan understands that we aren’t quite ready to say goodbye yet and continues to give us these short glimpses into the lives of our favorite couples.
