Something has gone horribly wrong. The moon is blood-red and the sky full of tentacles. The air has become toxic, and monsters are able to manifest at night. It seems like the end of Mistral and the world. But Gryff is the Beastmaker, wielder of the nine Archons and the strongest mage in the world. Once he figures out who this new foe is, he’ll destroy it like all the rest.
This one was slightly better than the rest…. But I still have so many gripes…. Still Gryffs women give him hell about not resting, about taking risks yet they do the same repeatedly, they brow beat him repeatedly… also When Gryff is damaged and injured why doesn’t he call on Xan for healing? I understand she can’t help with his mana depletion but what about all of his other physical damages? There was countless times he had time to study the book but he decided he was “too tired” to do so. He’d rather “rebuild” the enclave while a gigantic demon with tentacles slowly approached the planet… but him? He’s going to give it his all to make sure McDonald’s opens up the next day. 🤦🏽♂️… I understand his attraction to his wives… truly I do, especially to Arwyn since she’s my favorite… but to spend hours upon hours “studying” I think isn’t conducive to saving the world. Knock that out once or twice and get back to that book bro. He’s wasted so much time. But I guess all of my bellyaching does bring us to I guess the last book? Will there be a book 23? You know…. I hope so because I want him to have kids with all the Archons 🤣🤗🫣. Especially Xan… this one was more 3.5 stars for me but I rounded it up to 4 stars. I hope this next book is a home run. I really love the stories but they’ve just kinda got sloppy. Come on Vall! Let’s go brother!
Interesting addition to the series - great to get some answers
I have really enjoyed this series; however, there are times I have questioned Gryff's decisions and this book definitely contained some of those. One, making love in an ancient torture dungeon; two, knowing the urgency with which he needed to return to his own world because of the difference in the flow of time but Griff took the time to read a book; third, after returning home and desperately needing to interpret the book - he goes out in the city to build; there are others but I think this is enough. Looking forward to Book 22!
Gryff has finally figured out what is going on. The ancient demon on the moon. He takes a trip into the shadow scape and finds the key. Well written with a pace to keep you turning pages. The characters v continue to evolve. Love this series. I'm sure you will as well
I really enjoyed reading this book. Things are heating up as the end seems to draw near. What a crazy great ride it's been. The story and characters continue to be interesting and engaging. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next. If you're not reading this series, you're missing something pretty great. This book is definitely worth reading.
Absolutely brilliant, and finally we get some answers that have long been coming. I have been eagerly anticipating the release of this book and devoured it within hours of its release. Couldn't put it down! Really looking forward to the next!
The scope of this incredible story just took it up a notch, and without doubt this next stage will prove a thrilling and incredible adventure! The amazing world that was built over the course of these books is spectacular!
Things are looking grim for our hero and his women. Can He find a way to put this threat away for good? Can’t wait for the last book in this series to close all of these suspense filled gaps!!! Great Job Eric Vall, this has been a heck of a ride.
A mystery revealed has our hero finds new clues about the origin of the shadowscape, and more. This book is more plot of story driven which is a plus for me. (Not thatch don't mind combat and sexy action). If you liked the previous books you will like this book.
Liked this book a lot, especially the bit where Gryff had to research his enemy. Don't know about anyone else, but the destroyed library pissed me off even though it was fictional
Gryff Has really got into at this time It looks like the shadow are coming into their realm of light. On the moon there is a creature that they think is a demon that is trying to get to the earth to devour the inhabitants
Very good book has just enough content like the la20 books has a lot of violence in it and the sex is is incredible just like they would have less sex and more fighting
Is every single person in Mistral an ordained minister with the power to officiate weddings or what?
And i find it funny with how eloquent and complimentary Gryff is in the first person narrative when he's describing his women in new clothes, but then when he actually tells them, it's like the most average, and unoriginal compliments ever.
