A book that shows you happiness can breakthrough even our darkest and most painful times. You have to trust in the good in those around you.

Healing Tides focuses on Elsa, the oldest daughter of the deceased Neal Remington of Martha’s Vineyard. Just a mere few months after losing her husband, Aiden, she loses her dad. While working through grief a past client of Aiden’s sues the estate for mishandling retirement funds. Elsa must open up and trust those close to her which includes her estranged little sister.

Be prepared to be sucked into the world of Martha’s Vineyard again from the first page to the last.

This is book 2 In the Katama Bay series. Elsa’s story begins as she is about to become a grandmother and a widow in a short amount of time.

Sadness overwhelms Elsa as she begins to adjust to being alone. As the Katama Bay resort reopens, Elsa struggles with having to work with her sister. Meanwhile, to her devastation, accusations begin to swirl in the community, especially the sailing world, that her husband Aiden, swindled people out of their money. Determined to defend her husband, Elsa consults handsome lawyer, Bruce.

Several family problems arise, as daughter Mallory moves home with baby Zachary.

Will Elsa ever mend the relationship with her sister Carmella? Is Aiden guilty of swindling millions? Can Elsa ever rebuild her life and find happiness?

Thank you to the author for an ARC. I voluntarily leave my honest opinion in this review.

Again we find ourselves learning the life and perspective of one of Katie’s marvelous Martha’s Vineyard characters, while the full story of the island life is also being told!

A new widow, brand new grandma, and many broken relationships are revealed in this book. Her daughter must come home with baby Zachary to regroup and try to find her way. All while Elsa tries to deal with her grief, her jealousy & a broken relationship with her sister. As if that’s not enough along comes a lawsuit that threatens the good name of her deceased husband and the estate her left her.

Another great story! Can’t wait to read the next book & see where life takes, Elsa, Carmella, Janine,& Nancy and the rest of the family!

Elsa Steel has faced a lot of loss in her life, and she is finding it difficult to survive the deaths of her husband and father. The usually positive and happy person has fallen into a depression. Working at her family's Katama Bay Wellness Lodge and Retreat Center, she is the one in need of help. With the support of her family and a lawyer, she tries to recapture her happy spirit. The connection between her and her sister Carmella is pivotal to the story. Katie Winters deftly takes us on this journey from the darkness to the light. The story was so intriguing that I finished the book in one day.

Katie Winters continues to weave her magic with this latest love story, Healing Tides. Make sure you have plenty of tissues handy because this one is really going to touch your heart and soul. (I think I basically cried from the first page until the last word!)

This is an amazing read, with a wonderful storyline; touching characters; very interesting twists and turns; and a beautiful HEA...even with all the pain and sorrow. Please don’t let this book slip away without being placed on your TBR list today—it’s going to touch your soul, I promise. (I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and thoroughly enjoyed it!) ❤️❤️❤️

The Katama Lodge and Healing Center is up and running, busier than ever. But for Elsa, Neal's oldest daughter, it is too much too soon. She is still mourning her husband Aiden's death, still navigating her new life as a widow who is helping her children through the grieving process. Then an official looking letter arrives in the mail containing legal threats to Aiden's good name and honest reputation for doing business as an investor. Elsa bears this burden alone until she finds a lawyer to take the case. Of course once the news breaks, gossip spreads like wildfire across the island making Elsa and her children vulnerable targets. How much worse can things get?

I really liked this book. Like all of winter’s books, it’s set on the Vineyard which is just the best back drop. This is elsa’s story and winters takes you back and forth between the past and now effortlessly. I’m hopeful to read about her and Carmella finding their relationship as much as I want to know more about widower Bruce. Such a lovely story of a widow figuring out the next stage of her life and dealing with the grief and pain from the past.

Another wonderful book in the Katama Bay Series. This one is also set on Martha’s Vineyard and focuses on Elsa. Elsa lost her beloved husband and father within a year and is having trouble moving on from her grief. Making matters worse, is the return of her estranged sister, with whom she has many issues. This book deals with her struggles to move on and to make peace with her sister. I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This was a great book. Elsa has been through a lot. She loses both her husband and father close to each other in death. Now she has to deal with how to get on with her life without the. She has her children, stepmother, and stepsister to gelp her. She also has problems with her sister to deal with. Other things seem to come out that through Elsa into a deep depression. This was a great book about family, love, and heartache.

Realistic Series

Well, there were some unusual changes or curves I wasn't expecting, but isn't that part of making a story great?! Characters are strong, resourceful and compassionate. Who could ask for more?

BUZZED DID NOT RESONATE

Love learning about each family member. But I am curious snout why the author continued ad nauseam to use the phrase he\she buzzed their lips. I found this annoying and it honestly interrupted my enjoyment of the story.
