This is a review of whole series. A pretty short fantasy with unusual main protagonists and a strong first chapter. The art has some graphic violence, especially for fighting scene between two best warriors.
The plots is for young readers. If I read this work when I was in middle school, I would give this book 5 star. But for older readers, you will notice easily guessed mysteries and a major plot hole. I discussed the plot hole in spoiler tag.
The first chapter of this comic is excellent. It should grab reader's attention by introducing main antagonist, the queen, and three interesting protagonists: an old mysterious magician, limbless femme fatale warrior (she is not charmingly seductive, but she is definitely sexy and dangerous), and comic-relief-but-also-genius-inventor-doctor. The introduction is so strong, it has a drawback: I feel the following chapters are less exciting.

I am honestly not sure what to think of this one. The first chapter was very intriguing and promising much, but as the manga went further, the logic packed its bags and said "bye, bye!". I do enjoy my fantasy crazy even if it's saturated with steampunk elements and silly humor, but there's too much "let's just pretend it will work" in this one considering too many things. But I will probably continue reading. The art is pretty awesome and eye pleasing.

Kembali beres-beres database, nemu shounen manhua ini. Artwork-nya bagus, sangat realis sekali, terkadang terlalu realis sampai kaya hasil scan fotonya Sean Connery (sebagai Oldman di sini) dan Cate Blanchett (sebagai Queen di sini).
Basically, ini cerita tentang Oldman yg punya time magic dan beberapa magic trick kecil2an. Ada pembaca yg blg kalau author inkonsisten soal penggunaan magic si Oldman di mana kenapa Oldman baru benar2 menggunakannya di akhir vol 4. Well, sebenarnya sih time magic si Oldman ini baru bisa sepenuhnya dikuasai Oldman di akhir vol 4, itulah kenapa di awal2 cerita Oldman tdk menggunakannya. Dan lagi, time magic ini harus digunakan face-to-face dalam jarak yg sangat dekat, dan juga ada dampak langsung bagi si Oldman, yaitu mengurangi atau menambah usia si Oldman.
Cerita ini bermula dari si ratu yg terobsesi dengan kemudaan, setelah memaksa Oldman memudakan si ratu, di mana usia 3 dekade tsb dicuri dari kemudaan Oldman, ratu bertekad untuk memaksa Oldman menggunakan time magic-nya lagi untuk membuat ratu jadi lebih muda (greedy bitch, huh?). Jadi dimulailah acara kejar-kejaran yg dipenuhi action dan fan service buat para cowok2 yg suka cewek2 berdada besar, haha. Ada juga cewek tipe Joan of Arc, yg kedua tangan dan kakinya dipotong ratu dan akhirnya diganti dengan yg prostetik berkekuatan mesin, jadi ingat Fullmetal Alchemist.
Well, lumayanlah kalo lagi pengen baca yg full action dan no romance. Tapi plotnya sih simpel bgt, menurutku kekuatannya terletak di artwork dia. Manhua ini adalah salah satu pemenang Bronze Award untuk The Sixth International MANGA Award (2012).

The book reads left to right; the individual pages read right to left. The story's odd enough that I'm not sure it would make a lot of sense even without that obstacle. In this volume, the characters are introduced, thrown together, and that seems to be IT; they don't even explain themselves to each other even though there's a year's worth of timeskip!

The beautiful and sometimes suggestive artwork is doing a good job of keeping me interested here. There is a proper story, I guess, but little is properly revealed so far. The basis seems to be revenge for some past wrong. The main character gathers a trio of specialists around him for a dangerous task against the imperial queen. They don't work all that well together, but they do have considerable skills and can even manage to be funny half of the time.
A convicted felon named Oldman escapes the imperial prisons and causes chaos on the streets and in the imperial court. He claims he is the queen's son, though he appears older than she is. He also breaks out another convicted woman named Rebecca. She was a warrior whose arms and legs were cut off as punishment. Oldman takes the girl to Wensheng, a prosector with the knowledge to build her a new set of arms and legs. They go into hiding, during which time they perform magic shows. A year later they are found out by the palace guards thanks to a cooky clairvoyant calling herself Nero.

A strong start, a rushed middle with a weak confusing ending
The review is for the whole manga, all four volumes.
The series starts on a high note, the art looks superb, the characters are very detailed, they seem realistic, in-fact the central character feels like a rip off of Sean Connery.
The plot is intriguing at first, a medieval style world with magic, full of suspense, action, and humor. But as the story progressed the plot falls became apparent, events were happening without any past explanations, the worlds magic system was not explained. This gave a feeling of being rushed or just the story being undeveloped. Also, the ending seemed muddled, I read a fan-made English Translation, so a lot may have been lost in translation.
In the end, felt like a promising work being made to being rushed and then canceled.

Alors mon édition a compilé 2 tomes apparemment mais je l'ai pas trouvé sur Goodreads
Bon déjà, les dessins sont toujours aussi cool. C'est un des plus gros points forts de Chang Sheng (et je rêve d'avoir une histoire de lui entièrement colorié et pas juste en noir et blanc tellement ce mec est trop fort)
À un moment, je m'emmerdais un peu puis une fois qu'on a connu le secret d'Oldman c'est devenu vraiment bien. J'étais à fond, les personnages sont plutôt cool et la reine a raison : elle n'est entourée que d'incompétents.
Bon par contre, on sent quand même que ça a été écrit par un homme... Certaines "blagues" font un peu grincer des dents mais bon...

Dans ce manga, on aime faire souffrir de façon sadique ses personnages, et particulièrement les personnages féminins. Malgré le soin apporté au dessin, il n'est en plus pas toujours évident de distinguer les personnages féminins. Et puis, c'est insupportablement bavard et explicite (l'auteur aurait-il un problème de confiance en lui ou en ses lecteurs ? Il faut qu'il nous explique tout ce qu'il est en train de nous montrer). Enfin, parfois, c'est un peu drôle.

Konusu dikkat çekici olsa da sürekli itelenen komedisini pek beğenmedim. Çizimleri ve karakterleri hoş. İlerleyişi şaşırtmadı, serinin gelecek kitapları daha iyi olacak gibi duruyor.

I read the fan translation of this years ago. It's a very good series with fantastic art and the translation here is solid (much better than the near-incoherence of the fantranslation), but this release is absolutely baffling because it's bound left-to-right but the pages are read right-to-left so the flow is an absolute nightmare to follow.
Shame. It's one of the better manhua I've read, too, so I hope vol 2 is bound better.

Des personnages très intéressants, et une histoire plutôt bien ficelée. En bonus, le dessin est sacrément bien fichu (même si le dessin de certaines pages en 3D n'est pas forcément réussi).
